Great location, very nice rooms and friendly professional service. The breakfast in the adjacent bar has a big variety and is super fresh and delicious. Will def be back if ever in the area. Also, the hotel is conveniently located next to the grand central station if you're travelling by train.

Dinning in back outdoor courtyard. Food was good atmosphere was fun. Nice place that does not make you feel like you are in the city.

Lovely staff, great little hotel. We had a little trouble with noise from late working construction. We were moved to a quieter room immediately when we mentioned this to the reception staff. Good food in the restaurant, good lively bar, popular with the locals.

Staff went well out of their way to make us comfortable. The room was beautiful, clean and had a great view. Loved my vacation and can't wait to stay there next time I visit NYC.

Great location… the staff is exceptional. The rooms are comfortable sized and the bed and pillows to die for. 15 years repeat guests.

Location of the hotel is awesome. You are right next to Grand Central station and Chrycler building is also nearby. Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center is also at a walking distance. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could do with an upgrade. You are greeted with a doggy smell once you walk into the lobby. We liked our room though. It was a good size and had everything we needed. The decor is also dated and carpet floor looked a bit dirty. So if you are staying here I recommend you pack some slippers. All in all it’s quite good considering the price and location. I would probably book this again.

The hotel bar is an Irish pub and therefore has many beers and liquors. The bar has a very large garden for parties and happy hour with colleagues. There is also a video with information about the timetable of the Grand Central trains, so don't miss your train.

First I'd like to point out that this review is for the bar and patio area. I have never stayed here. This place is around the corner from one of the companies I work with in NYC and seems to be their default after work watering hole. Old school decor, good drinks and a great staff. Indoors is comfortable, especially if your lucky enough to get a seat, but the place really shines with the outdoor patio. I've had a good time everytime.

Up front customer service is incredible. I qualify this as "up front" because if the problem is not a fairly quick fix, well they kind of brush it off. Example: parked car on street over weekend which included a Monday holiday but we did not know about ticketing for Monday. The desk guy said he'd be right on it, call 311 and let us know which he did. The other issue we had was the thermostat for our room, which was very important because we had a baby sleeping in a crib and it was very cold outside. The thermostat reading seemed to be off by like 10 degrees intermittently which caused wildly fluctuating temperatures in the room. Maintenance guy was very quick to respond but after a quick reset of the unit, he said he didn't know what was wrong. As a partial solution, he said he could turn on the bathroom heater, but when he goes to turn it on, he finds that it's broken and tells us we can get a space heater by calling front desk if it gets too cold. Nothing about following up with the thermostat or the bathroom heater. All the staff though are very nice and polite. Despite the issues which we resolved ourselves, would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Soon enough, you won't be able to get a room here at anything approaching reasonable rates, mostly because people like me will leave honest reviews. But that's the curse of rewarding groups who do quality work. So let's enjoy it while we can still get a reservation.

Logistically perfect Hotel to get around the area: walking distance to Grand Central Station. Clean and comfortable rooms!

Great staff who can help you with anything. The small touches of a kind of Irish elegance brings me back to this boutique hotel. Cozy restaurant with good food and great beer selections. Rooms and bath are very comfortable by NYC standards. Common area off lobby with fireplace feels like the library belonging to an English gentleman, and inviting.

Larger than average double rooms and friendly staff. Location is pretty good as it is round the corner from Grand Central Station. Overall I was pleased to have stayed at the Fitzpatrick and would recommend it.

You hear a deep rumbling sound everytime a train pulls into Grand Central. This goes on till 11 pm. I was on the 2nd floor. I'm not sure if things are better on higher floors. The room was clean. The AC wasn't working but they sent up someone to repair it immediately. When I tried to iron my clothes, it leaked water all over. It was convenient to where I had to go but otherwise, I would look for another hotel.

We’ll probably sound biased here because were Irish, but of the 4 hotels we visited in the US, this was the most impressive when it came to customer service. The hotel itself is a little dated and our room had no view, but it was clean and a good size. When it comes to customer service, other American Hotels could learn a lot from the Fitzpatrick. The receptionists were all lovely, and Mikey, the concierge was extremely helpful, he took time to go through the maps with us to help us to get our bearings. As the name implies, the hotel is situated close to Grand General Station, which was great. Well Done Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel.

Slightly noisy given that it is in a central location. However my main gripe would be that Wi-Fi in the room is $14.99 a day. The lobby does have free Wi-Fi but as I say that's only in the lobby. However I have had some good night's sleep here and the staff are super helpful. Plus, located directly across the road from Grand Central Station the hotel is easy to find and have as a base to explore Manhattan. No air con in the rooms but it does have ironing boards and room safes.

Very nice and cleanly. Crowded but easy to make my way around. Didn't get lost. Very good experience.

Exceeded my expectations. Great location. Took about an hour via cab from JFK on a Friday afternoon. Everybody knew their job AND wanted to please the customer. The room was clean. Small but I did book last minute and took what was available. The bar is very nice. Outdoor sitting. Great service. Will definitely stay here again!

This was a great hotel. It felt more like staying in an apartment — — the room was comfortable and the perfect size, and the furnishings had personality. Everything from the toiletries to the furniture arrangement showed care and thought. I wish I had stayed longer!

Great hotel for the price. Amazing location, near grand central Station. Lexington Avenue are so nice. Proximity to pizza places and all you can ask for. One of the greatest bars is located in the ground floor. The rooms are spacious and a bit old. The service is nice, no more. No view from the windows. Best location and room size for the price, although not the cheapest.

Nice hotel, great staff. Had a great chat with them on arrival and throughout our stay. The room was a good size, the bead was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The location was great for I had planned a walking tour of the city from this location. The Chrysler Building and Grand Central were only a block away. The Empire State Building was about 10 blocks and Times square was about 4 long blocks. The Irish Pub downstairs was busy and loud. Upon checking out the place, we found a quieter section with bench seating. The staff at the Pub were very helpful and accommodating.

Great service, larger than average rooms, helpful staff, good housekeeping, nice outside area and fantastic homemade soda bread for breakfast.

So far so good. We had a very pleasant night of sleep. The bed and room are very comfortable. Service is excellent. There is a pub with food and room service.

Fitzpatrick Grand Central was actually really nice. The location was right next to Grand Central terminal so it made transportation really easy. The rooms were a little on the small side but I don't expect too much being in NYC. Overall it was a very nice experience.

It was an excellent location at just a block from Grand Central. Getting around the city was very easy. The staff was extremely nice and the room was well kept. It's an older hotel that has been maintained well and is valued perfect. I would stay here again. Amenities will not be five stars, but it was pleasant. Great job guys.

Great location, Five star hotel in standard (doors of noisy rooms because of wood) and small double bed.

Great place to stop for drinks on the way to grand central. Food took a little while to arrive. Very nice patio area.

Cannot check in one minute earlier than 3pm. I'm wondering how full their rooms are. I thought usually a high started hotels have some flexible rooms to at least check in around noon. The reception said to call me when any room is available, but it seems that they do not care about it.

Pretty good place, large rooms for NYC. Only negative was shower, water would not stay a consistent temperature. Would stay there again. Staff was friendly.

Clean room, polite staff and while I could hear some loud music from my room it stopped by 11:30 so didn't affect sleeping. Breakfast was mediocre but I was given a set free breakfast paid for by the company I was interviewing with so can't complain.

Lovely Hotel in a great location. Staff very nice and helpful and room was spotless and in great condition. We visited in early March and it was very cold. We would have appreciated being told that we had to set the heating in the room ourselves. First night was very cold, but we managed sort it afterwards.

Excellent service. They go out of the way to be helpful. Free Wi-Fi + breakfast is a bonus.

I stayed there overnight while in New York and it was great. Really good service, the room was very comfortable, and good food at the adjacent pub. Would definitely stay there again if I find myself back in New York.

Great location. It's right near Grand Central, so getting anywhere in the city is really easy. Rooms are small, but not as tiny as other hotels in the city.

The rooms were nice with joy showers and good water pressure. However when I was there they were getting their stovetop redone so the breakfast included with my stay was lacking.

Was in a king size room. It was really nice. Pillows were soft. Room temp was good. Took a bath and a shower and the water leaked onto the floor. I don't know how but there was a lot. Might be my fault. Would say it's a 4.5 stars. Would be a 5 but I didn't feel super welcomed from the guy that checked us in.

Room was freezing but nice.

Great Location in walking distance to many major attractions and transportation routes. Off the the main "arteries" of Midtown (Park Ave, 5th, and Madison, which I believe gives you more travel flexibility with cabs. The staff was super helpful, and extremely nice. They went out of their way to be accommodating. Will stay here again.

I've stayed at the Fitzpatrick several times. It is a quaint boutique hotel in a great location. Comfortable Irish pub attached. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to see if they can help you with anything. Near the corner of 44th and Lexington.

Very nice cozy and situated in a very convenient location for touring New York.

I love the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. I'm frequently in NYC for business, and I stay here so close to Grand Central. Walk over and hit the Oyster Bar or grab a subway to anywhere. Easy to get a taxi in the morning. I've had incredible service, top to bottom, and impeccable rooms. Stayed on several floors in several different locations. Bar is hoppin' most evenings, and I can walk to Spark's Steakhouse or the Chrysler Building in 3 minutes. Only complaint, I've stayed there so much I'm really tired of the complimentary continental breakfast.

Perfect location to explore the city. Small but clean rooms, friendly service. The Bar Wheeltaper is a nice pub with a smoking area outside, but the service is terrible unfriendly.
