Love the way Gulgong has kept and maintained its heritage. The Prince of Wales Pub is great, atmosphere, the staff and yummy burgers (and more on the menu). Love the old fire place in the court yard.

Prince of Wales Hotel is so friendly and fantastic atmosphere… fantastic staff very friendly and the food is absolutely amazing.

Yet again, the staff in the kitchen have produced the goods.
Awesome food delivered straight to my front door.
I’ve tried a few different meals and all have been amazing but tonight’s steak with mushroom sauce was one of the best I’ve had in a very long time.

Had dinner here once before and the food was great.
Staying in a pub room for the night this time and I can say the rooms are clean and tidy and comfortable, with not covered secure parking for your motorbike out the back.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the beer is cold and tasty.

Brilliant meal — rump steak cooked to perfection — salad was great and first time I have ever seen potato bake offered as a side — awesome.

We were travelling through for work and stayed in your rooms for 1 night. Room 17 was lovely. Super clean, comfy bed, everything you need for a stay. The small details like clean windowns and blinds make a good impression. Convienient parking right near our rooms. Highly Recommended.

The weather was perfect to visit Gulgong. A sleepy little town with interesting people. The pub had a great crowd. Would recommend it to anyone that hasn’t been there.

This is the only place you should consider. Clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom, no dusty smelling fragrance and the staff went over and above. We had dinner and a few drinks at the adjoining pub and we had a blast of a night. If I had one recommendation, if you're wondering where to stay for the night on the way through, stay here. Have a chat with the locals, have a local wine, have a beer and try the food. You'll come to the same conclusion that you'll be back! Pros: clean, safe, friendly, family friendly, affordable Cons: none to mention for our stay. Thanks Steve for the awesome night and many laughs!

One of the best country pubs I've visited. Went for 1 beer, got talking to the owner "rowena" and one of the last to leave. Awesome pub. Highly recommend.

We just came home from our short holiday in Gulgong! We stayed here in this excellent hotel! The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Our room is clean, comfy beds (had a nice sleep hehehe), new towels everyday, there's a tv, microwave and a fridge… we really had a nice stay in our room! The food is delicious! We had a sumptuous dinner, was really full after eating haha! Try their steak! To end our last night I had a cold tap beer in their pub with mixed country and old songs performed live! Oh life is so nice! For a first timer in Gulgong, I must say… I shall return! hehehe all the best! xoxo.

The room we stayed was clean and cozy, comfy bed, clean bathroom, well supplied kitchennette, with tasty chocolate drink! Exclusive parking behind hotel rooms! Great food at the dining area and not noisy pub whete you can enjoy a relaxing evening with live country music! Steve and Rowena are friendly and hospitable! A rustic place to stay I highly recommend for families with kids!

Gulgong has many pubs to choose from, each with their own charm and character. Prince of Wales has retained its identity and is a friendly place to have a cool beer. It also retains is old pub smell unfortunately.

Had a great experience. Great food. Great staff and a great atmosphere all round. Motel room's are of excellent standard. 10/10 would deffinately stay here again.
