Our family and friends stayed at this location from 3 am on Saturday July 7, til Sunday July 8. We were still charged for 2 nights and it was a hassle checking in even after I made a reservation. The room was ok. But Housekeeping charge was $10/day. I have never had to pay separate for housekeeping. There were not enough towels and they were dingy. I sure hope the next extended stay hotel has better amenities.

The tub had hair, lent, and dirt in it and the wash cloth that they used was still hanging up in the shower. The sink still had tooth paste both in the sink and on the sink. Unfortunately for me, it was late by the time I got in and the made was already gone luckily I had Lysol wipes and I wiped down the sink and toilet. But I refused to take a shower in that nasty tub. The management was already gone for the night. The next morning I spoke to management about my experience. They immediately sent the maid up to clean the tub for me. As a courtesy they offered a full refund. But I decided I wanted another night. So they offered a free night in a brand new room and I took it. The only reason I didn't score a one is because the maid agreed with me and told management that it was dirty, and management was very apologetic and nice, they took full responsibility.

No VH1, No MTV, No Lifetime only 10 channels! This is an out door hotel not indoor so you will have to deal with noise traffic, cars, people talking loud, banging on doors and everthing else. No dishes, pots or silverware in your dirty ass kitchenette. You have to request it from the office and they are suppose to bring it to you but you will have to constantly call to request it then they will ask you to come get it even though the flyer in the rooms says they will deliver it to you. You have to drive to the office because the lazy front desk workers will keep lying saying they will bring it. The free breakfast is at the front office on a small table which is only muffins. Your room will smell like cigarettes even though it suppose to be non smoking. The room is dirty kitchen still filthy from the last guest. Bring your bleach and lysol! Please choose the other extended stay on Broad not this one.

Place is very nice, but I have been there for almost a week and no one has vacuumed my room or brought clean towel. I had to was them myself along with my sheets. I dont mind cleaning up after myself but I am paying for thing to be done while im at work.

Clerks were very polite… motel was half star. Breakfast was laughable, first room they gave us didn't even have a bed in it. (Seriously) second room had a non functional sink.

I just needed to get away for the night for some peace and quiet! Served my needs for a place I could chill, get a hot shower, and sleep in peace.

Good value for the price and clean but loud especially in the morning and definitely dated.

This I suppose to be a non-smoking facility, but we kept getting strong smoke in our room; like every time I went into the bathroom and turned on the fan. Our friend, so stayed in the room next to us had to make 3 visits back to the office to get a key that worked. The 'breakfast' consisted of coffee (no decaf), instant oatmeal packets, mini muffins, and sugary granola bars. There are a few dishes and things for the kitchen available from the office upon request.

The location was easy to navigate from i-64. The room I stayed in was really clean and the bathroom was clean too! Very comfy bed and slept like a log. The suite overall was nice, however no cups were provided like other hotels.

Located near shopping and restaurants, it was easy to find. Stag was great. Wi-Fi was a little slow but hotel was full. Dishes/pots/pans sets were clean as were beds and linens. Extra pillows in middle of the night were no problem and with laundry staff on premises after desk crew went home, there was still someone on call all night.

Renred a room and the door wouldnt close cause of the lock. So I requested a different room. The room smelled odd. But was comfortable. Excelent location.

While reasonably priced, the amenities and general upkeep could certainly use some work. There was no housekeeping done during our stay for no apparent reason. On multiple occasions, unleashed dogs roamed the premise. Overall, not bad for the price.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at. First room was filthy. Overflowing trash can, wet towels, dirty commode etc. Food crumbs everywhere. They gave us another room. The second room smelled and had a filthy uncleaned commode. I have drug worse refrigerators to the curb before. How anyone could ever rate this place higher than crappy is beyond me. I have stayed in plenty of low end hotels and while they were no frills at least they were clean. Do not stay here!

The first room I was put in wasn't clean… sheets were on the floor. The second room only had 1 working light switch. Staff was very nice and apologetic but better maintenance is a must. Nobody was there at checkout and breakfast was over at 9 am.

Disgusting place, disgusting staff, Dumb management. Wish I could give this dump a negative five. Ladies, your safety is at risk here. Management allows staff & maintenance guy to be rude & disrespectful. This was the worst hotel experience!

The perfect place to stay during my recent business trip. Large, clean, nicely appointed rooms, friendly staff, many amenities.

I stayed here during a corporate training that lasted a month. The staff is friendly and very helpful. It is one of the nicest Extended Stay America's I've stayed in. It's conveniently located next to great restaurants (within walking distance), some nice night spots, Short Pump Mall is about 1.5 miles down the road, and some strip malls within walking distance also.

Door was incredibly hard to open, thought it was broken at first. Bathroom door constantly stuck. Mystery light switch at door, no idea what it controlled, but it definitely wasn't for a light to help you get in at night. But the room was clean and the AC worked great and kept the room cool.

Room was good. Initially they gave a room which was not cleaned. The alternate room was good.

The MGR refused to take my call for 3 days and instead of helping me with my concerns of finding drug paraphernalia in the room, being given a room with broken furniture and missing chairs, and needing housekeeping… she phoned the police. The Henrico police helped me pack up and get out and felt troubled they were called because MGT couldn't help a guest staying with child at their property.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Although the ad advertises newly renovated rooms, our was dated rooms and filthy. The staff and manager are horribly rude.

Horrible experience on first day. The front desk incharge who was short handed on Saturday when I checked in along with my wife and 3 yr old. We had a long overnight flight from California to Virginia and we wanted to crash in. To our horror we found no utensils in room so my wife called front desk asking for utensils. The guy said he doesn't have any for the day as hotel was booked full. He said he cannot provide any utensils to cook and eat for that night and that he will try to arrange something for Sunday. When I was told about this, I called him and he said same thing to me. Additionally he offered a day refund when I did not budge. And then the next step — he said you are free to move out. Tried calling reservation help desk but lady said she cannot do anything as the front desk guy is only help I could get. - After spending 2 hrs in room without food, water as there was not even a glass, the guy comes in with sry — basic set of utensils. I had told him I would give a great review for him. He brought in remaining utensils which they advertise in flier. Right now as I write this review my wife said there are hardly any options for breakfast. Horrendous experience. Stay as far as away from this horrendous experience.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The room was filthy. I mean I had to lysol wipe the floors and counters twice because they clearly hadn't been cleaned since the supposed renovation. The sheets are stained and still had glitter on them from the previous tenant. We found a rancid pillow under the bed, covered in hair of many different origins. The toilet still had a used napkin on the top of it. While the fridge was clean, it was nearly as old as I am. Management said there was new appliances but the only new thing in this room is the TV and microwave. The mattress is cheap and uncomfortable. My back is killing me after staying here a week, and I'm in my 20s! There wasn't a coffeemaker in the room, as the website says there would be. The room didn't have a full set of dishes. I cleaned the room knowing that the other rooms would be just as dirty. When I came home after work, I was inexplicably locked out of my room. I confronted the manager, only to be BLAMED for the conditions of the room and being locked out. Shamika, the manager, said there was nothing they could do about it. Staff was completely useless when we asked for toilet paper for the room. The lazy staff member told me I had to buy my own. When I asked a guy in house-keeping about it, he said that was "BS" and handed me a roll. NOT TO MENTION: the second night of our stay, we had to call the police because a man was beating his girlfriend and children.

We stayed here along with the rest of our team for Nationals TKD Tournament this week. The kitchenette was the draw for us to help eat healthy and cut down on overall expenses. The rooms were dirty. The rugs have probably never been steam cleaned. Shoes were necessary at all times. My room wasn't ready until about 6pm and I wasn't compensated for the loss of hours in the room missed. I also found a used, opened, covered with dirt shampoo bottle left right on top of the new, clean bath mat. It was gross. I also didn't appreciate the sloppy appearance of the front desk staff. One had on a dress shirt while another came out with a ripped sleeve tshirt. Our rooms were all supposed to be close together. After several reminders and being told by management that our room would be closer to my parent's room, I was finally checked in only to be told my room was on the opposite side of the building from the rest of our team. Poor management. Poor communication to patrons. The worst cleaning I've ever seen. Very disappointed.

I like the hotel, but I didn't like the fact that I had to bring my dirty towels down to the office in order to receive clean towels. Also I feel I will never stay at this hotel again until their cleaning policy changes, I was told and experience the housekeeping will not re-clean or the room if occupied for seven day of my visit… I can understand this hotel doing lite cleaning… But not clean the rooms for seven day and bring dirty towels to the office in order to receive clean towels… I felt like I was doing there staff job… Too much work for me.

There's a really sweet female in the office on weekends, but the rest of the staff are affable, but completely useless. I complained for a week about my shower barely working (rumbling and pipes shaking), little pressure, barely usable and got nothing but lip service. Someone would be there tomorrow, etc. No in-house maintenance staff? Also, Wifi was constantly up and down. All in all, nice enough people, but no one actually DID anything to fix my issues. At all. I am checking out tomorrow and NO ONE has even contacted me about the damned shower. I reported it last week! Oh, and there is no hotel information book in the room, nothing. One has no idea when check-out is, where facilities are located, who to call after 11pm in case of problems or a lockout. That is SOOOO easy to fix, folks. Just make them up and put them in EVERY room.

It smells like cigarettes im a non-smoking room and has bugs in it, also nothing had been dusted.

We stayed at this hotel during a job relication in October 2014. Three times I complained to management about the moldy smell coming from the a/c unit. Finally after two weeks they had the maintenancd man work on the unit. When he took it apart the chlorine tablets they were supposed to put in the sump in the unit were bot there. These old a/c units do not bring fresh air into the rooms, they just recirculate your old air. Likewise, they do not tdrain moisture which collects in the bottom of the unit. It just sits there until it evaporates back into your room. The problem is that mold can grow and be blown back out. My six year old French Bulldog had a severe rraction to the mold. I took her to a veterinarian who could not save her. She died from a severe autoimmune raction to the toxins. When I askef the front desk manager to have the hotel geberal manager or regional manager call me, no one would respond. I purchased a molf test kit, gathered a sample of the air in my room and sent it to the lab. At the end of the month I moved out. Fot the next three months I made multiple attempts to discuss the issue with someone in authority at Extended Stay America's corporate headquarters in North Carolina, but no one would respond to calls or emails. When I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Charlotte, someone from customer relations did call me to gather the facts. They promptly dismissed my complaint and reoprted thed case closef without even investigating.

Horrible will never stay there again.

This hotel is fine for the price, definitely no frills. The rooms are clearly older and have not been remodeled in a very long time, probably not decades. That being said, they are at least reasonably clean. When I checked in, the first room I received smelled of smoke, so I called the front desk and got the room switched. I only stayed for one night so I didn't experience the room service or check out any of the household items like plates or utensils. Overall it was an ok stay, as long as you know what to expect.

Horrible. Disgusting rooms. Terrible customer service. No regard what so ever for guests. Terrible management and incompetent hotel staff. Sketchy guests and sketchy rooms.

Good place for extended stay.

The good: Price, location near shops and food (walking), felt safe, quiet for the area, internet was fast, kitchen and everything was clean. The bad: The bed was really lumpy. I could actually feel each spring in the bed (king size). There were ants, and silverfish in the room. The air was either really cold or hot, but it was a floor unit, so…, grout in tile was moldy. Overall it was okay. I stayed there last year and it was much better. They really need to update the beds, carpet, and grout in the tiles. I would say look at Candlewood near this place before you make a final decision. (It's usually only 10$ more)
