Nice hostel. Rooms are clean as well as the building. Some may think are small, but you just have the necessary for sleeping after a long day in London. Beds have each a lamp and usb connectors for charging, so don't worry about adapters. Breakfast is really good and tasty, you can have a variety of things to choose and for sure you won't be hungry in a while. Staff are really nice, they let you leave your things in the storage room if you arrive before check-in. The location is good for visiting the cathedral, although if you want to visit the Big Ben or Buckingham Palace, those are far away, but there is a metro station really close so it is not a problem to go directly to those places.

Not bad for a youth hostel, the service was great, and they accommodated our large group of 44 people. My family of eight had our own private bedroom, but we did share a bathroom which didn’t seem to be a problem. The place is relatively clean for a hostel. Best part about this was the location, you cannot beat the location of this hostel! We enjoyed several evenings sitting on the steps of Saint Paul before we returned for the evening to bed.

Great place to stay for a hostel. Rooms are super clean and it has good food. Nice showers, small toilets. But can't beat the price. Not like a hotel, but it's also not a hotel. Good place to stay.

The hostel looks really good and has an amazing crew. There's no elevator, but that wasn't an issue for me. The main problem I had was that my room was the nearest to the Cathedral, which rings its bells every 30 min, so sleeping was almost impossible.

Booked a 4 bed private room with a couple of friends. The room was clean and tidy nd what I expected. The staff were absolutely amazing. So kind and friendly and always seemed to very happy to help.

One of the better hostels I've stayed in. Efficient and friendly staff. Very clean. Well organized. Excellent location. And good value. Each bunk is equipped with a power outlet and USB ports. YHA London St Paul's is also a good option if you have an early outbound flight and don't want to splurge on a hotel room when you'd only be using it for a few hours.

Organisation of rooms was altered for our group on a couple of occasions and the staff at the desk were unsure of the size of rooms which made the first evening hard work. The food in the morning was great and packed lunches provided. Rooms not great. Couple of items left in some rooms from previous guests.

It is a ideal hostel for students on study trip. Well located to explore London.

Cheap, good location, clean and friendly staff.

My favourite London hostel and as always in any YHA, the room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy and the ambience was friendly. I booked a few days in advance and found a bargain, so treated myself to a private room for 2 nights. This place has character and you get to tell the time by listening out for the cathedral bells. The only downside is the lack of a kitchen for guests to use. The carrot cake on the coffee and cake deal was delicious. I'll be back!

A few baths per head the administration leaves a lot to be desired and are adamant we pay a day more by error and they would not transfer the payment to another reservation.

Nice tidy and simple for the money paid. All you can eat breakfast was delicious. 2 minute walk from Black Friar's tube station and a beautiful view of St Paul's Cathedral.

I was not impressed by the hostile customer service of Winnie. It marred what I thought was going to be a relaxing stay. No qualms with other staff who were kind. But, having stayed at some great places in the past, and having enjoyed good conversations with guests during this stay, it left me feeling unhappy. Customer service should always, always be friendly, particularly when the individual on the other side of the counter, the customer, is always polite and courteous.

We found it to be quite comfortable for a Hostel. The bathrooms were always very clean, as are the showers. What we found strange is that there is not a kitchen to use, as in the other hostel. The Wifi signal is very poor. The care is very good, workers very friendly.

Very cheap for London — very central, very friendly staff.

It is in a good location. It is close to downtown on metro. 5 minutes from the metro St Pauls. The rooms are very cosy and the staff very friendly. The Wi-Fi does not reach to the room… and there is only 1 bathroom and 1 shower per floor… so if you have an emergency and you are busy tap find another or wait. Haha
The breakfast are about 6£ and you can take what you want (what you offer). Personally, if you're not a great lover of scrambled eggs and this type of food, I recommend breakfast at another site. They have different dishes for dinner. The nachos very good and ideal for 2 people.

The trip I did just that and a little to the expectation. Had not previously made a trip rooming in a hostel of this kind, and with a shared room. What is certain is that the adventure has been a success. It has been a pleasure to know in the service of the place, especially I did come across a peasant named Pilar. Very nice and available in all, very grateful. The people of the hostal is very normal. All very friendly, of all ages, and there were some, even, who dared to make little group and throw a few games of cards before bed. There are lockers that you can put a lock. The beds are comfortable and with plugs for charging the phone on a small table/shelf to the side of each bed. Are comfortable. The shower is fantastic and very clean. You can eat out or buy snacks and drinks. Also padlocks, towels, and adapters for the plugs. They have maps and also tourist routes, and a living room very quiet with a library where you work, read or study. Fantastic. For all this and more, I give him five stars.

Very good location and good rooms.

I was invited to a conference room here when I was an extra in the TV show first dates. The place in general was a nice place and looked clean and tidy, the meeting room was really cool with a proper fire place! From the other reviews it clear that for a central London place to stay it's pretty cheap and worth it. I would definitely book the meeting rooms if I need.

Very good experience, friendly and welcoming place, in addition to being financially accessible and well placed.

We had a private room and really liked it. The rooms are great, the toilets and showers clean. The water in the shower smelled slightly though, and the bells of the Cathedral were very loud (and rang throughout the whole night, every hour or so). Apart from that it's a nice hostel, and perfectly in the center.

Great location and very helpful staff. It's an affordable place to stay if you're on a budget. The only complaint is how easy it was to hear everyone in the building. I am a light sleeper and had trouble staying asleep. All in all, I did enjoy my visit. A good central location for the frugal traveller.

Very nice and clean. Restaurant is pretty decent and they have a 24h shop for essentials. Location is pretty good for tourist attractions but not the best for partying. Internet is not great except in the lobby. The other con is that there is no self catering kitchen. Other than this I would definitely recommend.

Perfect central location near to public transport and good restaurants (try jo's kitchen) would've been 5 star save the bells at St Pauls… that bong every hour… all through the night.

Very cheap accommodation in the heart of London, right next to St. Paul's Cathredal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Honored building, small rooms but clean. If you just want to stay, no problem. On the subject of sleeping, however, it is important to remember that the bells of the cathedral next door are of course hitting regularly, even at night…

All very friendly here and helpful. The location is perfect. Breakfast is like, well … But the coffee and the hot chocolate for just 2, 25£ mega delicious, it is ️. Our 3 children and 2 adults feel very comfortable here.

The best Hostel, very london.

Yha st. Paul's is nice from the outside but it has rooms… that look nothing like on the website. I was quite shocked. The room is just the size of the bed?! (Double bed room) I think for that price I could get something with enough space to fit my suitcase in. Now me and my friend have to open our suitcases by putting them on the bed. No space to unpack anything. Also I was not impressed by the shower. I don't have Klaustrophobia but in that shower I get klaustrophobic. +++ ONE STAR because of the staff. Everyone is really really nice, even if they could not help us with our room. The breakfast is okay. The coffee is very good. I'm from Germany. Coffee is my religion. +++ another star because they have a good service where they help you with tickets and they even book and print them for you.

If you stay here in the summer, be sure to ask for a fan. Even if outside temps drop to cooler temps in the evening, the rooms on any level above 1 remain unpleasantly airless & warm all night. Because windows are only opened a small bit (I understand why this cannot be changed), very little draw pulls in cooler air from outside. Small fans at the window would solve this easily & inexpensively. Heaven help you if the day temps are above 20/70. The hallways and shower/toilet facilities are very warm. At 3 am I tried to cool off a bit at a 3rd floor landing window that was open further, having turned off the light switch at that door. Exits were still clearly lit by the exit signs and light from the next corridor. A staff member promptly arrived to turn the light back on, so the security feed is being monitored which is a plus. I do wonder why the switches have no signage to not turn the lights off, if it is for safety to leave lights on. The corridors are very bright, if you pop out of your room during the night to spend a penny, you will be quite awake instantly. The multiple key-accessed security doors make it tricky to share the single allotted room key. (I recommend paying the £5 deposit per additional key to help with this). The security doors restrictions are not uniform. Several teenage girls in our group were in a room that only required key access from the main entry of the property & their actual door.

Good location, very clean. I really liked the detail of having a usb connection for charging electronic devices on the beds. We got a very competitive price. It is a very good option.

3 days without internet for a supposed problem… then the network does not reach the rooms, you have to go down to the lobby…

If I could I would give — stars, because of unfriendly staff, very small rooms, loud ventilation shafts on the walls of the beds, no ventilation at the showers, unsanitary plumbing, no punctual adherence to agreed meal times, very slow Food edition, feeling of a psychiatric institution due to the many sealed doors, separate hallways accessible only by room card, only one key card per room (even at 10s), mold in the upper left corner in room 25, not Eat enough present despite "All you can eat. " In summary, a very bad stay, the highlight was the Mc Donalds nearby.

A very economic price in-room for 6. And the location is perfect. What's wrong with the shared shower that are a little scarce. I will repeat it again. The staff is very friendly and will try to fix everything.

A good hostel, was my first experience as a traveler and the truth I really liked, while the bathrooms are small, but each room has its own bathroom and you don't need to be in the corridors in towel running and waiting for you to be able to swim.
The breakfast is very good, especially the English breakfast which in fact is buffet, so you can eat everything you want you. There is a small section to relax, a room, and you can take books to read if you like, or you can leave a book that your take and exchange it for some shelving.

Great place to stay! Nice rooms and excellent breakfast! If you want to spend the week in the middle of London, this is the place to stay! And you are 3 minutes away from the nearest tube station and shops! What could be better?

The location is great, right across the street from St. Paul's. There is a minus to it — bells ring every hour and don't let you sleep at night. The food is alright, the rooms are clean.

I've been this year (February 2016) and the truth is that I liked. It is the typical old hotel but my I like. Rooms for 2 persons are well. They are bunk beds but well. Although the bathroom is shared there is much cleaning washers van every day. The perfect location! There is Wi-Fi on the ground floor free. The staff very friendly. If you need to leave your luggage in the baggage area there is no problem. He would not mind returning to this hotel.

It was attractive and the rooms were to standard as described. The environment was very friendly and I enjoyed my stay.

It was the choice for a group trip with friends at economical price. I found the expected price, multiple rooms without room service. The buffet dining experience was the best of the hostel. Recommended only if you look for a backpacking experience.

I am Brazilian woman, I was hosted 20 yars ago, I loved it all. Very nice. Thanks por everything. I will again this year.

When we checked in everything was OK, the staff was friendly and everything seems to be okay. But when we entered our 4-bedroom we were shocked! The beds were small and uncomfortable and everything was quiet dirty. We do not recommend!
