Wonderful break at the St James’s Hotel…. John, Maisie, Duarte and all the staff at the hotel were just outstanding. Amazing bar, food, art work, decor and excellent location in the City.

Lovely 3 night stay. Great staff and service and the perfect location for exploiting London on foot. No public transport required. Easy access to green park and Piccadilly. Lovely breakfast — almost too much for one! I will be back. Thanks to John Hennessy and the team.

We stayed at St. James Hotel & Club in June 2017 for a week. It was fantastic! Clean, friendly, heated bathroom floors, rain shower, heated towel rack, luxury soaps, mattress, pillows & comforter were extraordinary. Bonus: free calls to Ireland & USA. The location is perfect, too. Easy, short walk to both Piccadilly & Green Park tubes. Staff is always ready to run out for a taxi as well. Planning to return in April 2019.

Great hotel! Clean rooms, nice design, free fast Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, great service. Although location is not that good. Cant easily be seen from the streets. 9/10

It is a small hotel tucked away near St. James Park. We only stopped for an aperitif at the bar. Cozy Bar with helpful staff cocktails well made. To try.

The room is clean, the staff are friendly, the hotel is very unique: old with personality.

Be careful do NOT book the room with breakfast because the breakfast is nothing and it charges you £25. The worse is that they try to charge me £60, yes £60, for breakfast service fee without explanations. Terrible experience.

Wonderful Afternoon Tea experience at Seven Park Place by William Drabble. The service was excellent from the moment you approach the doors to the time you leave. The tea was perfect and the sandwiches and pastries were divine. The champagne was delicious, but ridiculously overpriced (£52 per glass, ouch). The atmosphere was fantastic, from the China to the pink roses adorning the tables and bar. The music was perfectly chosen and offered an incredibly peaceful feeling. The menus being in authentic old encyclopedias was a wonderful and unique touch. Slightly pricey, but well worth it, in my opinion. Cheers.

One of the nicest hotels in London, conveniently located in St James's, close to green park tube station, and walking distance to Piccadilly, Hyde park and Berkeley square. Superlative food and excellent wine list, the restaurant is small and cosy, with a selective amount of customers and the private room, although doesn't have windows, is conveniently located in a library, making it a lovely feature room to enjoy a business meeting and lunch/dinner. The lounge is small and cosy. Overall the feeling is that of a boutique B&B but with a 5 star hotel environment.

I attended an club dinner event at the hotel and the service and hospitality was outstanding. A warm welcome as I entered the hotel and the staff were polite and friendly throughout the evening. I would definitely stay over at the hotel as there is a lot to do around the area and very close to tube.

Lovely space! Discrete but attentive staff. They gave us an extra room to relax and network afterwards with absolutely no fuss. Highly recommended as meeting venue.

The St James's Hotel and Club is a hotel at 7-8, Park Place, St. James's, London SW1A 1LP. The hotel is part of the Lahore based Nishat Group which is owned by Pakistani Mian Mohammad Mansha.

We only went for afternoon tea. It is not a place suited to afternoon tea. The lounge was tiny with two sets of small tables and chairs at the window. We asked to be moved as we were almost sitting with the people in the next table. There was no room for a private conversation. We moved to the long seats at the window. The seat was hard and uncomfortable. The waitress attending us was lovely. The staff on the doors were accommodating. They should train the woman behind the bar with her bad attitude. As regular afternoon tea people we were disappointed with the actual. The scones were too dark and hard, the sandwiches were smaller than the usual and scarce and the tea wasn't that great. Thankfully the kind waitress noted our disappointment and gave us the best service we could wish for. The cakes were made mostly with chocolate. Not good if you are not allowed too much chocolate. I found the cakes kind of thrown together. Afternoon tea fans should avoid. This place is not suited to cater for afternoon tea.

Very pretty accommodation. Rooms are small but nicely kept. Only complaint is that king beds are actually two double beds attached. This leaves an annoying gap in the middle. Bathroom is nice, but the water temperature is fickle. Fixtures are lovely. Only issue was the rain shower head was coming loose. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Price is high but the location is amazing. Beautiful building with lovely architecture. A lovely place you stay when visiting London.

Old-style English hotel in a very quiet place in the heart of London, close to Piccadilly street and Buckingham palace. From here you can easily reach any sightseeing on foot. Continental breakfast is simply fantastic! You can choose from a wide variety of products (smoked salmon, prosciutto, Brie, croissants, bakery, yogurt, home-made jams, juices, tea, coffee, scrambled eggs, muesli…).

The staff was really great and the food was tasty. It is very quiet because it is at the end of dead end street. The rooms are on the small side and the AC did not work. The hotel could use a renovation, but you cant beat the location. If the AC had worked I would have rated it 4 stars.

Afternoon tea with a games themed twist, which our 11 year old daughter loved. Food was lovely, but service a little slow — then again, we were rather late, so we had missed the official closing time. Mls.

We've had lunch at the restaurant and the meal was delicious though very pricey. Servis was very attentative and courteous.

It was a nice hotel, excellent location, nice staff. The room was standard modern and I quite enjoyed the outdoor walk to get to the room.

My family and I had an amazing time in St James's Hotel. The kids adore the pools here and the jacuzzi and the area is always very clean and safe enough for them. I booked a facial and had a mud bath and it was great. The service is top level. My husband checked the sauna and was very pleased so the whole family had a good time.

Superb service, good food (we only got to try the bistro), and many thoughtful little details made the stay a very nice experience.

Doesn't get any better in London.
Ambiance, food and service make the visit to London even more beautiful.

Just went to the bar for cocktails. We were there from around 9ish on a Wednesday evening and it was almost empty. Very encouraginly the first cocktail on their list was a Negroni, and they use Antica Formula in it. This is widely regarded as the best vermouth for a Negroni (and I agree with this opinion), and it's always a good sign of a cocktail bar that really takes their cocktails seriously.

Ideal for discovering the city.

The sauce with our beef was extremely over-reduced to the point it was like marmite. My risotto starter was beautiful, though, and extremely rich. Don't come here if you have a delicate tummy.

A fabulous hotel in the heart of London, but away from the hustle and bustle… Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly, Mayfair, theatres, restaurants are all within walking distance. The service was impeccable, and the language was never a problem… there is Italian staff! Try the Seven Park Place restaurant inside the hotel (the lamb is really special). I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel conveniently located in Mayfair just minutes from the chic shops and restaurants, 10 ' from Piccadilly Circus, St James Park, Trafalgar Square, 15 ' from Regent Street, Buckingham Palace, etc.
A perfect service in a very successful setting. Deco of certain taste with a special price to the bathroom!
Only downside, in my room, yet very well placed on the 6th floor with a small terrace, there was no double door and so the sound insulation was very inadequate.
An address to recommend.
