Great place, ideal location and nice people!

Not bad Obscure location from Main Manly But wide than u expected Check out 10:00am little bit early.

Nice quiet place to stay with everything you need in compact rooms. Walking distance from the beach and shops and good price.

We stayed 1 night here. Location, clean room and good service. Hot water is very hot like very very hot you need to be careful and only one bad thing is Wi-Fi doesn't work in our room.

Hi we just stayed there on the weekend and we had adjoining rooms. It was close to where we needed to be, the rooms were clean and spacious. The office staff where fantastic. Thankyou.

Nice selection of rooms in a good location just back from the beach. Easy walk to shops, beach, corso and Manly wharf. Will be back again.

I really do not recommend this place. We paid $320 for a two bedroom apartment which seemed fairly outrageous, but we thought it looked nice in the photos so booked it anyway. The location is good and the check-in person we met was nice. These were the only good things about it. It wasn't actually an apartment, but two interconnected rooms in an old house with a sitting room and microwave, sink and fridge in the middle (no actual kitchen). The bathroom was extremely small and very basic. The bed was not at all comfortable and I've read other reviews that said the same. The linen (especially quilt covers) seemed very old and pilled and not necessarily all that clean. Everything in the rooms (crockery, furniture, lamps etc) seemed fairly randomly assembled from Kmart, IKEA and op shops — — no actual planning or expense has gone into the fit — out. We could have forgiven all of this, however, if we'd been able to get a good night's rest. Unfortunately, this was not to be because all the rooms in the house (some of which seem to have long-term tenants so it's sort of a boarding house set-up) have very old doors with glass windows above them and massive gaps underneath (see photo). The ceilings are also very high which means not only can you hear every word anyone says in another room, but there is an echo effect so everything is amplified. There were three other rooms in our building and people were talking into the early hours of the morning in two of them.

This room is a very DIRTY shoe box that I had payed $158 per night lucky I only stayed 1 night in this room and checked out as the cutlery still had food on them from the last person and the floors were not even swept or moped, like how hard is it to clean a room honestly! The first night I stayed here was great good apartment for good price but after the first night got changed into a shoe box of a room for a much higher price! The manager and cleaner should be ashamed of this room they changed me into!

Loved our accommodation in Manly, here at The Outback Lodge. Beautifully decorated and our room (Apartment 1405) had a lovely aspect overlooking the quiet residential street. Having said that, it's only a couple of streets back from the beach and only 10 or so minutes walk from Manly Wharf. Super friendly staff too, so we will definitely be back again soon for a longer stay.

Budget accomodation a short walk to the beach. In a room where the ceiling tapered, felt cramped and didn't have a ironing table — had an iron just nowhere to use it — on the bed maybe…, when staying over for a business conference that's worth a whole star.

Cosy. We were lucky to get a park. Great value for money.

Very bad experience came in at 7pm no parking spot, has a very dusty couch, had to wait awhile to get a parking spot outside, the room is cold, will never recommend to anyone. For a place itself the price is too high very poor quality, I have to cover couch with the linen supplied for us to put all over the couch to be safe. Whatever appears to be in the picture is not as nice as it is in reality. Never coming back.

I just worked there for about 2 months. And I can say that after what I saw there I'm never going to sleep in a room there and I advise no one to book a room there. They are using the same blanket cover without washing it again again and again… Imagine you are going to book a room there and using the same blanket where already 50 other people slept with it before. That is unhygienic and so ugly. Also the pillows are older than my grandma. For Shez everything has to be perfect, without spending any money for it. From the outside the outback lodge has a really beautiful paint but the rooms are ugly as hell. Also before I left work we had in one room bed bugs and she was talking with us housekeepers that it was our fault. I already worked at so many places but I can say that these were my worst 2 month every and I can say if you're a Backpacker or student do not even start to work there because she is not paying you well and you have to work really hard for nothing. I was thinking about to call farework but I hope she is going to read it and changes something really fast. And be aware in the interview she told me that she is going to pay me 17 $ but she payed me 15$, after a few weeks, if you are good at work she is paying you 1-2$ more but if you are working to many hours she decided to pay me 15$ again. Sometimes it is more and sometimes it is less.

Nice and neat place with a friendly owner. Our room was supplied with a small kitchen. The bathroom is a shared one. Poor Wi-Fi connection upstairs in the rooms.

Room was okay. Strange layout biggest let down would be Wi-Fi. Good shower and location though.

Nice apartments/bedsit rooms. Clean and very well presented. House has lovely charm. Quiet right beside kangaroo park. 5 minutes to Manley Beach or the mall. Very comfortable.

Outrageous! NO kitchen, NO TV or DVD working, NO working toilet we had to go next building in pouring rain, floors absolutely filthy. Complained to reception who told us it was an "emergency room"?! They gave us an esky to put our cold items in! When we returned from our day we found a TV Cable hanging off our door for us to fix it! Management stated they would give half our money back which we waited 3 days for. A very disappointing stay would not recommend to anyone.

High price for low quality, I will not stay there again.

The scam artists that run this place take $15 off you and give you a Manly Council parking permit. They then direct you to an area behind the buildings and tell you to display the permit in your windscreen and "you'll be fine". No you won't. This is an illegal parking area and you'll be fined $101 every day you're parked there. The rangers love it. The only legal parking is on the street. If you wait about 6 hours you might get one. If you complain to the managers you get A) an aggressive sociopath who won't let you speak, or B) a mild mannered one who pretends that she got booked as well and is going to call the council to have the fine cancelled. The accommodation is rubbish too.

My family and I spent the most wonderful week at The Outback Lodge at Manly, close to the beach, wharf, beautiful apartments we had with ensuite bathrooms and our own kitchens, Wi-Fi was available at a small fee as was a parking permit for our vehicles. This was a special family getogether and we certainly chose the right place could not have been better. We will be coming back for another visit in June and also again for the summer period to catch up with friends. We loved our stay at The Outback Lodge and highly recommend it.

This is a SCAM. They do not accept credit card payments. Take only cash that you will never get back. When you check in they ask you to pay $800 deposit, that you fully forfeit if you check out a single day earlier than what you tell them is the longest you could possibly stay. In my case they wrote one year instead of one week, lol. And I was too tired to read carefully. I never got my $800 back when I checked out after one week. whatever money you give them, you will not get anything back. That is why they do not take credit card payments.
