The hotel is ok, the location is nice but some of the staff is very disrespectful and rude! I want to stay at this hotel again on my next visit but I don't wish to see them again.
DO NOT STAY HERE! this property refuses to give us a refund even though we are going through a GLOBAL PANDEMIC and cannot travel through the USA. Clearly they value profits over customers needs!
The place was very active and has an array of people staying there. The elevators need to be checked because they are not calibrated to the weights on the wall. They are doing repairs to the main stairs so that’s a good thing. Over all nice place centrally located to good visitor sites. Nice variety of area restaurants to pick from.
A truly awful experience with staff who lack any concept of hospitality.
This room is expensive for what it is. The pictures are nothing like advertised on the website. It’s old and falling apart and the rooms stink. Just been down to request another room & they said because we were not here at 2pm we got last refusal. First come first served basis. Although we paid £250 for a tiny room that looks like a prison cell. The only good thing is the view. Not even double glazed.
Dirty, noisy, tatty.
We really weren’t impressed.
Just stayed for 3 nights. All staff was super friendly, and the service from the frontdesk was the one and only reason we didn’t complain. Leaving was not an option for us. The appartment had clean sheets and towels, but the rest looked like it had NOT been cleaned. Filthy walls, doors and handels with marks from dirty hands. Worn furniture and broken windows. Pealing paint and moisture damage in the bathroom. The floors were battered and filled with gaps. The general conditi…on was way bellow what one would expect from a 3 star hotel. WAY bellow. The website pictures is NOT to be trusted. Only the lobby was like the picture. Location is good, but if you want just a little more than a place to sleep, you should consider another hotel. (One picture allowed only, so this is from the bathroom ceiling. )
Very surly service by Eastern European staff that were very unhelpful. I asked three people for a phone in my room and it never came. I asked where there may be a medical centre and was given the wrong direction which cost a taxi ride.
I read in the Sunday Times that there are over 100 Ukrainian protitutes that live and work in the building. No wonder there was so much late night coming and going. They are no luxury they are barely 3 star. The location was good and rooms clean. Don’t recommend at all. Not for single travelers. You will feel very unwelcome.
Me and my partner stayed here the weekend just gone. It was in a good location to watch Wicked at the Apollo Victoria.
When we arrived we used the underground car park next door. £30 for 24 hours (discounted rate for people staying at Cloisters). On the Sunday morning (just before our 24 hours was up) I then moved my car to one of the roads next to the apartments as it is free parking on a Sunday.
We stayed in the older side where the apartments havent yet been renovated. The reception area is lovely but as you go upstairs it's very out dated and I could smell smoke, weed and stale beer around the corridors. The room had what we needed, it was very worn though, sink tap broke in the bathroom, couldn't get the bath taps to work (shower worked though) and in the living room there was no settee it was two single beds pushed together. Also some of the electrical points didn't work. If I had paid £136 for this room in my area I would have given it 1 star but for this area this price was the best by far and we didn't spend much time in the room. There is a sainsburys local very close by and we had an uber driver pick us up and take us to the theatre which cost us around £6 which is great.
The main problem was the noise. We were in bed for 10pm on saturday (im only 31 but a day of driving and sight seeing had knocked me for 6) and lorries were emptying bins outside. It was really noisy. Then before 7am there were delivery drivers outside shouting.
Great customer service and even better location. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay that is close to literally everything. Thumbs up for sure.
I had a great four night stay here. Good location, close to South Kensington Tube station, and interesting location. The staff were helpful and friendly and everything I needed was in the room including cooking facilities and washing machine. Definitely stay here next time.
It's like a student dormitory. Very small room, but there is everything you need. Bathroom. Bath, shower, sink, toilet bowl. It's a kitchen. Electric stove, microwave, sink, necessary utensils. You can warm up and cook food. Table. Two chairs. Bed. Cleaning every day. The hotel's convenient location. Near the subway, center, grocery store. But. There is a great BUT. When booking, check the number of beds. Not a large wider and longer bed they have this 2local accommodation. They do not have the concept of separate beds. At three local accommodations they have it a half bed and a small sofa. That not everyone will get on.
The room had everything we needed and it was in a good area of London. It was my first time in London and the person who checked me in was super friendly and recommended few places for me to visit. The rooms were like a little condo with everything in it. I spend 3 days here and even had a pot to make some noodles for myself. Absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The only thing that bothered me a little was the strong smell which must have been because the building was old.
The building is weird. The hallway is like from scary movies, where it never ends. Also, on the day of the arrival one of the lifts didnt work. The back side lift looked horrible from inside so we decided to go back to the main one. Also, lift can fit only 4 people maximum. Can you imagine the queue for a such big building. Was quite annoying. The area is nice and pricey.
We enjoyed our stay, although the rooms are much older and run down than shown on the website. We stayed at Chelsea for 5 nights and got a great price for the location. The studio apartments are perfectly sized for a couple and there is a Sainsbury juts next door for shopping. Kitchen is also equipped well, but no microwave. Staff at reception is really friendly and helpful.
It's a terrible place. Repairs — without stopping, nowhere warn about it! Noise and dirt all the time. Full of Romanian prostitutes and pimps! The bar is very noisy.
Great location Very well arranged. Unfortunately pretty poorly soundproof what in London is pretty classic…
HORRIBLE — I strongly recommend this hotel, the photos presented on the Internet are deceptive, we were given a room on the 1st floor side street: room very small, cleanliness leave to be desired, window not soundproof (do not put a window will have nothing Changed at all). After Râlé (a lot of moaning) we got a room on the inside courtyard on the 8th floor. We talked with several guests of the hotel and mostly all had experienced the same thing. The only good thing is the location in the center of Chelsea not far from King's Road.
In serious need of renovation. The plush entrance hall and reception belies what waits inside the rooms! Would not stay here again. Clean enough, but I was in no hurry to use the kitchen area! We were only there one night and it is in a great location so it wasn't too bad. Room supposed to be ready at 2pm. We arrived a little early and told to come back. Returned after 5 and still had to wait in reception until a key was "found" for us, which is unacceptable considering patrons are required to vacate at 10 am.
Bad rooms The pictures present are a scam.
These are the real photos.
The bathroom door doesn't even open.
The experience with the hotel has been terrible as when arriving at the same the rooms were absolutely different from what was shown on their website. It was very old, with floors that creak, small bath and even older, full of rust, windows shattered and full of chips, the TV only saw a channel, the kitchen was incredibly small (you can not close the door with someone inside and the feeling of ago Bio is absolute) as well as not being completely clean. After complaining about the situation we were offered to see other rooms to change but after wasting hours arguing and seeing rooms were all similar, so we were advised to wait the next day to have free better rooms. As we said, the total of apartments (which are many) only 50 are refurbished, so I consider an absolute scam that does not even warn of the risk that you touch something else. When asking for compensation for the inconvenience they ask us to return another day to talk to another manager, as that person could not manage that issue, which implies even more waste of time. Definitely the only good thing about this hotel is the location.
Located in a nice area close to the means of transportation. Supermarket a few steps away. Welcoming staff, available and even if they do not speak French, they give themselves the means to communicate and to meet our expectations. The apartment was nice and comfortable, well equipped.
We had a pleasant stay.
Upon arrival the place looked promising, based on the entrance and lobby. The room was decent in size, but lacked in a few aspects. The kitchen, while stocked with appliances, had no coffee or tea, but did provide washing up liquid for dishes. The dining/living room area had a dining table, a coffee table and a TV, but no sofa, even though there was plenty of room for one, so resting one’s feet required you sit or lay down on the bed. The windows, which I am guessing were originals, showed bad wear and tear, especially in the bathroom where the water from the shower hit the window and had rusted the window frame. The room/apartment was clean, though, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was okay, although nobody acknowledged any resident entering the lobby unless they approached the desk and spoke to staff first. Letting office staff was far more friendly and helpful.
A star is removed for waking up in the middle of the night (2 times) after a faulty outbreak of the fire alarm. On the other hand, very functional and comfortable studio: The kitchen is very appreciable.
Witnessed two very different experiences in this place. Me and my parents both booked a room through a booking site. The front desk staff told me to go the letting office instead, where the service was friendly and I got my room keys in no time. My parents again were also told to go there, but apparently their booking wasn't with that place. After a lot of confusion they were told to go back to the front desk, where they refused to service and told to contact the letting office instead. After going back and forth enough the letting office and front desk staff concluded that their keys were at the front desk after all. The building is apparently split into smaller companies, ranging from a hotel to longer term housing, but it's not very clear which one is which, as they all call themselves "Chelsea Cloisters". The room we got was decent, but naturally not what the official pictures had. The place was clean, although you could see wear and tear everywhere, the bathroom was the worst. The location was pretty good, but the whole experience left room for some improvement.
Great location. Good view over London (Harrods lit up at night) — if you get that direction. Simple rooms. Friendly staff. Pity there’s no Wi-Fi included.
Not Recommended. Room was like a small birdhouse, broken walls looked like no one pays attention for repairs. Over all not a good place. There is nothing good except nice location.
Very expensive prices. Tiny and very dirty room. No change of the dryers during the whole period of stay (5 nights). Neighbors noise at night. Constant bad smells coming from the bathroom drain. Good only the central location in the city.
We had a studio apt we rented through HomeAway. Units are crowded but nice. Location is perfect for visitors as you're just a couple blocks from the underground and groceries. Museums are on walking distance.
Quite nice, they changed our towels and picked up the trash. The apartment had all the utensils needed for cooking and there was even some cookie and fairy to wash the dishes (there was also a washing machine). Hair dryer, iron, clothesline. Very well equipped. Very nice and the reception (24h) kept our suitcases on the last day, while visited the city. Default: Wi-Fi Payment! That's why I don't give you the five stars. They should change it.
Sad but fun end of my visit to London. This evening I suddenly found water drowning from the roof of my apartment rent via Booking. Place is called Chelsea Cloisters. So I called to the reception and they said they will send someone. Then this guy from the video came to the room, took a look and went to the upper floor. Came back 15 minutes later saying “no problem there”. I asked “and where is the problem? ”. He said “I called to manager, problem will be solved”. Not a friend…ly talk really when you have you flight tomorrow and intend to pack suitcase and spend last evening in London in pub, but in this mess. He said “they will do all the work and clean the place”. I left the apartment in 10pm, got back in 11:30pm and found those two gentlemen in first video saying that “we need to wait till the morning, nothing could be done right now, manager told us that”. So I need to sleep in filthy wet room with water drowning from the top, because they don’t have proper community services and didn’t repair water system?! I packed my things. Rent a room in nice hotel nearby via HotelTonight app (very helpful cauz Booking provide me with next day arrival after midnight). Videos provided enough evidences of the way how guests are treated in Chelsea Cloisters. I can expect it anywhere, but not in the center of London. What a hospitality! P. S. Can't attach videos to this review, but you can find it on my facebook page easily)
Terrible! I understand some maintenance issues cost a lot of money and I'm ok with that… I am not ok with the fact that this place is filthy! A disgrace to be exact! It does not cost to maintain a level of cleanliness! The pictures online are misleading! This should be rated budget and not 3 star!
I just got back from London and stayed in a studio room at Chelsea cloisters. Great hotel rooms large and spacious we were two and we had a dispisizione two bedroom living room 3 bathrooms and kitchen a marvel, excellent location near the Metro stop Kensington. I recommend it to 100% satisfied.
Very good value for money! Gladly again.
The location is superb. Good price.
Not luxury apartments But with everything you need: washing machine, fridge, oven, stove and crockery. In addition to a bathroom (small). Very close to the metro station.
Claustrophobic and labyrinth like corridors — I really don't want to imagine how the evacuation in case of emergency looks like there! The elevators are very small which makes transporting of bigger items tough. No security/guards on the doors which allows literally anyone to walk in and go straight to the rooms. Prices for rooms are expensive but the standards of the rooms are pretty low. The windows are old and not noise proof — yet the building is located in the heart of Chelsea.
Good location. Easy walking distance to two underground stations, a couple museums, good restaurants and shopping. Chelsea Clusters is a pretty calm place and in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed in one of the recently renovated 1 bedroom apartments (with living room and kitchen). It was fairly nice and decently sized for London. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. The hall carpets could use replacing and the elevators could use a little maintenance. All in all, it's a nice place and we'd stay there again.
This is a really well located accommodation. The reception staff are very friendly, however strangely they can't take a payment any you then have to go to an accounts office. I was upgraded from a studio room toast two bedroom apartment. The apartment was large, bright, well equipped and clean. Downside the double glazing is poor so traffic noise is intrusive and some small areas were decoration is disappointing. I will stay there again, for the price great value.
It was a great place to walk to the Metro. Small apartment but equipped with kitchen and everything you need for a comfortable stay, clean bathroom with shower, acceptable. It would serve a thicker tent to better counteract the light from the window at night. Wi-Fi Excellent.
I stayed here with my wife for 8 nights in a Studio. I was ready for much worse, according to the reviews, however my experience was definitely positive.
Step 1: Budget. Found on booking I reserved a very competitive rate compared to competitors point 2: Location. In my opinion it is in the most beautiful district of london, simply spectacular, with a market at 25 meters!
Step 3: Comfort. In The house there is all the essentials to be Well. Sure, the bathroom is mini, but for a few days it's Perfect.
When I return to london, I will consult the Chelsea cloisters tariff schedule before each other!
Council on Rooms: High floors.
We took a tremendous disappointment because the photos do not correspond to the reality, the apartment is very deteriorated, with a smell of tobacco and very old.
The only good thing about the location. We will not come back because it is expensive for what it offers. I thought I rented the apartment from the photos and not the lining.
We went 4 and the apartment was big with 2 rooms and lounge kitchen. Very modern and new. Close to the metro station and the city centre.
Small room with kitchenette and bathroom. Good care, daily cleaning.
A comfortable place to stay. I had two rooms. The furniture was functional. Everything was clean. There is a grocery store a block away and lots of eating places within a few blocks. I would stay here again.
Good location. Short walk to the Tube. Close enough to the tourist stuff to walk if you want. The room was compact but still enough space to fit all the luggage and two people.
Really struggled to put 1 star… apartment was something from only fool's and horses… cracked tiles in bathroom… had not seen any fresh paint for a decade… Windows rusty with cracked pains… found a lift that had the interior carpeted on the walls which has clearly been bought from a squatters bedsit. Kitchen sink wasn't accessable unless. You were anorexic… bed very uncomfortable… bathroom was filthy with mould and silicon hanging off… pretty close to resembling a swingers hotel in Blackpool I would say… luckily it was for only 1 night. Thought I would add a bit of class and left my Harrods carrier bag.
Convenient to metro. Nice clean apartment. Only problem was the smell of cigarettes from people smoking in other apts coming into ours.
We are currently staying here now. We have had very good service from the front desk associates (we had issues with the washer/dryer being locked all the time due to a child safety lock). Our studio is perfect for our needs and we are on the inner side of the apartments over looking the rooftop. I feel this is the much quieter side of the building.
As for our furnishings. We are very satisfied with all of the things we have in our unit (washer/dryer, refrigerator, 2 burner stove top, microwave, oven, toaster, and all pots, pans, and dinnerware).
We will definitely be staying here again next year!
The room was not ready when we arrived. The TV was down (antenna and DVD), the shelf of the wobbly microwave, the painting of the furniture of the bathroom (wooden) leaves in pieces… many crafts "Sunday" on the doors and cupboards, lino in bad condition and very ugly view on the inner courtyard of the building.
Does not match the photos of the booking sites.
Phone number does not work, all of the staff that we encountered were rude and unhelpful, reception was rude argumentative and unhelpful and the room had stained walls, broken plaster and various other issues. Good location but not worth staying here given all the negatives!
Very close to South Kensington underground in a very nice area. Rooms are s little small but not too bad. It is to be expected within London. Our room didn't have air conditioning and it can get quite warm. Otherwise it was good.
Ideally located on Sloane Avenue and close to amenities and events in West London. This hotel offers self contained rooms that would allow visitors to enjoy London like a local. Be able to cook and wash for themselves in charming 1920s surroundings. This by no means is an upmarket hotel but an old style of bedsits offered on a premium price for long term travellers. It has all the old decor and fittings — even the windows haven't been replaced.
Dirty, beds with dirty sheets, uncomfortable beds, the staff at the front desk can do nothing but give you the key, for any problem you have to talk to the dedicated office that in the morning and evening is closed, I hope not to come back here in the future.
Although the rooms may look like their age, the bathroom here and there is lime, and the windows are hardly insulating English, we enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were nice size and we had a great view. The bed clean and the cleaning women diligently.
TERRIBLE! If I can I will give 0 star.
Totally don't recommend anyone spending money for this awful place. The room is totally different from the pictures they show on website of Facebook. Especially the toilet has lots of mold. There were even dead mosquitos on the wall when we first arrived.
Also, the staff are super unfriendly and unhelpful. Talking to them feels like I owed them money or something.
No one should spend such money for this.
The place was definitely not as shown online. It was a lot smaller than expected, had a filthy sofa/sleeper, our room phone didn't work, and we have NO TOILET because they couldn't fix it. We waited 3.5 hours (until 11pm! ) to have them fix it, when they couldn't in the end. They had no empty/emergency rooms available, so we were forced to use the facilities in the lobby… in a large old building that didn't seem that safe/secure. We were grateful for the night security guard, who was the most helpful and responsive staff member, all the others seemed to not care enough to help us. We have booked another hotel for the rest of our stay and will try to get a refund, so needless to say I do NOT recommend this place!
How disappointing. On arrival and during stay when there were any problems with our 'apartment' staff response was singularly unhelpful, with the exception of one of the security staff. Example, only one key issued and refusal to provide a second key for second guest in the apartment. 'Apartment' was tiny and could barely accomodate our few possessions. Booked for over a week, and we were told that we would have to pay for fresh linen. Oh, yes, and when we did get fresh towels, one had a giant tear in it. No replenishment of toiletries during the entire stay. Corridors are smelly and need renovations. The appliances in the room were faulty, and we were given no instruction on how to use the ceramic stove top or washing machine. The 'apartments' are advertised as luxury, which must have an alternate meaning to my understanding of the word. One star is given to the location of the property, which was great.
Apartment building that is dated and staff not helpful. The apartment itself was clean and very spacious. It had a washing machine. No free Wi-Fi. Check out time is 10am. We extended ours until 11 but received a very rude phone call a little after 10 telling us we had to leave within 10 minutes. Good location. For the price, I prefer a proper hotel.
If you're lucky enough to get one of the real "luxury suites" you will like your stay. They decided to give us the worst suite in t he hotel. No well maintained, very small and just as good as any 2 star hotel around King's Cross. We insisted to change the suite and had a better one, spacious, more space and even a living room which should have been the case since the beginning. Ask for the nice one straight away and don't waste your time. Cleaning is fine anyway. But standards are definitely not luxury.
Nice place. 5 minutes walk from the Metro but you can also quickly walk to the centre of London.
Each appears to be owned by different companies or people, so are all separately fitted out. This means it is hard to know what your room will be like when you arrive. My room was surprisingly spacious for the area, and had a small kitchenette with a microwave and hob. The location is the real selling point for this, short walking distance from the Thames and Kings Road.
Convenience place! 5 mins from South Kennington or sloane square. Quite clean! Everyday has cleaner to do room services. Little bit noisy when you face to the street.
I fell in the hallway over a step after checking in. No record of the accident was taken. Then went to the room to find a faulty dangerous multi plug which was secured with black electrical tape with wire exposed! Paint was flaking. Very basic. It was only a two night stay, looks absolutely NOTHING like the website.
I stayed more than 2 months during 2015 for business occasion in one of their Studio. The cons : The number of rooms and clients are really important (noisy). All the place needs a financial investment to be renew (picture on the website are 10 years old I think). Rooms are really SMALL and not really clean (and I'm young so. ). There are no hookers but there are sometimes some escorts (which is in fact quite the same thing if you have money! ). The place is not unsafe (physically) but I never let my passeport or computer in the room (but anything have been stolen from me during my stay). The pros : It was the cheapest 3 stars I found in central london but the price paid is enough. There is a secret Bar in the hotel (which is really cool). Staff is cool and when my washing machine has been broken, they change it in 3 days. There is a Sainsbury at 30 seconds by walk where you can buy some foods. Good neighborhood of South Kensington (really calm even during the night) with direct transport for the City (2 subway lines). CONCLUSION : If you have more money, do not hesitate to go to another place. If you don't. Then you will accept this place but you will work hard to have a better place to stay for you next stop in London!
Near South Kensington tube station and walking distance to Knightsbridge. The first apartment I stayed in was a nice studio apartment, quite livable. The second felt like a bed sit. Great location and offers the ability to cook a healthy meal rather than eating out. The apartments are serviced everyday, beds are made and kitchen tidied etc. There's a local supermarket on the same road and Gaucho steakhouse next door.
Don't be fooled by the photos on the website. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment or 11 nights-tiny kitchen with washing machine that goes when it feels like it-ironing board broken-sofa bed stained and lumpy — doors do not close properly-towels old, thin and off white. Walls stained and dirty-whole apartment tired and smellie. Staff not very helpful or friendly BUT the location is great-a short walk to South kensington one way and Sloane square the other. Find it incrediable that a hotel in Chelsea in the middle of London does NOT HAVE FREE WI-FI!
When I lived here I was surrounded by four prostitutes all of whom were aggressive and when I had problems the man in charge initially sided with the woman he knew was a prostitute. Low calibre men in charge who side with hookers. Tacky bar out the back means there are unpleasant bouncers outside the front. Don't stay here unless your a whore or a man who uses prostitutes. Hope it shuts down.
The 6th floor is mainly full of prostitutes, I found it impossible to get to sleep here. Prostitutes would stand in the corridor shouting all night and generally being aggressive. If you are a woman with any self respect don't lower yourself to living amongst these types of people.
The sixth floor is full of prostitutes, I found it impossible to get to sleep here because prostitutes would slam the doors throughout the night. I had a prostitute who lived opposite me display aggression towards me and all of the male staff including the manager sided with the woman they knew was a prostitute because the manager said she had been there years, which says it all really. One of the receptionists is very rude as well. This place is not suitable at all for professionals, I wish I had never stayed here — I left ill with dark circles under my eyes due to being kept awake by a pimp that would stand outside my door all night.
Perfect location, close to several museums and Harrods. The building is old, our room had a living/dining room and kitchenette, very small as many buildings in London. We paid extra for daily cleaning service. A supermarket is next to the building. This building is in Chelsea which is a very good area in London. Old and tight spaces, but that's London (as is New York).
DO NOT STAY HERE! Do not be fooled by the reception which is beautiful, clean and modern. The rooms are disgusting and dirty, with stains on the curtains, mould in the bathroom, dirty sides and tables, filthy floors, finger prints and grime on the windows. Just a poor shocking excuse for a room We were also greeted by a big hole in the floor between the room and the bathroom. Don't know how this place is still in business. Stay at your own risk.
Never Stay here or use the Car wash. There are prostitutes operating from the Chelsea Cloisters thus attracting sordid characters into the building. I was also very unfortunate in using their car wash and have accrued. £1500.00 worth of damage which I am currently recovering through court. Avoid the Chelsea Cloisters at all costs.
The service didn't meet expectations for a three star accomodatin. Sometimes there is no hot water, you can take mild shower only. We tried to buy monthly internet acces in the hotel and it took three days of "ask tommmorow", until the staff finaly informed us, that they are not able to provide it and that we have to buy it on our own online. Than we managed to buy the acces online, but between 6 p. M. And 1 a. M. The line is so overloaded, that you can do almost nothing online, despite the price. The room accesory is clean, but a bit worn off.
If U like shower without water, beds like concrete and landlord who dont care, and not be sure to get access same day U arrive, then U Can order here! U Can also forget internet access. never ever again for me and my family.
Location excellent only problem is its let down by the owners. A bit of TLC wouldn't go a miss. Luxury is not what it is. Shame really.
Worst hotel I've ever been at. The toilet seat cover was broken and there was a stain\burn on the toilet it self, the bathroom was so small that just a person could fit in. Indecent. The beds are the most uncomfortable ever, the mattress is too firm and the bed sheets and pillow are made of a bad material. There were stains of soap in the washing machine and the toaster was not working at all. The only decent thing in the room was the TV but suddenly it was not working because there were no signal. The clean service is bad and the majority of them are rude. They do not change your bed sheets and towels for more than two weeks. Indecent in every way. Don't be fooled by the pictures, you won't get that flat in the picture. Do not recommend.
Rooms are neat but finishing is very old. Location very convenient.

The location is very convenient: 5 minutes walk to Metro, the mass of attractions within walking distance. Rooms are cleaned, bed linen and towels are changed without problems. The building forms a square with a courtyard. As a consequence of the rooms directly overlooking the Sloan Avenue the most noisy — choose rooms with courtyard or on the adjacent streets. In the room there was no hair dryer and safe. Across the street is the grocery store where you can buy cheap quality semi-finished products, vegetables, fruits. Microwave/oven, Toaster, kettle, pots, tableware is all there in the room.

RespondI booked a night for my Wife and I as a Wedding Anniversary surprise at one of the more expensive apartments within the Draycott building. I received internet confirmation of my booking as soon as I completed the on-line details. We spent £50 traveling to London and on arrival nobody met us. After 10 minutes waiting outside and making calls to the office that went straight to answerphone a guest came out of the building and we got inside. I found a cleaner who spoke very little English but who did actually help us call the office using her internal phone which was, surprise surprise, answered immediately. I was told that my booking had been canceled due to a problem with my credit card. I had received no such confirmation but was then forwarded the cancellation email whilst I stood in their building. Nobody called me on the mobile number that I provided to inform me that my booking had been canceled. I spent 10 minutes on the phone with their office being told that it was my fault that I had no accommodation because I had been sent a cancellation email (which was never received). On top of this I was told that it was my responsibility to phone them to make sure I had a reservation even though I had received details of my booking. We were then left with no accommodation on our Wedding Anniversary, no help in arranging alternative accommodation and 3 large bags to carry around London the whole day trying to salvage what we could of our visit.

RespondAfter being seduced by a great location, things went downhill for us from then on. A hot week in London. NO Air Conditioning! After speaking to several other sweaty and tired patrons who experienced the same fate, it seems to me that someone has rigged all of the units so that the "air conditioners" only work on the de-humidifier cycle. As a result, we spent three sleepless nights on the ground floor with 30C degree heat (75F for Americans). No one to take your complaints. No one on the premises. Frustration in the extreme.

Respond“WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED — anywhere in the world! ” Draycott House Apartments Save Review 1 of 5 stars Fifi7777 Seattle When I arrived there was one person there to greet me — a woman who didn't speak any English (or pretended she didn't). When I got to the room (top floor with no one there to offer the 'help' with bags their website promised) the room was made up but not clean. When I tried to call her I discovered the phone did not work. (Also advertised as an 'amenity' on the website). So I went down 3 flights of stairs again and knocked on her door. She pretended to not understand me but did tell me that the phones were inop but would be fixed on Monday (this was Saturday). Of course Monday rolled around and no one fixed the phones. The phones were out the entire week I was there. The internet service was marginal at best and a good part of the time I had not internet at all, and when I did the service was painfully, aggravatingly slow. The couple in the room across from mine were livid because the husband needed the internet to work. They checked out after one day. I would have left but I was ill in London and didn't have the energy or strength to find a new hotel. Several other guests I spoke to also left early. I met them as I wandered around the hotel with my computer desperately trying to get online. When I complained I was literally screamed at and told that I was a troublemaker who was just trying to get a free vacation!

Central location, clean-looks like our apartment has been refurbished recently… quality appliances… but a bit noisy outside-London doesn't sleep at night.
