We had our wedding reception there and they couldn't do enough for us, food was outstanding and lots of it, all staff were friendly and so helpful, was given a room as well as the bridal suite just to get ready in. No cleaning up to do at the end of the night or no preparation of the room needed as they done it all for us. It was a wonderful day made better and easier by the hotel and all its staff.

I have just come back from a 4 night stay with a tour operator. The staff are very friendly and courteous and the food was good. Drinks prices were very reasonable and much cheaper then many other places. The hotel is in a very central position in the town. My room was very comfortable and quiet.

Had a great night. Hosting my sons 21st birthday here. A few of our guests stayed here and were very happy. Rooms very good as was there breakfast.

After seeing this duo on four in a bed I would never want to visit an establishment where the owners are vile! The way you’s two behaved was appalling! Disgusting behaviour and no need whatsoever! Anyone who plans to visit stay clear — after watching them on four in a bed it made very uncomfortable viewing! Watch them on channel 4 and you’ll see where I’m coming from!

Just watched you on four in a bed, the way u both went on was disrespectful you should be ashamed of yourselves. Game playing at its best. The old couple should of won by far much more deserving winners than yourselves.

Nice hotel with a good character, water temperature can be a bit unpredictable when having a shower. Breakfast is good, everybody running the hotel is very pleasant.

The Staff is amazing, incredibly kind and caring. The accommodation itself is clean, cosy and in a nice spot of town. Furthermore the prices are absolutely reasonable.
I had an amazing time staying here and will definitely consider coming back to this Hotel should I ever visit the area again.

We had a very enjoyable experience at this character hotel with many original features. We loved the real fire in the restaurant. Food was excellent. Staff we very friendly and it was nice to be hosted by the owner who had time to talk to her guests. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Very pleased indeed with this hotel. Stayed here two nights. Family-owned, and one of the main hotels in town dating to the spa era. Staff are extremely helpful. Lift is a tad small if you are bringing a wheelchair, but can work around. Meals are very good. Breakfast well worth the additional cost. I would most definitely stay here again. Recommend it.

I have really enjoyed my 2 weeks stay at the commodore hotel. The owners are very lovely, The rooms are wonderful. And the food is stunning. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Lovely rooms and brilliant owners. The welcome was very warm and we felt like family towards the end of the stay. Buffet style breakfast was tasty and filling with plenty of choice. We asked for poached eggs which were made to order and cooked beautifully. All in all a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble.

Had a family meal here and it was fantastic! Sitting around an open fire having a drink whilst ordering, before being shown to our table where the food was tremendous. The staff are really friendly and accommodating … thoroughly recommend this place!

Spent a night on 13 May 2016. The room were given was a bit disappointing. Don't want to be to harsh and critical… But it was in the state of dilapidation. But as we were only staying for the night and tired from the days fishing, all I wanted was hot shower and a clean bed and so really wasn't in the mood to complain. On arrival the welcome we received was genuinely warm and friendly and the well cooked breakfast next morning definitely made up for all the sort comings. Will definitely book a room here on my next visit but will emphasis on the room quality while booking. All in all pleasant experience with friendly staff and good breakfast.

It was really good except for a random pair of socks under the table and the bath waste backing up when the basin was emptied of water. Food was really good as was the service.
