Beautiful Architecture. Awesome Restaurant and Bar. Spacious and Clean rooms. Friendly staff.

I brought 10 ladies out to Tamworth recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ashby House.
We rented the 2 room cottage as well.
Both styles Of accommodation were perfect for our stay and the owners and managers looked after us.
Breakfast was lovely.
Looking forward to future visits.

We're staying at the self contained cottage they have adjacent. Clean, comfortable, air conditioning, fully set up kitchen — simply superb.

Great spot, got in a bit late but still caught the restaurant open. I had the Scotch Fillet and it was up there with the best.

This was the first time in Tamworth so we didn't know what to expect. When first arriving at Ashby house the building itself looked great from the outside. On checking in we were greeted by a lovely gentleman, who not only asked were we had come from and how our day was but all while having a smile on his face. Something a lot of other places seem to have forgotten. He then continued to say, he had decided to upgrade us to a larger self contained room which was greatly appreciated and unexpected. The room was clean and tidy and there was certainly ample space for a family of four. What was noticed straight away was this room was simple but appealing. What they had used to furnish this room by going that extra little mile, made it a very comfortable stay. There's always one thing that a lot of accommodation places don't have and that is pressure within the shower. Ashby house is not one of these places, the shower pressure was wonderful and you could actually get the soap out your hair. Location seemed good, easy walk to town depending on what your choice of activities are. If there was one thing I could pick on, it would be the toilet cistern needed to fill up a lot quicker then what it currently does. All in all a great place to stay when visiting Tamworth. If were ever back in Tamworth, this will be our choice of stay.

Excellent staff and the meal was fantastic. Modern rooms and free Wi-Fi for as many devices you have is just and added bonus. A great place to stay.

We rented tge two bedroom cottage for night on our return to Sydney, beautiful place with nice helpful staff.

Very generously sized rooms. The pool was the perfect temperature and the central location is great. Friendly staff but it was a shame that the restaurant was closed all weekend. Thanks for the stay!

Easy to get too and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless with plenty of room. We were traveling with a toddler and newborn and was a great location right around the corner from the local shopping centre and various food places.

Lovely boutique hotel, close to Tamworth CBD. Rooms clean and spacious, beds comfy.

Nice basic place with good size rooms. It is located on a main road so is very noisy especially as the trucks gear down to stop at the intersection. Ask for a room that faces the side street. 3.5 star.

Pleasant front desk people. Clean, comfortable room, walking distance to many of Tamworth's attractions and I will stay there on my very next visit to the area.

Good location nicely appointed rooms. Double bed only I believe. Did not specify so not a big issue just something I noticed. Nice motel.

Clean… comfy bed… easy check in and out… no food on a sunday night… did not get the breaky room service menu so could not order… rooms good size and contemporary renovated bathroom… very well priced… did the job… got what I paid for… would I return… think I would try somewhere else… would I recommend… sure no reason not to…

Only one toilet in the house and the traffic keeps you awake during the night.

Close to town centre. Clean and very comfortable. Enjoyed my business trip.

I Can't complain about service or the staff all were very nice and helpful BUT the walls are paper thin. You can hear next doors phone vibrating on the table, the toilet flushing, next doors TV, the water from toilet going down our wardrobe pipes then a shift worker (police dog squad) coming home at 3.40 am dropping his (metal) dogs bowl out on concrete outside our room. His dog in the back of the police van and the dog barking at anything that moved. Bad nights sleep had by all.

On our trip to Melbourne had prebooked our overnight at Ashby House. The staff were fantastic (nothing was too much trouble) the room was very well appointed, clean and quite — just what we were looking for. Will stay again with no hesitation.

We had a long day driving, from the north Coast of N. S. W, when we stopped at the Tenterfield Chinese Restaurant, there we saw a motel guide. Ashby House was one of the two listed for Tamworth. Ashby looked good from the Photo and I noticed it was family owned. I Google ‘d Ashby House for reviews which were all very positive, then called Mike at 9pm just as he was about to close the office for the night. It just got better from there, Mike organised a discount on our room rate and gave us a spacious room to accommodate my wife and our 16month old. He let me know if we slipped the breakfast menu under the reception door later that night breakfast would be organised. The room was well appointed and very comfortable, it included large cupboard space with iron, and all mod cons, including net access, mini bar and Austar (Foxtel). A knock on the door at 7:45am and we were greeted in the morning to a smiling Mike and a enormous breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Mike and family. Doug (Social Media).
