Solid hotel with a great spa in a fantastic location, but oddly lacking some of the basics, namely the basic building block of all life on earth… water. This hotel was weirdly penny-pinching about water. I have never been to a five star hotel that did not provide at least one initial complimentary bottle of water in the room, but apparently this hotel does not. When we asked for water they sent a jug of tap water to the room. The water shortage continued in the spa, where there is not easy or sufficient access to water, only a small jug placed at the entrance to the changing rooms, which means that if you have been in the hot sauna and find yourself in need of water you must exit the spa, walk all the way through the changing room, out the door of the changing room to the main hall, just to find a jug of water, which was empty so needed to find an attendant to ask for more. Seems a somewhat serious health and safety risk not to have water readily available in a gym/spa facility. One last quip at odd business practice: The mini-bar has a uniquely inhospitable configuration, whereby sensors inside of the refrigerator will automatically charge to your room for any items the instant that they are removed from the refrigerator. We requested to have our mini-bar emptied so that we could use the refrigerator for our own bottled water, since none was provided.

On the positive side : * Great location * Nice breakfast * Spacious rooms (stayed at deluxe double bedroom) On the negative side : * The majority of the staff needs lessons in being friendly and polite * Someone should tell the waiters to look the other side while typing your debit card pin * Room cleaning: the room was not cleaned by 3 pm. After a phone call to the reception followed by a personal visit the cleaning lady finally arrived at 4 pm! * The shower really needs a good cleaning from the limescale! * Got stuck in the elevator (could happen anywhere). When we finally got out, we were told by the gentleman at the hotel that they have been trying to solve it for some time now! * Terrible bar service: after a 20 minutes wait we asked the barman ourselves for the menu. Took them 20 minutes to get us the drinks, they required payment immediately. After another 45 minutes no signs of the food. When asked for order cancellation we had to seek the manager on duty ourselves to get a refund. * The Wi-Fi is a joke, works only in the lobby! * The hotel needs to consider its conference clientele. The bars were noisy and rough because of that.

Horrible beds, linens are rough and towels are sandpaper. Housekeeping cannot clean/does not clear dishes/glasses etc or vacuum. The TV is the size of a microwave oven. The window opens into courtyard/across other rooms where everyone can see in. The shower amenities are awful and the shower pressure is abysmal. The have recordings for what hey offer, but when you ask, they say they don’t offer it. This is no way a 5 star hotel. Not even a 4 star. A really really good 3 star but extremely disappointed in this hotel. Wish I could get my money back.

Excellent location next to St Paul's and the Millennium Bridge that takes you over to the Tate Modern. It a pleasantly quiet location but still with plenty of restaurants and attractions to choose from. Easy access to the rest of London via the nearby Tube station. We have stayed here a number of times and will keep coming back. Nice.

Not really 5 stars. Comfortable but rooms are dated and amenities are okay but nothing stellar. The reception area was routinely overflowing with hen’s party groups or guests trying to check in/out. Staff are sleep walking around the halls and rarely engage with guests in my experience. Very hot public areas and hallways during cooler temperatures and the in-room air conditioning simply doesn’t work after about 10pm, so you cook overnight. Food was good but the restaurant area is very busy and lacking service at breakfast time.

Great hotel. Very nice rooms, with excellent bathrooms. The shower is quite nice, with multiple shower heads. The roof top bar has excellent views of both St. Paul's and the Millennium Bridge and beyond. The breakfast included with the room is extensive, with many items to choose from. Breakfast was served in the atrium. The concierge was very helpful with local recommendations. A great hotel just steps away from St. Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge.

Having only been at the hotel for corporate events, I can only comment on the fantastic service we received from the staff hosting us. The service was spot on, the food and refreshments were amazing and the surroundings were comfortable and welcoming. The rooftop bar is the jewel in the crown though, very impressive views of the city and the cathedral.

This is by a long stretch the worst luxury hotel I have ever stayed in my life. I really usually try to give positive reviews, but this place is really pushing my limits. As a start, for two days I got no freaking room service. And it's not as I'm returning early from work, it was EOD both times, close to 7pm and I get to find my room with soaked towels and non empty garbage bins. Second, their AC system has to be the dumbest thing I've seen on a long time. They claim that it will keep on auto at a 21/22 C, but my room was a bloody sauna at 27C at all times. No matter what I tried to do. I'll certainly never stay in this hotel ever again.

What a relaxed friendly place. Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms could be a bit more modern. Friendly staff, very nice wellness area — water was not too cold for me and that means something. Great Japanese restaurant on site. Nice ambience in the lobby with the piano that plays automatically. Hope to return soon.

This is my 2nd stay. Great location business travelers, close to business centre and just far enough from touristy centre. Service level is above average. Professional and well trained staff. Rooms are above average… my room during my 1st stay was not as nice. So experiences may vary. Only request would be for better TV in room. Small and old TV about the size of a 24" monitor. I would recommend.

Not worth the 5 stars, breakfast to forget.

Wow! In the middle of life, walking distance to the Millennium Bridge, direct view of St. Paul's Cathedral from the bed, great great!

Nice clean hotel. Comfy beds, staff friendly. Miles better than the last hotel we stayed at in London. Would stay again.

The breakfast that you include is basto, there are fruit, yogurt, sweet and savoury bread, cold meats, cheeses, juices, cereal. The location is excellent, it is right behind Saint Paul's Cathedral and a tourist information center from which they depart thematic tours, they give you good information and you can buy tickets for almost everything. If you buy hop on hop off tickets, in front of the cathedral there is a stop for this shuttle service. There are two meters very close (walking maximum 5 minutes) Saint Paul and Maison. Also across the street you come across the Millenium Bridgestone walking and walk to the Tate. I recommend the hikes tours that give in the tourist information center that previously mentioned and that depart from there. They will take you to interesting points of the walking area, and that hardly anyone knows like the Saint Bartholomew Hospital, that offers guided views, Charterhuose (a Carthusian monastery), Museum of London, several churches, among them, some demolished during the second World War, another in which is buried a queen and a Romanesque style (all jewels) will tell you stories of crimes, they will take you through Patternof square that is opposite Saint Paul, to Smithfield. In addition, the location of the hotel is excellent.

Great for a relaxing weekend in the city. Close to lots of sights including St Paul's cathedral, the tower of London, tower bridge, the Barbican and well connected with tubes buses and bicycles. Had a great time using the gym, pool and sauna areas. Enough equipment and all very clean.

You check in early enough and later pick up the room card. The room is already occupied. Then you go down the saying no excuse is no nothing. And until the guy finally clarified everything after 20 min. You were taken to another room. In the first moment also everything is OK. Until you took the blanket from the bed and there was a streak of blood. Let alone in the bathroom the mirrors full of strips hatt3äe and the tub itself still had imprints of the slip mat. Conclusion: No thanks there you already count a lot for such a room and then that.

Great hotel with very good connection to bus & Metro. Tourist information right outside the door.

Good hotel. Good location. Clean. And attentive staff. I found a good deal. It's probably expensive. Which he detailed in my opinion. Few employees speak Castilian. I found one. Mauricio. Very good lad. One thing he also highlighted. Is that the rooms are completely closed. There is no type of window to ventilate or you can just open it for air. That seemed to me a little detail that I don't like. Otherwise good.

We stayed in November, we admired a lot, very nice room, clean, breakfast, great, location, very good, staff, friendly. Everything was great. 'll.

Incompetent. Liars. Thieves. Don't be hungry or thirsty! Allow 3 hours for 1 check in. The concierge is however the only pole of the hotel at the level.

Top but do not go to the gym too soon because otherwise we train in the dark otherwise hotel at the top.

We enjoyed our stay at Grange St Paul's, a really great location & just a couple of minutes walk from the underground. Don't expect much atmosphere in the Christmas holidays around the St Paul's area, it's a little soulless due to the City being closed for a few days so many bars & restaurants close early, are shut or are completely quiet. The hotel is very modern inside, clean & the staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms are okay but could do with updating a little and don't expect much of a view from your room, it's likely you'll be facing an office block in a tightly packed street. It's disappointing that although a continental breakfast is included in the price, when you're paying a couple of hundred pounds per night, it's not too much to ask to have the full English included without the surcharge. The continental breakfast was reasonable quality though with a good choice of cereals, fruit, pastries, meats & cheeses. We'd definitely stay here again due to its location but just a couple of areas let it down.

We had the entire ground floor hall for our work Xmas do. It's a very large area with good facilities. The food was acceptable, I had the vegetarian offering whereas my colleagues had turkey. The staff were polite and attentive. All in all, a positive experience.

Fantastic location just yards from the cathedral, decent quality rooms and service. Only slightly let down by one of the lifts not working that meant a bit of a wait as it went to every floor, every time, packed (and was apparently a common occurrence according to regular guests) — but only slightly marred a fantastic stay.

Great hotel! The rooms are large with nice bathrooms, the shower is kinda leaky but really nice. An awesome outside sitting area for smokers or just fresh air escape. The hotel itself is very local to stores restaurants and the beautiful church. Inside it has about 3 places to grab coffee our a biscuit. It also has two bar restaurants with good food and awesome staff.

A very comfortable and centrally located hotel as such, with all one could ask for. However, they may lure you into opting for their suite rooms calling it an upgrade which you should not fall for, before checking. Grange suits are apartments style rooms in a different building few blocks away in Creed lane. So if you want to enjoy the hotel atmosphere and want in house restaurants, stay right at the main hotel. Cleaning services are good and regular and breakfast is sumptuous. Vegetarians will have fewer options though. Helpful staff and the location couldn't be better.

Great staff, nice facilities, good sports and health centre. Only reason my review is three stars is because my room had a big wet patch in it. The hotel offered my abuther room if I wanted but they also sad they'd send engineering to look at it. Discovered after going back to the room that they had done nothing but confirm it want a leak. Went back next day and moved rooms. So while I was eventually sorted I was disappointed with the initial response — I don't believe you should give a defective room to a guest. Still, back to the staff — they were still great.

Amazing hotel. Booked in advance and got a great price on a room for 1 night. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, fantastic building. We got great late offer from Last Minute and then got upgrade to executive room. Room was very nice. We used the spa facilities too — pool, sauna, etc. All very well set up.

The facility itself is fine — don't expect luxury, but it'll do for a couple days' business stay in London. What I take exception to is the communication — we called in and told them we'd be in super early and would like to use the room to shower, etc and they said they would make a note and accommodate us. I even called and confirmed. Then when we arrived it was a different story with tons of excuses and attempts to change the story, "no what they actually told you was … " even though they weren't part of the conversation. We came back later to find that our room's view was basically the breakfast area. We had to keep the curtained pulled the entire time so we weren't exposing ourselves to the other guests when coming out of the shower. Furthermore, the breakfast lacks so many important things (they won't serve you a sparkling water or soda, you have to go downstairs and pay separately for that) and they have no alternatives to their all pork breakfast meat. Hard to call yourself a 5 star hotel with so many obviously non-customer centric policies. 5 star means I ask for something basic (like whatever I want to drink or eat) and there's no fuss and it's done, not, "well here's how we do it around here and it's certainly not your way". This was, all in all, a disappointment. I think if you just set your expectations at a two or three star hotel, you'll be satisfied.

You can see astonishing view of St Paul Cathedral. Since I went here only to attend events, I did not have a chance to stay here long. However, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. If you fancy a place that located in central London with a good view, this is the place.

Excellent location. In front of the Cathedral of Sant Paul. There's a Normplnyj pool (22 meters) and a spa. Everything is included in the accommodation. Excellent value for money. The view from most of the numbers on the wall is true.

A nice building. The event is catering below average. I have no idea of the rooms.

The view from the 7th floor top bar is great, you can see the St. Paul's cathedral up close and the shard in the skyline. It's still a bit low And views are partly covered by other near high buildings.

Nice and clean hotel Accessibility (4/5) The train and bus stops are just nearby. Less than 3min walk. Cleanliness (4/5) Clean hotel, the towels and shower gels are changed everyday, the toilet and bathtub is very clean as well. Amenities (3.75/5) The hotel doesnt have gym nor swimming pool. They do have a nice cosy lounge at the lobby thou. The room we have is a double queen bed, good and spacious. Just that the TV is rather small for hotel of this quality. The TV channels are pretty good thou. Numerous restaurants and supermart are just nearby. Service (3.75/5) The staff are very friendly, the receptionist was very helpful to help us circle the places of interest and the route to walk. Thou some staffs could be new to the job, like morning call, 2-3 calls by different person informing us of morning calls.

Wonderful environment. Lifts were very slow though and I kept getting lost as no signs. Staff helpful.

Located a stones throw from St Paul's Cathedral, The Grange is an excellent base for touristing around London. The Superior Double Room I stayed in was spacious, clean and well equipped. It featured a large floor to ceiling window which looked out over the cathedral — excellent! Contrary to some other reviews I had read, there was no issue with the climate control for me — the air conditioning ran through the night and kept the room cool. Continental breakfast was included in my rate and was delicious — lots of breads, pastries, meats, fruits, cereals and juices to choose from. Hot pancakes are also served to order, included in the continental breakfast. The staff at the hotel were attentive and helpful and the concierge looked after our bags after we had checked out the following day — very useful! A few small criticisms: only one working lift made for a painfully slow journey down to breakfast; the bar is a bit dated, particularly in its drinks offering; the toilet paper was cheap rubbish you might normally find in motorway services — strange, given the quality of the rest of complimentary products in the bathroom.

Hotel only a stone's throw from St Paul's Cathedral, Thames, and almost all the other where you need to take the subway or a taxi can be reached. Hotel is well-ventilated, and there are many facilities, including many bars, a spa, and many restaurants (including the Benihaha-look it up! ）。 Room quality is very high, very comfortable and spacious. You will pay the expensive fees for this hotel in London, but if you come here to visit the capital of my country, you could do worse. Recommend!

The Grange St Paul's was a nice hotel but having stayed at the Grange tower bridge, it's high standards weren't met but it was nice anyway. The bathroom smelt like the previous occupier had smoked in there and took a number of hours for the smell to leave. It was conviently located and had a small yet scenic walk to and from the hotel and St Paul's underground station.

Great location next to St Pauls, amazing views of it and the skyline from the rooftop bar. Nice rooms although the television could have been better, it is fixed to the wall away from the bed without a flexible bracket. All in all a great stay.

Location, amenities and atmosphere. Plenty of great things to see and eat in near proximity. The gym, with a personal trainer attending, rivals the best. Pool, sauna and steam room included. Lots of fancy people at various events make the place welcoming and sociable. Breakfast is over-priced and mediocre, but it does the trick. Would stay again.

Lovely weekend break spent here, very efficiently run even when busy with plenty of staff. A few little extras were thrown in which you'd have to pay for elsewhere, but that's what makes it 5 star. Comfy beds, good breakfasts, overall worth paying for.

I was lucky enough to be invited to attend an event at The Grange and we were in the event space closest to St Pauls. The view is phenomenal and is the perfect place to host a drinks reception. All of the staff were very polite and extremely efficient.

What is left behind in the 4 days stay is actually only disappointment, and this on all levels. Insanely long wait, finally from unexplained reasons for placement outside — without the use of any Services. Every day defective cards! All in all just a disaster!

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

The staff was very helpful and eager to help. We stayed for a night and had a lovely room with a really nice view.

Stay here regularly if the price is right (Grange Hotels frequently pop up half-price as "secret hotels" on Lastminute. Com, and it's usually fairly easy to figure them out). Fantastic location, modern accommodation, good pool and leisure facilities. But as with all the Grange Hotels, I wouldn't class this as a true 5 star hotel. They make sure they tick all the boxes, but stop right there. The rooms are nice but unexceptional, as is the service. But book it on the assumption that it's actually a good 4 star hotel, and pay accordingly, and you won't be disappointed.

Nice looking hotel, but the drinks are expensive, the beds hard as a rock, and the maids or the hotel systems keep resetting the room temperature to 23 degrees. Every day I knock out down a few degrees to sleep, but when I get back the thermostat is set up to 23 again. Not a good temperature for sleeping.

Modern, elegant and extremely well cared for, just a few steps from St Paul's Cathedral and the City.

Party was double booked and sent elsewhere. I stayed here and this is no where near a five star hotel. Overbooking, moldy apple for breakfast, lipstick on coffee cups, rude staff, smokey room. You name it it has everything you'd expect from a 2 star motel.

Stayed for 1 night and got a great deal on the superior room, which was cheaper than some budget hotels in the area. The hotel is modern with a lovely central atrium which the rooms overlook. As the room was on the inside of the atrium, it was extremely quiet. The bed was so comfy, it was hard to leave. The rooms are stylish with a bath which was welcome after a day sightseeing. The bar area was nice and staff friendly. Will stay again.

Large Event Review Perhaps it was just the event I attended and their organisers but with a large group that filled up the entire lower level, during the lunch session there wasn't nearly enough space available to eat. The Wi-Fi login was also a bit of a mystery but after asking some of the hotel staff I found out the guy in the cloak room had the password.

We stayed here one night from Saturday 8th to Sunday 9th February and it was practically the same price as nearby (Southwark located) Ibis and Novotel options for a great 5-star hotel in an excellent location. Continental breakfast was included (with smoked salmon). All in all a good choice. Practically the only criticism I could offer is the spotty Wi-Fi coverage and the fact that some of the lifts were out of order. Staff were polite and helpful.

Fair value for money/location.

Although you already caught us slightly older, it is a great choice for Eloise London cheap. Very clean and tidy and in a fantastic location, 1 minute from St Paul's, sales to 25 pounds per person night. If booking with time you can even get private rooms for two people, who have two beds, one of them big. The showers and bathrooms could be better, all shared.
