Ice junkies own half the building staff were extremely rude they made it very uncomfortable for my mum to live there and took a blind eye to the drug dealing going on in the building I hope there's new staff with the new name.

Great 3 star hotel. Very spacious rooms, clean & has all that you need, tv, Wi-Fi, washing machine, basic cooking facilities. Walking distance to all the shops. I would stay there again.

This place is so run down and yes we were warned of workers but did not expect to be woken at 7am with a concrete drill above us on next level. Utensils in kitchen need to be updated and more available. Photos are very deceiving. Plus on arrival we were seen by a women who found out we were from NZ and said she would not hold it against us. Not professional at all! never will return.

Rooms are spacious & very clean, bathrooms could use an update. Pool needs maintenance but clean. Great location walking distance to everything. Overall very happy.

We stayed in a suite room for business. Clean and comfortable. Not a lot of view and a little awkward to access car park and foyer but otherwise a decent place.

The apartment was spacious but soooo cold. The split system was inadequate for the area it needed to heat. Kitchen needs more equipment for cooking. No view and no sun on balcony so don't expect water view.

Dirty, uncomfortable, cold, disappointing. Advertised pool views & shower bath but got neither. No bath for my lil girl. Food, hand prints & dirty splashes on every vertical surface. Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, they did swap it the second day. Noisy can hear every word spoken & baby screaming next door. Supposed to be recently renovated but scratches & dings in every wall.

Great self contained accommodation and close to the water. Will be staying there again. Great getaway escape for country bumpkins like us guys.

Room was renovated and clean, spots in the bathroom were a bit dirty but not a dealbreaker. The elevator and lobby smelt like cigarette smoke but also not a huge dealbreaker. Overall would come again.

Nice place for a short stay over the weekend. The pool is very small and it can be really cold at this time of the year. Someone can smoke outside of the apartment on the common area which is really convenient.

We stayed for in a two bedroom apartment no 432 for 280$ per night. The rooms looked nice and modern. When we went into the bathroom we got a big shock. There was dust everywhere, especially the washing machine looked very dusty. The toilet was dirty with faeces in it and hair and dust on the lid. It was disgusting. When I reported this I just got an apology. You should expect a better service for 280$ per night.

Apartment was clean, great views. No fan in bathroom which caused issues but also it apparently can set off the fire alarm. Had a great weekend tho.

Serviced Apartments without any service. Family travel avoid this hotel if you can:- Booked for two nights at two bedroom (deluxe pool view). Called in one day before check-in. Request earlier check in (not possible), request late check out (as we have two toddler which makes packing a time effort), not possible. Request a baby cot, not in the room when we check in. Therefore we can't settle the young one to sleep. Entire stay, no room service. Ask for linen change at the reception, "no we don't do linen change". No daily tower collection, no daily rubbish change. For the 2 days between 2 adult, we have to share a 220ml long lasting milk carton for coffee. No mini bar, no breakfast, no even a staff helping out luggage. Pool is small, room is dirty. Sewage is blocked, microwave broken. Aircon smells funny when turned on. Bath room vanity fan doesn't work. The whole facility is old and aged badly. Please don't put baby on the couch, full of mites… On top of all, staffs are not friendly, they don't even seem care. No wonder more apartments get sold out rather than open for hotel business. Disappointing, much prefer the Oaks cross the road.

Great location and water view, within walking distance from the beach. I have stayed here several times over the years. The apartments are clean, affordable and well-furnished, with own laundry and kitchen (with complimentary tea and coffee sachets). The beds are comfy and plenty of wardrobe space. The shower has very nice hot water and good water pressure, was very relaxing. The downstairs cafe is fairly mediocre, the food is not worth the price to pay. However the location is within proximity to many good quality restaurants and diners. The pool and pool area is quite small, not suitable for swimming but is clean and relaxing. Definitely recommend this place for an affordable stay in The Entrance, a short drive away from other Central Coast beach towns such as Terrigal.

Great location, only a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. Our 2 bedroom apartment (pool side) was spacious, clean and spot on for the asking price. Friendly staff and good amenities including a dedicated secure car park. The reviews out there make it seem worse than it really is. You'd be hard pressed to find somthing similar in this location for an affordable asking price.

If housing commission style accommodation is your thing, then I welcome you to stay here. You will feel right at home. This place is plain and simple, a ghetto. A concrete jungle with exposed pipes and overhead walkways and stairwells reminiscent of a Bronx neighbourhood. I suppose I have no one to blame but myself — a hotel built above a carpark in a laneway should have raised some red flags, but we stayed here none the less. Here is a highlight of the most memorable moments of our stay. The front desk is hardly ever manned, and when it is by random, instead of a smiling, happy face to greet you, you are met by a someone with a face like a smacked ass instead. The rooms are, how should I say, pure filth. The remote control for the decrepit air conditioning unit was so dirty that I couldn't even see the digital display panel, and I could only imagine the thousands of dirty little digits that had fondled those buttons before me. The carpet is so stained you'd be forgiven for thinking Pro Hart had spent some time here. The extraction fan in the bathroom didn't work, but here is the best part — there was a sign inside the bathroom advising you to keep the bathroom door CLOSED both during and after showering because the escaping steam would set off the smoke alarm, which would trigger the fire department to come to the hotel, which is a VERY costly exercise, and one which you would be liable to pay for. So you pretty much die of suffocation after having a shower.

This review may be a bit unfair, because the room itself wasn’t bad. It was a long dark space with the only natural light coming from the narrow doors out onto the veranda. The entrance to the foyer is round the back, accessed via a dirty and quite smelly alley way. The veranda of the room overlooks this alleyway as you can see from the photo. Probably won’t be visiting The Entrance again.

Basic 2br apartment, room had a stale smell, too many years of salt and damp from the pool and use. Still, big and functional for purpose.

Very daissapointed from the moment we walked in! Very very tired room, bathroom very dark, even with light on! Shower over the bath sprayed water to much over the floor, damaged wall around the shower. Balcony was very dirty. I complained and was moved to another apartment which was slightly better, balcony still a disgrace. Finger prints everywhere. I wouldn't reccomend this property to my friends.

Cheap but you get what you pay for. The room was clean but in desperate need of and renovations. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. This hotel serves its purpose but I probably see what other options are available.

Reasonable price. Large apartment. Central location. We will go there again.

Okay but budget accomodation. The room is large & the presentation & cleanliness good. The location & parking great but the whole building looks dated. It's now mostly individual owners run by managers. The water views is somewhat misleading as from level three it's only between buildings with a large tree blocking the outlook. It's a good base & comfortable, the TV remote was a problem as several buttons do not work (on/off). No great drama though.

Great position with ocean views and stones throws from the water. Rooms are a little tired and walls are paper thin, could hear a lot of activity in the room next to mine last night :/

Well to say I am dissapointed is an understatement. Walked into the room to find damaged walls that are poorly repaired, faulty sink ware, microwave that doesn't work properly, tables that are damaged and unstable and it was supposed to be a poolside apartment yet the pool is downstairs. The complex is dirty and in dire need of maintaince. Cracked tiles, paint peeling everywhere, a pool not big enough to swim in and a wierd smell throughout. The photos on the Web page have been photoshopped within an inch of their lives. I feel like I have been seriously ripped off. Will never stay here or at another Waldorf branded location again.

We booked a weekend away and the room was very spacious and clean. Great location, a short walk the main strip. Staff were helpful. If you've never been and are doing a late check-in, make sure to ask for clear directions to the Waldorf car park! Overall, a great place to stay at The Entrance.

Convenient location Good friendly staff Room is bit old and lighting is not good Each room gets 2 breakfast voucher but the choices are limited It is OK for 2 or 3 nights for a couple.

Service was amazing, the receptionist was very polite and very helpful. Location is perfect right in front of the waterfront and park. Rooms are basic but very spacious with everything needed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were very welcoming. Had everything we needed and the room was spotless. Will be staying again for sure :)

It was clean, roomy and we had the pool all to ourselves, staff were great and friendly and it's close to everything.

We had a very terrible experience staying here.
Upon arrival we were not greeted, just asked for our credit card and then pointed to the elevators.
Apparently there is also secure parking on level 3 which we weren't told about by staff but another guest.
The room was disgusting, the curtains, aircon and shower curtains were mouldy. There were dead cockroaches on the sink side and mouse poo in the cupboards.
On the duvet there was what looked to be semen.
Went down to reception to complain and the man was very rude saying it was checked just before we arrived and nothing could be done as we'd already checked in.
The cafe was very ordinary, my partner asked for the advertised bacon and egg roll and there were no rolls and coffee tasted like dirt.
We will not be back and will not recommend this hell hole to anyone.

Staff are so friendly had time for a chat plus we also got a free upgrade didnt ask for one our room was beautiful. Will stay again when we travel south again.

Customer service is relatively poor, you should carefully check the apartments for damage when you arrive. Location is pretty good, close to the town centre. Rooms are allright too.

Great price for a 2 bedroom apartment. Good location, right near all of the action. Walls are a bit thin but our neighbours weren't to loud.

No view, dodgy rooms, moldy and outdated. Showers are cold and if you manage to generate any steam you might set off the fire alarm.

I have black hair and I think the staff were very racist. Iam from afghanistan and they were being racist.

Syyed for a week end in Waldorf the Entrance. The location near the water was great. The apartment very spacious and well equipped inclusive of good internet service. The apartment was clean bit somehow basic but still a great value for our money. The onsite management was polite and we felet welcomed and secure.

The family stayed for 10 days in a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and clean and accommodate all 5 of us. The apartment was about 100 m from the water and the entertainment area of the Entrance. We have enjoyed free breakfast and the total costs was a bargain. Highly recomended.
