We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It may show it's age a bit, but it is very clean and the rooms are large. Of special note was the responsiveness of staff to any request. Housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance. Breakfast was very good, with a full selection, including eggs, and table service. We would return!

We were here for a wedding reception and stayed the night. The hotel was clean and the reception facilities were roomy and beautiful. The food was also delicious! Marie, who worked at the check-in desk was exceptional. I had spoken to her during the week before and she was extremely friendly and helpful. I wish all people who worked in such positions were as patient and accomodating.

Nice comfortable hotel. Quite big with a nice open air swimming pool. It is also a wedding, conferencing and banqueting venue. All within easy access to the Meadows Casino and racetrack. Comfortable bar and spacious rooms.

My friend just had a wedding there this past Friday. It was a joyful time. The bartender we had for the wedding wad phenomenal. She is an employee of the hotel and she was so friendly. Her name was Tammy.

Went to the Double Tree for a Wedding. It was great! The place was very nice and all the staff were kind and professional. The food was excellent as well. The room was also very nice. Bigger than expected. I would rate my time a 5 out of 5.

The venue was nice and clean! Atmosphere was excellent. They provided projectors with a PA system. We had some cable mismatches at first but they found one that works. Food was excellent.

Absolutely loved my stay at the DoubleTree Meadow Lands. I was in town for the Burning Bridges Comedy Festival and needed a quiet place off the highway for my stay. Was pleasantly surprised to see the hotel was right next to a Casino (I didn't even lose any money! ). Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff member who handed me enough cookies to give me diabetes! Check-in was quick and easy — was in my room within minutes, but came down to enjoy the live band that was playing in the bar. Room was spacious and comfortable and had all the amenities I needed (small fridge, desk to work at, etc). I slept like a baby last night! Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Pittsburgh area.

We’ve been loving our DoubleTree stays on this tour so we took another stay (and more complimentary warm cookies! ) on our way to play in Pittsburgh; this might have been the best one yet. We easily found parking for our sprinter and trailer with parking easily accessible to our room. The breakfast buffet was freaking delicious and dinner was on point as well, but there are plenty of super close dining options really close; and pretty much any kind of shopping ever (if you haven’t blown all yr money at the casino/horse track next door! ) Staff here is excellent and prompt; rooms super clean and peaceful. Amazing soundproofing if yr a light sleeper. We had the perfect rest we needed. Thanks team.

I travel almost 200+ nights a year for my job, and have been a loyal Hilton member for quite some time; they truly do no uphold to Hilton Standards. If you are looking to book a hotel in this area there are many other hotels that are in far better shape. This hotel could really use an update to bring it to modern times. The staff at check in was unprepared, and did not seem properly trained. No cold bottles of water for sale in the lobby, lack of vending machines on the 5th floor. Rust present from fixtures in bathroom, obvious water damage to wallpaper in the room, and no shampoo in the bathroom, only 'body wash". I was also disgruntled when I went to order in room service, and no answer in the kitchen, decided to order in pizza instead. On the upside they had the best pillows, and can't forget that Double Tree cookie… Update two years later: I decided to give this hotel a second chance to see if they have improved, and they have not. After checkout they just sent a blank receipt and took them over a week to get it corrected. The rooms still need to be updated, and the front desk staff is not helpful. Not to mention it is a month past my stay and I still have not received my Hilton points for this stay. This Hotel will not get a 3rd chance from me. Stay at the Marriott across the street.

Our client and comedian JR Williams was very happy with the stay here after performing in Pittsburgh! The room was perfect, quiet and clean (and who doesn't love a free cookie at check in! ). There was an on-site restaurant for a good pre-show meal, and a fitness center to get some calories burnt before hitting the road in the morning! JR also liked the convenient snack and sundry shop to grab anything he may need in a pinch. With such a resounding endorsement, we look forward to sending our clients here again when in the area!

We only had the pleasure of staying at Doubletree Pittsburgh Meadow Lands one night on our trip, but it was certainly a night well spent. The front desk clerk was very friendly and got us checked in in no time. Our room was very comfortable and clean, making for a great nights sleep. The hotel bar was awesome and had a great live band performing. They offer a delicious pasta bar around dinner and there is a restaurant serving breakfast in the morning. All the staff that I interacted with during my stay were fantastic and very attentive. Will certainly stay here again when I'm in the area.

Love the DoubleTree, especially this location. We got checked in quickly, and just in the hotel alone there is plenty to offer. A great restaurant, a stage and live music, and full bar, conference rooms and proximity to casinos, lots to do and downtown Pittsburgh (which is only 15 minutes away). The room was clean and fresh, everything smelled great. Loved the workout room (very private and easy to access) We loved that they had coffee and tea by the elevator on every floor. It made grabbing a quick drink really easy and convenient. The hotel was quiet, and that helped us get a great night sleep. We will definitely be back!

Great hotel. Very clean, all the employees are very nice. Whenever me and my husband go to the Meadows casino we stay here. We try to get one of the whirlpool suites. The whirlpool is huge and very clean. I always fill the tub and run the jets to make sure no nasty water runs through it. (I've seen green water at other hotels) everytime we have had the whirlpool suite here it's been crystal clear water. We always get a ground floor room with a patio leading to the outdoor pool. The pool is very nice and clean. They offer a free shuttle to and from the casino as well as other local places, the mall and various restaurants in the area. They give warm fresh cookies whenever you ask for them and upon check-in. You get a coupon book for the casino. 1 for every day. The shuttle drivers are always very friendly. We will only stay here, even though I have had rooms comped to me for the hotel that's attached to the casino, I choose to pay to stay here instead.

We attended a bridal show there. The hotel was very easy to find. Staff was very pleasant and the venue was excellent. I would attend another event there.

A clean hotel with very cool people.

So much to love about this hotel. Location is right off 79, you've got a casino, racetrack and outlet malls all right there. Everything in this hotel is clean and big. Lobby area, restaurant, rooms, fitness center, etc. I checked in, left for work and got back earlier than expected. Even though it was a Saturday night, the room was quiet. Didn't hear anything from the hallway that night or the next morning. Loved the fitness center-so much more room than most hotel workout rooms with more options as well. Also, plenty of towels and a fridge full of bottled water. Check in & check out took no time. Staff was friendly and efficient. Really a great stay. Look forward to coming back.

This is a well maintained hotel! I could not find dust in my room bathroom shower tiles well maintained. This is a very old hotel with no renovation work done! But it is immaculately maintained. I like to use stairs instead of the elevator and the stair hallways were all clean and dust-free. If you are tall over 6 feet the ceilings are low in the bathroom and in the hallways, but it is taller in the rooms just a little to low in the bathroom impossible to put on a shirt! Lots of wood work detail would make a perfect wedding reception, or venue.

Does it get much better than DoubleTree by Hilton? Probably not! The warm cookie upon check in, super soft beds, etc! This location in Pittsburgh meadowlands is directly across the street from a super cool outlet mall AND a Casino! Also, it's maybe 45 secs from interstate 79! Several restaurants nearby and the buffet style breakfast added to the awesomeness. Highly recommended.

The DoubleTree at Meadow Lands was excellent. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. They had a great workout room. The beds were comfy, the room was clean and spacious, and the shower had great water pressure. They even had little recycling bins in the room, which I really appreciated and have never seen before at another hotel. Way to be ahead of the curve, Double Tree! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

First time I stayed at a Double Tree and was pleasantly surprised when my already stellar hotel staff handed me a warm fresh baked cookie! Checking in was a little busy so I checked out their small snack and toiletry shop and they had everything you could want (or forget at home in my case) and more! The room was stellar, clean, and very comfortable. A big comfy couch, work desk, and a breakfast menu for room service awaited me as soon as a walked it. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Casino, a strip with Primanti Brothers, a soon to be brewery, and less than half an hour from Pittsburgh (off peak hours). The town of Washington (10 minute drive South) also has some nice places to visit from small restaurants, to a brewery, and a couple of decent sounding breakfast spots. If I am staying in the Pittsburgh area again, you can count on me coming back from my second time (and second cookie! )

This was a nice hotel about 40 minutes south of Pittsburgh. We were passing through Pittsburgh for business and heading south so it's location worked out great. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a pull out couch in the room. It also had a fridge for us to store some things for a couple of hours. There was also a kurieg coffee maker in the room, so getting coffee was easy in the morning. There were free cookies in the lobby at check in, the staff was very helpful and helped us get settled in. We were pretty in late and out early at the hotel, so we didn't really get to experience all of the amenities, but it was perfect for what we were looking for.

I stayed here a and this place is Amazing. Everything is very up to date also the staff was amazing and friendly. I can’t wait to go back and visit. Thanks for the great stay!

Our party was charged double the rate for a suite, and the room had a musty smell to it. Other than that it was clean and had good shuttle service. The bathroom was a little dated.

One of the best hotels in the Pittsburgh area… especially if you're ok with the short commute into the main city hub. Service was top notch and super smooth and quick upon checking in. I found the room very clean, cozy and quiet which was delightful especially after a long haul from Tennessee. There's a nice outdoor pool, full weight room and restaurant that has a bar. Wifi internet was super fast and efficient. The entire staff were kind and courteous went well above and beyond with their customer service. A must stay especially if you're passing through Pittsburgh. I am happy I got to spend two nights there and I will most certainly be back!

This hotel is amazing and I'm not just saying that because of the free cookies at check-in. The rooms are awesome, quiet and comfortable. There's a restaurant and a casino on-site should you find yourself with extra time to enjoy!

The best thing about this Double Tree at Pittsburgh Meadow Lands was the staff. Marsha, Dawn & Lauren were all amazing in accommodating our needs, pampering us and solving issues that came up. We loved the pool which was huge and impeccably clean. And, of course, the warm cookies were an addictive delight. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Attended a dinner in the grand ballroom. It was a well attended event, and the air circulation left something to be desired. Dinner was delicious, but portions were pretty light. Salad, dinner and dessert, and afterward I was still hungry. Some of the staff seemed less than enthused when needed to assist with things; others were wonderful. It's not a bad place to be for an event, but I'm not sure I'd choose it for one I were planning, personally.

Great location right next to casino and Tanger outlets with shuttle service to both. David the shuttle driver was very helpful giving us discounts to casino and info about the area. Chris at the front desk was great to work with and easy to work with. Sarah the bartender was awesome at making sure your cup stayed full and keeping a friendly vibe. Beds were super comfy rooms were very nice.

Room was clean. Easy check in and check out. Enjoyed my stay.

Good environment, well kept, kind staff.

I had attended a planned event and I would think the staff would of know the plans and what was to happen but sadly they didn't. This lead to confusion and some distraught guests for our formal event. Food was very good and the room we had was very nice and open. Lighting was soothing and relaxing. Overall I would rate 6 maybe 7 out of 10.

Was at the DoubleTree for a work event. The hotel and it's conference rooms were very nice. Food provided by the hotel during the event was good.

Superb staff. Comfortable rooms. Excellent attention to detail. The breakfast is a great start to the day. Absolutely no complaints. Definitely will be returning when I am in the area for business.

My boyfriend and I just loved it here! The shuttle was very convenient and the hotel gave us a lot of freebies. We went over my birthday weekend so we got additional freebies from the bartender, but we got free play and food coupons to use at the casino. Awesome place.

I have slept in a small tent that was better than this place. Our clothes in the dresser and closet reeked of cigarette smoke and while taking showers or using sink, a very strong odor of sewer came over you. Toilet bubbled. Stayed here one week, and not once was the carpet vacuumed, just sprayed with Fabreeze and was sticky to walk across. The first night, there was a puddle of liquid in front of the bed. All of my things had been rifled through more than once. We were locked out of our room; I quit counting at number five. I did fill out a form, expressing these problems and not once was I contacted to make this a better stay. I even tipped outr housekeeper the second day, hoping she would take care of us. Ran out of kleenex and toilet paper and had to steal it from a cart. The bed sheets were never changed. Were suppose to be changed after 3 days, but nope. Seriously, run from this place. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the rooms, halls and dining room stink. And, in our room, in the bathroom sink, all you get is hot water. Also, Saturday, we were told the shuttle was broke, but in reality it was reserved for a wedding party. We would have undersized, if had told the truth Double Tree. Double Tree, please, I am not an idiot, do not reply to this and tell me improvements have been made and to give you another chance. We will never stay at another Hilton Hotel.

Worst hotel I have ever been at stay here for three month no free breakfast and they want you to pay $14.00 for it it maybe worth 5 small bathrooms and the staff are idiots.

This is the worst Double Tree hotel I have ever encountered. The rooms are over priced for this area they are small and have a odor to them. The kitchen smells like dirty mop water everyday. I saw two mice running around in the lobby area, one of them entered the woman's bathroom. There's never any hot water for the guests and was told by maintenance that "THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT THE HOTEL NOT HAVING ANY HOT WATER" The daytime staff is always eating at the front desk and talking about other guests and their fellow co-workers. The night auditor Shirley is a mean old woman that only cares about herself. She is very short with guests and non-shaullant about everything she says and does. This is the most run-down hotel I have ever seen by Hilton. They should close the hotel right away. The Pittsburgh Double Tree is worth the extra miles and the Casino is in the process of building their own hotel for their guests and will not need the double tree's service anymore very soon. The floors are dirty and they have bugs all over the front desk area as well. The GM lives in the hotel and obviously is not a very good woman of her work criteria. I would tell everyone to never stay here no matter what the circumstances are. Its very hot on the 6th floor and freezing on the first and second. This hotel is over 40 years old and YOU CAN TELL. The Marriott Courtyard is across the street and has no affiliation with this hotel or any of the Hilton hotels in this area.

They gave all of my rooms away and did not inform me : (They blamed it on the calendar. They cannot book rooms in the upcoming calendar year. They were booked in October. I am not sure what kind of hotel cannot reserve conference rooms for the upcoming calendar year. There was no apology nor attempt to make it right : (.

I booked the rooms at Double Tree Meadow Lands for 2 nights, 11/28 and 11/29/13. The morning of 11/29 there was no hot water and we were told that a plumber had been called by they couldn't tell us when we would be able to get a hot shower. I called the front desk when I got back to the room the night of 11/29 to see if the water problem had been fixed and was assured it had been taken care of. When I went to shower the morning of 11/30 still no hot water. When I called the desk they said they didn't know of a problem with the water and would get me another room in which to shower. I decided to let the water run to see if it would get warm enough to shower and it did after 25 minutes. I stayed here last year and everything was fine. I like the rooms and location but just hated the inconvenience we had this year.

Nice clean hotel. Big rooms but the bathroom door is huge and gets in the way of the entrance and closet. Kinda a weird setup. Bar was nice and you can walk to the casino.

Everything was good until breakfast, food was ok but service was lousy. waited 10 minutes for coffee then after we went to Buffett no silverware and had to wait again. Also asked for salt/pepper and never got it. I had to get it from another table.

Rooms are pretty big but bathrooms are like a shoe box. You have to close the door to use the shower. The restaurant is to expensive for what they charge. You would expect better then a large but still pre-made burger and fries at 14 bucks. The rooms are way down the hallway and down a flight of stairs before actually getting to the elevator. They are trying to come off as a classy or maybe elite hotel but fall way short. You would be better and more comfortable at the hampton down the road. Oh yeah no free paper in the morning or coffee. The simple things sometimes help. Free complimentary chips fruit and soda are pilfered off to keep you happy by two scary guys with a cart every night. The made service was nice and she was helpful despite her only basic english. Two guys from the hotel looked at me like I was a stalker or something when I waited patiently to ask her for some extra coffee packets, they were way to protective for somthing simple. All in all bad place for the money.
