Garden Inn Resort Sevan in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Garden Inn Resort Sevan located and how convenient is it to reach local attractions?

The resort hotel is situated in a beautiful location on the peninsula, just a few steps from Lake Sevan and the public beach. The famous Sevanavank Monastery is within walking distance, approximately 15 minutes away via a stroll along the shore. Guests note that the hotel grounds are surrounded by trees, creating an atmosphere of privacy and tranquility, although some mention noise from people and music at the neighboring beach until 10:00 PM.

Does the hotel have parking?

Yes, the hotel provides free parking, which guests highlight as a significant advantage.

How polite is the staff and how do they interact with guests?

The hotel staff are described as very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Guests have singled out specific employees, such as David, Artur, Onik, and Angelina, for their personalized approach and assistance in resolving issues. The staff speak English; however, some guests suggest that the hotel invest in additional language courses for the personnel.

What breakfasts are offered and how is the quality of the food in the restaurant?

Breakfasts at the hotel are described as excellent, varied, and prepared with love, although some guests noticed that they start quite late, at 9:00 AM. In the restaurant, the Sevan trout, pasta carbonara, harissa porridge soup, and fish soup are highly praised. However, opinions are divided: while some guests are delighted with the cuisine, one review describes the meat and chicken as "woody" and poorly prepared.

How stable is the Wi-Fi in the hotel?

Guests note the availability of fast and free Wi-Fi, which functions properly.

What is the condition of the rooms, are the beds comfortable, and are there any soundproofing issues?

The rooms are spacious, with comfortable mattresses and pillows, and many guests describe them as clean and aesthetic. However, there are also negative reviews: some rooms appear old and in need of renovation, have a musty smell, and suffer from ventilation problems. Issues with soundproofing (such as the noise of acorns falling on the roof) and insufficient curtain density, which allows light from street lamps to enter the room, are also mentioned.

How do the heating and ventilation systems work in the rooms?

The heating system receives mixed reviews: some guests report that the rooms were warm, while others complain about underpowered radiators, making the rooms very cold at night in September. It is also mentioned that the heating and hot water sometimes require additional manual adjustments to the equipment, and boilers may be noisy at night.

What amenities are provided in the rooms and is there a kitchenette?

The rooms feature mini-kitchens with a stove and cookware, though some guests noted the absence of a microwave, kettle, or coffee/tea facilities. Disposable slippers, toiletries, and a hairdryer are provided. Mentioned drawbacks include malfunctioning safes, issues with door locks, a lack of full-length mirrors, and an insufficient number of power outlets.

How thorough is the cleaning of the rooms and common areas?

The quality of cleaning is a subject of much debate. While some guests find the rooms clean, others complain about the lack of daily housekeeping, the presence of hair in the bathroom, dust in the corners, and insects in the premises. Issues with cleanliness in the bar, restaurant, and pool area, where napkins were left for hours, were also mentioned.

What water activities and relaxation areas are available at the hotel?

The hotel has a heated pool (although some guests feel the water is not warm enough) and a sauna. The pool is cleaned every morning, but it is quite small and closes at 8:00 PM. There are also sun loungers, hammocks, and cozy lounge areas with pillows on the grounds.

Is the hotel suitable for families with children?

Yes, the hotel is suitable for family vacations: there is a children's playground with slides on the territory, and the pool and common areas are comfortable for children.

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

The hotel is dog-friendly; guests note that dogs are welcome here.

Are there additional services at the hotel, such as bicycle rentals?

Bicycles are available on the hotel grounds; however, their rental is subject to a fee.

We had a very comfortable stay at Garden Inn Sevan. The property is very pretty with flowers blooming all through the property. We also visited just before the summer season began so it was not crowded at all and the resort is right beside the lake which offers spectacular views.
The staff are very friendly and super attentive and helpful.
The food was also really good and we liked everything we tried.
