I only visited this hotel for a meeting in one of the rooms but I was made very welcome by the staff and the atmosphere was so relaxed. Very nice looking hotel.

Large comfortable rooms good food and drink and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend them to anyone in Manchester will definitely be back.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days had a suite upgrade it was so nice lovely friendly staff made me feel very special on for my bday wkend hope to come again 1 day.

Stayed at the Malmaison for the past 2 nights, would 100% recommend, beautiful hotel, super friendly staff went above and beyond to be helpful room was so nice clean and comfy, the food was amazing really good portion size and very tasty, will definitely be booking again in the future, thank you for a lovely stay 😊

I am previous employer and I still love the Mal, best hotel out there. I never book anywhere else, no matter where I'm visiting!

We went to celebrate a special occasion ordered 2 expensive steaks a sirloin and a cote de beuof…they were both tough and the medium sirloin came blue and inedible for my wife…Very disappointed 🙁🙁

My favourite hotel in Manchester is The Mal. Hubby treated me to a birthday weekend & we had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Beautiful hotel & amazing staff, nothing is too much trouble. Food in the Brasserie is fantastic & the cocktails in the Bar were so good. Special thanks to our waiter Christian (who looks like Mark Wahlberg) who was so lovely & even arranged for a fabulous full English in our room. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful little holiday in my home city of Manchester ❤❤

Deflated and disappointed. Not the glitz and glam I expected. Tired room and cleanliness slightly lacking. Stayed in better for less. So disappointed as my stay was part of a gift from my boyfriend.

Fab location for city centre and carpark right behind hotel so no messing about for parking. It cost £7.50 for 24hrs. Lovely room and staff.

Really just an average hotel
Nothing special at all. Don't know how they justify their prices. On arrival staff are trying to con more money out of you. Breakfast at 17 quid a head, I don't think so. If ya guna charge your prices breakfast should be included and more should be complimentary. There's better hotels in Manchester city centre at half the price. Slept well tho and it was clean and Wi-Fi good etc.

I had a really nice one day stay here — great location just 5 minute walk from Manchester Picadilly train station. Nice rooms, small gym (basic weight stack and 2 treadmills), good bedding, m good showers and a Starbucks in the ground floor. Most of all though, super friendly and very nice staff — was really made to feel welcome and nothing was any trouble to them. Would definately recommend and would come back too.

Really nice place in a good location with friendly staff. The corridor is very echo-y though, so people can easily keep you awake. The restaurant is also rather expensive in comparison with those in the local area.

Overall: pretty good. Stayed for a night on business. Room was clean and a good size, no issues with check in or check out. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good, full English with table service. They charge a £2 supplement for cooked breakfast (base price that was available online only includes continental). I don't really see the point of this for the sake of £2, I'd rather they just marginally increased the room prices to include it as standard. Wi-Fi is capped at 2/2 Mbps which is taking the piss a bit in 2018 — this necessitated use of 4G instead. No power sockets located near bed.

We made a reservation for afternoon tea for my sister's birthday. A few of us are rather fussy eaters but the restaurant listened and accommodated all issues we raised. The service was impeccable. We were looked after and never rushed. The food was Perfect! I would highly recommended afternoon tea here.

My partner and I stayed at the Malmaison last weekend. Very disappointed after spending over £350 on the room to discover stained pillows and hairs all over our bed on arrival. We were told to have a free drink in the bar whilst housekeeping changed the bedding. When we went back to the room we found that there were still hairs all over the bed. So housekeeping returned for the second time and this time we ended up with clean sheets. The only thing I could fault was the cleanliness of the room. The rest of our stay was perfect and staff were really helpful 15% off of car parking was a great touch too.

Recently stayed here for the first time, I would definitely stay here again. The hotel’s very central, stylish and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. As there’s no parking I’d recommend using the Q Park that’s a little bit further than the closest NCP as it’s cheaper and a lot nicer, the hotel can also give you a 15% discount.

I got an It’s On Manchester offer — spa treatments and afternoon tea. Great value. I also had a gin cocktail in the bar beforehand, bar staff were lovely, great cocktail. Rachel is a fantastic beautician, very welcoming and kind — superb massage and facial. Afternoon tea was ok — sandwiches were the high point — yummy, sweets/cakes were too sweet and I have a sweet tooth (hence the 4 stars). I will def be back for more treatments and cocktails.

Could not fault a single thing. Amazing place, fab staff, looks stylish. Husband's 50th birthday and on arrival we we're upgraded to Super Suite with complimentary drinks without even asking. Were in Swinging Vogue Suite, really stunning. Made our stay so special. Thought out our stay staff helpful and courteous. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely come back. Thank you.

An absolutely fantastic hotel, went there yesterday for the night with my husband, Tito, to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Today, we felt like we had been away for a week! Thanks to all the staff there, who made our stay perfect, (rave review to follow, on TripAdvisor tomorrow) Malmaison is ideally located for trains, shops etc. But the effort that has been put into making our stay, a fabulous experience was immense. The room was gorgeous, sumptuous and soooh comfortable. The food, ambience was an incredible delight. This was our 2nd visit, and will be revisited again and again. Wonderful Malmaison, Manchester Piccadilly, huge thank you and well done to all concerned. Top hotel, top staff, top of the league, and England beating Panama was an extra bonus!

Fantastic facilities for conferencing. We were put in the Ember Lounge — with 12 delegates. Very comfortable surroundings and the attentive staff looked after us very well. Would absolutely use again for business.

Brilliant hotel. Stayed in junior suite-lovely room. All staff very welcoming and friendly. Had breakfast which was freshly cooked to order and very tasty.

Mixed reviews. Staff was great both front desk and in the restaurant! But the rooms are tired and need a face lift. Carpet was dirty and old. The bathroom ceiling had gross on it. Service really is great and they bring you fresh milk for tea in the mid morning. Just needs a bit of a face lift cosmetically.

Lovely room, comfy beds. Large TV compared to other hotels. Disabled accessible entrance. Lifts available. Lovely restaurant downstairs which serves breakfast and dinner. Also has a spa within the hotel.

Just can't beat the Malmaison — often meet colleagues here in order to do a couple of hours of brainstorming over the laptops and lattes. Staff really friendly — never push you along to order stuff you don't need, but have the canny trick of being so charming that you don't mind spending more. Have spent a couple of nights here on the work's do and the rooms are gorgeous — luxurious with fab room service. You honestly could not ask for better if you want to be right 'into' the city centre and slap-bang next to train station. Malmaison every time!

Having stayed in a few different Malmaison's I can say the standards here are what I have come to expect from their hotels. The hotels are all tastefully themed around what the building they are in used to be. This was no different. Great decor around the hotel to compliment its style. The room we stayed in was a good size with a very comfy bed. The food in the restaurant was spot on and as for the cocktails they were amazing. The staff are always friendly and helpful should you ask anything. Ideally located near the train station too.

Place 1 kilometre from the center in 10 minutes you arrive very comfortable place.

My husband and I stayed over as it was my birthday. We stayed in one of the Manchester Suites and it was gorgeous. We then went to the bar before dinner and there was an acoustic set which was lovely but also the bar staff couldn't have been better. The evening meal was lovely and again the staff warm and attentive. My husband and I felt that our whole experience had been wonderful. We will certainly be staying again.

A good meeting place this, close to Piccadilly Station and the city centre, and a nice introduction to Manchester. A pleasantly bustling venue, it has a large selection of drinks, friendly staff, and live musical entertainment. Table service is a plus, as are the jars of nibbles they bring round! Worth a look if around that side of town, and I'm assured the cocktails are decent too.

Outstanding hotel, situated tight at the centre of Manchester. There were various shops nearby with a Sainsburys just across the road. The staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel was clean and well furnished. We really enjoyed out stay.

We came here for our work Christmas do. It was a good venue for a Christmas meal, solid if slightly unspectacular. The function room was pleasant and spacious enough for a large group like ours, the food was served very efficiently and was tasty. I was also happy at the variety of the options we had. The staff were excellent, polite and very efficient. I would recommend this venue for Christmas events.

Great location for a city hotel, a few hundred metres from Piccadilly Station and within walking distance of the Northern Quarter. One of the better hotels in Manchester, it also comes at a cost.

I stayed for one night in a Deluxe King Size room and was extremely pleased with the quality of the room. The reception staff were extremely kind and attentive and ordered me a taxi with little fuss. They also have a decent bar and the food is good.

Great hotel, central to the city. Good bedrooms, quiet, bathroom very clean and well stocked with excellent products. Nicely stocked fridge and snacks. Very friendly helpful staff on arrival. Someone had used our room number to snag a free lunch but reception quickly and calmly sorted it. Will definitely use this hotel again. New decor nice and lighter, less oppressive purple everywhere.

Lovely place nice wine and the service was brilliant, But very Dissapointed with the food! Parfait to start was nice but not enough bread with it, crab and scallop risotto for main scallops were nice but only a small amount no sign of any crab and the rice wasn't cooked! Not even El dente it was hard! Was given a sorbet to make up for it.

Conveniently located right near the station, the Mal Maison in Manchester is much like its other chain siblings: stark, urbane, and cool in a shouty capitals kind of way. My room was typically high contrast and comfortable with a walk in shower that could have doubled as a kill room with eerily dim lighting to match. Speaking of which, the restaurant downstairs specialises in meat. I personally opted only for starters and wine but everything was very good quality, freshly prepared, and service was good.

Love this hotel, we booked the bed and bubbles offer, which included nights stay bubbles on arrival and continental breakfast in the morning. Cocktails were amazing, wonderful group of approachable and friendly bar staff. Hotel room was as we expected — comfortable boutique room. There was a lot on offer for breakfast which was nice — Croissants were kept hot too. welcomed by Katy (I think) who was helpful and answered all questions we had. Was a brilliant stay.

I've stayed + eaten many times at Malmaison Manchester. It's a nice boutique hotel with comfy beds, great water pressure and a small gym. Some of the staff can be a little stuffy, but overall the service is good and the food reasonable value. I particularly liked the Corner Suites. The Super Suites were not worth the extra money, and could do with a refurbish. Prices are usually better via a third party website.

The comfiest bed I have ever laid in — if I could have stayed here longer I would have. Lovely smelling toiletries and great interiors.

Ended up staying here after a problem with the booking in another hotel, and I was actually really impressed by it. I do a lot of travel and stay in a lot of hotels, and I found the service in this place really good. They were very accommodating, giving me the last room available and a bit of a discount. The room itself was pleasant: Comfy bed, plenty of room and very clean — the only comment was the previous people left the temperature at 28 so was rather hot when I got in! The breakfast was also tasty, and the checkout/in process nice and smooth. Would stay again, especially given its location.

A chic and cosmopolitan restaurant with fantastic white wine selections. Their signature dishes includes crepes loaded with spinach, mushroom and ricotta, Chicago-style rib steak with sweet onions, or a crispy duck salad. Overly priced for what it’s worth though.

I've been for food here quite a few times particularly when I first moved to Manchester and Mum and Dad used to want to go somewhere they knew. The decor is plush but the food leaves a lot to be desired — it's just basic. And they do this thing where they have big plates but small portions. Burgers are good though.

The building isn't particularly attractive from the entrance, but you don't care when you are inside! The rooms are sleek but cosy and comfortable. And the restaurant food is really very good if you can't be bothered to go outside.

I was here all day for a conference. This is a beautiful and stylish hotel. I spent the day in Mal 4, a training room with a break out area attached. The staff were brilliant all day with providing decent coffee / biscuits / fresh apple juice / sparkling water. At lunch I got a decent veggie selection of sandwiches / chips and salads. Very comfortable conference room and I was able to leave my luggage in a locked room for the day. I wish I had stayed here last night, only didn't as it wasn't on my works list of partnered hotels. I would come back here.
