Dingy. Run down. In need of a total renovation to bring it up to 21st century. . Only saving grace, food was OK. Not very well stocked bar and Expensive. TV so small it was digficult to watch. Clean sheets. No duvet only blankets.

Excellent place to stay. Meals are superb with great choices. Rooms are very clean. Staff are very friendly and provide excellent service.

Centrally placed in the heart of charming Llandrindod Wells this hotel provides adequate, friendly service at a good price. Some of the decor may be a little tired, but everything one needed was provided, and clean, good breakfast too!

Don't Go… Wallpaper peeling in our bedroom, window frames were black, paintwork scuffed and a 3 inch gap under our door onto the landing where you could see the landing carpet. The carpet in all the hotel looked as it hadn't been hoovered for weeks. The whole hotel needs a complete revamp. We were only there a night, on a coach trip, if we'd have been there longer we'd have booked into another hotel. On a positive note the food was lovely.

Breakfast is ok, staff are nice. The rooms are very dated, beds are dressed using sheets and blanket no regular duvet, in room TV is smaller than most tablets. No Wi-Fi and mobile service on both 3 and Vodafone is very limited. The room I had the shower was useless, shower head holder was far to low (I'm average height) and the shower pipe had a leak so most of the water hit the shower wall. Parking is a pain from my experience I was only able to find street parking which is limited and most is restricted.

Nice pleasant place get what you pay for happy all in all.

Went for Christmas, 5 day break it was lovely, food was brilliant, the hotel is a bit tied but, you can put up that when you are made welcome, the staff where very helpful, nothing is to much trouble, I will definitely go again.

Stayed here on a National Holidays overnight break and we were 'snowed in' after a very heavy snowfall which made it impossible and unsafe for the coach to drive back through the hills. There were 48 of us and it was Sunday. The staff coped amazingly well with the situation. They phoned the off duty staff and they all came in and rallied round including the poor chef who had to send out for extra food and cook another 48 evening meals and 48 breakfasts. All the staff remained friendly and efficient throughout. The hotel was warm and clean with lovely white sheets and towels and plenty of hot water. The food was excellent and hot. We had a lovely Christmas meal with crackers and all the festive trimmings, and everyone got a little gift with their Christmas meal (a diary). Plenty of tea and coffee and there was evening entertainment and a bar. Well done and thankyou so much to the staff for all your hard work. We had a great time.

Good location, 5mins walk from the shops. Spacious rooms but very dated. Excellent staff. Good hearty breakfast. Overall good value for money.

Rooms not bad clean but no freeview no Wi-Fi just a little out dated x.

This is an old hotel. Probably prestigious in its early days. Furnishings and beds need an upgrade but I must say very clean. Welcoming friendly staff especially in dining room where food was good.

Just had a great holiday and stayed at the hotel Helen was a excellent manager also the food was very good the staff were very helpful and friendly my friend Keith and I had a perfect holiday we had a great 8 days holiday on a grand UK holiday rooms and restaurant very clean the waitress were excellent.

A lovelly quaint place, we got what we needed and what we paid for. It was like staying at your grannies house, clean though slightly dated, warm, comfortable, well fed and looked after. Large double room, great shower in clean bathroom, nothing was too much trouble an all round good service at a very reasonable price. Gradual refurb in process but please don't change the old fashioned quality of service. We will be back.

Just spent a fabulous long weekend at the Glen Usk Hotel. They could not make you feel more welcome. The staff were lovely, polite and very helpful and friendly. I thought the rooms were clean, comfortable, warm and nicely decorated. I enjoyed the choice of food, especially the scrambled egg which was the best I have tasted. I would definitely stay there again.

Clean. Polite professional staff. Decor a bit tired but is a good value hotel. Good good and quick service. In the centre of town but Llandrindod Wells is small and not a lot there.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on the 26th September 2015 with National Holidays. The food was good but the hotel is in need of a refurb. The waiters/waitress need more training then perhaps it would be ok.
