I think the hotel is really nice. The people are nice. We found a pigeon egg on the patio. The rooms are nice and roomy. I love the revolving doors. And go to the cafe next to the hotel. This hotel makes me feel at home. Thank you for letting me stay at the San Carlos Hotel. I give a shout-out to all the amazing employees. Please stay there is. New York City.

Walking into a hotel at 1:30am after delayed flights and 2 weeks no the road is always exhausting and daunting. The fact that their was a bell man with a smile to help me with my bags at that time was so refreshing. The gentleman at the front deck on a sun night (June 2nd) at that time of night had me laughing after feeling so exhausted. Such a great way to start my stay here. Great service all around I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful hotel, super friendly and helpful staff, great dinner and sightseeing recommendations. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay while visiting NY. Bobby from the Lobby was a great guy! Thanks from OKC to NY!

The staff is excellent, noisy room, you hear everything that the guests talk next door.

Very comfortable and with very good attention. Like every hotel in NY, you hear noises from the streets at all times, but we were just here at night sleeping.

The suites look good, and the staff were very friendly. They even offered me a free umbrella when it was snowing outside and I wasn't even staying at the hotel!

Overall service was excellent. This hotel was a blessing since our buses stopped service in New Jersey at 4:30 pm due to the North easterner on Wednesday and I did not want to sleep on an air mattress my job was providing to the employees that stayed over night.

Great hotel, spacious rooms and clean. Staff were friendly, check-in and out were super quick! Great location. Close to ess a bagel which is very good and Smith and wollensky is an amazing steak house around the corner.

Staff is very polite. First room in NYC that we found that fits a family of 5 for a reasonable price. Plenty of room to relax not just sleep. If it had it's own restaurant for breakfast it would be a 5 star for families.

I went to new York several years ago and stayed at this hotel. It was wonderful the staff treatment, the convenience of the facilities and in general, our stay there. I guess and I hope they haven't changed much.

Very good attention. The rooms are comfortable and the linen is of good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is only necessary to contemplate at breakfast a gluten-free menu.

Great Midtown location, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The construction right next door can be a bit of a bummer, but not a lot they can do about it. Also, I Love their shampoo!

Very comfortable stay here. Staff was friendly, and free continental breakfast every morning! Great location, and easy access to the green 4, 5, and 6 lines.

My husband booked us at this Midtown hotel. The room was incredibly spacious for NYC. I was shocked that we had a separate bedroom and living room with kitchenette and breakfast table. There is a "continental breakfast" which is mostly carbs and off name yogurt… we only ate it one day. While midtown is quieter, there was some significant construction happening next door involving a crane and an air horn. Luckily we only dealt with it one full day of our stay since they weren't working over the weekend. I docked it one star for the breakfast and the noise, but seriously, there are like, 17 places to eat breakfast in a one block radius… so you won't starve. :)

Of the 3 times we have been in NY we have stayed at this Hotel 2. One in ideal couple and the 2 with children and the deal in both cases exceptional. The rooms are very spacious, well-soundproofed. All the employees are very friendly. The rooms are very clean. It has a gym included in the price. It also includes breakfast which is simple but enough. Very centrally located and recommended. I will definitely come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, although it was only one night the staff was welcoming, and very helpful. The suite we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and the hotel is conveniently located in New York, we did not need transportation. Absolutely a wonderful trip and we look forward to staying at this hotel again very soon.

Good service, good location, nice rooms. Breakfast is not that good, it was reallocated to the side building and it was a chaos. The site building was under construction too and no chance to have a good rest.

Great hotel… clean, great staff.

There is a lot of construction outside which is loud and annoying, but it's in a good location and you can walk almost anywhere from here. I've never stayed in another hotel in NYC yet but I hear the rooms here are bigger than average for the price. Employees are nice and funny. Good place to stay when there is no construction.

The hotel was great very nice and helpful. I left jewelry there and the maids found it and kept it safe until and I called. Then payed to mail it back to me which was so generous. Plus the rooms were very clean and spacious plus the Wi-Fi worked great. Would definitely recommend.

It was my hotel for the first trip to NYC along with my family. And the experience was excellent. The rooms spacious and very comfortable. Fabulous cleanliness and attention. And the location unbeatable.

Our stay was a pleasant experience. Our friends were throwing a game night and the hotel was extremely accommodating. They provided a table, extra chairs and we even got our room upgraded for free. The staff was courteous and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Manhattan.

Super staff, Super Room, everything is well exempt breakfast. Tip: Cross the street and take your breakfast at La Lunchonnette: great.

I recommend it 100% by situation, first, by services offered the second and attention of the staff as third.
If I say anything negative, I would say that that is free, breakfast is a bit poor, would that have more variety. Even so, everyting on my next trip to NYC.
A secret: when it rains have folding umbrellas available at the entrance.

Needed to make a presentation on TV in a meeting room, they didn't have a Mac adapter or a PC to use. Everything else was well presented and organized.

Very nice hotel. Nice tvs, good location, big hotel rooms, nice views, good bathroom.

Not the greatest but had to book a last minute room on a busy weekend in NYC and was able to find an affordable rate here. Nothing to write home about, comfortable beds and clean rooms, friendly staff, free Wi-Fi but nothing exceptional to warrant a higher rating.

Complimentary continental breakfast? More like free toast and orange juice. Rooms are fine though.

An excellent hotel and stay.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay while spending the weekend in NYC! The family executive suite was perfect for my parents, my three children, my husband, and myself, with an added roll away bed (which was extremely comfortable! ). It was very spacious! The hotel staff, from "Bobby in the Lobby" to housekeeping, were courteous and quick to offer and give us help. Bobby gave us many helpful hints about the subway and some "must-sees" in the area, as this was our first NY visit. Housekeeping noticed that we had a large group so brought up extra pillows, blankets, and toiletries. The room was quiet so we slept well which is important when you have a full day ahead of sight-seeing! Rockefeller is within walking distance (I believe 5 blocks) but the subway is also close by for sights that are further away, like 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. I would certainly stay at San Carlos again and would not even waste my time looking for anywhere else! It was PERFECT!

We stayed from march 8th to 12 and this hotel is one of the best when it comes to service and the location is super awesome its near to every thing that you want to see max 10 min walking … front desk staff was awesome Mr Gabriel is a sweet heart … great place for great price…

Perfect location and very friendly staff.

We were in may 2013 with my wife and the very good hotel, the staff excellent, the Sr. Gabriel of reception we attended of wonders and the rest also helped at all, very good room and very well exploited the space where estraba large wardrobe/closet, bed, desk, and a closet with basics of cooking. Very good all over! Continental but very complete breakfast and serve without restrictions. They offer free Wi-Fi and also is conveniently located in the city of New York. Lo recommend!

Perfect, it is not super fancy, but it does not have any defect. We were a week and I was like cleaning, care and peace of mind. In addition this in a location perfect to know it all, two blocks from Avenida 5 and with metro and bus to a step. The correct super rooms. Our 09/2011 valuation is recommended.

I was last June and the very positive experience. Staff very friendly, hotel very well located and communicated by metro and bus. Soberly decorated rooms but spotless cleaning. Very quiet and recommended place.
