Brutal review here for a hotel that was a long way off of expectation. I was booked to stay 3 nights. I left after first night. I don't see how this place can claim 4 stars. I've stayed in better 2 star. Bed was shocking. No windows, so have to run ac which made incessant whirring noise all night. I hardly slept. Room service only open for couple hours in evening, no breakfast. Despite recent efforts to spruce the place up, it feels cheap and tired, except for bathroom which was fine. No volume on TV (like no sound whatsoever). Inadequate ventilation in bathroom. List goes on. I travel a lot and I could not stay here. Only good points are the location, and staff seemed nice and genuinely concerned when I checked out early.

The workers are very nice. Located at a convenient location. Close to central station, market city, china town and capitol theatre. Nice bar down stairs and lots of nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

This is a great hotel that’s located close to Central station. Good service and easy check in/out process. The rooms are really clean and modern. Room Service menu has lots of variety and the food is fresh and delicious. Only negative would be that I’ve had issues with the TV remote not working properly on the two occasions I’ve stayed here.

Very spacious room with good amenities. Room didn't have a great smell. Says it includes free Wi-Fi but this didn't work at all. Good location, very close to Central station.

Clean hotel. Located near big street, so a little noisy at night. Morning buffet breakfast is not great. Little overpriced I think.

The hotel is located walking distance to China Town and a few markets! It's a great location. The rooms are kept very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodated all of our requests. We enjoyed our time at this hotel. The only thing I would say was negative were the mattresses. They sunk in as soon as you lay on them.

Relatively inexpensive and good. I would book again.

Great location. Not always easy to find your way there if you are driving. Rooms are clear but needs a bit of a revamp. Outside windows really need to be cleaned.

Excellent rooms, friendly staff. Only issue was the step at the front of the hotel as you walk in, safety hazard if you aren't paying attention. A ramp there would be much safer. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Options for eco friendly people. Hours for check-in very agreeable. I think it's worth the trip in.

Only bad thing is the horrid step as you walk in. Tripped over it as I wasn't paying attention. But rooms are clean, good aircon, staff are friendly.

Great location, staff can be lovely, especially those in the restaurant, food varies in quality depending on staff. Drinks are well priced and the bar is quiet at night, great for drinks after work, some of the staff love to chat when it isn't busy. It can get busy with large tour groups in the morning for breakfast, hot tip, ask the front desk what time the group is dining. If you want somewhere chill and relaxing keep looking. Of you are there for a concert or event this is the right place. Don't pay more than $250 for a standard room, it isn't worth more than that. Elevators break quiet often and getting to your room can be frustrating when that happens. How do I know all this? I worked at front desk for three years.

Excellent location, good price, friendly staff, nice rooms. Good value for money however I would say they're closer to a 3-star hotel than 4 stars. Reason being there is no gym/pool, very few supplied toiletries (we forgot our toothpaste and had to buy our own — most hotels we've been to have small tubes available). Oh and the water pressure is terrible!

Convenient location 2 minute walk from Central Station. Close to everything. Tidy comfortable rooms. Helpful friendly staff. Free Wifi for guests.

Bad service as we were going to charge an exaggeration of money, for an extra bed that we had already cancelled since we did from the beginning; The cleanliness of the rooms should be improved, lots of dust, bad smell, I didn't like it at all.

Lousy breakfast, didn't even bother to change the variety (despite the lack of variety). And no kidding, it's the first hotel I ever come across to hv no complimentary bottled water. It's so ridiculous, I actually dropped my jaw. It's not just not complimentary, it's expensive! It's not even a 4 star hotel… Not even close. If u r from Singapore, Chan brother agency will recommend this hotel. Don't ever get scammed. And house keeping not doing a good job. Tissue running low and they won't bother to give u another one. Service standard very low.

Pleasant enough, nice facilities. Bed was comfy and the room was basic but functional.

Was good value. The only knock on the accomodation was I could clearly hear the occupants of the room next door through an adjoining door.

Was a pretty terrible experience, will not stay there again. Booked a king bedroom, got 2 singles pushed together. Their reasoning "some of our rooms have a king bed and some have 2 singles pushed together". I would expect after ordering a king bedroom, to get a king sized bed in the room. Had to pay extra to get upgraded to suite so I could get a king. Room was moldy and smelly. Our access cards did not work on the door. My wife tried to close the curtains, and the curtain rail fell off because it had 1 screw in it and hit her in the head. There were several holes along the ceiling where it had been reattached, so I very much doubt this is the first time. Literally would rate this place lower if I could.

Good enough to be good value. Rooms are fairly quiet, although it is next to a busy intersection. Close to transport, CBD and Darling Harbor. Had the room ready and allowed us to check in early.

Brilliant location. Hotel average as far as cleanliness and comfort and amenities. Staff good.

Good stay. The bed was terrible! I mean it would have been better to sleep on the floor. No padding, big hard lump between two joint bed. Could not sleep : (complimentary internet was so slow that I had to use my mobile data for the whole week. For price I paid I would not stay here again.

Great pricing for a good room, clean and tidy with fast and complimentary Wi-Fi. Carpets looking a little tired in spots but fittings in good condition. Soundproofing could be improved as could here kids in next room. Location great if your arriving by train in to Sydney.

Nice and clean. But for a 4*Hotel they could have good and fast Wi-Fi. We were three and stayed in one room with Wi-Fi just for one person and what they don't tell you is that you have it just for 12 hours and you need to log off and on again (during the night) otherwise you spend the whole amount.

I couldn't get a room here so it seems popular. Location is right in the thick of it near Central Station and China town. I met there with a colleague at the bar and it seemed very nice and good value for money.

I was at the Rendezvous Hotel for a work function. The room was not ideal as it was very long and thin. If you arrived late and ended up at the back it would have been hard to see and hear. I thought the vegetarian food was nice but the chicken roll had too much dressing. It also would have been nicer to have some warm food as the day was very cold. Even if just the filling of the roll was heated. Overall it was an ok venue but in a good location as it was close to the train station.

Hotel in a good location, room is average. We were given a room on the seventh floor but when we entered it had not been redone by previous guests, so with extreme embarrassment from the receptionist, we were assigned another on the third floor which had a quite dirty and rough balcony. The interior of the room instead were clean.

Staff Services professional, room clean and comfortable, spacious lighting effect is very good, the bed is also soft and comfortable, air-conditioned, the surrounding environment is very good. Nearby can be shopping and sightseeing.

Had a bit if a hiicup to begin with, got given the wrong room, but that was solved quicky. The rest of the stay was pleasant, central to transport, food and entertsinment, would stay again.

Love the location in front of Central station. Room is clean and tidy. Unfortunately they do not provide free unlimited Wi-Fi.

The room 605 was very dirty. Hair all over the shower walls and plug hole garbage left in the draws and not to mention it was very dusty will never stay there again 1/10

The rooms are nothing special. The bed is mediocre and the lip into the bathroom can cause some foot pain. But it's nice for the price, the location is amazing, and the breakfast buffet was nice as well. The "free" limited Wi-Fi is also not the greatest. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Location is great, very central, close to the main railway station. The personl is very friendly, and could fulfill my wish. The pool on the roof is amazing, in the midst of the action can me is dropped and the Sun enjoy.

Good hotel but poor service. We arriveed early and was told room would be ready by 2pm and would get a call. Buy 3:30pm room was still not ready and was then given an awful room with no window. Up grade? More like a downgrade. Wont be staying here again.

You are paying for the location mostly which is fantastic and dead in the heart of the CBD. Staff are friendly and attentive as well. The room itself is uninspiring as it was small and their "queen" bed was essentially two singles pushed together. Blankets, walls and sink were noticeably dirty and just felt considerably outclassed by other hotels in the area. At best, if the price is right or you value location and access above anything then Rendezvous is worthwhile. If you're looking for an experience maybe spend a bit more.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable and rooms were loud and bright. Otherwise quite good.

While the bed and more specifically the pillows gave us sore necks and backs after the second night, the hotel was a nice stay. Conveniently located a hop, step and jump from Central Station you didn't get any more street noise than you would in any other CBD hotel. The staff were quirky and I even saw them get out Google Translate so they could help out a client who spoke French. Breakfast was good (big buffet with plenty of food) and open early enough that my partner could eat before his conference on the Saturday. Rooms were simple but clean. The only pet hate was the lack of a fan in a bathroom — but that seems to be common these days. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant Hotel. Perfect location, not too far to walk to the Markets and take-away food is right at the door. Not to mention the restaurants food is scrumptious. Staff were helpful and excellent. Awesome Hotel, Brilliant stay. Cheers.

It's value for money and great staff. I accidently booked an extra night and officially the time to change the booking had run out. But they were very understanding and allowed me to change my booking even at the last moment, because I had e-mailed them in advance. When I arrived, they checked me in 4 hours earlier and on day of checkout I was unwell, so they gave me 1.5 hours after the official check-out time. That's just the staff. The hotel was in a superb location and the rooms were well-furnished. Value for money as I stayed at another hotel for the weekend (so weekend rate was higher anyway) and they were well behind this hotel. Double thumbs up to Rendezvous. Yup, and free luggage storage (unlike the others who took even a 50$ deposit! ).

I was charged 3 x against my credit card fought with them to get it back had to get statements and dispute it after all that, another 2 charges appeared after they reversed one of the payments and agreed it was there fault, still owed almost $500 from this hotel and not a mention of a sorry or compensation for thier stuff up by taking money from me and I am still fighting this. Ridiculous! was $400 and They took $1200 dollars out of my account and 5 days latier when they returned some of the money back They added another 2 charges of $25 and $5 on it I cant win : (. I Regret ever giving them my CC number now. Supposed to be a Business Hotel check your cc people, made me think if it was my business card it prob would of gone through but later make me look bad.

Stayed here for one night. No problems at all. Room very clean, bathroom well appointed. Special mention to Troy on the front desk — super-friendly and efficient and couldn't do enough to help you. Finally — a hotel with a decent set menu option for dinner! The travelling sales rep's friend! Buy not being "greedy" and over-charging for their room service, I had dinner in the hotel for once, and the hotel got the business. Not many hotels do this, and over-price their F&B by a long way. Not here. However, whilst advertising the $25 "set menu special for 2 courses" on the little card in the room, *nothing* is mentioned on the card about the $5 "tray delivery fee" which brings the total to $30. I didn't know this until it was delivered and I signed for the bill. A bit cheeky. (I wish I could get a job delivering room service trays. I think it must take about 2 minutes to bring a try from the restaurant to the room. At $5 for every 2 minutes that would make me on $150 per hour — not bad money! A really annoying and greedy part of staying in hotels the world over). Reasonably priced internet at this hotel too. Would come back — I liked it overall.

The Rendezvous Studio Hotel Sydney Central is a nice hotel in a great location. The location is great if you're doing things in the Sydney CBD. The rooms are clean and spacious. Even the in-house restaurant is ok, especially if breakfast is thrown in with your stay. The roof top pool is an added bonus, just the thing if you're staying there in the summer months. HOWEVER, the only down side for me was the $38 overnight parking fee; way too expensive, even for Sydney! It should have been included in the room rate.
