This Hampton Inn might just surprise you and here's why… First, let's be honest, this location wasn't my first choice, mainly due to the area. But I was pleasantly surprised by a well-run, very clean and up to date hotel. I recommend. I've found over the years a couple of tell-tale items that may help when you're 50-50 on whether to book a hotel or not. First, check the TV. If it from 1950, everything else is older! If it's at least a flat screen or better, usually the hotel is more up to date. Second, look at the artwork on the wall in the room. It will give you an indication of how well appointed the rooms will be. If you see dogs playing poker, run like one of them is chasing you. (BTW, I do like that painting, just not at my hotel). Finally, if you see people in any of the pictures NOT posted by the establishment, take note of their expressions. Yours will probably be a mirror image. If this helps at all, gimme!

I usually have good things to say about Hampton Inns, but not this one. The bath tub was dirty, it had a dirty soap ring. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The interrnet didn't work. The free breakfast was less than good. The room was very tiny. The pictures looked good. We couldn't pass each other in more than one place in the room. Needless to say we will not be too g back.

The most comfortable bed and pillows around. AC blew cold and the heavy drapes blocked out any light and noise from the outside. Still some remodeling going on, but not a huge deal. Amos, at the front desk, was a huge help and is the example of what good customer service is. Super polite and helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

Hotel has just been renovated and youcan smell the strong smells of fresh paint in the room. The air was broken, the fan wouldn’t stay on. We were put in an adjoining room and didn’t think much of it until a couple came in at 2 in the morning. We could hear everything due to the adjoining door! Woke my whole family up. There’s no barrier! On top of that they had a small dog that barked a lot. Called front desk b/c pets aren’t allowed but the couple claimed it was a service dog. And sadly anyone can just claim their dog is a service dog even when it’s not. We will never stay here again!

Not really what I've come to expect from the Hampton Inn brand. They have remodeled the rooms, but in mine the door has a huge gap letting lots of light into the room. The sink faucet is not attached, the light switches are the old beige covered by a new white cover, and the AC unit is not doing well at regulating the temp. A LOT of noise in the hallways at night too. The breakfast is great and so is the bedding, but overall not my kind of hotel.

The air didn't work, the shower head and ironing board were designed with very short people in mind, there was no vent in the bathroom to remove stink or steam, and the breakfast was awful. Very disappointed.

Located right off I-26, it's easy to find, but is also quiet & secluded. The room's atmosphere feels more like someone's home than a hotel. The storage areas are space efficient. The pastries at the continental breakfast are divine. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area.

Great customer service. The staff here was awesome. They are undergoing some renovations but they are very aware of that and considerate to their guests. Loved this place. Great location to get on and off freeway so I could easily access wherever I needed while in town.

The staff was amazing! (Amos and Vivian) They remember things, anticipate needs, and are helpful. The hotel is small but nice and clean. It’s is an easy to get in and out of. There are a few restaurants near by. The towels were nice and thick. Water pressure was good but temperature handle is touchy. Small sink space but there is a lip that can hold things. Air/heat worked well. The bed was comfy. The hotel was quiet.

The hotel is ok, but definitely on the low end as far as Hampton Inns are concerned. The staff is friendly enough, but you have to special request items that usually come standard, such as a fridge and microwave in the room. The construction that's currently taking place is extremely loud during the day — — too loud to hear on the phone and a definite impediment to getting work done.

This is an older Hampton with smaller rooms. They are well laid it though and didn't feel cramped. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The service was excellent and the breakfast was good… In fact the nicest array of fresh fruit I've seen in a while. It's an outdoor pool. The location was very convenient. The room was very clean, although signs of age and wear could be seen in the bathrooms.

Excellent service! We showed up very late in the evening, and I'm accustomed to a rather slow check in service but they were lighting fast. The room was very clean, and they were accommodating to our request for a late check out.

The breakfast was excellent. The building is very clean but a bit older. They told us renovation is coming soon. The complimentary internet is steady. The bathroom was compact but not tiny. Slept well on the king sized bed!

This hotel was very affordable and nice. The reception are has been remodeled very lovely and they offer breakfast and snacks thought the day. They have a pool. Though when we where there it was under construction. The blankets on the bed where actually the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Which reminds me I need to call them to ask what brand they are. Rooms are nice and cozy. Some are somking friendly.

A friend and I stayed here for a campus visit at USC. The hotel was decent for its class, but a few things could be better. The breakfast was not enjoyable, but was included. One of our soap boxes when we arrived was empty already. It made me question if they actually give new ones or if I am using lotion from the last guest that didn't finish it. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful, which is always a plus.

I stay at many Hampton Inns every week for the past 4 years with my current profession and have never had to write a negative review before… this should say a lot. I am a diamond member and certainly don't expect any royal treatment, but the room I recieved is the smallest room I have ever had. I almost tripped on the bed when I opened the door. I have heard 9 (I've counted them) emergency first responders police, fire trucks, ambulances in evenings I have stayed here. Their computer is extremely slow and was not responding to basic commands. I basically could not use their computer. Also, an electrical outlet attached to the breakfast table had exposed wires and not securely fastened. When I mentioned this to the front desk attendant she basically shrugged it off. I will never stay here again nor recommend this hotel to anyone… absolutely awful.

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay in the Hampton Inn-I-26 airport. We had a delay on our flight and the airline accommodated with a room at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel also had a shuttle service to and from the hotel.

From the moment we walked in Reggie, the concierge, was there to warmly greet us. We took note of how he had decorated his name tag with music notes and talked about his Jazz band! We are a group of touring musicians that travel nearly every weekend so it was fun to connect with someone who understands the grind. The beds were super comfy and I loved having an AC unit that we could adjust in the room. Breakfast was really impressive! Seriously it was one of the best spreads I've seen in a hotel. I really enjoyed making a waffle and piling on the toppings! The buffet was very clean and Beth was especially sunny for such an early hour. It was very pleasant to have her working there and checking in on us to see if we needed anything. I will definitely be staying here again!

It was an older hotel that needs some love. Staff wasn't really friendly at all. Didn't bother checking out breakfast. My keys stopped working at 10am even though check out was at noon. The bed really wasn't that comfortable I was up numerous times throughout the night. TV channel selection sucked as well. Not worth money at all.

Meh. This hotel is so-so. The staff seems nice and the location is good. The room (108) I was in was clean, bit the noise level was terrible. It's across the hall from the workout room, just down from the front desk, right next to a door to the building that slams when it closes, and just close enough to a little sitting area that every echoed laugh is crystal clear in your room. If you enjoy a nice shower, forget about it. The water dribbles out and the only two settings are scalding hot or barely warm.

If I could give less than one star I would. Hampton Inn's have always been my "go to" hotel chain, but this was nothing like the many others I have stayed in. We registered for 2 adults and 2 children in a King suite with a pull out sofa. However the pull out sofa was only slightly larger than a twin bed. We should not have been allowed to book this room if it was not large enough to accommodate our party. One of the children had to sleep ON THE FLOOR as there were no roll away beds available. The room was in disrepair. The floor in the breakfast bar was so sticky even our 6 year old noticed it. The front desk staff was not at all interested in helping out. Thankfully the housekeeping staff was understanding and gave us comforters for the floor to make a bed. If this was my first Hampton Inn experience it would definitely be my last. The only salvation is that their satisfaction guarantee allowed us to receive our money back.

This hotel was nice with all the standard amenities and a few extras. The staff was extremely friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. There was a nice charging station on the night stand with two outlets and four USB ports. There were two complementary bottles of water and cookies. A couple minutes after we got to the room we received a call from the front desk checking to see if everything was good in the room. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

It's your standard Hampton. Nothing to flashy. There is a breakfast bar, however it's not fresh cooked eggs and sausage it's more the prepackaged variety. However, the Western omelets that were available were especially good. There are several restaurants within walking distance including a Starbucks.

We were scheduled for three nights, but stayed only two. The staff was a nice and friendly, but there were numerous issues with the property. Our room keys would work only occasionally. If the key worked it usually took about 15 attempts to get the room open. We had keys made four times and maintenance staff look at the door lock, but no resolution of the problem. At night the HVAC system cuts off (apparently centrally programed this way) making the room warm humid and stuffy. It then restarts early in the morning. I will pass on staying here again. Although the staff was great, there are clearly updates and changes that need to be made.

Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Fresh baked cookie. Clean rooms. Parking lot could be a little bigger but other than that, no complaints. Centrally located. Lots of restaurants close by, plenty to do. Not too busy.

Stayed on the 3rd floor. Great service. Good hot breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Stayed overnight and everything was great! Gym was nice and the complimentary breakfast had everything you could ask for!

I have probably stayed at around 100 different Hampton Inn's around the country. I have to say that unfortunately, this was one of the worst. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. The hotel property was extremely run down, old, smelly, and in desperate need of an update. I once heard this brand requires a remodel after 10 years. If that's true, this hotel must be at 9.5. The breakfast attendant seemed uninterested in stockibg things, even though the breakfast area was never busy while I was there for four days. I hate to be negative, but the front desk staff is about the only positive aspect of this hotel.

Great hotel! The hot breakfast was awesome and I even got to make my own waffle! We didn't use the pool but it looked good. We will most likely use this hotel again next time we are in Columbia. It was only about a 10 min drive to the stadium!

The room is spacious and very nice. The bedding and beds are on point. The complimentary breakfast is honestly the best I've ever had. Also, the free cookies are amazing!

The hotel is right off the highway, it was dark when we got there but the area didn't look the best. The hotel looked like they took a really old hotel and renovated it… Just not very well. Room was pretty clean, hair on the toilet seat and in the tissues, stains on the rugs and chairs. We spent maybe 9 hours total here. The breakfast was okay. Staff was very friendly.

My family and I walked in to this hotel on the verge of possibly dying and we were instantly greeted by the man named Amos. Let me tell you about Amos: Amos is the nicest, most straight forward dude anyone will ever meet at any hotel and you can take that to the bank. He assured we had everything we needed and made us feel positive in a dark, 7 hour — out of 14 hours — drive time. Amos, you're the man. Keep it up, proud of you. The pillows kind of made me want to cry though. Still a great place.

Great location. Close to downtown, Interstate 26, and the airport. All booked up for The Master's golf tournament when I stayed. Rooms adequate size, Fitness center barely qualifies. Great continental breakfast spread. I would return to this hotel.

Staff was very pleasant, room was nice and roomy, breakfast was great, my son enjoyed complimentary cookies, lots of outlets to charge everything. The bathroom was quite "worn", but no mold in sight, so it worked fine for me. Would have been nice to have 3 sets of towels/wash cloths instead of 2 since we mentioned 2 adults and 1 child when reserving directly with the hotel. Overall, it was a great stay.
