Not one single member of the staff seemed trained, nor did they make me feel like I was a priority. I constantly felt like I was interrupting something that held their attention. When I asked for a record of my stay, no one was able to provide it, stating that I was not checking out. This had never been a problem at other locations of Country Inns & Suites. I also asked if I could give my awards member number so I could get credit for my stay. I had to insist a number of times, and they said to do it later. They checked me in under the wrong spelling of my name and I still don't know if I am getting points for my stay. The place was also dirty. The laundry room had limited coin operated machines that had seen better days. The room had crackers jammed against both the bed frame and night stand. The refrigerator had never been cleaned before I was given the room, as there were old apple slices in there. I told the staff and it was never cleaned. The gap between the headboard and mattress revealed the box spring and the many different layers of hair (including pubic) and other filth laying on the bed skirt. The breakfast room was also dirty, particularly the large community style yogurt bin, which had old crusted yogurt around the rim. On a side note, there was also a much more limited selection of breakfast items than what I have experienced at other Country Inns & Suites. My final complaint would be the fitness room. It was supposed to be open at 6:00 am, however the key card program's time was off and it opened later with the key card. I spoke with the front desk and they just shrugged their shoulders. When I did finally get in there, the weight machine was clearly broken. When I mentioned to the staff it was broken, they acted surprised as if they never knew. This shows that no staff goes in there to clean, or it would have been apparent. I called the corporate office to get a record of my stay, and to ensure I was getting points, however they too could not help me. It was at this point I asked for an extended checkout from the front desk, I then gathered my belongings and went to the hotel next door.
