Lovely bar, wonderful helpful staff. Shame the door Porter was
So unhelpful when we exited the hotel and requested a taxi.
Luckily after a 10 minute walk we managed to flag down a lovely London Cabi. Well done Langdon your hotel and all staff inside the hotel are very professional and lovely. Shame that our experience was spoilt by one individual who couldn’t have been more unhelpful and dismissive.

When inside the hotel it’s beautiful, the staff are so friendly and attentive, the bar was incredible, fantastic drinks. However when we left the hotel and asked the porter about getting a taxi we were dismissed and told there isn’t any and we would have to walk further up the road it was a good 10 minutes before we came across any taxi’s so what was an enjoyable experience was unfortunately left on a sour note.

Meal for two to celebrate my birthday — thanks to my gorgeous daughter. The building was historic, inside blew me away — so so beautiful. Meal was delicious and the waiters including the manager on duty were very supportive and understanding — service was exceptionally good. I even got a surprised mini birthday sweet at the end of my meal. They made me feel very special. I definitely recommend to my friends and I am booking afternoon tea soon. Well worth it. Keep the good work up.

Having won a prize of afternoon tea at the Langham Hotel curtesy of " Truly Experiences" via the TV show Tipping Point, my daughter and I had an excellent afternoon tea experience.
The ambience of the Wedgwood room was greatly enhanced by the pianist who played a varied and relaxing selection of tunes.
The staff were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
The main event of course was the food, dainty sandwiches with different types of bread used for each tasty …filling (these could be replenished as often as desired) To follow were a delightful array of pastries each delicious
and a credit to the chef. Just when we thought it was complete warm scones accompanied by clotted cream and home made strawberry jam followed!
A variety of teas were available to try also. As it was my daughters birthday our waiter brought out a plate with the words "Happy Birthday" inscribed in chocolate on it, completed with a gorgeous chocolate mousse rose and lighted candle. Two glasses of champagne finished it all off.
A memorable visit and one I would recommend.

Absolutely stunning property. Staff on the whole extremely friendly and service minded. My absolute favourite above the top grand tiers in London! Even if not visiting with the big spend in mind, just popping in for a tea in the lounge for example, staff showcase the full five-star-deluxe treatment. A truly professional hotel that in my repeat custom truly master the art of bespoke, discerning service. Please keep the human touch of refined luxury going, keep nourishing teams that share their love for hospitality, keep the building in tip-top shape (and a top tip if staying: choose a suite. They are wonderful) and The Langham will continue to shine, and outshine the competition, for years to come. Highly recommended! Ki.

We loved our two nights here! Central, clean and beautiful, wonderful rooms and service. Breakfast at the a la Carter restaurant was great. Classy bit pretentious. Yes, luxury, all worth it. The only place in the world where the doorman knew about Graham Greene in depth.

Lovely place, reasonable complimentary snack with bar drinks. Careful when they ask if you want water as well as your ordered drinks. In being asked if I want water, I assumed it was complimentary liking other hotels, so replied still. On my bill was charged for the bottle. When I explain this, they took it off the bill.

Absolutely stunning restaurant and food. The presentation of the food is immaculate. I went for lunch and someone else paid, but lunch is quite reasonable I think. The decor is also very well done. Great service. Will definitely go back.

Right from the outset of my surprise 60th birthday experience nothing will top this day.
I arrived for a midday afternoon tea alone as this was a gift from my daughter.
Max settled me in to my table and explained the details of my afternoon tea.
Little did I know that the biggest surprise of my life was about to walk through your doors.
I was looking down at my table loving the detail of my table setting when to my jaw dropping amazement my 3 year old grandson appeared with a beautiful pink rose.
"Fancy meeting you here Granny "
Well. From there on I lost it… crying and laughing wondering. Asking questions.
My daughter and her husband were on holidays and sneakily planned this surprise.
We moved to a larger table and not 5 minutes later I get a tap on the shoulder and again my jaw dropped and the tears flowed again.
My second daughter had flown from Australia for a short holiday.
We move a second time to a bigger table and the champagne flowed along with beautiful delicacies, laughter and of course more tears.
My Grandson was privy to be taken back of house to thank the chef as he was well looked after.
All in all a day I will never forget.
This experience at your beautiful venue will live on in my memory forever.

We went here because we were looking for a fancy place to enjoy high tea while visiting London, and this did not disappoint. The service was lovely and the food and tea was incredible. So beautiful, in fact, that I almost didn't want to eat the food because it was so pretty! The venue was beautiful and there was live music (piano). It was expensive — the most expensive and fanciest meal I've ever had or will have in my life — but it's what we were looking for, and it was definitely worth the experience. I am began, but after requesting a vegan menu while booking, the chef was able to create a beautiful selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts that were no less grand than the non-vegans. I am very impressed with The Langham and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for high tea in London!

The service and standards of the afternoon tea in the Palm Court is worth so much more than just 5 stars. From the moment we stepped through the door till we left we were made to feel special, honoured and were treated fabulously.
The food was exceptional, plenty and delicious. The service, and especially from our waiter Matthew, was knowledable, enthusiastic, friendly and unobtrusive.
All in all a great experience and one I'd recommend for anyone who'd wish to treat themselves or a loved one to something very special.

A beautiful quiet place in central London.

My wife and I enjoyed five nights whilst visiting family. The location at the intersection of Mayfair, Marylebone and Soho is as good as it gets to access the city. The hotel is near the north end of Regent St, quiet, but at the feet of all the shopping, pubs and restaurants just blocks away. The doormen and staff are lovely. The rooms are cozy and the bed extremely comfortable. In regards to dining, the breakfast menu is delicious and the room whether in the morning or for high tea is delightful. You get what you pay for here and then some. Thank you, Langham, London.

The children’s afternoon was brilliant. The staff were so attentive to my 2 year old grandaughter. She loved the jigsaw shaped sandwiches. She wore the chefs hat for making the DIY pastries and adores her Hamleys teddy bear! Thanks to all the staff for making this such a fun experience — wonderful memories!

Beautiful and warm place, very and well dressed staff, catering for more or less all individual from vegetarian to gluten free. The place itself was nice, tidy and clean. I would recommend it to those who like this kind of my place. It really wasn't for me as I like big portion of food and that was not what was served but its still a nice place.

We began with a cocktail in the bar. Staff were super friendly. Try the whiskey cocktail. We then had afternoon tea with the Wedgwood settings. Staff were excellent and the food was really tasty. We ordered gluten free scones but as they are hard to get right, they were rather crumby. The tea options are vast so step out and try something different.

Very expensive…

Dashing and totally at the top of the list for hotel accommodation in London. L stayed here for a few days. Upon entry you are met with lovely, friendly (not too nosey) staff. I swear they never made me feel like I was checking in or like I was incapable of finding the check in desk… or maybe they just treat you as a returning guest who knows the 5 star place but that was great. If you get to stay here… the rooms are great and some don't have a great view but you will appreciate that it's bang in the centre of London. Closest Tube station is Oxford Circus and the Soho district is just a stone throw away with Oxford Street Shoppers and Piccadilly Square not too far away. There are a few good places to eat on the doorstep of the hotel in Regent Street. So if you wish to escape the hotel catering which is brilliant but could be pricey for some, stroll around and you'll find ample places. Now and then you might get a glimpse of the odd celebrity.

Fantastic place. Great food. The staff were excellent and so helpful. Nothing was a bother. Perfect facilities and lovely romantic ambience. Great pianist too.

Beautiful place. Attentive and friendly staff, but not over the top. Had a cocktail at the Palm court room, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Enjoyed the spa, the swimming pool is on the small side — perfect for one, two will be company, three will be a crowd. The location is perfect, not on a busy road, has a lovely good night sleep in the comfortable bed. Cleanliness was faultless, the room service brought delicious pastries for breakfast. Be sure to buy the signature scent from the lovely staff at the reception, it makes a nice souvenir or a gift.

Amazing afternoon tea! Exquisite cakes and a stunning ambience. Come with an appetite to make the most of the bottomless tea (there are so many varieties to choose from, but don't worry your 'Tea Sommelier' is on hand to help) and unlimited sandwiches and scones which are so delicious — you won't be able to resist and the diet will be truly out of the window. The best bit is a lack of haughtiness common to other posh establishments. Such as making sure you leave with a lovely little takeaway box of "leftovers" which are really just extras they want you to have! A wonderful treat.

Gorgeous hotel steeped in history. Attended a University of Toronto alumni event held in the lavish grand ballroom. We had wine and canapés before hand and everything brought out from the kitchen and bar was of high quality and delicious. Staff are lovely, helpful, and make you feel welcomed. They are a credit to the hotel.

The Langham is fine dining at its best. Amazing location and exceptional service provided throughout make this an experience as much as a meal out. The selection of wines is long and impressive and the selection of food is exquisite. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing, which really shows how wine is supposed to match food. Amazing experience that comes at a price but well worth it if you enjoy great food and wine.

Fabulous we have dinner wonderfully well.

Drink in The Wigmore regularly and really enjoy it. Their beer range is good as is their wine list. Tried some of the food and it was great. We had a range of English tapas style dishes and all were delicious.

Great cocktail bar with a great atmosphere. The team was friendly, and the drinks spot on. The waiters helped us choosing our drinks so we did not have to bother too much about reading. The hotel provides all sorts of facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel, making your experience even more special. An absolute must for people who love drinks and are looking for a great night out.

Gorgeous place, great food, staff explained the items quickly and took the menus. Thus we couldn't remind ourselves of what we had. Also we felt rushed to finish within the 2 hour slot, but then were made to wait for our bill for over 10 minutes.

Had afternoon tea here last weekend and it was incredible. The place itself looks lovely, and the food was even better! Also tried the hot chocolate prior to the afternoon tea and it was simply the best hot chocolate I have ever had! Can't wait to go to The Langham again!

Very nice very expensive class but ideally located 2 steps from the beautiful Regents Park and the very shopping Oxford Street. The Langdam is primarily aimed at well-stocked portfolios.

It's a bellezaaaaa. The rooms. Attention. Services. It's petfecto. Place to go back and back. Every detail has been taken into account with fineness and good taste.

Had afternoon tea at the Langham. We we're treated to a fabulous experience. An elegant dining room, attentive service, fabulous tea, sandwiches and desserts (the egg salad watercress was to die for). If you being a child, they get this cute teddy bear. To top it off, the live piano was set the tone.

We had afternoon tea at Palm Court at Langham Hotel. We were quite disappointed with the service there, took us 15' to get staff's attention and then we gave up the second time, even though the place was not that full. The food was quite standard for afternoon tea, but the tea selection was great. The 150 year anniversary tea was interesting, (wouldn't try it again) and the white tea was really good. Having said that, the atmosphere was great with live music, the pianist performed really well and the interior was lovely with fresh flowers.

This place is perfect. From the gorgeous decor to the food to the service to the smell of fresh flowers in the lobby. We stayed for an entire week (7 nights) with two rooms for our family. We arrived tired and preferred to change rooms from the original king deluxe rooms assigned. Elena at the front desk went above and beyond all expectations to accommodate and make sure we were comfortable and sorted out. The entire hotel staff impressed us with acute customer service skills. The food, bar and afternoon tea… all sublime. We will definitely be back and recommend it highly.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea at Palm Court. They were very attentive and also happy to oblige when we requested only cheese sandwiches for our little one. The sandwiches, scones and pastries were divine; the second helping of sandwiches worked a treat. We were there on my birthday and my husband casually and very briefly mentioned this to our server. Later, to our surprise, the server brought out a little birthday cake while the pianist played Happy Birthday. That lovely little surprise and initiative made a special outing even more memorable. Thank you to everyone involved!

The Roux is amazing. Had the 5 course chefs menu with with wine pairing, £125 per person. Worth it! The only thing I didn't love was the pigeon, tasted like liver a bit and they didn't ask how I'd like it done, so it came medium rather than rare. The scallop in butter sauce made my heart melt. The desert, which I don't usually look forward to, was sublime. Our server Antonia was a gem and the staff in general are top notch. Really enjoyed it here yet again!

A typical "grand" old-style central London hotel, though a little more accessible than some others. A strong point is that many helpful staff are available, and the service given to me was consistently excellent. But architectural character is lacking. Still, this hotel offers fine facilities, elegant surroundings, and is inoffensive owing to its bland design.

Palm Court — disappointing. Dined there last night and whilst there were no major issues, it lacked any excitement. The gluten free options where bland — toasted sliced bread, plain rice… etc. Not the exciting meal it should have been.

Best Place to stay in, its close to the hustle but not close enough that's why you can enjoy your time till you reach the shopping areas, rooms are spacious, service is wonderful Very classic interior, lovely.

When you walk through the door of The Langham you feel like your walking back to an era when money was no object in building a hotel for the highest members of society. Marble is used everywhere in the decor giving the historic and grand feeling of being someone special. The room was small but still big enough to make it feel spacious. The bathroom was amazing and not once did you feel they used inferior or substandard fixture and fittings. Location wise, it is a few minutes walk to Oxford Circus station where there's all the shops you'd desire. If you don't might the cost then I would recommend this hotel.

Fantastic Wedgewood Cream Tea, very attentative service, lovely food.

English is such a full of medieval breath of the country, didn't come once to England, to bite the bullet and chose an expensive hotel, although it is really expensive, but really great, the whole hotel decor is full of English features, like buildings, room large, bed very comfortable, the whole room details all can see that used a lot of thoughts. Waiters are also very professional and responsible. In a place like this, really is, let tired body and mind to alleviate it!

Had afternoon tea here, great food, top class service and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, decor and presentation of the food. It's worth revisiting.

Like in Shanghai and Hong Kong the Langham, London feel the modern and elegant, is always here. Stands for more than 150 years of architecture, after renovations, exudes a strong European flavor. Hotel is located in bad judgment, after all, is less familiar to London. But everywhere is walking distance of more than 10 minutes to convenient exception.
Passion for service and hardware is not mentioned, is well worthy of luxury hotel on top of the head. In particular, full service is almost none. Take a corner of the room, after seven looping corridor to reach. Rooms bright and spatial pattern also be gratified, bathroom especially spacious, is also a veteran imperialism personality rushing.
Here restaurants and bars have their own advantages are very good. Rooms at the first night because of the call room tired, the quality of the food is amazing, compared to hotel in Manhattan the same price is also high. The morning of the next day is amazing, every food is just about right. Really amazing experience is required to clear.
Weekends are too short, just hope someone can stay here.

I had visited the Palm Court on 14/8/15 with my son for a special champaign afernoon tea. At first site I noticed that the customers which were already dining at the Palm Court how comfortable and casual they were as if they were their all day. It was a positve atmostphere. We were greated by Alice our tea sommelier and waitress for the afternoon. She could not have been more pleasant and her persoanlity shone through. Nothing was too much trouble. We had Motet champaigne, followed by a platter of sandwiches which were different from the standard over filled ones one would get. These were nice bite sizes. I had the taragon mustard and plum tomato which was a nice pink bread, followed by asparagus and wiltshire ham comte cheese. My son, of course tried them all! The tabel was dressed in lovely crip startched linin — I would like to know how to get mine like that! The crocery was of course the finest of Wedgwood which I really appreciated. It's these fine touches in life that make an occassion worth while! I have been to may Tea afternoons, but the pleasantness of this room and Alice was just lovely. There was also a wide selection of Sepciality Langham Teas whish were so relaxing. Oh and of course how can I non mention the miniture pastry collection. Edible Daisy Teapot Cinnamon shortbread cookie, Hattaway Rose Motif, English Rose and lyche log. And the finale was the lightly roasted pistachio financier.

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

Great place for some live jazz and fresh cocktails. Customer service at Palm Court was superb. We'll definitely be back for another round.

After having afternoon tea at The Ritz, Yvonne and I decided to look up the oldest afternoon tea in London. If we were going to indulge ourselves, we figured we might as well try the oldest traditional afternoon tea there is (which we soon found out was The Langham Hotel). I mean, if they have been doing it for that long (140years), they must be doing something right. Ressed up, albeit with poorly done manicures, duchess or no duchess, the three of us were ready for tea! Finger sandwiches included: Crab and Atlantic shrimps with cucumber and avocado, Burford brow egg mayonnaise with mustard cress, Rose country beef with plum tomato and remoulade sauce, Formans smoked salmon with whipped brie and wild rocket, and Poached cornfed chicken with coronation mayonnaise. These were filling but somehow not the most satisfying. …We ordered seconds anyway. Because afternoon tea just won’t do without scones: next that came out was a warm selection of plain and golden raisin scones from the Palm Court bakery with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Completing our afternoon tea came the much-anticipated tiers of French pastries and specialist mini cakes: Passion Fruit and Mango Dome, Valrhona chocolate tart, Lemon and poppy seed cake, Layer Eton mess push up pop. Pictures were snapped (of course) and the Layer Eton mess push up pop absolutely delighted! Sour, sweet and very sour, it was a zesty combination. Aesthetically, it reminded me of something out of Seussville.

Great location with Rey cushy suits. Service could be better for the price.

Decor and atmosphere very nice. Food and pastries quite good. Service was attentive, even ever-present. Hotel is really nice, five star I'm sure. Afternoon tea only gets four stars because your wallet will be shell-shocked after this.

It's a nice hotel in a good location. That said, for the money spent there were a couple of annoyances. First, the bathtub drain was quite clogged, which left you standing in several inches of soapy water by the end of your shower. Second, the pool and hot tub close way too early on weekends. A swim and sauna after dinner? Forget about it. Closed.

Lovely tea but very muddled service. The staff couldn't quite understand what a vegetarian was, but once my friend had spat out her sandwiches the scones were superb. Food 5/5 Service 3/5.

My favourite afternoon tea! They even let you take a doggy bag home which is very rare! Champagne Charlie also adds to the experience.

We have stayed here a number of times and generally had a great experience. We couldn't get into the Roux for dinner until 10pm although we were booking 3 weeks in advance, this is too late to each so ended up going elsewhere and spending £40 in cab fares. The room was good as usual, couldn't get a late check-out which we were disappointed with to be honest as we didn't then have time to use the pool and other facilities. The wait for the elevator was also disastrous — waited around 10 minutes as obviously everybody's checking out at the same time! Would we stay again — probably look for somewhere else to be honest for our next weekend in London.

Livemusic at the Langham is supherb. The 3 piece band provides great chill out, jazz music in the evenings either during afternoon tea or whilst having a drink in the evenings. Livemusic till 11pm.

Palm Court at The Langham is the best afternoon tee place in London. Elegant interior design implies the status and reputation of hotel.
