I love everything about this hostel. Especially the hostels guard dogs!

I have been here just one night, but it is been enough. Worst hostel ever, if you have to live in Coffs Harbour I suggest you to book somewhere else.

Kind Staff, Nice memories, nice friends from different country.
I made so many wondeful friends and Beautiful story at there.
They are so fun and sweet and awesome! Also Aussitel is very close to Train station, Airport, City Centre and The Ocean, Park Beach plaza. So if you work at the Farm or wherever near the City or Jetty. This place would be Amazing place for you.
They have many Activity for Backpackers.
And also have information for Farm Job!
they always keep the room tidy.
So much Fun in there :) If you wanna enjoy your coffs life, visit there haha You won’t regret!

Great hostel! Felt instantly welcomed. The place has a chilled out yet fun vibe. Gary & Cherie the owners are great & keep this place tip top. Cherie truly goes above and beyond. Jamie & the rest of the staff couldn’t have been friendlier & anymore helpful… especially on their time off… The staff are a credit to the hostel. This place felt like home for me & I’m so happy I came across this gem of a place. I would recommend to anyone passing through or thinking of working & staying longer.

Best backpacker Hostel in Coffs Harbour. Owners are amazing and very helpful. There are always activities so you will always find something fun to do :)

Good place with all facilities. Lots hot water, big fridges. Plenty of activities and management put something to do up everyday.

It was an alright stay, we got in late and Garry was friendly but stoned, bed's hard and toilets not clean. Honestly wasn't a bad of a stay till getting aggressively knocked on, Garry had told us to take our time in the morning, and we took such assumption, however Sammy was extremely aggressive and condescending making the end of our stay very average. We left within 20 minutes of waking up.

I was 2 night here and it was one of the best hostel staying in my life! Highly recommend.

Great hostel, nice and clean kitchen, all very nice.

Great hostel, amazing free hire of kayaks and paddle boards to use on the river just across the road. Great communal space to hang out in and make some new mates. Also the daily activities are fantastic, went out to see some Kangaroos in the wild at emerald beach and had a great time. Would recommend!

Great location near the creek and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Bit of a party hostel, rooms are basic.

A nice hostel that is kept clean, has a large social area, lots of activities and helpful staff. The only downside is the distance needed to walk to supermarket and beach are around 10 minutes, however there is the fuel station shop and Shearwater restaurant within a couple minutes. The cost of the laundry equipment is also reasonable.

Best hostel in Coffs. Incredible staff made our 2 month stay amazing. Cherie is lovely, Jamie's a dude, Garry's a hard man — in a good way. Meave your alright too. 10/10 would stay again.

Loved this place. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with a real family feel. Definitely recommend!

Rooms are very small and with 6 beds each! People drunk untill late night with no respect for the others guests, and it was full and I'm saying FULL than cucarachas everyware in the kitchen, my bread for breakfast was always full than insects! Just disgusting! Guys go next door!

Super clean kitchen and rooms, fast Wi-Fi for free, funny activities twice a day, pool… everything was just great ❤

Immediately felt welcome by all staff, was picked up at the bus station and given a mini tour around the area for places we might need or want to know about, then taken up to Beacon Hills lookout point and told about the best places to swim / surf etc. When I got to the hostel the staff told us all about the area and the best things to do and see as well as sharing the activity that they do on a daily basis! On my first night we headed to a bottle shop then walked to mutton-bird island to watch the sunset and have a few drinks — getting to know others from the hostel. The atmosphere is so relaxed and comfortable, you can ask the staff anything and they will be more than willing to help you / find information for you! And to top the whole experience off… they have a pool! The best hostel I have stayed in by far! I would recommend to anyone!

For $30 P/N when booking online its a nice place to stay with friendly staff. Only issue is the backpackers stay up late nearly all night partying.

Excellent condition of rooms and facilities. Communal facilities were very hygenic and clean. Helpful staff, affordable price and generally good vibe. Would stay again.

Excellent hostel. Fantastic organised tour and free equipment hire is unheard of. Would recommend!

Pretty cool hostel, a lot of people here are working on the farms around so it's quiet at night as they all need to sleep, but the atmosphere is really great anytime.

I stayed here for approx 2 1/2 months and I have to say I've had a great time staying here. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. I've met some really awesome people here and coffs itself has many places of interest and activities to take part in. I highly recommend staying here.

Super goed hostel met geweldige staf. Het is schoon en je hebt genoeg ruimte. Bijna elke dag zijn een kleine tours van ±2 uur die $5 kosten of gratis zijn. Zeker de moeite waard om te doen. Één nadeel, de dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt is 20 minuten lopen, maar als je het slim plant hoef je hier maar één/twee keer naar toe te gaan. Dit hostel is de beste plek om van alles te genieten wat Coffs Harbour te bieden heeft!

Very nice hostel, great atmosphere, a bit of a walk into the CBD or down to the Jetty area but pretty well located. Had an awesome night there and the pub quiz was great fun!

The hostel is located right next to a creek where you can walk, paddleboard or kayak using the free equipment the hostel provides. They also provide surf boards for use on the beaches nearby, and give advice on which ones are safest for surfing and swimming. There are group activities planned twice a day that range from group trips costing a small fee to pool competitions and such for free. The rooms are pretty spacious and have lockers, and are cleaned regularly. The showers are really good: powerful, roomy and easily adjustable temperature from cold to very hot. There's a kitchen which has a load of hobs and equipment and also a laundry room which costs a few dollars, and can be hung out at the back. Not the cheapest hostel, but well worth the money — the atmosphere is lively but not too boisterous and it's a really nice place to be.

Awesome hostel! Free kayaking, canoeing, fishing, paddle boarding for guests. Gary is awesome and full of information! They also do really cheap tours ($3, $5 etc) for kangaroo tours and Bush walks and the like. One of my favourite hostels by far!

Can't fault Aussitel one bit. It's the best hostel we've ever stayed in. From the facilities in the hostel (swimming pool, hammocks, free Netflix) to organised activities (emerald beach to see kangaroos and 4x4 trips, to name a few), this hostel beats any other. It's extremely clean as they have a constant cleaning regime all day, every day. The hostel is located in prime position — 5/10 minutes to the beach and around 10/15 minutes to the supermarket. The owners, Gary and Cherie are just amazing and the staff are lovely. This is a hidden gem, we will be back! X.

I was only meant to stay one night, ended up staying for 3 months. Coffs is a beautiful location, the hostel is perfectly positioned inbetween town and the beach. It has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, owners Gary and Cherie are beauties; always friendly and helpful. Loved the pool and the free equipment to use on the beach and Creek just across the road. Lots of free/cheap activities to get you out and around in the area. I can't recommend this place enough, Coffs Harbour is worth the visit, a great break between Sydney and Byron. Aussitel is the place to stay!

Small cozy Hostel However one of the dirtier. Rooms are not cleaned properly and black mold in the bathroom.
Lots of things to rent for free and free transportation to the greyhound or airport.

Cockroaches everywhere, slamming heavy doors, people talking loud and drunk till 2 am, having showers and using the toilet while sharing "amazing experiences" until 2 am. Almost ruined my long weekend getaway. The administration answer me with a "you can said whatever you want" couple of Scottish female and male with no respect or pride for their work, receptionist also part of the "party" and drunk. Terrible experience, just choose another place, regret that they ask for payment up front. Advice see the place first. Also I ask for a room with private bathroom, I ended walking the corridor from my private room to my private bathroom, also no towels, no shampoo, you need to share with people "permanent residents" gross people that laid all day watching TV. Not tourists.

Really nice social area with Netflix on the TV and free Wi-Fi throughout. My bed was comfy and a slept really well. The staff were also really friendly and helpful.

Great hostel, we lived and worked there for a couple of weeks. Great people, lots of free stuff.

Stayed as an overnight guest at Aussitel, went out for dinner as it was right near a lot of the local food spots. Spend the night with good company, was my best night in Coffs yet. Friendly atmosphere and great staff. Thanks for the stay guys.

Fantastic hostel In a great part of coff's, really clean and tidy and super fun staff made it such a great hostel to stay at! I only booked like 3 nights but ended up staying 10 because it was that good! Loads to do in coffs, can do paddle boarding of canoeing at the creek over the road or go surfing, and all the equipment was free which is like unheard of! The hostel also ran trips in the morning and did games in evening or pizza nights/bbq which was great as the whole hostel got together for these nights! If you've stayed in byron then you'll love this place and helps break up the journey to sydney, was absoloute class!

This is how hostels should be, loved this place. Clean, well managed, lots to do, a great area. But above all amazing staff who really did go that extra mile for everyone. Top marks :-)

I went 3 days but I was in a van. The price is quite expensive to just Park on the sidewalk in front of the backpack. In addition the sidewalk looked lol.
If you forget it, this is one of the best backpack I saw in Australia. Very clean showers, hot water and pressure. The atmosphere is great, there is a large kitchen and also full of free activity or little expensive. For example, I did a 4 x 4 tour in the mountains and it was fabulous. Kayak at disposal free of charge.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at hands down. Modern, nicely situated and tidy hostel, great staff, friendly atmosphere, free surfboard / body board hire etc. Wetsuits for $1. Great beds and showers that have to be seen to be believed! Staff is doing free tours and activities twice daily, too. Free Wi-Fi. Small lockers in rooms (need your own lock).

Best ever. I hv stay in Au for 2year, by working Holiday, So I spend a lot of night in many Backpackers, It was Best. A lot of free activity, a lot of free borrow thing by free Never gonna regret this.

This place is amazing. We stayed here for almost one and a half week. We slept in our camper van on the car park of the hostel. So, we are not really into the rooms and prices and stuff. We payed $14 each, it was a bit more expensive ($15) trough the Christmases days and new years. The staff in this Hostel is just great, very helpful, friendly and chatty. They do every day different activities, it is your choice to join. But we would absolutely recommend that. Also, you can hire surfboards, kayak, standup paddle and other great things for FREE. We met a lot of nice people over there, Coffs Harbour is beautiful and if you do the east coast just stop at this amazing place for a night or a week :).

Great hostel. They offer a free pick-up and drop-off from Greyhound bus stop Shown the local area/ beaches from a lookout point on arrival which was nice touch. Check-in was informative, shown eveything in area and explained about hostel. Two daily activities organised by staff, one in the morning and one in the evening. Whilst there I did surfing, paddle boarding and surf/sea kayaking which all brilliant fun (and free). You can also hire heaps of free equipment and go out yourself whenever you like. We also hired one of the hirecars from the hostel and went to the nearby National Park for the day which was amazing and also visited wild kangaroos nearby at Emerald Beach only 15 minute drive. The hostel is in a good location — follow one road all the way from the turn off from highway and 5 mins walk from beach and loads of restaurants and bars. Clean and comfortable rooms and social areas and FREE Wi-Fi and they have swiming pool, hammocks, tv, computers and movies. Top place with great staff — made my 1 night turn into a week, thank you Aussitel.

This is probably the first and only time I write a complaint about a hostel. Its not something I do, but im making an exception for this lot. I am literally sitting in the Aussitel right now writing this. The couple that own this joint have just talked to me like a piece of ****. The locker in my room doesn't line up properly for the lock that I have. So they are making me buy one of their locks that does fit. The bloke took on an extremely condescending tone with me when we were stood in my room when I told him what the situation was. After that I only had my card to pay for it and it had to be over 10 bucks, so the woman at the desk had the cheek to say 'dont make us chase you up on that' I told the dude I was guna stay at the YHA next time and he made some lame high school bully comment like 'go on then, hang out with the geeks and pay 30 dollars a night' ha. What a funny guy, NOT. These guys are by far the worst hostel owners ive ever seen, it just is not cool. Other than that the younger staff are nice, backpackers are great, met some great people. Anyway rant over, dont stay here.

Great hostel. You need to stop off here if your a backpacker. There tons of activities for free, Bike riding, surfing, fishing, kayaking which are a so much fun to do. Facilities are very good however didn't have much of a nightlife (better to save money till your further up the east coast).

I've met a lot of cool people here. A lot of "free" things.
