Been coming here for 17 years At that time Aruba was fairly quaint and not too crowded. Several years ago Marriott got greedy as well as other hotel chains and built a new time share monstrosity next door. what a shame. Aruba has now lost the quaintness. Might as well go to Hawaii. It too has become over run by tourists, but at least it is closer to home. The Marriott Ocean Club timeshare is 25 years old and the yearly maintaince fee runs over $2, 000 not counting upgrades to property! Do believe it is time to sell and say goodbye to Aruba.

Room was clean and available on time. The time shares that sleep 8 with the lock off rooms and full kitchen are very spacious. My kids love the pool and wished we would have paid attention to the afternoon activities earlier in the week. The kitchens are fully equipped including coffee and dishwasher detergent for the week.

Great place for a vacation. The lazy river and pools are pretty nice BUT during happy hour, the water got pretty dirty so be careful and don't swallow the water… son accidently did and spit out part of a tissue. Let's not dwell what he did afterwards.

Enjoyed our week here. Unit was great. First floor so no view but quiet area. Great coffee shop… Fantastic Danish & bagels.

This is my third time staying at Marriott in Aruba. My past stays have been issue free. This time however I've been dealing with an unknown noise issue that has kept me up at night. Reported to front desk not very helpful. Sent security to room, they are unable to identify to source of noise. Two night left time to invest in ear plugs. I love the Marriott brand but this time they didn't make the grade.

Just a great hotel you can share with your family and friends. I absolutely recommend the Champion's Restaurant which is one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Marriot Ocean is a nice enough resort hotel, however, if you are going for the quiet beach go somewhere else. The beach is overcrowded and very commercialized. Dont let management tell you its because the beaches are public and they have no control. The Surf Club next door is too large for the beach and creates the congestion.

Always a great time. I've personally been there five times, and my wife's family has been vacationing there for about 15 years. It's a resort, so consider the families and the cost, but it's packed with stuff to do.

While the Ocean Club itself is beautiful the front desk staff are rude and the sales personel are liars. Do not buy timeshare they will say anything to get you to buy and it is all a lie. Read all the fine print because it will contradict all the verbal communication.

Very beautiful! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our Villa was spacious and clean. We were surprised that when we were outside there were no flies or bugs bothering us. There was lots to do! And lots of beautiful places to sit, relax and enjoy! We are close to a huge pool in the back and the beach! Definitely one of the most beautiful places to stay. We would like to visit again!

The service and resort are what you expect from Marriott Vacation Club. This is a beautiful place. I would come here again. Their schedule for activities is confessing. Activities are spread out between 3 Marriott resorts, one on each side. It doesn't tell you which resort it just gives you a name. Many of the staff were unfamiliar with where these activities were so if you didn't get an early start you would miss the beginning of a activity. A fire exit door on our floor was jammed shut making it very difficult to exit the building in the event of an emergency. We reported it but at this point I still think it's broken. Overall this place is great and I would come back again.

Aside from the music by the pool, everything was outstanding. The food, pool, accommodations and overall service. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Be back soon. Thank you!

Beautiful property, but WAY over priced. Staff at front desk had 2 people with a personality, the rest just seemed to exist. Rooms are very nice and clean. Housekeeping does a fantastic job. The pool is very nice and always clean. The places to eat on the property were all over priced. You can get better food for less by eating at the local restaurants. A mixed drink was $12. However, if it was happy hour they were $7.50. I think they should simply price their drinks at the happy hour price all time. I wanted to buy a pair of reef sandals but Marriott charged $90 for them. Insane! We like Aruba and IF we come back we will NOT be staying with Marriott Vacation Club at the Ocean club.

Home away from home — Only Better! Always friendly, welcoming staff. They do their best to accommodate all requests. Place is beautiful and well maintained. Well within walking distance to other hotels, restaurants, etc. In the high rise district. We have already booked it for next year.

Great resort, with the amazing Marriott quality. The beach has improved in the last years but in my opinion they have way too much "aqua sports" spots. The pool is very cool and quiet. The gym is incredible, full equipment. If you are looking for a great vacation, Marriott ocean club is the best place!

The food is spectacular.

This review was a bit difficult to rate, mainly because of the building and experiences we have had. We revisit Aruba every year and this is our resort. At times we have had absolutely no issues with the villa, other times it seems as if the entire villa is falling apart. The villa is very nicely appointed with large community space, large fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, dining area, and living room. Had a large bedroom with Jacuzzi tub, 2 sinks, nice size shower, large terrace, and 2 large screen tv's, and 2 sliding doors to terrace. Everything you need to cook and eat meals is supplied in the kitchen, and appliances are full size, including toaster and coffee maker. The staff is above and beyond helpful. It just depends on the room you end up with. They will fix the problems, however the engineering team is slow to respond, sometimes takes days.

It has everything and also the beach.

25th or so time here always a fabulous week. Very courteous staff I would mention names but far, far too many to list and would hate to miss any one of them. We purchased 2 weeks when the ocean club opened 1997? and always enjoy the place and more importantly the people that work there, always polite and HAPPY. The rooms and grounds are very well kept and did I mention the great staff? To us an important part of a trip is seeing a smile on the other side of the counter and joking around with the guys working hard down at the palapas.

It is wonderful in every way!

Second time staying here, Sixth time in Aruba. I love it here as it isn't overcrowded, friendly staff and CLEAN. I brought my two kids who are 3 & 6 years old and they have a great time with just sitting by the pool.

This resort is a bit older than the Surf Club, but it's been recently renovated. The grounds are beautiful and considerably less crowded in the pool area and beach than the Surf Club.

Excellent place to hang out and relax!

This is the most beautiful place in the Caribbeans.
