Customer experience was terrible on arrival. With tier restrictions moving from tier 2 to 3, we were told we could no longer stay unless we had proof it was for a work or medical trip. Feeling on the defensive straight away we explained no one had passed that information on and found it strange that the hotel could get in touch with us to confirm payment in full ahead of our stay (or the booking would be cancelled) but not pass this info on. Receptionist said it wasn’t their responsibility but Expedia’s (who we originally booked through). From there the trip turned into a work trip with a very anxious wife almost in tears on arrival. Within an hour of arrival, London changed to tier 4, we changed our flights to fly out the next day, and enquired on the possibility of refunding the remainder of our booking (an additional 3 nights). Again, receptionist said we had to go through Expedia even through we paid via hotel portal. Overall, pretty bad customer experience to start with. Facilities and room are amazing but with such a bad start, it really did ruin our stay from there. From there our sleep was not great. The room lights up like a Christmas tree at night. Curtains are no good in stopping outdoor building lights, alongside plenty of in room LED lights from fire alarms. Room is a toasty 30 degrees on entry, making it hard to find a comfortable temperature to live in from there. On adjusting back to 22, you feel like you’re back in Antartica.
Reccomend it highly, very clean and comfortable and in a great area.
