Heading back home to Brisbane from Sydney. Solo road trip. Found this gem in Tamworth. Flawless and wonderful greeting from owner. Room spacious and wonderfully clean and welcoming. I was staying at the Four Seasons while I was in Sydney, and this place is on par.

Manager refused to honour a booking and wouldn't let us in the office on a cold night. Stood in the driveway with my booking confirmation while she argued. Her hostility is not suggestive of someone well suited to work in hospitality. She said there were no guests so handing over a key allowing my wife and I to put our small children to bed would have been a simple thing for her to do. We stayed at the Powerhouse and the welcome there was incredible. Took us in and went out of there way to help us. What a difference from this horrid experience.

I stayed 1 night and enjoyed the room, everything was clean and didn't smell dingy. Room was a good size with comfy beds n quiet. Not far from shops.

Good value for money. Rooms are very clean. Bed was comfortable. Had two meals in their restaurant. Great food.

Room was clean, tidy and modern enough. Mini bar and toaster available. No microwave. Foxtel reception poor. Meal in restaurant poor to average but service good. No late checkout available.

The friendly, efficient and courteous staff made our four day stay very pleasant indeed. The facilities were excellent for the price. The room was quiet and private with very good amenities including a dining setting and sofa. Great shower (with no steamy mirror), good air conditioning and a comfortable bed were much appreciated. The pool was well maintained and the restaurant and room service offered very appetising well prepared meals. Easy access, wide parking spaces and close proximity to local attractions and shopping were also a bonus. Will be back.

Booked in about 16 months ago via internet after phoning to confirm advertised price. On booking out they did not honour their advertised price and made us feel as if we were lying. Destroyed our holiday. Manager was real arrogant However the room, service and food was brilliant.

Stayed only one night (April 2010) but found the room pleasant and clean. Restaurant was good as well (and cheaper than most).
