After taking my cat to the vet in Columbia, I found out that she would have to stay overnight. Well I found this Quality Inn across the street so I went over and checked it out. It looked nice and wasn't run down, I actually thought it was a newer hotel. I got online to see what they offered and what price. I read some reviews but they were older and they mentioned that they corrected the issues and updated. So I booked online, it was cheaper that way, and went to check in. Lobby was nice and clean, staff friendly. I got my key and went to my room. OMG! The smell almost knocked me down. Thankfully, I keep Febreze in my car. I sprayed it all over everything. I had some extra clothes in the car that I was going to return at a later date. As you can see in the pictures that I posted, I didn't want to lay down my clothes or even hang them up. Cigarette burns in different areas of the bed. No smoking room. Turned on the bathroom light and 3 roaches scattered. The curtains wouldn't close all the way, no matter how much I fixed them. If I hadn't gotten it online I would have been out of there. Oh. And I believe the picture with the toilet can speak for itself.

If it were possible, I would have given it no stars. Our first room looked like they made the beds and stopped. The furniture was stained and we had blood on the floor of the bathroom. The woman working the front desk (best part of the hotel) moved us. The only improvement was no blood. Paid $20 extra for a roll away bed that is broke in the middle. So we paid a grand total of $150 for this experience. (pet fee) The amount of noise, from people, outside the room… astronomical! All… night… long! I thought that Quality Inn had a standard for their hotels. They missed this one.

We had 2 rooms & neither of them had locks that worked correctly. The rooms were a little musty smelling. The beds were really comfy but bigger pillows would have been appreciated.

First room 128 was occupied! Seriously, check your rooms so no one just walks in on other guest. Second room 126 did have a clean bed with clean sheets, and a/c did work. However, I found my coffee maker had leftover coffee in the pot and coffee grain filter still in it from last guest, so of course, mold was in pot. Shower had a pullout knob cutout of shower wall. Wifi was weak, the strongest signal was in the lobby not in my room which wad only about 15 yards from lobby. This hotel needs major renovations! I confronted front desk and she apologized for the coffee pot and the Wi-Fi she said was from them having bad weather. Really, it’s 78 degrees outside with no rain clouds in sight. My work requires me to communicate via email and video conferencing. The Wi-Fi keeps dropping me and my email took awhile to get through. If you are a businessman, DO NOT STAY HERE! You get what you pay for. Staff/Management is very nice! They try to make this place as fancy as possible. Rooms are just too old to be revamped. All in all, a good stay thus far.

Came here after 2 horrible motel stays and we're so glad we did. Front desk woman, JEANEN (hope I have spelling correct) who has only been employed there 2 weeks I must add. Was Such a ray of sunshine, friendly face very welcoming and super helpful. Was nice to see her welcoming face when we came down for breakfast. Room was clean. Will definitely stay here again when we come on our next vacation. Thank you all.

Room 204 was given to us based on a free points night. Total disaster! Smelly room, bath lights didn't work, I was shocked when plugging in the lamp, smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. This is what free night points members get. They told us no more rooms were available, but after being threatened to call the fire inspector room 103 came available. 103 had working electricity at least. Breakfast waffles were good. Staff brought out milk caraffts with milk dropping all over them. No where to put trash in the breakfast room due to no one emptying the trashcan. But as soon as we walked outside to leave, the staff were sitting outside at the smoking area. I was told the motel was under new management. I hate to fathom what the other was like. Do not stay here!

Absolutely ridiculous. After having to change rooms 3 times due to air conditioning not working, was actually placed in a room that was under construction and literally had no plumbing fixtures in the shower. Not that they didn’t work, they were not there. No way to take a bath or shower. Hotel was full and had no rooms to move me to. And on top of that the air conditioner didn’t work in this room either. I am a choice hotels elite diamond member who spends approximately 200 nights a year in hotels (mostly Quality Inn). I can’t imagine how anyone would find this acceptable. This is the first hotel I have ever did a review on because I can usually just tough it out even if there are problems but this is outrageous. DO NOT STAY HERE! It’s a shame that I have to give them 1 star to even be able post a review.

Well where do I start? After switching 2 rooms we finally have heat! The staff was great! Well day shift is. Our heater didn't work we asked for another room which they gave us but the heat wasn't working there either. We ended up going to Walmart to buy a heater which they didn't have so we bought blankets for the kids. They switched our rooms the next morning yes but the hassle during our mini vacation was ugh!

Clean rooms and extra large jetted garden tubs! Easy parking and great hot continental breakfast!

The room was large and there were no noxious odors. That's about the best I can say about this place. The temperature outdoors was in the 20's the evening I checked in and the heat in the room had been turned off completely. I realize that because of costs, the heat in all rooms cannot be on all the time, but you would think they would make a few liveable. It's not like the motel was full and they had already used up all the heated rooms. There were probably only a half-dozen rooms occupied that night, judging by vehicles in the parking lot. I turned it on and went out to get dinner. When I got back about 90 minutes later it had warmed up a little, but it wasn't until I went to bed at around midnight and got under the covers that it was warm enough in the room to shed jacket and cap. They have free Wi-Fi, but connectivity was horrible; never got more that two bars, so when I got it at all it was very slow. When I got up in the morning the room had warmed up enough to think about taking a shower. There had been a "repair" to the tub/shower faucet that prevented it from being turned on at all. And when I went to make coffee with the little coffee pot supplied, there were two previously used (but dry) coffee pouches in the basket already, showing the level of cleaning the room received. The breakfast was horrible. The waffle mix had soured, and I took one bite and threw the rest into the trash.

Not at all up to Quality Inn standards. Dimly lit room. Cobwebs on walls and ceiling. Carpet dirty around room edges. Sheets and towels were clean. Breakfast eggs were cold. Sausage gravy in crockpot looked like it had been reheated in same crock from day before as it was baked onto the crock on sides with a skim on top. Worst Quality we ever stayed at. Choice Priveledges did make some fair adjustments after I spoke with them. Place needs a good cleaning. I would rate this as 1/5.

Booked a suite using rewards points and was told that the lock had to be replaced so they didn't have any suites available… Knowing there's more than one suite, I asked for another and was told they don't allow the suites to be reserved with points. I asked for a manager and GM, then asked for a contact number so I could call myself and no answer. Choice Hotels informed me they did not have a policy against using points for suites; that it was up to hotel policy… While on the phone with Choice CS, the suites had been removed from their from availability online… Wasted so much time and energy trying to check in to the room I booked just to go somewhere else… It only took 3 seconds for them to remove the suite from Choice… Shouldn't that have been done a long time ago?

Love this place. It's cosy, clean. The pool area is adorable and relaxing. I live over an hour away and I come here sometimes for shopping or just a close get away. It's always low key, I haven't had a stay here with the rowdy crowd. Again, love it.

I know I want stay there again. The room wasn't clean, sorry house cleaning. My daughter, granddaughter and I witnessed a heated quarreling between guests and house cleaning staff. We was so happy to get away from there.

The room was fine the bathroom was a little worn and the normal bathroom light didn't work properly, but it had a working heat light. The shower had good water pressure and bed was in good shape.

I would never stay at this hotel again. The front desk associates are very rude and say whatever they want to you. I was charged a 20 early check in fee for a room that was already cleaned and free. When I asked them to show me a policy stating the fees the guy said they didn't have one and if I was upset that was my problem and that if he wanted to charge me 150 for a room he could. When I told him he could not make up his own prices he asked me do I go to the gas station and complain about the price, I said no but I explained to him that when I go pump gas I have never been told that since I pumped gas earlier than I should there would be an extra fee for it. When I went to check into the other room that my company paid for I was given a room that smelled like paint. When I went up front to tell front desk he said no one was painting. I said ok still doesn't change the fact that the room smells like someone had just finished painting and the smell gave me an instant headache. He sent maintenance to the room and maintenance said he smelled it but didn't know where it was coming from and asked me if I wanted a can of Lysol. I told him no because I would not be staying in that room and it was hard to breath in that filthy room with the dirty carpets. I went up front and the guy acted as if his life was ending because he had to give me another room.

This was not a good place to stay. It gets 2 stars because it had a parking lot and a bed. The room was completely dirty. There were dead bugs, dirty toilet and cigarette ashes from another guest near the tub. Do not book unless you have no other options. It is located near a Waffle House and a convenient store.

This place is pretty run-down. The walls are very thin. You can hear everything from both sides, above, and outside. The shower had one temperature: scalding. The fridge took 5 hours to get cold, and was not turned-on when we checked in. Some of the outlets were broken, as in: smashed-in. It did not feel very clean. The bed was relatively comfortable and the sink faucet was good. Edit: the place is an accident waiting to happen. Upon closer inspection, the GFI receptacle is broken, the shower was broken, and the plugs that the fridge and microwave are plugged into are broken. With even the slightest effort these things are apparent. I know this is not a 5 star hotel, but basic safety and functionality is expected, regardless. I will not be staying here again, ever.

Staff was amazing! Room had bed bugs though, got a new room, no bed bugs.

I used my choice rewards for vacation to stay at this hotel and paid extra to upgrade my room to have a whirlpool tub only to discover that it was not working after it was verified by staff nothing was done about it, I was very disappointed with this hotel.

Wouldn't recomend. Stayed here during the 2017 Eclipse when all other rooms were sold out. Thank goodness it was just one night.

Alright. Where should I start? Me and my boyfriend decided to stay the night at this hotel. And let me tell you, it was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. We stayed in a room, and however the sheets were clean, but apparently the staff lets people party till 12-1 in the morning with loud music blaring. Then I went to the front desk to get another room for the next night and without even asking me how I was going to pay he charged my card. Then proceeds to say hes very sorry, after I was holding cash in my hand. However were getting to the worst part of this review. I woke up to leave I go out to my car and put all of our things in and proceed to go to the front desk to check out. After I start heading home to get ready for work, then I get ready for work and head right back out to my car. AND THERE WAS DAMAGE TO MY CAR! after looking over the damage I proceed to call the Inn and see if they got whoever hit my car on camera. Well after getting off the phone with them they say that they would call me back within a couple of hours. I get no reply for about 4 hours. So after I finish work I call them explaining once again that my car was hit, and the lady being very rude said that the manager "couldnt find anything on the cameras", so I ask to speak to the manager, and she proceeds to tell me he wont be back until an hour or so later. This staff was very unprofessional. I wouldnt recommend going unless you want your personal property damaged.

The hotel is near Waffle House, which is a big plus. The rooms at least look good — — in spite of the scalding shower and occasional baby roach — — but the hotel location is far from ideal. It's built into a hill, and there's a big, undeveloped property in back. Frankly, the view of sandlots and towering weeds doesn't make for a nice view. The management really should pressure the city to get that nuisance property cleaned up. The guests are sketchy. When I was walking into the lobby to check in, another future guest literally ran in front of me like an unruly schoolkid to check in first. Sorry, I didn't know it was a competition. Other guests were noisy and all tatted up — — and the smoke from their small grills was too much. What it this? A cookout park? I know their money is as green as everyone else's, but the overall atmosphere doesn't measure up to a "quality" or "choice" hotel.

It was horrible the rooms where nasty, the breakfast was frozen literally frozen the staf was okay but it was bad.

It was nice to take a break from the tour in madruga it at quality inn in sv.

Dirty stained lampshades, broken furniture, thin towels and sheets, cigarette burns and dirty blankets, stained carpet, nasty bathtub, marks on all the walls, bottle rings on nightstand, desk lamp busted, dirty windows. Book stated it had been newly renovated. They need to be fined for false advertising. Keep driving people… could not wait for morning.

This hotel was very inviting, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Parking lot is well lit up at night and a very quiet area. I would be staying again if I come back through the area.

The rooms was okay for the price. They had continental breakfast and it was okay…

"non-smoking" room was stinky, cigarette burn marks on the furniture, bed, telephone. Dirt, stains on the sheets, grime. Got bitten by the bed bugs. Had it booked for 2 nights, ran out of this place at 6 am. After the first sleepless night — somebody left a squealing dog alone in the room somewhere in this motel with no soundproofing.

Hated it they put us in a smoking room it smelled horrible, had cob webs hanging everywhere, cigarette ashes on the bed, food on the floor by the night stand, what seem like a tissue with something nasty on it was between mattress an wall, couch was broke down, slept with lights on bed sagged in the middle, the breakfast was cold an biscuits were like hockey pucks, and they got robbed the one and only nite we stayed. When we turned the ac on it smelled like stale cigarettes. To me this is a spit an split an their is definitely NO QUALITY about this place. Keep on driving the Hyatt off of lake murray rd was waaay better same price to!

Was there for a stretch working. Good location, clean rooms and Internet was good. Just needed the washer and was broke: (

Stayed for a few days first day I woke with bites all over. Called the desk and the lady wasn't surprised I said that she said I'd get a new room Which even in a total invasion of privacy. They shoved the door open unnecessarily while I was still in bed. Not recommended.

The only Wi-Fi that work is the lobby water in shower come out hot and cold in the middle of shower change room still same problem with water in shower. Heater in room 221 makes a lot of noise when comes on it wake up everytime hake to turn it off.

Nice hotel real big, bug I just think the big truck parking should be bigger and better.

Everything was fine. I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and this one has everything you would expect. Hot water, clean beds, tacky art, and you can even bring your dog. It will serve you well if you need a place to crash for the night. They also have great hiking near by, but apparently you need to get a permit to go hiking there. I got a warning for violating the park service. A ticket would have cost me $475. A ticket for hiking. Only in America.

Great place for the price. Simple, no frills but clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast left a lil bit to be desired however there is a Waffle House right next door and a Hardees across the street. Easy to find. Would stay here again.

These people really know what 'customer satisfaction' means. Front desk personnel went above and beyond their duties to ensure I had a pleasant stay. Reviews from below made me question what service I would receive however they are quite unfounded and I am very happy with my choice. Great high speed internet and complimentary breakfast. The location was exceptional also. Definitely will return in the future.
