The hotel is located in a great place in town to be able to get around easily. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The pool was a lot of fun and very nice. The shower heads were definitely not designed with a 6-foot something person in mind and the light switches for the bathroom we're not in an intelligent place. However, overall it was a great stay.

This is an older hotel that's a bit aged and well, run down. They do what they can with what they have. Rooms are clean, and rates are inexpensive. You get a decent breakfast, and it's well located to many surrounding areas. You get what you pay for!

Beds where very uncomfortable! Not so good breakfast! Lady at the front desk was way to flirty with my husband! We normally stay here a lot but WE WONT BE ANY LONGER.

Great hotel good service rooms are clean and its pretty easy go anywhere where the hotel is.

Stayed the night yesterday… it is a relaxing place for a night visit or even a couple of days. The rooms were im very good condition and the cleanliness was above expectations. The only ding is for the bathrooms, I'm a big guy and they are not friendly for me, and the water pressure was horrible. But other then that… highly recommend and will be back!

My family & I were driving for 15 hours coming from Lubbock Tx with children. I was looking online at different reviews on hotels/motels in Harlingen Tx & this one caught my attention! I called to book a room. & the man who answered was very nice & helpful with directions to their location. Coming into town at 5am exhausted we were able to check in upon arrival. The lobby was clean & nice. Our room was right in front of the swimming pool! The pool was clean & well maintained. The rooms were perfect! everything working, it was very clean and smelt clean! The beds were soft & comfy good fluffy pillows! We stayed 3 days 2 nights for a good deal! Wish we could of stayed longer! But this will definitely be our hotel stay when we go visit family again! Thank you!

If you are going to stay here make sure the front desk knows what they are doing during check in. I specifically asked for a smoking room, after she changed rooms twice she still gave us the wrong type of room which ended in being charged extra. If I knew it was a non smoking room I could have easily asked my guest to step outside. Not to mention that when you pay, use cash, because when you are hundreds miles away they want to make false claims and charge it to your credit card. I go to Harlingen at least once a month and I WILL NOT USE THIS HOTEL ANYMORE!

Stayed 6 nights. Love it. Not new but they are renovating. Our room was a good size and very clean. Housekeepers were great, very friendly and helpful. Wish we could've stayed longer. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

The hotel was very good, people were very courteous. Close to restaurants and the freeway for travel. I would be happy to come back and stay again.

Older rooms but good. Quiet for being so close to the freeway.

This is our 2nd stay at this hotel. We came back because we were pleased with the rooms and the price. When coming to this area, we will choose it again.

The people here took us in when we were running from Hurricane Harvey. We had 3 dogs with us and they ignored their usual 2 pet only policy so our whole family could flee in our time of need. They even let us check in early since we didn't run into any traffic on the way down. The hotel itself was very comfortable and their breakfast was great, I loved the make your own waffle bar with the Texas shaped waffle iron. I can't thank the staff enough for their overwhelming hospitality.

Wonderful hospitality. Great staff. Superb housekeeping service. Excellent FREE Continental Breakfast choices. Rooms very clean & with good lighting & air conditioning. Nice clean pool. Highly recommend. Plan to stay here, again, next time I'm in Harlingen! Pat Rockford, IL.

The room was ok for the price and so was the location. But, the room did not have enough charging points. There was only one. Also, breakfast options were limited.

More like CHEAP Inn. You get less then you pay for. Room had multiple issues; smell, dirty shower base, old towels, uncomfortable beds, a/c unit didn't work properly and then after trying to explain to upper management, I get insulted with YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO STAY HERE.? This is after I had paid for 3 days and some of the staff tried to accommodate because they knew about the issues. Pay the extra money to stay at a True Quality Inn somewhere else.

There were a few issues in the starting, after a few arguments the issues were resolved. Overall — okay.

Rooms were spacious, clean. Furniture and fixtures were great. Big soft beds. Breakfast and service was excellent.

Average for a LA Quinta, unfortunately as of the 17th this location is no longer a LQ.

You literally have to put a star if not not let me say is a dirt of hotel a fucking deception announce one thing and give another not jala or the coffee maker has neither frigibar or micro and you serve badly.

I went to this La Quinta Inn Harlingen for a break dancing event called Unlucky Breaks hosted by the TX dance crew Floor Obsession. Immediately I was impressed by the clean and polished wooden floor, their set up of chairs for spectators. They also put up more colorful and abstract art that really set the vibe of the space for a fun and silly break dance event! This is definitely great space for all kinds of events.

It was neat and cool :) ) just what we needed.

The front desk was not friendly. In using the lobby restroom I noticed that the staff left the orange juice pitcher in the sink in the bathroom with running water and I noticed that there was waffle batter on the toilet seat. I could only conclude that the dishes were being cleaned in the bathroom. Luckily we left that morning. I placed a complaint with LQ but got a automatic response saying the problem will be taken care of. I always stay at LQ and this was the first problem. Hopefully this is an isolated case.

The cleaning people steal and go thru your things. But otherwise if you bring all your stuff with you while your gone its not bad.

Husband and I stayed at the La Quinta in Harlingen, Texas for four nights in July, 2008. We were very pleased. The hotel room (Room 144) was well appointed, housekeeping did a great job keeping the room clean. The hairdryer worked great and I swear the iron in our room was brand new. The air conditioner worked great, our bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was a nice feature. The waffles are even shaped in the outline of the state of Texas! How fun is that? The hotel is located next to a Dennys restaurant, an H. E. B grocery store and pharmacy. It is an easy walk across the road for food or toiletry items.
