Extremely welcoming, great quality & fantastic location! I was in town for business & found the hotel to be a great location as it is opposite Blackfriars station which has access to both train & tube. The staff were extremely welcoming & friendly. My room was spacious & well equipped, making my stay very comfortable. The food at the bar & lounge was also delicious! I had a great stay & would recommend.

We were in 4, two adults and two girls and we had a great time. Room with two large and comfortable double beds, spacious bathroom. Great courtesy kit for tea with delicious Scottish biscuits that we found in the room every day. Friendly and efficient staff. And for those who are homesick, I recommend the restaurant Nineteen inside the hotel.

Only stayed one night but what an impressive looking foyer and what great staff that work there. At check in I had wake up call and taxi booked for morning without any issue. Room was well stocked and complimentary water is always a bonus. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom, what else do you need.

I can't fault this place at all. Fantastic hotel with fantastic service. Easily accessible from many London train stations. Features in the hotel are sophisticated. Ideal place for various events. I was there for an MBA event.

Before we entered, we were greeted by staff and offered help with our luggage. There was a bit of confusion at check-in, but was resolved quickly as the staff tried their best to assist us. At one point we were asked about our satisfaction of housekeeping in a door-to-door survey to ensure that we were getting the best experience possible and that they did the best job possible.

A high quality hotel. The rooms are fitted out to a high standard. I can particularly recommend upgrading to a Club room as this also gives exclusive access to the Club Lounge. The service in this lounge was outstanding and much enjoyed. At all times my wife and I were looked after incredibly well by all the staff we encountered. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Being so close to Blackfriars Station is a bonus for traveling around London.

Firstly, the hotel is located right in Central London. The nearest Underground station is Black Friars. The hotel rooms are very spacious and the ambience is very good. Didn't get to try the breakfast but I hear it is very good. This meets the IHG standards for a Crowne Plaza. Very happy with the stay.

Location by the river is great, but there are things to be desired. There is only one available power plug, they only give you three hangers, and not a single wash cloth. They do have a really good breakfast.

I got an older one on first floor looking internally onto the back wall of the lift shafts in the lobby. No sockets for ANY appliances, had to plug kettle into a floor level socket. No sockets for laptops, phone charger etc. TV was new yet the chrome cast wouldn't connect properly. Wi-Fi is pretty good in the hotel though.

Not bad, not bad. Can’t best the Mondrian but still a pretty decent choice. Nothing to complain really: the place was clean, the service welcoming and the room nice.

Excellent location near Black Friars station and London red buses just near the entrance. I liked the running tracks map near the entrance to lifts on Ground Floor. The employees at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is awesome with a lot of nice yummy selection.

German/English A very nice hotel in London, located directly at the Blackfriars Bridge. We visited in June 2014 and had a suite on the 6th floor including free breakfast and 24 access to the breakfast room where drinks and snacks were offered. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The condition of the room is good. The beds were top. Would book the hotel again at any time, but it doesn't always have to be a suite, as the room is only for sleeping.

Great hotel great service nice modern room.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is pretty decent with some good pubs close by (Blackfriars just across the road, both the pub and train station). Breakfast buffet downstairs was simple enough. Also be aware that the mini fridges have a scanner, so if you take stuff out to put your own food and drinks in, they will automatically be charged. We just mentioned to the front desk, and they sorted it out quickly.

Great location, nice and central with fantastic access to the tube network. Spent a few days here with my wife and had such a friendly reception, nice touches like an upgrade to a suite and complimentary bottle of wine delivered to our room once we had arrived. We enjoyed the Lord Mayors parade as it passes strait past the hotels front doors. Breakfast was really good, quality ingredients and very attentive service.

Really friendly staff. Excellent comfortable beds. Chinese restaurant was great. Varied menu and really delicious. Cocktail bar has an excellent selection. Thoroughly recommend.

Crowne plaza was once a favourite … Now a little bit less style … Good coffee and orange juice (second cup/glass when you hunt down staff) (adding comment) Hunting staff STILL an issue. Food was slow 40 minutes for bangers and mash. And served only when we approached waitresses. Polite but … SLOW.

This is an amazing excellent hotel — superb location, 2 min walk from the tube, in the heart of the business center. The quality of the hotel would easily rival 5-star counterparts and is better than its other chain locations. Absolutely recommended for business or leisure l.

Good size room. Not too expensive. Reception staff were great. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with a good breakfast. Quiet at the weekends. Large beds in a good size room. A short walk away from Somerset House.

Staff is wonderfully attentive, Voltaire is fabulous! Room efficient and beds slept great. Lived the location in Blackfriar too, a working community with no shortage of pubs. Short walk to Tate museum and other river view venues. Don't miss Burrough Market nearby on Saturday.

The staff is 5/5. The Good Impeccable service. The staff is consummately professional, courteous, and competent. Perfect location in central London. Black Friars underground is across the street. The vibe is understated and professional. The Bad Many facilities are not maintained. On the 7th floor, showers turned into baths because the bathtub drained too slowly. Toilet pressure in the room was too low, requiring several flushes; the low water pressure took more than 5 minutes to refill the tank enough to flush. Wifi in the room consistently tested at.

Great location, incredibly friendly staff at this location. Rooms are somewhat dated and in need of a refresh. Carpets are visibly dirty and the air conditioner was struggling to keep the room cool on days that were simply not that hot. I can not say enough about the friendliness of the staff, on several. Occasions the staff surprised us with generosity and kindness! This is a solid hotel that is well managed, just in need of a simple refurb! Also, elite members do re eived recognition and premium attention and upgrades.

Internet is a big problem in many rooms. Staff is helpful though. Overall a decent hotel with clean rooms. Breakfast was quite good but the cutlery wasn't clean on 2 of the 5 days.

Absolutely lovely. The location is one of its best features, right next to the Blackfriars station and bridge. Housekeeping was quick and pleasant. The room was big and comfortable.

I visited a year ago and the best hotel if ever been to and I've been to some in Dubai and believe me they were excellent but rooms nice and comfy and breakfasts were excellent.

Lovely reception area and lounge bar, very grandiose. I was attending a conference so can't comment on the rooms, the conference centre is very nice.

We booked a table for 8 on a Saturday night 45 mins before eating. They accommodated with a big table in the corner. Food was really good — standard hotel offerings but done well. The pizza really hit the spot. Calamari not oily at all. Ravioli, excellent. Pork belly was a little too salty though. Service was impeccable. Pleasantly surprised and well recommended.

Great hotel. Very fresh and vibrant. Chinese cricket club does awesome food and accepts tastecard. Guest Relation Manager is friendly and very attentive. One of our first choices for stays in London.

The hotel was nothing special. Not horrible by any means but nothing that made it stand out. The nicest thing was the pillows, amazing pillows. But as far as anything else went, it was mediocre and could have been a cheaper chain hotel.

Attended a conference in the downstairs conference room. Facilities were nice, but doom was very warm and got uncomfortable. Food and service was good.

Good location next to blackfriars station, rooms are standard crowne plaza as found across the world. Breakfast good but slightly cramped seating.

Lovely hotel with a good location. Staff are friendly. Great rooms with luxury touches. My only small gripe was that I hoped to have sockets near the bed but they were on the other side of the room.

Conveniently located across the street from Blackfriars Station. We took the train from Gatwick and arrived across from the hotel. About a 15 minute walk to Tate Modern and Shakespeare Globe. The rooms offer two real double beds which is great for families with two kids.

Nice hotel located in a great, easily accessible location and beyond friendly staff. We chose this hotel because they were one of the few hotels that offered a room with two double beds and was close to the center of the city. Not to mention, it was even a little cheaper than certain other hotels further away. One thing that stood out was the staff, they were very friendly and accommodating, which is why I raised the rating up to four stars. Everything we needed, they went above and beyond to accommodate. The room was spacious, nice and clean, the beds were very comfortable and plenty of outlet room to use. They even include a charging dock for the iPhone 30pin, iPhone lightning, and micro-usb ports. The bathroom was large, with the shower-tub standing pretty tall, so you have to be extra careful getting in and out so that you don't sleep. Something I don't understand (must be a European thing) is how short the shower door is, where pretty much most of the water would splash out of the tub and onto the floor, and making it a higher risk to slip. The hotel itself is nice, with a two or three restaurants on premises and a nice bar downstairs. You can expect hotel pricing on these restaurants (more expensive), but the food wasn't too bad. Another big plus is the location of the hotel. You're right across the street from the Blackfriars Tube station, about a mile from the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Parliament. We were completely satisfied with the service. The room was very comfortable and the staff so helpful. We even had help fixing our flat tire, above and beyond the call of duty. Also, we enjoyed speaking with everyone especially the young lady from Milan who served us in Restaurant 19. Thank you.

The hotel was very good, the location also. Nearby, there is a metro station, Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Tesco.

Great hotel in the heart of London. Stayed there a couple weeks ago. The complimentary breakfast was great and the special room with free open bar in the evening was a welcome addition.

The hotel is full, but the staff is a real disaster, the master responsible for the breakfast is an impertinent, staff have no idea, a few days if we had breakfast, another not, call us at 6 in the morning to wake us up when we had not given order. Horrible.
