Review of Econo Lodge North Charleston 2*

From the start when I booked this hotel for this trip I read the reviews and saw that there were not any of bed bugs. When we arrived on Thursday night we checked the room for bed bugs. We woke up at 5 AM on Friday morning with 8 bed bugs crawling in the beds! Talk about mad. Needless to say, we left and got our money back, which wasn't easy. It took me a week to get my money back for the night we did stay, the manager continued to put it off until my dad had to step in and call him. The next day we noticed that w had been bitten by the bed bugs, which would have been Saturday. We left on Sunday and still had the bites but they just looked like pimple bumps. On Wednesday when I woke up I noticed I had a rash on my wrist, fingers and hands. I also noticed a few bumps on my ankles. I didn't think anything of it and went on into work. Then I began to itch. So, I called my doctor and they wanted to see me. I had to leave work early that day to do this. Well, guess what? The bed bug rash was spreading! Sometimes when the bed bugs bite you and suck your blood, they cause an infection in your blood stream which causes it to spread. My doctor was so glad I came in because I had to get a special cream for the rash. She said most people don't realize what they are because they start out looking like just an ordinary bump. I was very unhappy with all of this happening. The guy was very rude and basically came off like I was a lier. I will NEVER stay here again! And I am still debating on sending them my doctors bill!
