Absolutely breathtaking resort in such a beautiful country. Marriott has by far the best resort in Aruba. The lazy river is awesome, plenty of restaurants and food variety. Plenty of kids and adult activities. Beach access with many water sports options at your fingertips. Definitely a repeat visit!

Nice, Family friendly Place Was a little frustrating when we got there as we had to wait 2 1/2 hrs. For a room and they ended up giving us a different one with an $80 credit, and the only other compliant that we didn't get fresh towels until 5 days into our stay, however our stay was great. The area is geared for family but also adults but both exist without treading on each other. Plenty to do or nothing depending what you want from your vacation, if you want a pool chair you need to get there at 6:30am and wait until the 7am claim time but it's well worth it. Loved it and would return, the 4 stars is because housekeeping was the weak link. But I'm being picky!

Great family resort! The beach is perfect, the lazy river pool is a favorite with our preteens. Everything you need is within walking distance so you don't need a can to go anywhere. There's a Starbucks on site! The staff is very accommodating. Love it and would return again for another vacation.

If traveling with kids this is a great place. The rooms have a full kitchen and there are 2 children's pools. The staff is always very friendly. Also a great water slide!

Surf Club is a great place to vacation. Something to help other is knowing is the fact you're in east coast time so for those of us a few hours behind the pools close a bit early. The lazy river stays open until 10PM however with the wind it gets a bit too chilly to relax after the sun goes down. Hot tubes close at 8PM… wish they're swap those hours around!

We have been multiple times and are impressed every time we stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and well maintained. Lazy river pool is the BEST thing ever! Buy a float at home and take it with you. The surrounding gift shops charge 2-3 x more for them there. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I can't wait to go back!

Aruba is windy af. But you already knew that. So plan on low trajectory shots when you can, and aim accordingly when you can't. There are some gorgeous views, the hotdogs at the turn are world-class, and the pro shop has an outstanding selection. I probably won't play it again, but I'm happy I played it today.

My stay here has been enjoyable this far. The property is always clean as well as the beach. It is all lovely and I highly recommend it to others.

Nice property but I traded my two bedroom two bathroom full kitchen unit that sleeps six at a nice resort in Orlando for this unit which was on the fourth floor and was a one bedroom efficiency with the worst view of the island. I was told I had a view of the pool garden and the only view I had was of a dirty towel on the roof by lattice covering air conditioning units. Not Good!

Our most recent Vacation Club destination brought us here to Aruba and the Surf Club. As expected, the accommodations are wonderful; it makes for a great "home away from home. " Most of the days were spent on the beach under one of the palapas but the pools are great, too, especially if you grab a float and take a few trips around the lazy river. The staff was, of course, helpful and friendly, always greeting you with a smile and wishing you a great day. Of course, Aruba itself is wonderful: "One Happy Place, " as the slogan suggests. We will definitely return here at our earliest chance, and perhaps bring the kids with us, too (the facility is very kid-friendly with activities galore for the kids young and old alike).

Excellent service, very nice beach The city center is about 15 minutes by car, where. You can do a lot of shopping.

Excellent beach and pool. There is a cost to occupy the Palapa and the Beach (kiosk) of 15us $ should be free. Very good restaurants and bars.

Loved the resort its clean and well maintained. Its a great location walking distance from the restaurants shopping and mall, Right on the white sandy beach. Very helping and friendly staff. We stayed in the studio that came equipped with a coffee maker microwave toaster and fridge. There is also a washing machine on the same floor near the ice machine. We had a fabulous view of the turquoise blue ocean. We needed a lot of sun block and big hats as the sun is very strong. Very family and kid friendly. I was Sad leaving to come back to reality!

Everyone is so incredibly friendly! This place is a paradise that I will be visiting again. Many on-site amenities and fun activities!

Too many people for the amount of pool and beach. Too many angry guests. Terrible "chair tag" policy. Nice place to visit. Wouldn't own there.

Had the time of my life here. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food at the captains galley is incredible! Seriously cannot stress enough how amazing this place is!

We came to this resort due to the fact that we needed to bring our 3 yr old daughter with us. This place is definitely kids' friendly and family oriented unlike the Ritz next door. This place is pretty wild, somewhat very loud and jam packed but then, I didn't really mind too much as we needed to be loud with our daughter anyway. But if you are looking to just chill and relax, I am not so sure if this place is all that suitable. Their lazy river is fun and relaxing, although it does get over crowded. The beach can be a little bit better. The water is slightly rough and there's a dock right in front of the beach. Marriott Ocean club is a little more chiller than the surf club, also the beach is better. But then, you can pretty much use all their amenities as well, so you will have many options between these two resorts. I would still go back there no matter what.

Always fun staying here. Friendly staff. Great service. Lots to do and see. A great place for family vacation.

What a beautiful happy island. Marriott was very clean and relaxing. Swim up bar food wasn't that great and the prices are crazy but still fun. Beach food places were outstanding just outside the Marriott property.

I've been coming here with my family for nearly 15 years now and absolutely love it. I personally enjoy blowing up a tube, grabbing a drink and just letting the time fly by on the Lazy River in the pool. It definitely feels like a resort when you are in the grounds, but you are just 1 block away from the downtown area, where there are plenty of places to dine, shop, and if you are into it, the nightlife is awesome and offers a short and safe walk home. There are lots of fun activities to do on the island as well. So far I've tubed behind a speed boat, went off roading on ATVs that you can tour the whole island with, found secluded beaches and natural rock formations, sat on an ostrich at and ostrich farm, and have otherwise just had the time of my life relaxing in the warm weather and constant island breeze. Like I said, I've been coming here since I was a teenager, and now that I have a little one on the way, I can't wait this family tradition with her!

The Marriott Surf Club is a wonderful resort. The Lazy River is absolutely the best. After spending a wonderful week there, we were at the airport when I realized I had lost my phone. We called the phone and the Surf Club operator picked up. It was turned in to the lost and found. Marriott sent a driver to the airport to deliver it to us before our flight left no charge. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your amazing customer service!

The resort is big and beautiful. We love watching sunset from our room too! Staff is best. Food was little expensive because we don’t eat meat we’re eating out. So beautiful! Great weather except wind. Only misunderstanding with booking. We’re group of four and we had a hotel room with double beds instead of one bedroom. I’ll definitely go back even though I got hurt in my knee playing beach volleyball and going to therapy. Because the manager was very nice too! Didn’t charge us for phones which we made to interval.

It's my first time here. Unlike other resorts where I have been this is very large, perhaps of the biggest in this area of the "Highrise hotel". It has activities for kids, lots of pools and the rooms are incredibly comfortable. Almost everything is paid, even the "Palapas" are paid. But it's a nice experience. Recommended.

Me, my wife, my sister, and brother-in-law stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that was very beautiful. The weather is great, and the water is beautiful. We had a blast doing the N. Y. Giants & Philadelphia Eagles game at the poolside bar. It was great socializing with people from different parts of the world. Just remember that a good time cost money. A bit expensive but we'll worth it.

Beautiful views ruined by overcrowding. The resort is too big for its own good. The pool is so filled up there is no where to go. The beach is better as long as you have rented a palapa. The staff are friendly but seem to be overworked. It can take an hour to get food during lunch time. With the amazing property they have, it could be so much nicer.

Love all of the Marriott properties I've been to! The Surf Club is great if you're traveling with family/kids. If your looking to quietly sit by the pool then this isn't the place to go. There's an adult pool area but not enough seating. Rooms are what you'd expect from Marriott.

What an amazing resort. Walking through for the first time was a relaxing experience itself. You can tell each piece of this resort was meticulously thought out. The water temperature is perfect in all the pools and lazy river. The staff is extremely friendly.

Beach, pools, water slide and more! Had a great stay here in a Studio attached to a suite that our good friends have as a time share. We used the studio for 2 adults and 2 kids and shared the suite kitchen space. The pools and lazy river were perfect for the hot days and the kids enjoyed it for 4 days we were there. One of the elevators wasn't working and the limited food and drinks were pricey for what you get.

Neighboring resort. The lazy river is the best. Kids love it. Great restaurants all around.

This rating depends on how crowded you enjoy your vacation, I do not enjoy an overcrowded stay, so this is a main reason for only 3 stars. Rooms are spacious, modern, and well appointed. All the luxuries of an upscale condo. Everything is supplied in its full large appliance kitchen. Staff is very friendly and issues are dealt with quickly. Now the down side. This resort is like a spring break frat party. Marriott fires its best to get the most of every scare inch of this place and it certainly feels like it. There are WAY TOO MANY people here, and not enough pool side chairs. I have witnessed arguments escalate into fist fights over a lounge chair, despicable behavior for young children to witness and not what I want on my vacation.

A good friend of mine died of a heart attack while staying at this resort. The manager and director of rooms, along with other staff members cared for his wife until family arrived from the US. They called the wife when she returned to the US to check on her and also sent flowers to her home. This resort went beyond customer service for this family. The resort is beautiful and a great place to visit but the staff is what makes this resort Home away from Home!

Great vacation spot. Bring a inflatable tube with you. They have a lazy river that is awesome, you won't want to get out of it. You can float in ocean too with it. No waves or undertow just float out there all day. Bring lots of sunscreen with you it's expensive here on the island and you will need a ton so you don't burn, sun is intense. Great beach and happy hour starts at 3-6 daily. A breeze is blowing all day so even if temp is hot it is still nice.

Great place, lots to do, great weather! Coming here for ten years. Staff very friendly and eager to help. Most everyone speaks English, which a pleasant change from other international resorts. Small, nit-picking issue: For years now, I noticed the elevators have no LIGHT to flash when the car is there. Most guests are elderly! By the time they try to find which elevator to go to, the doors are closing and you stand there! We are not as fast as we used to be! A light would help us go to the right door the first time. It looks like there used to be lights, but have been replaced by a decorative piece of wood. Duh!

We have been coming to Aruba for some time and we are never disappointed. The staff is the best… always smiling and very helpful. Our rooms are clean and the pool and surrounding areas are kept beautiful. We have the choice to travel any place but feel like we are home at the surf club.

If you are a time to this place, does not change it by none!

Great resort to relax at but if you like to eat (at all) stay away. The food is wayyyyy over priced and severely under portioned. We ordered a shrimp appetizer at the pool bar and got 4 small shrimp and a 1/4 head of lettuce for over $15, more like a shrimp salad. If I wanted a salad I would order a salad. Also, how do you deliver a pizza early and its burned? … this has been the worst marriott resort I've stayed at since I was 21 and I've stayed in almost a dozen since I was 13. Maid and pool service have been the best though! If your here for the time share pitch be prepared to waste more than the 90 min promised, the sales team is agressibly overbearing (and I work in sales, I know what it is like) we spent more than 3 hours for the vouchers offered. Bottom line, if your staying here expect to be taken advantage of or ready to travel for your meals (locals are more affordable and taste better. Do not buy resort meals, nothing but a rip off!

Excellent hotel, comfortable rooms, good humor and the beach is located within the premises of the hotel. Great place for a relaxing holiday.

It's a lovely resort, but a bit crowded compared to the Ocean Club, which we like better.

Had a nice time here. Fire alarm went off at 2:00 am but it was a false alarm. Nice beach and good restaurants but is a bit far from the activities.

Is a good hotels and is not a deap pool and the service is excellent.

Always enjoy the lazy river soaking in the sun at the beach and relaxing around the pool while being served island cocktails.

Awesome island. Awesome hotel. Great staff. Great rooms. Can't wait to go back there.
