Everything was great, except that one of the staff members told me the transport to Shkodër would come for me, but it never arrived. In the end, I had to go and get it myself, which caused me to arrive late to my destination.
We arrived and even though we had a booking they were fully. They drove us to another guest house but it didn't have twin beds and me and my mum didn't want to share a bed. It was a stressful end to the day as we then had to sort out accommodation.

Upon arrival the host wasn’t the friendliest. She had us wait for an hour with no information given as to what was happening and made us feel like we’d booked the wrong room. We had booked a double room but she seemed surprised that we wanted to be together.
We were put in a very small attic room where you can only stand up in the centre which was a struggle for my partner and would be for anyone taller than 5”10. We also felt very claustrophobic as we couldn’t put our stuff anywhere neatly.
The shared bathroom was mouldy and smelt of sewage. I felt dirtier coming out of the bathroom than I did before showering. There is often no toilet roll. As a woman, the small curtain used to provide privacy was very uncomfortable as anyone tall can see straight into the bathroom and it could easily be moved aside as it was on the outside. Having a shower also caused everything in there to be soaked.
Considering dinner and breakfast are paid for separately, it is not worth eating here as you don’t get your own portion and she gave some guests more food if she appeared to speak with them more.
We have stayed in many places on our 2 month backpacking trip but the standards of cleanliness and the overall hostility made us not want to stay again.
