Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed,, our 5th visit & booked for another in Feb. Clean & tidy, great views despite the drought, great pool, quiet &. Peaceful.

Owl Head Lodge is a very unique place to stay. We love views and sunsets and experienced both while staying here. Very very quiet. The breakfast supplies were fantastic as was check out at 11am. The self check in/out was very easy. Highly recommend you stay here.
One of the restaurants in Gulgong advised us that on the weekend (Thurs, Fri, Sat) there is a bus that you can catch in and out if Gulgong called the night rider.

Fantastic weekend spent with a great group of friends. Spotlessly clean, beds that were so so comfortable, plenty of space and everything a group would need for a weekend away. Self catering facilities, a dishwasher, a full fridge in our unit and a relatively short drive home to Dubbo made for a top location! Did I mention the sunset from our verandah? Just beautiful. We all loved it. Thank you.

We were quite disappointed with the lack of space to prepare food here, and a laundry was stated in the listing, we found none.
I have also never heard of a place charging extra for not washing your dishes properly.
or for a friend to come and visit.
seems like it's all about the money, lacking the quality connection with guests.

Great location out on a huge property. Peaceful and quiet in luxurious Modern 4+ star accommodation.

9 of us stayed in 4 different rooms — all very different and unique in their own way.
Great location — only 5 minutes from the centre of town and far enough away to enjoy its tranquility. Great for groups or as a couple.
We took advantage of the outdoor bbq and pizza oven and cooked up a feast which we enjoyed under the large verandas altogether before coming inside to the roaring 2 way fire place listening to music on the CD player. It was too cold to use the pool but would love to stay here in the warmer months.
They are all fully self contained so you can relax and stay in or go into town to enjoy one of the great meals at several different pubs — you can even organise to be picked up and returned to the lodge.
The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the decor very tasteful, modern and comfortable with spectacular views — the sunrise and sunsets mesmerizing and the stars just incredible.
We were lucky enough to meet the owners who were just as warm and welcoming — a lovely family.
We will definitely be back.

Loved it! Spent a couple of nights in the Slab Cottage. Wonderful views, peace and serenity, and so many stars, like you've never seen them before. The property is picture perfect. Can't wait to revisit.

This is a fantastic place just outside of Gulgong, but close enough to Mudgee. I would recommend it to anyone. It has all the amenity of a much more expensive facility, but the tranquility of a much smaller venue. Well done to the management team.

Spent a night in the Shearers Cottage recently. Very comfortable and the views from the balcony are relaxing and wonderful. Well worth a visit.

This accommodation was everything that it promised. Great service, ease of access and good tips on best food in town. Clean, quiet and glorious country views.

Amazing place. Definitely the best in the area. Great for groups or individuals.

Initially had some trouble locating our room but once found, we had a lovely time on our 10th anniversary. Woke to a beautiful, picturesque countryside. Best part was that no attendants disturbed us, it was simply a lovely retreat. If one suggestion could be made, that there could be rugs on the floor. Otherwise 5 Stars.

We had the most amazing weekend away here! Self contained, zero light pollution, country views and starry nights all in one place. Highly recommended!

We have just spent two magical nights at Marg & Garry Meredith's Owl Head Lodge in Gulgong. Tranquil, restorative and oh so beautiful views. Accommodation top class. Awesome place to stay, This is the 2nd time we've stayed in the main Glass House. Perfect location, perfect views and tranquility.

We stayed at the Slab Cottage 4 to break the journey from Sydney to Coonabarabran and loved it so much we are doing the same in reverse on the way home. Very well appointed with generous provisions for continental breakfast with cereal and fruit — just bring your own bread. 2 spacious bedrooms, each with A/C and ceiling fans, good TV and mobile phone reception. Note that there is an extra charge per person in excess of 2, even for children. Note also that they have properties in the centre of town in Gulgong under the same name, check the address carefully before booking to avoid confusion as the Bergalin Road properties are true rural cottage getaways.

Very pleasantly surprised with everything We had the glass house a place where you cannot run into each other but even the small details were taken care of. This place will be perfect to get with the 2 studios next to it as a big family gathering. We greatly enjoyed the views and serenity. We will be back. Cath and Ray.

Watch out! I made a booking and then I couldn't stay so I cancelled SEVEN days in advance. They kept my deposit.
