When we got there one of the lifts weren’t working so big queue. The room was small (we were told we had been upgraded so not sure what cupboard we’d been booked into previously) The telephones weren’t working to housekeeping or reception when we tried to get two more pillows. Eventually someone came up and said ‘were you trying to phone us, we’re having a problem with our phones? ’ Check out was tediously slow as nothing was working it seems. We needed a receipt (for expenses) and it wouldn’t print one or even send to email! We were 10 minutes whilst the girl on reception printed reels and reels of paper none of them being our receipt. Wouldn’t return. Might miss out train home next time.

A nice location with great views from the sky bar. Right next to the tube for easy access. Nice, clean rooms. 24/7 restaurant, all ng with a Chinese restaurant and the skybar. Would def stay again.

Booked through booking. Com, did not state you had to pay a £50 refundable deposit. 10 weeks later after multiple calls and emails the money still hasn’t been refunded. No not recommend.

Had the most wonderful view! The top of the tube station next door, very small rooms claustrophobic.

I paid for a junior suit with a city view and it looks NOTHING like the picture that is advertised to you. I’m so disappointed, they had a room available that was empty that they could have upgraded me too but they said I would need to pay more. If I had known my room wasn’t going to be a full wall of floor to floor glass I would never have booked it, even though that’s how it is advertised in the picture. The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful in trying to resolve the issue however the manager on duty was so rude and very unsympathetic. Look at the pictures I have attached. The first one is the room that was advertised to me and the second picture is what I got when I arrived there.
They looks nothing alike, do not waste your money this is false advertisement!

Warm and friendly staff, beautiful room and delicious food — at very reasonable prices. Convenient location. Stayed in a lot of hotels for work and this is really one of the nicest. I’d stay again.

This was a great hotel and very convenient for central London. The view from our room was amazing, room service and breakfast all excellent. Harmony who greeted us was brilliant and did all she could to make us feel welcome. However I stay in hotels a lot and we got back to our room at 11.04am (when check out was 11am) and our room key didn’t work! This meant we had to go back down 8 floors, queue in the checkout queue for over 30 mins to then get our key replaced. The rule at the hotel is that your key is immediately deactivated after check out time… I have never know such a policy in any hotel I have stayed in. I appreciate a rule is a rule but this has not been thought of with the customer in mind. It made our checkout prolonged, in addition to us having to get this all sorted before we left — especially as my friend had to get a flight which then resulted in us rushing… another little tip my friend was going to book again but no offers given and in fact the cost was really expensive so you lost out on a booking immediately perhaps just some recognition of a returning customer might have sold it! Don’t let these little irritants ruin what is a lovely hotel and you definitely need to rethink the check out policy with the customer experience in mind.

They charged us for 2 rooms when we only needed one: when we asked for a refund, they refused: when we arrived at the hotel, there was only one room booked on the system, so they charged us twice for the same room without an apology or explanation, not even the manager was helpful, till today we have never got our money back, got the extra room or even an apology, I believe that the hotel scammed us out of our money and the hotel room was dirty with rubbish under the bead and the mini bar was incomplete but we were still ordered to pay £50 deposit for the useless mini bar, the room we got was not the same as the one in the photos we choose.

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Dorsett City. The hotel is centrally located, which gives access to easily get around the city. Beautiful hotel and great customer service. We will return soon!

Great Roof Top Bar, wicked cocktails, friendly staff.

I booked and prepaid our stay at Booking. Upon our checkout we requested a receipt/invoice for our stay, and were told that this was something that Booking should provide us with. When now contacting Booking, they mean that it is something that the hotel should provide. They have contacted Dorsett to have them help us, but it seems like they refuse to provide something as simple as a receipt/invoice, that should be standard in the business. So, if you plan to prepay your business travel and need a receipt/invoice for your stay, maybe this should be something to consider. Apart from this, the hotel itself is great.

We spent 1 night in this hotel, very good standing, well located, underground next door, bus, 200m london bridge and tower hill. The room very comfortable, I really liked the bathroom. I would recommend this hotel.

Great place! Super helpful. Beautiful rooms. Shower is amazing. They even have Handy phones to use during your stay. Definitely worth staying here.

We stayed for three nights in early Aug. The front office managers are v friendly. Robert is one of them. He was so attentive to your request. Others were also helpful to print train tickets for me. Buffet breakfast on first floor is very good especially the dim sum. It is obvious that mgt has put in much efforts in hospitality training and this made my stay v enjoyable.

Positives — lovely room with very comfy bed, amazing shower, all areas clean, reception staff very helpful, great location and if you get a room overlooking the gherkin side the views are brilliant. Negatives — roof top bar sounds great and to get up it feels exclusive however once up there apart from the views it was disappointing. It was a 15minute wait to be served only to be told it had to be from a different part of the bar, there were no drinks menus available but people were drinking what looked like fab cocktails, some people seemed to be getting waitress service and some people were eating but we overheard a couple being told they didn't serve food, a service charge was added to what were already overpriced drinks when the service was non existent but the worst parts were the plastic chairs and loads of people smoking. The doors were all open to create a bigger area but because of this the smoke from outside just cam inside making it not a nice place to be. Such a shame as its got the makings of a great bar but seems to have too much going on and none of it done well.

Professional and friendly stuff. The room was very clean. If you are lucky to get a room on a higher floor then the view will be amazing. They offer 24h menu with a really good price. I can only complain that they provided only one toothbrush and not enough toothpaste (I booked room for two). Location is also great. The tube station is literally 10 meters from the hotel. The bus station is also close. The price for the room was also very competitive. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Dorsett City is located right next to the Aldgate Underground station in Zone 1 (the central zone) of the Underground system, so transit to tourist locations is very convenient. The staff was courteous and professional, and the room was nicely set up, the bathroom in particular. I had previously been shopping for fixtures to renovate a bathroom, and having in mind how much research I put into designing a coordinated setup, I was pretty impressed with the design they put together. The bedroom included a phone for local calls, an electric water kettle, a Nespresso machine, a refrigerator, closet, robes. The hotel also has a gym. Overall, it seemed like they had put a good deal of thought into providing a pleasant and convenient stay for their guests.

Hotel is highly recommended Good service and beautiful rooms. In addition, the location is very convenient if you use the underground.
