Venue was interesting and it was quite beautiful on the rooftop. However, after we sat, we were passed by several waiters and ignores service for over 15 minutes. Drinks were just “ok” we had to flag down staff to pay, then waited closer to 20 minutes to get our cards back. It was quite frustrating. I may give them another shot, but not anytime soon.

Very well designed boutique hotel by Kessler. Definitely done with style as one of the latest in the autograph collection. However, the housekeeping services on a holiday weekend were completely disappointing. On Saturday we got back to the room at 3 and the room was just as we had left it. On Sunday, it was repeated. No service until we had to call. To top it off my husband said to the house keeper ‘working hard? ’ She replied ‘Hardly working’

Very beautiful hotel. Was nice once, wouldn't go again though. No indoor or outdoor pool, no free breakfast, rooms are basic and the art room that your window looks out too is very unexpected. I thought the atrium would hold better art. The staff is amazing, very polite and helpful. House keeping knocked on our door to clean our room at 9am, which is hours before check out so don't expect to sleep in lol.

Gorgeous artistic Hotel with fine touches of art and strategic lightening in the rooms, in addition to an art gallery located within the hotel. Take time to enjoy the roof top bar/restaurant as it is filled with a romantic ambiance for any get away weekend!

This place is top notch. Right near King St. Great Decor and rooms are really nice. It also has a great rooftop bar and lounge!

Great experience staying here. Definitely worth just to walk through. Different than any other hotel I've stayed at. Makes me interested in the other sites of this brand. Rooftop bar was very relaxing, but service felt a little slow.

Outstanding accommodations. Excellent wine bar, with a great selection. Our room is in excellent condition, awesomely clean. All the people nice. The sommelier is a total wine geek (in a good way).

Amazing area. Rooms and staff are absolutely first class. They have a wine mixing and bottling bar that you can take your own vintage home with you.

Good location. Bold colored decor, somewhat over the top. Nice spacious bathroom. But it sounded loud and weird the when the air conditioning kicks in. As a light sleeper I would definitely avoid it next time.

Nice rooms and location is close to the city market. Valet parking is over priced… Our car was parked in the hot sun all day.

Really excellent service. Fourth floor restaurant with outdoor seating was nice — huge kudos for Spencer who recommended drinks that paired perfectly with my meal. I enjoyed the artwork throughout the hotel, and my room (even the scary eyed woman painting in the hallway — see the bathroom pic). The bathroom was impressive with a separate toilet closet, shower and huge soaking tub with peek-a-boo plantation shutters into the main room. So, you can soak while watching tv. The bed and pillows were fluffy soft. Only two negatives: the bath faucet was too close to the mirror, so while washing my hands, some water went on the counter. The other negative: The heating fan on the air conditioning unit was a little noisy when going on/off. Really enjoyed my stay. Was sad when leaving. Huge positive — although they took $100 from my account for using a debit card, the amount was immediately credited to my bank account when I checked out. Awesome. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Lovely hotel. Unique decor. Friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable bed. Innovative cocktails at the rooftop bar. We enjoyed our stay.

I was extremely disappointed with the service. I feel as if my friends and myself were profiled bc we were in loungewear, but that’s not a reason to slight us on service and that’s exactly how I feel about our experience. We walked into a near empty restaurant and received subpar service due to either the fact that we were black or not dressed to their standards. I’m extremely disappointed that the seats we wanted we couldn’t have only to have another party seated there not an hour later and receive service. To add insult to injury my friend spoke to the manager, who was clearly intoxicated and smelled like marijuana, and became defensive instead of trying to make her feel better about the situation. I feel like this is a racist establishment or classist to say the least either way I don’t feel comfortable returning or referring anyone else to dine.

Nice location to shopping on King's St. The market, etc. We walked to pretty much ever site we wanted to see. Hotel has a lot of art inside. Nice rooms.

It is a beautiful hotel. All staff was very nice. The room was clean, spacious and well decorated. I love the location because it's within walking distance of the Market and shopping on King Street. I can't give a 5 star rating because of two things. There was a loud clunking noise that happened about every 45 minutes that woke us up throughout the night. I discovered the next morning, that it came from the room's mini fridge. Needless to say, we did not get a good night's rest. Also when checking out, they billed the wrong credit card and never sent a copy of the receipt by email, and didn't give out a hard copy either. We discovered it by looking at our credit card statement online. They were apologetic but couldn't undo what had been done over the phone. That was disappointing. The valet staff were very nice and quick to retrieve my vehicle, though.

I didn't stay overnight at the hotel, just went to check out the rooftop bar/restaurant. Very nice, sophisticated hotel. Rooftop looked like a great place to have a few drinks.

I attended the Eleve Eclipse Party and it was phenomenal. Great food, great service, and a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This special event was made even better by the top notch staff. Job well done!

Our entire stay was great! The room was very spacious and accommodating, and the bathroom was gorgeous. We had drinks at the rooftop bar and enjoyed the signature cocktails, despite the rain! All of the staff were very welcoming — the bellman and valley, Rex, was very nice. Overall, a really great stay!

My husband and I stayed for a quick but much needed getaway this past weekend. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous from the lobby to our room, the halls and the rooftop bar. There is art literally everywhere! Chris and Kelly were exceedingly pleasant and helpful. We followed all of their to-do list suggestions abd had a romantic and fun-filled stay. We will definitely be returning and would recommend to everyone. The bed alone is worth the stay… best night's sleep ever!

I adore everything about this hotel — from the staff, decor and rooms, it's perfection and not something that you'd normally see in a historic town like Charleston. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms so chic. Have I also mentioned the robes? You can tell so much about the quality of a hotel from the robes (trust me! ). I love the music in each of the rooms, it sets the mood and we honestly leave it on while we're in the room since it's such a great collection. The artwork in this particular Grand Boho is my personal favorite (we've also stayed in the Asheville location). The rooftop bar has great views of Charleston and is one of the only places in town to serve Veuve by the glass! The little bistro downstairs with coffee in the morning is the perfect start to the day and a great pick me up. You will not be disappointed in this luxury experience!

Filthy, disgusting hotel. When we arrived, the first thing I did was pull out the corners of the bedsheets (it's neurotic, but I like to do a bed bug check! ) When I pulled out the corner sheets, a pair of soiled underwear fell out of the bed. We brought this to the attention of the management, and the offered a credit at the hotel bar and sent a wine and cheese plate, promising to follow up with the custodial manager. As our stay went on, I noticed more and more things that did not seem clean — — there was what appeared to be a large puddle of dried urine in front of the toilet, and there were long brown hairs near the sink and on the (clean? ) towels. I called in the morning and asked that the cleaning folks address this when they touched up the room. When we arrived at 3 PM, the cleaning staff had not come. I called again to let them know we were going out, and to remind them that there were some issues with cleanliness that they had said would be addressed. When we came back to the room at 8:30 PM, I was *astounded* to find that nothing had been touched — — the cleaning staff had not come at all. I called the front desk to share my thoughts about having to call three times over the course of 12 hours to get housekeeping service at an Autograph Collection hotel, and the front desk said they would send someone right away and speak with the housecleaning management (hahaha, you need to come up with some new material, though!

This is for the rooftop restaraunt and bar. It wasn't too crowded but took about ten minutes for the bartender to finally get to us (they would go to the groups of girls that came before paying attention to a dude). When they finally came and we said we wanted two beers, the bartender pointed to a bucket of beers on ice next to us and said just to grab them and open them ourselves and he'd run our card. So ten minutes to open a beer ourselves. The bartenders literally did the least amount of work physically possible. The rooftop was kind of cool, but I won't be back.

The best hotel I have ever been to in my life. But being a luxury hotel this will cost you quite a penny unless you use points. This hotel is perfect for honey moon or romantic getaway. Full of beautiful amenities, bohemian style decorations, art gallery, museum, rooftop, wine tasting, and wine making classes you can woo your significant other from the moment you set foot in this place. Located basically downtown, Charleston it's seconds away from all the shopping stores restaurants, historical places and of course the boardwalk.

All I can say is WOW. This is by far one the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in ever! The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is on point. The staff is top notch and treat you like royalty. A must is to have cocktails on the roof and enjoy the music and view of the city. Highly recommended.

Meh… Bring a flashlight if you want to eat outside, really can't see a thing. Spring VegtableS… yes with an S means more than one only Asparagus with the gnocchi. I.

Our stay at The Grand Bohemian Charleston was unforgettable. The hotel is beautiful decorated, the art gallery is full of culture and the wine tasting class is a really unique feature. How many hotels offer a wine tasting and an opportunity to bottle your own vino? You could spend the entire weekend just at the hotel! The music that softly flows through the entire hotel sets the mood for a fun, exciting weekend getaway. The staff was incredibly welcoming and ensured our stay was nothing less than perfect. Lastly, the location could not be better. You are steps from the best shopping and restaurants in the area. We won't be staying anywhere else on our next trip to Charleston!

The staff was incredibly nice. The rooftop bar has a great overlook of the city and, during happy hour, is very reasonable. We came to celebrate our engagement and they couldn't have been more warm.

The bar on the rooftop is a great place for after dinner drinks. The two different cocktails I had were made very well and were delicious.

Went for Birthday Lunch during Restaurant Week with a friend to Eleve. The art nouveau Bohemian decor in the hotel was very intriguing & the restaurant had an open yet welcoming organized feel. Service was well paced to allow for a laid back enjoyable lunch experience that will have us returning in the future for more! Food had an excellent presentation and the flavors were all delicately balanced. For the hotel itself, it was like venturing into someone's well kept secret hoke with treasures around every corner. It was a little quest to find Eleve, but once we did we were pleasantly surprised to be in on the secret! Would recommend & will return!

Beautiful hotel. The staff still is new and it shows, they didn't have all the charges correctly on the bill. However they are friendly, I think as they get more experience, those issues will go away. The elev rooftop restaurant was a great place to see the city and enjoy breakfast or the late night party.

Exceptional. Luxury. Fine dining and accommodations. Impeccable decor. 5star service from the staff. The list goes on. We love this location and Grand Bohemian. Coming from someone who used to live in Charleston this property far exceeds anything in the city. In addition to being part of Marriott makes it even better for this platinum elite member. Upgrade to a suite. Beautiful room. For the price this is not only the best value but overall best experience. I've stayed at most of the higher end hotels in the city. And I will ever stay anywhere else. I could write an entire review just about the staff. Barbie Sarah and Scott in the wine room! They're exceptional people with an abundance of wine knowledge and if you're willing to listen you may learn a thing or two from them. I sure have. Brianna in the coffee shop! So sweet. Always service with a smile and she made me the best sandwich I've had in a long time. The entire hotel staff was willing to go above and beyond for us. If you come to Charleston choose the Grand Bohemian. You won't be disappointed. We've stayed there 3 times since they opened in Sept. We're fans!

If I could rate this a 0 I would. The decor was done to perfection … but the customer service, availability of helpful employees, and adequately trained supervisors caused my colleagues and I to have a horrible 3 day experience for a company meeting. It's extremely unfortunate because the newly renovated up scale hotel is gorgeous, but seems to be run with unfriendly, unhelpful young staff from the moment at check in to the 2am calls promping a relocation of my room (@2am) as opposed to addressing a running toI let identified as "taken care of" @ 10 & 12am ***Advice: Stay at any other Marriott or Hilton hotel in Charleston and I'm sure you'll recieve at least at par customer service.

My husband & I were fortunate to stay in the beautiful newly-built Charleston Grand Bohemian last week for 2 nights and our entire stay was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived on Wednesday until the time we left last Friday, every detail was covered! It was pure perfection. Our room was luxurious & beautiful (and very large)! The entire hotel is beautiful & unique filled with outstanding fine art everywhere. The Wine-Tasting & Wine-Blending program was the icing on the cake! I thank you, Scott! I now have my very own bottle of wine that I blended, thanks to your expert instruction! My thanks goes to all the staff there and we look forward to another visit sometime in the near future!
