Photos are misleading, this place needs a big clean up, the only good thing about this place is the view!

I have mixed emotions about my review. Because on one hand kee the host was amazing and very accommodating and we had lovely conversation with her and we enjoyed her breakfast. The views on the property is on a hill so you looking down on the river, so it was beautiful. But on the other hand the maintenance and cleanliness of the cabin, games and conference room, pool area and property its self was a let down for me, unfortunately. Personally I feel like it needs a good clean and fix up. Sorry Also when coming here on personal hoilday there is no phone reception or shops for kilometers, beside a place call Paradise cafe. So this retreat is great if you want to truly switch of from your world.

Unobstructed view of the river perched on top of a hill. Safe and spacious surroundings. There's plenty of wildlife such as the rare Black Cockatoos. The boat ramp is about 5 minutes drive away, where we were able to kayak from. Just ask the helpful host what direction to head if you are kayaking, as we found out that the speed boats aren't allowed in sections of the river, which unbeknown to us was the opposite direction to where we headed. It's not totally quiet during the day as the speed boats can be noisy, but in the evening it's much more tranquil. Facilities within the cabins are clean and tidy, therefore great value. Chris, Kee and their son Aaron were all lovely and great to talk to in the morning and they make excellent breakfast.

Lovely hosts and great location. If you looking for somewhere to relax for the weekend and get away from noise this is the place. Cabins are rustic and simple but the views make up for it!

Stay here, its fantastic! Close to the water, it's a great place to stay if you're bringing a large group of friends or family.

Great place to chill out. The owners are just lovely. Chris and Kee will do anything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Kees cooking is the best.

We would like to thank Kee & Chris for an excellent weekend, you both made us feel right at home with your welcoming attitude. We love the property and the fantastic view we had from our cabin. We will definitely be coming back. If you want a weekend away with no interruption from mobile phones etc this is definitely the place to go. A wonderful place to relax, recharge and enjoy the scenery.

Absolutely tranquil. The owners are the friendliest hosts. All our wants or needs were attended to without us even asking. The cabins are beautifully maintained and are unique bush cabins. We will definately be returning.

We stayed at the Ferndale Holiday retreat and found that the situation on the Hawkesbury River gave to a very restful and relaxing time. The hosts were very friendly and happy to please. The accommodation was very comfortable and the meals delicious. We would reccommend this for people who want a good break or time with friends or even a conference. There is also broadband access.
