Had to stay in Tamworth for 5 nights recently for a work function which I hosted at the hotel where I was staying. Let me start by saying Georgie did an amazing job at hosting us and organising everything. My event was fully catered for 50 or more people and everything went off with out a hitch! Multiple guests mentioned it was the best catering they can recall. I was there for 5 nights, so I got to explore the town and some other hotels and restaurants. The sanctuary is located nicely centred to everything.

Had the best of stays at the sanctuary inn over the weekend. I booked direct and received a small discount over what was advertised on the booking site. My king room was spacious, tastefully decorated and most importantly CLEAN. Food and service of hotel staff was also 10 out of 10

Convenient location. Rooms adequate, bathroom very small. Good restaurant. Major problem — no allocated parking to a room. Came back at night to find nothing near my room. Was difficult as I left very early the next morning and had to take luggage a fair way to get to my car at the back of the building.

On checkin, the crackling fire place had just been lit which was amazing on this very cold night I stayed, complimented by a large glass of Guinness beer before dinner, I was very relaxed. The restaurant, rooms and service from star are all excellent.

One of the better best westerns I've stayed at in all of my business travels. Service with a smile is always welcome. Complimentary breakfast was included in my room rate with the option to upgrade to a full breakfast for around $10 which was good value. Stayed in room 49 which seems to have had a fairly recent update.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Offsite gym for me and the onsite restaurant definitely added bonuses.

Rooms and service worth of my 5 star review. Intent to reccomend 5. Restaurant 5.5 stars all the way.

Great pics, looks as advertised but that noisy had to put TV on most of the night to try drown out whatever’s kept turning on and off all night and the road noise. Sadly we will not be back to stay again.

Had a pretty good time here for a function. Rooms and food were nice.

Attended a small professional training day. Facilities were great and lunch was ok. Would recommend.

Rooms are a little outdated. Bit pricey for what you get. Good location though.

We stayed at the Best Western Sanctuary Inn in Tamworth last week. The hotel is okay but not great. The rooms are very small and hard to walk around without bumping into each other or having to walk across the bed. The bed on the other hand was very comfortable. I would not recommend the restaurant as I had the tuna salad and it was so over cooked that is was dry and the salad was smothered in vinegar. My husband enjoyed his crab pasta. We chose this hotel because the restaurant had such good reviews but I would rate them a 4 out of 10 and my husband a 6 out of 10. We won't be staying there again.

Room was small for 2 adults and a toddler but if you are only there to sleep it's ok. Our room wasn't ready on arrival (there was no cot) and we were charged for breakfast for the 2 year old however we were told at booking breakfast was included. We were also charged at check out for the cot and this wasn't told to me at time of booking. I would just like to know all costs up front. Not hit with charges at the end. Good location near shopping centre and huge Woolworths. Pool is nice.

Lovely staff that made us feel very welcome! Great room, very relaxing and I must say the Internet was very fast, which is definitely a plus. The overall service and experience was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this place!

Was there for an information session for a job I was applying for. Staff were incredibly friendly and helped me print off some forms I required. Facilities used for the information session were air conditioned, with water and mentos for whoever wanted it. For my short time spent there, I had a great experience.

Average accommodation. Decor very dated. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner worked well. Shower has a half-screen so bathroom gets very wet after using shower. Bathroom door in my room kept banging. Had to lean a chair against it so we could get some sleep. Close to highway so was very noisy.

A real life sanctuary in Tamworth. High quality accommodation. Great air con in this hot country of ours.

Came here for Christmas party, we had a great time. Can't wait to enjoy our stay again.

Pretty generic Best Western hotel; clean and comfy but nothing special. Our room had a kettle and toaster, which is a neat extra, but there were no plates to eat the toast on. There was a pretty neat spa and bathrobes in the cupboard, but a super old air conditioner that just barely worked. If you have a little extra money, the hotel across the road looked a little nicer and their restaurant is Michelin starred.

Extremely cheap for high value. Paid $100~ for a room with a spa! Bar staff were friendly and approachable, restaurant serves an interesting menu of delicious dishes.

When I rang and booked the office girls were more than helpful. Even offered when found we were on a bike to have the bike parked under cover!. Arrived at recption polite and helpful staff. Rooms were excellent. Beds huge and comfy. Had dinner at restaurant food was to die for. Staff at restaurant were polite and some of the best waitresses we have experienced. Will stay there again If you don't stay here you are missing out. Congratulations to all staff. Well done.

The staff were very helpful as I had booked for Sat/Sun instead of Friday. They were able to accommodate us. The guttering was rusted outside our room & the rusted water dripped on our car bonnet. Hubbie not impressed. Scenery outside beautiful.

My room was refurbished and pleasant however TINY. The King bed 'upgrade' was 2 singles pushed together without overlay, which is a disappointment. Nicely refurbed bathroom was freezing for a winter stay and icy winds came under door, keeping the air con pumping all night. The shower could not maintain consistent temperature, the hot/cold experience way below par. Definitely not good value for money given Tamworth's extensive accommodation competition. Breakfast ridiculously expensive but the biggest downer was poor staff attitude.

Great room, beautiful dinner, however — breakfast was ridiculously expensive. I've travelled extensively around Australia and a buffet breakfast should be between $15 and $20 for both hot and cold items. This was $15 for the cold stuff (fruit/cereal/yogurt) and $25 for a served hot breakfast with access to cold items (so not buffet hot food). I got a big breakfast and I'd get more at a local cafe for $16. $50 for breakfast for 2 people is too high. This was the only drawback. I would stay again, but I'd take my own breakfast next time or go to a local cafe instead.

Staff & Manager were very friendly and helpful. That was the only good thing about our stay. Air con did not work properly and had to get a fan heater but the room was still cold. Jug window broken and cracked & leaked water everywhere. Big bulge in carpet that I kept tripping over. Toaster supplied but no plates or knives. The cook rang in sick so no hot breakfast available. The list goes on & on. For the price we paid this room & our stay was not worth it.

On arrival staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and full of information… The room we got, which was a loft was just beautiful… Will not stay anywhere else from now on… Love it here.
