Wonderful Hotel, very gentle and proactive staff! I think it's a new or renewed hotel. The room had a very sleek and comfortable design. I loved the furniture and modules arrangement. They have a very decent Wi-Fi internet speed. The breakfast area it's very clean and the food y well organized. I would recommend it with my eyes closed.

It is conveniently located just off the interstate, also it is right next to a mall and many restaurants. It is clean like a Fairfield should be but could use a little bit of TLC where things are obviously getting old. There is a pool but no hot tub, and a gym. The continental breakfast has got hot and cold options. I would definitely stay here again especially if they were to just do a little bit of updating.

It's clean, comfortable, and it has all the basic amenities you would expect from a Fairfield. However, it is also a little old and worn. Could use a remodel.

The most comfortable bed I have slept in at a motel. Wish I knew who made the mattress. Good people and service.

Staff was very pleasant and with SMILES on their faces. I can literally see the mall from my window. There is no reason to even get in your car and drive because shopping and plenty of places to eat are seconds to minutes away from this location. The beds and pillows are amazingly soft and comfortable.

The location is wonderful, located close to a mall and several restaurants. The rooms were clean, and the service was great. All the employees were so friendly helpful.

Breakfast could have been better but besides that it was great.

No exhaust fans in any of the bathrooms led to muggy and foggy bathrooms after showering. Other than that, the beds were soft, it was quiet in the room and breakfast had great options. Just wished they had an exhaust system in the bathrooms.

My experience at the Fairfield inn in Columbia was acceptable, but the light didn't work in the bathroom, the exhaust fan didn't work either, and the continental breakfast was sub par. The elevator looks like it's from the 70s, and that's when it was last serviced. My main issue is with their complimentary internet, which was abysmal. Everything else was satisfactory: comfortable clean room, decent customer service, functional air conditioning, work station with desk.

Be sure to request a room with a microwave if you want one. You'll be charged the same rate either way. All other Fairfield hotels I've stayed at have them and minifridges in the rooms. This one, apparently, is hit or miss. Also, requesting a quiet room should take into account the fact that half the rooms face a busy and noisy interstate, thus not being a quiet room. I'll take my business elsewhere next trip.

Active BED BUG INFESTATION, MANAGER refuses to walk the reservation, maintenance expects the guests to inspect the beds in the new room… WHAT STANDARD IS THIS?

Nice friendly hotel. Convenient to to most everything. I enjoyed my stay.

It could use some renovations but the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the beds were comfortable.

My dad called today to cancel a reservation for Saturday because of — the person he spoke to said you required 48 hour notice (my dad was giving 42 hour notice) and said he would be charged for the room anyway. Shameful!

Great staff, super clean, super comfortable with an outstanding breakfast. If we are ever back in the area we will be sure to book here. We could not have had a better experience. Our complements to the desk and housekeeping staff, everyone was very pleasant, friendly and professional.

Southern Hospitality with Oh So Soft Mattresses. If you I'm not the owner of a bad back, and soft mattresses is your thing, then this is the hotel for you. Staff goes out their way to make sure that your stay is five star. However since I have a degenerative disc disease I found the mattresses far far too soft. And the beds very low to th floor. There is zero support. Other than that the rooms are clean. There are tons of shopping and food options in the area. Rooms are in need of good quality bedding. And a general make over. Again the staff is too notch.

People who love malls and restaurants, this is ideal. Good people worth mentioning are 1. Kay 2. Michelle 3. Saturday 4th floor house keeping person.

Spacious room with good amenities. Good breakfast that included fresh fruit. Friendly and helpful staff.

Was there for a job interview in the lobby. It was very spacious and clean and had plenty of coffee and other juices. Staff was nice and friendly. Would recommend.

Bed need to be replaced about 5 years ago. Way to soft to be anywhere near comfortable. There was a funky smell to the room we were in, probably because we were so close to the pool. The room NEVER cooled down even when we had it set on the coldest setting. Overall a very poor nights sleep. On a high note, the staff was very friendly.

We were impressed with the Harbison Fairfield Inn. It was convenient to all places in Irmo and the room was very nice. Much better than the other two places we stayed at in the area.

The cleanliness was decent.

It was a short, comfortable stay. I took one star away because they forgot to replace the liners in my trash cans. Not a big deal though.

Easy access to mall and other shopping.

I recently stayed at four different 'upper-midscale' hotels in the Columbia area within a two week period, all similarly priced and booked through a third-party website. I rank this Fairfield Inn fourth of the four. Location was good and I did not encounter any issues. The hotel itself 'felt' like it belonged at the lower end of this range of hotels, although it was clean and did not lack anything. The breakfast also ranked fourth of the four. Staff was friendly. Given other similarly priced hotels in the area, I'll probably choose to stay elsewhere next time.

Not that great. The hotel felt subpar at best. The room had a smell of mildew of sorts. It felt dirty. I will try a different hotel in the future. The proximity to the mall and area restaurants was the best part of my stay. The M restaurant was delicious.

My boyfriend and I stayed there not too long ago. I expected it to be a nice stay, because it is right by a very nice mall that I love going to. Upon first arriving, I noticed there was an overwhelming odor of bleach. Getting into the lobby, the first thing I noticed after that was the floor: it was filthy. Brown spots all over. The staff wasn't too friendly. They weren't rude, which is good, but there's a certain aura about you that you should present to customers/guests when they're arriving at your facility. Especially when you want to make a good first impression. So, the desk clerk's attitude didn't very much keep my mind off the lobby floor. She didn't bother saying, "How are you? ", "What floor would you like to be on? ", "Our hotel amenities are… " she just made the keys for the first floor, right near the lobby, and said there was a password and username for the Wi-Fi, but that it wasn't working. We passed the pool, where the bleach smell was coming from. I got excited for a moment, thinking it would be nice to take a swim, but then I noticed there was a weird "film" residue all over the entire surface of the pool water, and I thought "nevermind". Going into the room, which wasn't far, it wasn't very inviting. The room was close to the road outside, and she'd given us a connecting room, which didn't feel very private. And upon going into the bathroom, we realized it hadn't been cleaned very thoroughly.
