Fantastic stay yet again! Can’t fault the cleanliness and facilities of this little piece of paradise on the outskirts of Tamworth. Comfy beds, great size rooms for families and ample parking right outside your room. Will stay again!

Not happy in way they made in my opinion of unauthorised dedication on my credit card that had nothing to do with me Nice motel but will never stay there again.

Staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and tidy. This is a fantastic place to stay and the restaurant is excellent!

So we book with a site that the motel has obviously signed up with. It offers a best rate guarantee (through an option called Revato) We also go to great lengths to call the motel directly to confirm that we are able to leave our luggage with them at around 12 noon as we have appointments in the afternoon and hot weather is expected. We arrive at the motel to find that: … a) the girl gives us a lecture (without listening) on how there’s a fee for checking in early — while we TRY to explain that we only wanted to leave our bags there. She kindly agrees to wave that fee (wow — generous) but then lectures us about how we should have called the place directly — which we TRY to explain we did exactly (she was on Transmit-Mode) B) the girl advises us that if we had booked with the motel directly we would have saved “at least $100”. Again we TRY to explain that is what we thought we were doing. She shows no interest. C) we investigate further and validate the best rate guarantee and take it up with another manager (credit here — some listening happened) but no, they are not interested. Is it their direct fault? Dunno. Have they signed up with this booking agent? Indeed they have. We’ll see where this goes with fair trading and small claims but, no, they won’t be getting our recommendation. Oh the room’s not too bad. Not worth a scratch of what we paid but hey … they won’t be getting our recommendation.

Very comfortable and quiet rooms — great facilities — meals in carmens restaurant were fabulous and reasonably priced — loved the gelato! Breakfast in room was great with plenty of options — would definitely stay here again and highly recommend — is a bit out of town but well worth the drive!

Carmen's restaurant is in my opinion the best in Tamworth. Great food and great prices. Occasionally it may take a while to get food as it gets very busy but it is definitely well worth any wait.

So I don't usually travel in my own backyard but this week I have been. After an horrible driving adventure yesterday (thanks Google maps… not) we pulled up on the outskirts of Tamworth at a place called the Stockman's Motel. This place is fabulous. Absolutely fabulous.
The rooms are beautiful and soo clean. And then there is the restaurant Carmen's Little Taste of Italy. The food here is 5 star fabulous.
And to top it off there is the staff. I have never ever come across better staff anywhere in this country.

We all love our stay at you're motel, as we on a trip with busy bus at port macquarie to our way to the gwydir carapark, moter 27 on the bus it was no worries for you to getting check in. Great food too, so thank you.

This was our second stay at this motel and again I happily give it 5 Stars. Why? Room layout is practical, room recently repainted, King bed was like new, carpets almost new. Everything was spotless! Carmen's Restaurant is a gourmet delight! Beautiful italian food but has a wide ranging menu. Child friendly, surprisingly full for a Monday evening. Book in at 6pm is a good time. Food delivery was good, wait staff friendly and efficient. Nice decor. Toilets are immaculately clean. Its now the only motel we stay in when in Tamworth.

Although the property is a fair way from Tamworth proper it has perhaps the best design of room I have experienced — anywhere. The restaurant was particularly good also. Not the cheapest but fine a-la-carte dining. management was pleasant & helpful. I would rarely give 4 stars but here I have no hesitation.

Carmen's restaurant is easily the best value and quality food in Tamworth at the moment. Great meals and a good size. Absolutely delicious.

The restaurant is excellent. Good service, great selection of meals and a lovely atmosphere. Outdoor dining available during the day. Mainly Italian meals, but something for everyone. Large selection of wines, beers and liquors. Deserts are perfect. Menu changes periodically. Good place for a fancy date. Bill splits incur a 10% surcharge. Bookings recommended, especially on weekends.

I found the Stockmans Motel to be one of the best Motels I have stayed at in a long time. The rooms are second to none and the staff friendly and helpful. I travel around Australia every week of the year and the Stockmans Motel is one I will revisit and recommend to anybody who wants a clean and comfortable accommodation, its a 10 out 10 for me.

Decor beautiful, rooms clean, everything works, meal portions huge and truly delicious, nothing too much trouble! Hospitality at its best… no hesitation in recommending you. You have earned your stars by paying attention to all the little things that matter! PS gelato is the best.

Absolutely delicious mothers day lunch. Sensational entree fantastic main meal of risotto and tiramisu for desert. Wonderful gelato ice-cream.

Three course lunch was fantastic (bruschetta, pork belly then Gelato). Other guests really enjoyed their meals as well. Kids where given an activity page to keep them busy then a kids meal which they loved.

Dinner at Carmen's at Stockman's motel in Tamworth. Best meal I have had in ages — served at the table and not ripped off in price. Great decor, great ambiance and if you don't stay over — have a meal here at least — as a treat. Cannot recommend the stay or the restaurant more highly if I tried. Restored my faith in the hospitality industry!

Food was delicious. Some of the best I have had out in a long time. The wait staff however were a little pushy with drinks and attempting to clear plates before everyone at the table were finished.

Great service, great rooms & great food. Such a warm welcome from Carmen and we will definitely be back. We would recommend to all.

My wife and I stayed there for the musical festival, We found this motel to be the best we have ever stayed in. Carmen who runs the places so professional and friendly, she is also a great chef. We would recommend this motel to all. Thanks steve & hace.

Room to move around the Motel.

Rooms are a great size bed quite comfortable, pretty cheap aswell it's just a few mins out of town.

Very impressed, the rooms are large and in great condition. A little out of town but a great place to stay.
