Clean rooms, anything you want within walking distance. Restaurants within steps of its front doors. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay! Beds were so comfortable, service was great! Room was ready early so we had access before lunch! Also, late checkout at no cost til 2pm! Very clean, spacious and trendy! Walking distance to many good eateries and activities. Highly recommended!

Always a pleasure whenever I have guests in town, need a night away, or have ongoing repairs in my house. This dog friendly location is perfect! The staff is wonderful and very helpful.

I stayed here because my family had to evacuate because of the tropical storm. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I appreciate the fact that there was no extra fee for having our fur babies with us. It was modern and neat with so many restaurants and shopping centers nearby. My only complaint was that there was hair on our bed, sink, and shower that was left from a previous guest. Other than that, It was a great experience.

Really cool hotel, reminiscent of some of the upscale places I've stayed at overseas, pool room layout was really cool, as was the actual hotel room setup. Super close to some great restaurants and right down the road from Short Pump Town Center. The front staff were super polite. The room was clean only a few very minor things if you REALLY scrutinized every square inch but that's not why you stay in a hotel, you stay to sleep and relax and this is a great place to do that for a great price. The bed was SOO comfy and the room smelled good and didn't have that stuffy smell a lot of hotel rooms have. My wife and I loved the big glass walk-in shower! the huge mirror and the multi-media TV docking station were some other neat features! Definitely would stay again and see their other locations!

Welcoming and friendly : made me feel comfortable while staying for two nights with two large dogs. Good location and convenient parking.

Great customer service. They comped half our stay due to the AC being out in our room. We would have changed rooms, but it was late when we found out and we were tired. The beds were very comfortable and there was very little ambient noise from the other rooms.

They are clearly trying to improve the hotel. They were installing new air conditioners the day I arrived. The problem was they weren't completely broken in, and water was dripping from the ceiling. The staff was great though, and moved me to a new room. The room was pretty good, with comfortable beds. Connecting to the Wi-Fi is really difficult if you are on anything other than a windows PC. They do have a tech support number however, and they can add your device directly with it's mac address.

The room is nice and clean but I’m on the floor above the lobby and the noise from the packed bar and some rec area like the pool where there were large quantities of kids who were so loud it sounded like a pep rally past 1am kept me from sleeping for much of the night. Truly miserable. Not a quiet peaceful hotel.

Overall disappointing. Rooms don’t get cool, a/c stops at 68 feels like 78. Blow dryer died in the middle of using. Bathroom floors not clean. Front desk staff was nice but they don’t have to sleep in the rooms.

I haven't stayed there. Just checked early and went to my room. The check in experience was very pleasant. The rim is beautiful. I won't actually get back to the room until really late was very happy to be able to get checked in early.

Holiday Inn Express w/ different room configuration and fewer amenities. Wi-Fi connections issues unacceptable and constant. First and last time as patron.

The area surrounding was great! The shops and restaurants were awesome. The hotel, not so much. It felt unclean and outdated. The AC didn’t work. When I called down to tell them, was treated like an idiot… ”is it on the snowflake or the sun? ” Yes, it was on the snowflake and yes, it was on. “Well, if it doesn’t work soon, all I can do is move you. ” At that point, never mind. I slept in a somewhat comfortable bed, sweltering. Had to ask for the Arf kit, which didn’t have a bed, or treat. Included a bowl and ball. The sliding door for the bathroom was grinding against the table. The shower door didn’t close all the way. The fridge was so loud it sounded like it was dying a slow excruciating death. Don’t think I’ll be back…

How, in 2018, can there be no USB plugs in a room in order to charge things like phones. I don't always carry around the electrical plug for my phone. For a chain that is marketing itself as a hip, modern style this missing amenity was noted. The hotel itself is nice and well decorated but with some many other cheaper brands offering USB ports in the room they deserve a down grade for this alone.

Loud and noisey! If you want a good nights sleep bypass this place. Up all night from 11pm with people running up and down the hall all night, drunk people sloshing around the hallways at 2am. When and if you get to sleep, housekeeping and hotel staff are loud as all get out unconcerned about people sleeping. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Room was okay but clean. Hotel could use a little rehab in the hallways and elevator areas. Not much interaction with staff so I can’t ateest to that, but noise level throughout the hotel is a hot mess!

I went there Tonight and managers allowed underage teens in there rooms without adult supervision. Gave them masterkeys to access any available rooms and no adult supervision. Not thinking about the consequences POLICE were called at the sceen.

Modern. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Great and safe location. They have a bar and a nice little lobby will a pool table. Staff was nice. The 150$ I paid fit the place.

My daughter and I have stayed at this Aloft several times and always enjoy our stay. The rooms are comfortable and the service is consistently good. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Aloft is usually our first pick when available.

Location was great close to shopping and restaurants. Room layout was cool, beds and pillows comfortable. But shower had soap scum moldy caulking replaced some grout, and bath floor needed swept. Toilet also kept getting stuck giggling handle didn't work I had to take the back off and push the thing down. Everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. Pool is ok but the room was cold so you froze when you got out of the water.

The room was clean and modern and the amenities were very nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shower did not drain well and would overflow the short wall and spill onto the bathroom floor.

This was the first time I've stayed at aLoft. The staff was very nice. It was a decent size room and fairly comfortable, but I didn't like the fact that the shower only had a hand held wand and did not have grippers on the tile floor where the water was and since it was a total walk in shower, the floor didn't slope to the drain enough for the water to not pool up around the commode.

This is my favorite hotel chain because they use products from Bliss. I am obsessed with the lemon lotion and also the bath soap, so much so that I bought an empty travel container to fill up for future trips (don’t judge). The shower is ah-may-zing. The beds are on the firm side and have great pillows. The only thing that I deduct a star for is no free breakfast — it’s grab and go and pay out the butt for it in the lobby. The whole hotel is basically a chic, trendy one geared towards the younger traveler. Last night they had salsa lessons and a dance party in the lobby — had I not been going to a concert I’d have checked it out and got my Latin groove on. It’s located in a really cool town center with lots of restaurant options for a true meal. On the weekend there is a brunch at the Whole Foods which I will be checking out when I drag myself out (which is not any time soon). I’d definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was a fun hotel for our family of 4. Upon arriving, my two preteen boys were excited by the modern look and the pool table in the lobby. Our room was similar. Cool funky layout with a view of the street below for people watching. Nice green place next door for dogs to run. Many close amenities within walking distance. And less than an hour to Carter Mountain. Only reason for 4 stars is that the hotel is geared toward the party crowd and Friday night was a bit loud. Would have been nice to have a fan to drown out the noise some, but we found an app for that!

One star because the bed is super comfortable and because I can't issue a negative star. Stay was awful. First, key cards were turned off multiple times and we were unable to get into our room. Come to find out other reservations under a similar last name were being charged to my account deactivating our keys and ultimately charging my debt card an additional 300 dollars. Secondly, walls are paper thin. After getting in nearly 0100 am after arguing the additional charges we were woken up by conversation from rooms on either sides of us regarding average costs of salt and pepper shakers and daily bowel movements. Simple conversations should not be able to penatrate walls so clearly in a hotel at all, let alone one claiming to be such quality. Finally after the departure of the neighboring tenants we attempted to sleep an additional hour but the pet friendly hotel lead to yelping/crying mini dogs next door that staff could do nothing about. Hugely disappointed in the visit and quality of the establishment.

This hotel was very clean, well kept and well decorated. The staff was also very nice. However, the rooms are quite small compared to other local hotels and the process of getting to your room is a bit of a pain. You must take one elevator to the lobby then walk through the lobby to another elevator which will then take you to the floor of your room.

I didn't stay here, but I attended a meeting. The music in the lobby area was so loud we could hear it with the conference room doors closed (though the front desk attendant turned it down when I asked). The Wi-Fi was slow. Really slow. Conference rooms chairs are uncomfortable. The trash cans in the lobby coffee area and restrooms are not emptied often enough. I was surprised at all these things, as I'd heard this was a nice place. It has a very low-end feel to it.

The lady at the front desk was very sweet we were greeted very warmly when we arrived. The room was very nice. Only thing I didn't like was the pillows on the bed. They didn't have enough support for your head and neck they go flat as soon as you rest your head on them. All than that the bed itself was comfortable.

Perfect for a quick business trip. Very good, simple acomodatismos, hotel lobby is very nice and rooms are very comfortable. The best part is the little village that the hotel is in with many restaurants in walking distance. Very convenient with a business team of 4 and close to corporate HQ locations.

Common areas are modern. The free coffee available in the AM is very good, I mean Starbucks good. Best hotel coffee, I've ever had. Rooms were modern an comfortable. Very satisfied with this visit. One compliant, it got loud at the Irish pub outside. Some moron was revving motor cycle engine at 1am. Wasn't the hotels fault, but they didn't necessarily do anything to stop it either. Therefore 4 stars.

This is a great hotel with the most comfortable bed. The room is modern and the atmosphere is awesome. Free salsa lessons at my stay. Couldn't give 5 stars because they penny pinching breakfast like all the hotels are starting to do.

The were so many things to love about staying inAloft!
The color scheme, furniture placement, use of space, widemouth trash cans, tile choice in the bathroom. On the walls and floor. Also opaque window for natural lighting in the shower … was a real treat! Super easy to check in and check out friendly outgoing bar tender! Really enjoyed my experience, almost forgot the really find bumpy soap!

Nice place to catch some sleep. Our room faced the street so the noise from the bars bled into the room a bit. The bed was super comfy and overall I would definitely stay here if I find myself in the area again.

Our room was given away and I was expected to sleep on an air mattress for 4 days for almost $200 per night. Staff didn't care. Supposedly no other rooms there or anywhere local, not that they tried to check. No dresser drawers, no closet to hang clothes, no towel bar, no latching or locking bathroom doors, access only from parking garage elevator, very difficult bringing bags in, manager not on site, follow up from manager never happened as promised.

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff as per usual. I could feel the coils in the matress a bit though. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

AC was broken so was moved to another room on second night. Have to go up two elevators. I would consider staying here again as this is equivalent to most of the it we hotels quality in the area.

Very nice hotel! Friendly staff! Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Easy on and easy off interstates 64, 295, and 288. Pool inside. Bar inside and social events at the bar on weekends and some holidays such as NYE.

I don't know what the other people are complaining about this place is great! There's tons me restaurants and a lovely waterside trail right outside the door! They are so pet friendly too they have treats at check in and don't charge you extra to bring my dog, they even provide water bowls.

I have stayed at the Aloft 3 times for business, and never once been disappointed, but I think it is important to keep in mind this hotel's style. If I had to say "what type of person would most like to stay at this hotel" I would say a young professional. The rooms are modem in design and furniture, and provide amenities such as a docking station where you can plug various electronics into the TV. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom area is kind of combined with the closet / coffee area on the other side of the wall beds go up against. The shower and toilet area closes off from the rest of the room, but otherwise the bathroom is completely open. The doors open with an RF card rather than the traditional swipe-style hotel room cards. The design is minimalist and you will rarely feel that the hotel is "over the top" which is why I say that this hotel is geared towards young professionals. I would not go here if I wanted to feel pampered on a week-long vacation. However, as far as somebody traveling for business, it is a wonderfully pleasant and relaxing stay. And the staff has always been very accommodating and friendly. There is a bar and a pool table in the lobby. The gym is clean and provides a modest selection of equipment, and there is an indoor pool.

Hotel has social events in lobby and bar especially on Friday and Saturday. Was so loud couldn't check in verbally, lady at front desk had to write things down to communicate. Lots of parties in hotel too. Noisy fridge in room. Front desk staff useless.

This rating is based on my conversation with their customer service. They were not very accommodating, and the young man was belittling and put off by my questions/concerns. If this is an indication of their customer service I would recommend not staying here.

We recently stayed here for a weekend get away with some friends. The rooms was nice, small but the beds were really comfortable and the shower was cool. The food in the little breakfast nook they had was decent, but very pricey. The room only came with 3 towels, so we had to call up for more. We received the towels quickly, so that was a plus. The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful, and the hotel was convenient to downtown and all the major stores in Richmond. We enjoyed our stay, could have been a bit better considering it was a starwood preferred guest room, but we would stay again.

It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff is nice, but most people will be friendly to people they expect to get money from. They'll be your friend, and then gouge you two weeks after you leave their motel. They charged me a total of $805 for five nights, and in return, we got a cramped room, NO microwave, a crappy 'coffee pot' that serves one at a time, a refrigerator that kept nothing cold, the walls were paper thin, the bathroom echoed throughout the room and neighbors rooms, and you had to take two elevators to get to your room. They try to make you feel like your in a hip modernized motel where we all gather at the bar and enjoy drinks (we don't drink). I believe that is so they can get you out of the cramped room so you won't have to look at it. They charged us $518.67, which I thought was pretty high for what we were getting (did I mention, no breakfast. Not even continental? ). Then they turned around and removed another $292.32 from our bank account TWO WEEKS after we checked out! No explanation! we didn't even sign a receipt AND they never sent us a receipt! THIS IS FRAUD! they had NO RIGHT going into our bank account and removing money from us because they decide it wasn't enough. DO NOT VISIT THIS MOTEL IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A VICTIM OF THEFT! Do I like this motel (yeah, they call it a hotel, but frankly, I've seen motor hotels that offer more amenities for the price). The area is nice, and I would like to visit it some day.

The duvets were not washed and if they were then appearance must not be a priority. Both I and a colleague of mine had what appeared to be blood and food stains on our duvets and my pillowcases had holes in them. TC and Catherine were very pleasant and accommodating when we contacted them about the matter. Catherine offered to have housekeeping to wash and replace them once they got in which would be about a 2 hour process which we appreciated, however, we still find it unsettling that this wasn't done prior to our arrival. My colleague checked out of her room and ended up bunking in the other bed in my room. It's extremely disappointing to have such a beautiful and modern hotel in such a great location with such disgusting practices. I work in a field in which hundreds if not thousands of college counselors will come through the area at any given time during the fall or spring and we rely on one another for hotel and restaurant referrals and Aloft-Richmond West will not be somewhere that I would refer and would in fact encourage them to cancel their reservations if asked.

When we had checked in, service was usual, very friendly and helpful. We then had help from the manager and was very friendly, and gave us great greetings. As I entered the room, I was already asleep, the beds were pretty comfortable, and there are no dressers, but a closet behind the bed which is much more useful than the dresser, and the area! Although not fully finished/developed, very much to do! Since there was no breakfast, we headed to the Whole Foods Market. My only problem was that the hotel's interior smelled like grease, not a big issue, at least it doesn't smell like that in your room, but it does come from the restaurant I think. And where is the pool, can you Google users answer my question.
