Cairns Hotels near Cairns Base Hospital

Loved my stay and I’d like to express my thanks to the Conciege.
Just one suggestion. There is a beautiful spa bath in the room — but there are no grab rails for safety getting in and out.

We recently held our Christmas party at Cairns Reef Casino, hosting over 220 people in the Urchins Function Room upstairs, and I honestly couldn’t fault the experience.

Great hostel with a really friendly atmosphere! The rooms were clean, kitchen and bathrooms too.

This is a great hostel to stay at in Cairns. While a bit farther out compared to the other Mad Monkey locations in Cairns, the CBD and Cairns Central are still within walking distance.

This is a neat little hotel and a great value for the money! The room was comfortable and the location is very central. A supermarket just a few doors away makes shopping convenient.

Absolutely a great little hotel (it's deceptively not that little either). Ticks all the boxes and the location is superb.

Beautiful room with amazing views. All the staff were so friendly. Loved the Executive Lounge for breakfast and evening wine and apps. Also had a nice meal in the restaurant.

Room smell like mould, carpet has lots of yellow spots/stains and pillow cover isn’t clean full of short black hair?

Our stay at the Plaza Hotel was wonderful. We were lucky enough to stay in a suite, the views were beautiful, and the room was spotless and fully equipped to enjoy a few days of relaxation.

I stayed in four hostels during my time in Cairns, and I'd say this one was a good combination of price, location, and cleanliness. However, I must mention the cockroach in my room.

Review of Crystalbrook Riley, Cairns.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Crystalbrook Riley, and overall, it was a delightful experience.

Excellent full service hotel. The room was contemporary with interesting modern lighting and amenities. Lots of space. USB ports on both sides of the bed and the desk.
Nespresso coffee machine.

I had an excellent stay and one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had.

Fantastic location! It’s peaceful and quiet, yet incredibly convenient to get anywhere in the city. The room was absolutely spotless, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.

I stayed here for 2 nights, arriving by car, the check in was easy, but parking is limited, so you have to get in early to get a spot in the small secured parking spot out the back.

Had a wonderful stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city with easy access to the Esplanade, night markets, and attractions like the Ferris wheel.

Mad Monkey Central is an incredible affortable shared accommodation option in Cairns City!

This is a fantastic family friendly hotel. The hotel's focus is on the pool, which is always full of children. The pool chairs etc are dated and would benefit for a new set.

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and had a great time! The balcony was a little small, but perfectly enjoyable. The room was clean and well appointed.

We shared a two — bedroom apartment for 12 days with relatives and this worked brilliantly.

The 3bedroom apartment was very spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Location was very convenient along the Esplanade.

Small bathroom, but the beds were comfortable and you couldn't hear the traffic, except in rare occasions. Room was an okay size.

We stayed in a horizon club suite. It was lovely and clean but didn't quite look like the pictures on the sites.

Exceptional stay at Shangri-La Marina Cairns.
Room was spacious and comfortable and we had access to The Club. View was amazing over Trinity Inlet with a large balcony.

Highly recommend, we booked for 10 nights, this place is quiet clean and has exceptional customer service.

This is a great place to stay as a family of 4 the room we stayed in was a 2 bedroom apartment, it was very clean inside and outside, all though some of the metal items (fruit bowl and shower shelf)

They were a fantastic place to stay, clean, quiet, easy. Perfect location, right on the esplanade and by Muddy’s cafe which we really enjoyed.

A friend and I stayed in the female 6 bed dorm room. We loved it! Lovely common spaces, and bonus points for the pool. The location is fab, you feel surrounded by nature which made it super peaceful.

Good basic mid range hotel. Short walk to the esplanade bars and restaurants. Very quiet and good parking. Basic continental breakfast offered at $18 per head.

What a perfect stay! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The continental breakfast was fresh and had a good variety of options.

Fantastic hostel! The rooms are modern and comfortable, and the privacy curtains on the beds make a big difference. The staff are super friendly and always helpful.

We booked this great place after speaking Direct with management (Sandy… Tony, ) they answered all our queries.
We then booked a 3 week stay. In July 2025.

4 of us stayed 3 nights there. It is older but the room and facilities are fabulous. The staff are also terrific, cannot fault anything. We loved it.
