Great hotel in the city centre: you are close to the major tourist attractions. The staff is courteous and discreet. The carpet is quite clean and the rooms fragrant. I requested extra towels and in just under 5 minutes they brought them (then I found out they were already in the room). The buffet is quite rich, both salty and sweet, although it doesn't offer a very varied choice. Free Wifi without password. In the room the beds are comfortable (soft), there are TVs, safes, minibars (water only), an espresso machine. Ultimately great for a sightseeing visit to London.

Fridge in room with free water Amazing breakfast but don't eat in restaurant or bar reasonable price but poor quality… go instead to Black and Blue restaurant near Borough Market 5 min walk through back entrance of hotel. Also go to 11am choral Sunday service at Southwark Cathedral ⛪ it was AMAZING and you MUST hear Andrew Nunn preach… also other services in the week. Cathedral stunning inside with cafe with outside seating too in lovely surroundings. Amazing.

I had a prolonged stay at the hotel with work over several months. Good room service menu. Nice rooms. Generous size. There is a bar downstairs and restaurant. Well located for the city and Tower of London. Quite a walk if you are a tourist and want to visit the west end. Tube station nearby. Local M and S nearby. Highly recommend.

Very well maintained hotel. Friendly staff.

The staff are friendly. I tried to check in early at 8am. The receptionist got me a room at about 9.30am maybe because it was a weekend. That was nice. My other colleagues who checked in early previously were not as lucky. The staff try to help wherever they can, including the cafe for breakfast. This hotel requires 10 minutes walk from London Bridge tube station.

Very good hotel clean room no noise outside pleasant welcome nothing to reproach apart the second bed of the room 4 people who is a can fro.

Buffet of breakfast table miserable.
Waited for four days each day on breakfast table up to half an hour. Bread was every day all and you would have to wait half an hour for it to be served. For supposedly 500 guests, two cucumbers were cut. The employees responded to the complaints with the statement: There are 500 guests there, more we can not.

Stayed over for the marathon with the family, the rooms were very comfortable and ours had a great view as below. The staff were great with a few strange requests to help us prep for the marathon. Our breakfast was also great and the kids loved the pancake machine! Would recommend as a great hotel in a good location.

Good location close to the London bridge, friendly staff and for some French speaking. Varied breakfast. The family room is equipped with a kettle with tea and coffee in sachets. Samples of shower gel and shampoo are also available. The small flat C is the breakfast to take away when you leave before 6.30 am, hot drinks with pastries would have been better compared to apples and pears and yoghurt.

Ideally located in the Southwark District 5 min walk from Borough market, 15 min from shard, 20 min walk to St Paul, 10 min to the modern Tate Gallery. If you come from Stansted and arrive at Liverpool Street, the 344 bus line will take you there in only 20 minutes.

Well-located family Hotel in London near the metro and bus stops. Quiet area with parking. Breakfast very good and room very well equipped in design and usability.

Fantastic staff! Had a friendly welcome after a long day of travelling with two small children. Kids were given some little toys which they were thrilled with. The room itself was basic, modern and clean. Water provided in the fridge which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was delicious, great choice of food and staff couldn't help enough. Perfect base for getting out to explore the city and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again!

Hotel is in a good location and has excellent car parking facilities. The rooms were not family friendly, no lock (I would expect a child friendly lock to be present) on the bathroom door and the shower being positioned right next to the bed wasnt great as 'privacy glass' was very 'iffy'! Our room wasn't serviced on the first day of our stay so we ended up in the bar one evening with tired children although it was sorted quickly when we called housekeeping. The TV in our room didn't work the whole time we were there although I guess this wasn't a bad thing. Towels were delivered swiftly once housekeeping were called on the first morning. Had better stays in London. Wasn't going to write a review but the person when we checked out asked about our stay so I mentioned the above and all he could say was the bathrooms don't have locks as they are family friendly. He missed addressing all the other points!

Their afternoon tea is great, I like it better than the afternoon tea served by the hotels by Hyde park. There was nobody in the dining area when my husband and I came, but their service and food/teas are impeccable.

We find the hotel great. Great location. The London Bridge subway station is a 10 minute walk away. On the way there is Borough market. A great grocery store with Super Streetfood. Everything you want. Bus stop is also in the immediate vicinity.
Staff at the hotel very friendly. Everything clean. Breakfast is good.
We have four rooms with a queen size bed and a sofa bed. For a city break absolutely fine.

Meu Bueno Hotel, fantastic breakfast, personal service Note 10! Sure the next time I am in London I will not hesitate to have my stay at the Novotel London City South.

Great choice for London. Convenient as a location. A little pricey. But it's worth it. Very spacious rooms. Clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff. Super Breakfast. Small but equipped fitness area. I didn't have dinner.

This Novotel has a very convenient location, near London bridge and Borough market. Otherwise, it's a Novotel, you know what you get. It's still in very good conditions and an ideal choice for a city trip.

Lovely hotel with great family room and facilities. Very good value for money with a fantastic view of the shard. Car park at the rear too so made travelling here easy.

Compared to the location it's fine.
On the other hand there are several things that make me say that it is not a nice hotel overall. Because let's not forget that we go to sleep!
We are in March, it is 10 degrees outside agree, but sleeping with a heat of 25/26 degrees without being able to adjust the air conditioning is abnormal and unpleasant. Open the window? Too much noise…
Also the mattress of our bed is rigid. And my daughter sleeps on a child bed whose width is not even standard of 70cm.
I stay at 3 stars by encouragement…

The location is great. In 3-4 minutes on foot in London Bridge station and from there, there are trains in all directions.

It's a good place. Administrative management is very good too. Very well located in the financial center of London.

I was only here for work and didn't stay overnight. However the service I did receive when I arrived was very good, the place itself was very nice, spacious and clean. The food we had during the day and the lunch provided was excellent. I would consider staying here if I got the chance.

Nice place with modern rooms. Good morning buffet and friendly staff. Not so close to the center but reachable by metro. Shower was leaking and they did not solve the problem in one week.

The hotel is superb, the staff are adorable, the room is good (that said there was a pretty transparent shower in the parents room which can be annoying) and for meals I only went there in the morning and compared to other Novotel me breakfast remains to be desired.

This hotel is great for business and pleasure. Well positioned for tube (London Bridge) and sites such as The Tate Modern. The rtoms are well appointed and the staff are great. The restaurant and room service is what loses the final star for me. The choice is limited and uninspiring. But breakfast is fab and as a business user it is always my first choice.

It is very well placed, a couple of steps from Borough Market, the hotel and the very nice welcome, the standard room very good for a couple with 2 children.

There was a very warm welcome. Our room was wonderfully clean and the bathroom looked almost new. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was good but not all that hot and a bit greasy but I would still visit again.

Four days at this property and everything was perfect. Friendly staff, helpful, reserved, impeccable in every point of view. Recommended it without any doubt.

The room was really nice. A really decent size, and clean to the highest standard. We ordered room service breakfast on the first morning and it was the worst breakfast we have EVER had! Truly disgusting. The meat looked like a carcass. The eggs looked so strange, inedible. My partners breakfast was the vegetarian option. She did not get away lightly! The vege sausages looked like they were cooked last week and re heated 5 times in between. Mushrooms from a can were actually the nicest thing on the plate.

Nice modern room. The staff were excellent, very polite from bar staff, reception and housekeeping. All very informative and helpful. The location of this hotel was excellent for the major attractions and tube stations. In a room with lots of modern technology I was surprised not to find a soft close toilet seat, given everything else seemed well thought out.

I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. The main purpose of my travel was to attend some lectures at Warwick Business School (at the Shard) which is why the Novotel South was a great location to stay. Is also very close to some underground stations which make it easier to move through London from there. Regarding the breakfast, it had a good selection of juices, fruits, cereals and hams, but I would have like to have the option of boiled eggs and non-lactose milk.

The hotel had a good location, the executive room was adequate in size, the extra bed was more comfortable than in other Novotel, but the main one was perhaps a bit too soft. The breakfast was too repetitive and not very varied. The staff was very friendly on a whole. In summary, if I go back to London would consider this same option.

We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights during our short trip to London. Room always in order and spacious bathroom. Very rich and hearty breakfast buffet. Definitely recommended.

Excellent sized suite room. Very comfortable and spacious. Room was quiet despite being next to a main road. Check in was simple and efficient. Breakfast buffet had a great range of food and drink. Would definitely stay here again.

We were very satisfied. Our first contact was with a lovely gentleman (do not have his name) who was happy and polite and answered all our questions despite being very busy. We arrived after almost 30 hours of travelling and although no rooms were available for an early check in, he provided plenty of options for us to freshen up. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was a problem. This included front office staff who helped with printing of train tickets through to dining room staff who looked after us for breakfast. Overall, a great experience.

I booked at the last minute, due to feeling unwell at work. It was very expensive — but this was understandable when most London hotels were full. The staff at reception could not have been more helpful and friendly. My room was great — clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and with great views. Sadly, illness meant I did not use the hotel's facilities — but I could see they were well above average. I thought breakfast was adequate, but poor value for money. Checkout quick and efficient and a taxi was secured for me with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency.

First time in London, for the family. Friendly Hotel with helpful staff and patient for our imperfect English. Great breakfast, bar service and excellent reception. The availability, kindness and professionalism emerged above all in the moment of discomfort and great fear generated by the terrorist attack. We would like to return, in quieter moments, that I hope there will be.
I also appreciated your immediate willingness to become "HQ" for journalists, Tv and press in support of their work.

The reception at check in, made by staff who spoke our language, was very friendly.
Even though we did not have any special needs, our request for help was listened to carefully and answered in a short time.
The room is cozy, clean and equipped with useful accessories (in particular have been graditissimi both the Nespresso coffee machine and the sound link Bose to listen to music) even if the accommodation was a little ' tight for a family of 4 people.
A single note is for the dust that should be removed even on the highest parts of the furniture (doors, doors, headboard of the bed).
The hotel's location is very close to London Bridge Metro station, the train station and the beautiful Borough market.
Quiet and lively area.
I will come back for the next stay in London.

I've stayed here a couple of times on business, and it's a nice, quiet location with good amenities. The rooms are comfortable, and I always get a kick out of the electronically activated privacy screen in the bathroom.

The hotel is in a good area that allows you to go to most of the sites, or within walking distance or a few bus stops. The rooms are in good condition and are quite good. The hotel staff is nice.

Got upgraded to a premium executive room. Very comfy if a little small, but space is at a premium in London after all.

The Hotels´ biggest advantage is the central location downtown London. As a familiy we were with four people in one room — which was too small. My recommendation for this hotel with 4 people: Better two double. Rooms were clean and renovated, the staff was polite and breakfast was fresh and rich. The minus point (s) : The hotel hasn´t any athmosphere…

Went to novotel for a couple of drinks with work colleagues. Overly sarcastic bar staff but generally good service.

The staff were very friendly, breakfast very good, there is a car park, location of the hotel was great, located in Riverside, near boluo market hotel rooms with views over the city. In 2003 when we were married, I lived here, I was like, so in 2015 we and our 4 kids back here to celebrate your wedding anniversary! We had two rooms, there is a room by 50 percent, children's breakfast is free of charge. Staff was nice, bed was comfortable, room has mini-bar and new …

Nice hotel. Very clean. Everything to a good standard. Staff all very keen to help in any way they can. Gym and pool on site. Nicely fitted rooms, comfy bed and niche bathroom design. Location is good, 10 mins from London Bridge with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and easy enough to explore.

The rooms are perfect, very well decorated, with various connections to the TV and speakers. It is to emphasize a detail that I found curious, the room and the bathroom are separated by glass, giving a button becomes opaque. For breakfast no problem, being the buffet is very extensive and of good quality. The service is also excellent, very attentive, and several people from the staff speak English (as a medium London).

As a Marriott Gold Elite I stayed here due to lack of availability and the general good reputation of the Novotel Chain. The rooms are small and there is no proper drainage in the sink and shower. The breakfast buffet at 17 pounds is totally not worthwhile. The service is good and staff can only work with what they are given. But exorbitant rates and underwhelming facilities are a terrible combination. The restrooms in the lobby constantly smell of sewage.

Rooms are very small. The mini fridge kept things warm, not cold. They provide shower gel but no wash rags. The gym holds about 4 people comfortably. The shower door opened the wrong way. You had to step out and around the shower door to get to your towel — completely soaking the floor,. The view is horrible. But, I think the worse part was the fact that they have some kind of weird exhaust system, so the entire place smells like septic. My room smelled awful. It was like sitting in a septic tank. When someone used the bathroom above us or below us our toilet would make gurgling sounds. Absolutely disgusting! Oh and the toilet is on one side of the room and the sink to wash your hands is on the other side of the room. The only reason for 2 stars is because the customer service is excellent. However, that won't make me spend my money here again.

Best place we've stayed at in London so far but to be fair we have experienced some terrible hotels in the past, staff are polite and eager to please. The room was modern with a great shower/bathroom and clean. Will use again.

It felt like it was paradise.

Location is excellent and room was nicer than I expected. Had a great stay. Stayed in an executive suite room 324. Very modern decor and great layout. Staff was kind.

We have used this hotel on a number of occasions including Paralympics, Diamond Jubilee and Royal Wedding. The location is perfect for viewing the attractions along the Thames, Tower Bridge and The Tower of London are a short walk away. The Globe just across the road which is perfect for my Shakespear mad kids. The hotel staff are always eager to please and nothing is too much trouble. When I was taken ill during the Jubilee Weekend the restaurant staff were amazing making us a special breakfast even though the restaurant had been closed some time. I couldn't have managed without their assistance and our weekend was rescued. We shall continue to opt for this hotel in preference when visiting London.

A good hotel for a few days holiday. In London. The location near the River Thames and the Milleniumbridge is outstanding. London Eye or Tower Bridge are easily accessible on foot.
