The place to stay! My favorite hotel of all.

Honestly not sure where all these great reviews are coming from. Staff was great but the hotel left a lot to be desired. Rooms are dingy and don’t seem very clean at all. Some chemical they washed the sheets with made me so itchy. Worst of all, the walls are SO THIN. I was kept up to 2 am every night due to people above me walking around and making noise, and woken up at 6 am by my neighbors making breakfast. I don’t think anyone was particularly loud (I’ve travelled frequently for work so I can handle the usual hotel noise) but this was completely disruptive to any peace and quiet you would desire. Would definitely not stay here again and will be directing anyone I know who is visiting to chose somewhere else considering all the nearby options.

Rooms are clean, large, and well furnished, with a large fridge and microwave. Good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast is better than a typical hotel. The walls are pretty thin, and you can hear planes overhead occasionally, as well as people in the hallway and outside the hotel. The gap under the door and the illuminated outlets make the room a bit bright at night. Housekeeping also attempted to enter despite a Do Not Disturb sign on the door.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff is very nice and the breakfast was tasty. However, room cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired. And, the walls are very thin. I can hear other guests not only outside my door but outside the hotel as well.

Incredible staff, extremely clean and very accommodating. Even with your doggies! I highly recommend this hotel if staying in town is not a priority. (Although, town is just a swift 18 minutes away). Five star review! We had a mishap with our ac and the staff quickly resolved the issue. We're here for almost a week (in the process of moving) with our dog, so I have walked all the grounds — everything is safe, well lit and nicely landscaped. For the reviews complaining about breakfast: breakfast is fine — everything available is not necessarily eye level… But they've got DIY waffles, oatmeal with all the fixin's, bagels, toast (they even have apple butter), muffins, fresh fruit, 4 varieties of greek and regular yogurt, hardboiled eggs, cereal, juice and microwavable breakfast plates, excellent coffee (I'm particular and this is good coffee! ) I have to mention again the staff — crappy service is a deal breaker for me but this hotel is a role model to all hotel staff nationwide. Great job, Home2 Suites North Charleston!

David and Janelle at the front desk were very gracious hosts. The room we had was very nice, more than we hoped for. Breakfast was very good and rooms were clean and well kept. Will definitely stay here again while visiting Charleston. Highly recommended!

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly and greeted me each time they saw me. Salt water pool was clean, a little small but still enjoyable. The only issue I encountered during my stay was the hallway door was broken the day after I arrived and could not be used for entry the rest of my stay. Breakfast had a different selection of hot items each morning, along with the usual cereals, waffles, toast and fruit selections.

They have incredibly friendly and helpful staff here also the breakfast is fairly good. Even though that it's all microwave food, it seems to be fairly high quality and there's a good bit of variety. I especially like the fact that it's not all bread and complex sugars that you have a choice from. There's likes a lot of savory choices to choose from here.

The rooms are great, and provide whatever space you may need in a hotel. Great for family vacations. Full room cleaning claims to be done every 5th night of a person's stay, and I can believe it.

The staff could not have been any nicer. Everyone from the front desk, house keeping, van drivers, all greeted me, and were a pleasure to be around. The suites are not very big, but everything about my room was in working order, and clean. The free breakfast had many good selections. The staff made sure we didn't run out of any thing. Overall it was a great stay.

We had a great stay! Our room was very spacious and it was pristine. The staff was very accommodating and friendly to us and our pup. The breakfast was really good too. Tons of choices. We would definitely stay here again.

It's very good for the low Cost. The rooms were very clean and service came in daily to check on us. The breakfast was average but there needed to be more sitting spaces. The worst thing was the pool. It was freezing and had acorns and leaves in it. Other than that, it was solid.

Lovely hotel:) breakfast could have been nicer tho but everything was clean! Stayed here while on Christmas break with my mom and sis. Best vacation ever.

We are Hilton Honors members and stay at hotels quite often. We like this particular chain because the rooms nicely accomodate our family of 5. The staff at this particular location was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. Even my kids were commented on how great the front staff were. Will definitely stay here again!

Hard to turn left from the hotel. The room was decent and fairly comfortable. My desk chair was really gross and hadn't been cleaned and had several stains of a questionable nature. I like that this Hilton chain had walk in showers. The breakfast was good.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and staff was cheery. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but delicious none-the-less. The oatmeal was amazing.

Great location but it can be easy to drive by. The small size means it's convenient to get in and out of. Room was generally clean but the bathroom wasn't spotless. Breakfast in the morning was good but there isn't much space to have a meal so it's nice that the rooms are spacious enough to bring food back. Being a pet friendly hotel leads to an occasional bark but didn't bother my state at all.

Extremely disappointed! Booked several weeks ago for the weekend. Called today to cancel Friday nights stay but was able to arrive Saturday. Was told I couldn't modify my reservation. Was told it high demand weekend. Which I knew, it's a volleyball tournament, which is why I booked way in advance. So I ended up having to cancel because I wasn't paying for a night I wouldn't be there and booked with a competitor. I have 3 kids in travel sports and will reconsider booking at any Hilton hotels. Still confused as to why I couldn't keep my already booked Saturday reservation and cancel Friday?

Everything was excellent the girls didn't like the waffle mix but it was other things to accommodate them. The room was clean and beautiful. From entering the parking lot to walking inside I was impressed. Thanks for making our stay well worth it.

We are presently staying at Home2 Suites in North Charleston. The staff is great and we are very happy. Just wanted to mention one in particular her name is Nan. She is very knowledgeable about the area and she not only answered all our questions but also gave suggestions for shopping and eating. We will be suggesting this place to family members and friends.

By far the nicest pet friendly hotel we have ever been in. The beds were extremely comfortable (we both have back issues) rooms were clean and spacious, staff was very friendly. We have a daughter at The Citadel, so we are in Charleston frequently throughout the year. I am sure we'll be back!

Room was much larger than expected, while still being affordable. Breakfast consists of sandwiches you can heat up in a microwave and make your own (whole wheat) waffles, plus some fruit and cereal and that kinda stuff. The waffle station was kind of setup off the side, and I didn't notice it in my half awake state. Also didn't have orange juice either morning I was there. Has a salt water pool and fitness center, though I didn't get to test out either of them.

It was good. Staff, especially Tom, was incredible. Housekeepers were sweet and kind. A few minor cleaning and maintenance issues were what stopped me from making it a 5 Would stay again.

Room was clean and spacious. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was somewhat lacking. Eggs that you nuke out of a plastic wrapper are very unappealing. Apple juice was so concentrated that I had to dilute it with water before I could drink it. The whole breakfast was the only down side to an otherwise very favorable experience.

Large room size was very comfortable. Beds are soft and restful. Only one criticism: if you are going to serve breakfast items that require a microwave oven, place more than two microwaves in the kitchen area. Otherwise great lodging experience!

Wonderful experience! I called early to ask if our room would be held for us due to running late. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious. Bed bug covers on the mattresses and box springs were a great plus. Breakfast was phenomenal with yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, Nutella and much more. Coffee could have been better and fresh cream would have been nice, but we will be back!

Standard 3 star hotel. Good location near the Charleston airport. 5 min away. Bed was a bit soft or old. Relatively clean, coffee and waffles were available at 5am which was good.

Third trip here and I will return. I'll describe my experience so it will be a useful review, but first, I want to give credit to two employees who went above and beyond. G. G. Made a friend of my 4 year old at breakfast and he was very fond of her. Greg at the front desk made check in very smooth and pleasant. The extra kindness shown by both of them made me take note to be sure to include in my review. First, I will say that the manager made sure we enjoyed our trip. There were several special touches left for us and it made a possibly stressful trip much more calm and convenient. As another high point, I want to point out the sheets. My most recent hotel stay was in a very high end hotel and the sheets at the Home2Suites were better. Softer and more comfortable. The sleep quality was great — comfortable mattresses, very little noise, and good light reduction from the blinds. There was a night light type feature on the outlet by the bathroom that was a bit bright for my tastes, so I laid my beach bag up against it to block it (I like a very dark room). The staff was very attentive and friendly and the location of this hotel is perfect — convenient to all the things we were trying to get to in Charleston. I had no trouble with anything and found the room to be well-stocked and exactly what we needed. The place was completely booked due to the solar eclipse occurring at the time of our visit and the staff had it all handled.

Easy to locate. Clean parking lot. Very nice, welcoming lobby. Rooms are very nice, comfortable and modern. Housekeeping would receive a 'B'. Front desk, very nice, helpful, friendly ladies. Extremely fast at resolving anything brought to their attention. Breakfast was plentiful with multiple options. Coffee, excellent. Would like to see sugar free options. Free shuttle service. Near Walmart and outlets. Near several places to eat. Close to airport.

New but CHEAP Hilton brand hotel. Not expensive but should have been less. Breakfast FAIL. Small pool. A BIG step down from Hampton Inn or other comparable hotels. I won't stay in this brand again.

Great hotel. Clean and well managed. This is my first time staying at a home suites and I was very impressed. Parking gets really tight if you arrive after 9pm though.

Great clean hotel, super early breakfast, and an amazing gym. Walking distance (10 mins) to a shopping center with 10 different food choices. Clean pool and friendly staff, not to mention well appointed rooms with everything you could need in what feels like a small appertment.

New staff isn't as friendly as the staff I had grown accustom to. Overall the hotel is nice but they need someone to teach the young desk clerk better costumers service.

The room was very spacious and comfy. Coffee and tea available all day is lovely. Saw the pool and gym but didn't get a chance to use them. Would return.

Rooms are good size with full size fridge and sink and dishwasher, has a lot of eating utensils along with cups and plates decent sized outdoor pool good gym very friendly greeting people.

Had a two queen room booked there, but when my father and I went to check in, we were informed that only king suites remained. Was a bit disappointed, but the lady working the front desk quickly and politely found alternate accommodations. I only felt necessary to give 3 stars since we had to relocate.

Large comfortable room and bed. Close to outlet malls and restaurants. Biggest complaint is very thin walls and floors. Easily heard conversations from out neighbors and the footsteps of the guest above us.

They let us check in early, which was great for our schedule. The room was very spacious & clean. Very nice hotel & friendly staff.

The accommodations were great. I thought the room was a good size and had lots of amenities. The bed was comfortable and staff was friendly and inviting.

I was disappointed at this particular Home2. There were a lot of events going on during 10-12 Jul 15. First impression a tree was turned over with some parts of it in the road way which made it hard to see traffic when leaving. The parking area was not big enough to accommodate max capacity. My room was ready early which was nice however; the TV kept on freezing (bleeping) in and out. The service guy could not fixed it when he came out to troubleshoot. Upon leaving I put dishes in the dishwasher only to find out that it too didn't work. There were supposed to be adjustment made on my final bill but that didn't happen either once I received the final receipt. This hotel is also pet friendly; therefore $75.00 fee is charged. When one of my relative got to their room it spelled like dog and dog hair was all over the floor. I suggest the hotel block of particular rooms to accommodate pets. That way the furniture and carpet can be cleaned properly. It should be treated the same as a smoking room. No one want to have a room that smells.

Great place to stay in very comfortable rooms and the location is near everything. The only thing I would have to say is that this is a pet friendly hotel and I travel with my two dogs, there are no designated area for the pets to play or do their business you have to walk them down the local street. There is a huge vacant lot across the street from the hotel they should make it a dog park so they have somewhere they can enjoy to but other than that the suite is nice clean and friendly the kitchen area is very handy to. I like it here would recommend and come back for future stays.
