After 3 days of driving to Texas, my family member and I stupidly stayed here. It was a nightmare. First thing I noticed when I stepped into the hotel was that it was very hot, and very run down. When I got into the actual hotel room there was dust and dirt everywhere. I don't think anyone cleans the rooms or the bathrooms. There was something that looked like feces on the shower curtain. I opened up the bed and there was a blood stain on my sheet. I uploaded the photo of it on Yelp. The a/c unit didn't work either. Also, I don't think this hotel has many actual guests. I think families work there and get to live there in return. They were very loud ALL NIGHT, and very inconsiderate of the actual guests. I also heard some sketchy yelling and noises, which leads me to believe there is prostitution/sex trafficking going on in this place. Also, there was a brown recluse spider on my toothbrush. It was pretty horrifying considering I brought a pet, and he could have been hurt by it… BUT HERE'S THE GOOD PART. We decided to suffer through the night at this hotel and managed to stay out the horror moving looking hallways and just watch Netflix. I fell asleep, when at 1 in the morning, an old lady tried getting into my room, and I could hear her asking why she couldn't get in (Why is someone checking into a hotel at 1am? ). Luckily, I locked the door so she couldn't open it the entire way. A few minutes later, security came pounding on the door and the family member with me yelled "Go Away! " He said that he was not leaving, that we did not check into the hotel, and that we needed to come out of the room. It was absolutely insane. We ignored his plea because after driving 3 days to Texas, we just wanted sleep. A few minutes later, a woman at the front desk called the phone. I answered and told her to stop harassing us, that we checked in, and that if they were going to harass us that they needed to give us a refund or find us a new hotel. She said she was not harassing us, and that we needed to leave the room or security would make us. I told her to leave us alone, that it was 2 am, and that what she was doing was wrong. She corrected me and said, "It's not 2am, it's 1am. " as if that was an actual important fact, and an appropriate thing for an employee to do. I could not believe that an employee would act this way. She finally asked my name, I gave it to her, and hung up. Didn't hear anything from the hotel for the rest of the night, and was so afraid of staying that I didn't sleep, and wanted to leave so badly that my family member and I didn't check out in the morning, and we left AS SOON AS we woke up. This was my first impression of Lubbock.
