Beautiful venue! Great parking!

As of June 2018, the hotel is undergoing renovations. As such, the main elevators were non functional and guests and employees were using the service elevators. There are well marked large signs (with a bit of humor). The staff were very friendly. The room we were in was very recently redone with new furniture and carpet, as the desk drawers were still tight to open. I have been at this hotel quite a few times over the past few years and I can see the improvements being made.

Room is fine and so is the breakfast. When we asked about going to a nearby festival we received a free shuttle and offered a free pick up. That said, check in took almost an hour, which was ridiculous. Elevator is out of service and we needed to use the service one. That was a bit of a walk (which we were fine with) but at one point the wait was 30 minutes to go up. Room service was also poor. They came to clean our room at 5pm. When we asked them to come back in 20 minutes because our son was sleeping we were told that it's not possible because the cleaner's shift ended in 5 minutes. When we asked for 3 clean towels they only had one (they eventually came back with all of them a few minutes later).

Extremely courteous desk staff. Very accommodating when we rewuestedcan early check-in. The room is clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Good fresh food, hot and strong coffee. But there is no fan in the bathroom, no mini refrigerator, the soft drink machine is cash only, even though it's labelled credit card accessible and there's no grate to sit the ice bucket on. All the elevators are under construction and closed, except the Service Elevators. That means walking through the back hallways and bowels of the hotel to get to and from your room. It's not pleasant. Again though, the staff is quite pleasant.

Had to use service elevators which required a long walk and a long wait each time. Parking was $25 instead of $17 as advertised. First room the key cards didn't work and it was a good thing as it across from the conference party rooms. The key card worked for the next room… for 24 hours. Then to get new key cards we needed to go down the stairs or wait 30 minutes for the service elevator. We went to get breakfast and it was a $16 buffet for food barely one step above free buffets at a more reasonable hotel. Smoking area right outside the front door (blah! ). The staff was generally friendly (Angel was a great guy) and the room was clean and had comfortable beds, so two stars instead of one. Get your act together Riverside!

Inside of hotel was beautiful; rooms were nice. Huge issue with key cards for rooms; only service elevators worked and because I went for a convention, those 2 elevators could not accommodate all of us. Escalators were broken on and off. Bar should’ve opened other sitting area since it was a convention. One guy at front desk was really rude about checking out. Most other staff were really good though. Hotel was really warm.

It was alright. While I was there it was under construction and I had to walk long distances through what I seemed like a dungeon to get to my room. The hotel is old and has odd odors. The day I was checking out, at 830 AM a cleaning lady entered my room without knocking. I did inform the front desk and they apologized. Staff was very nice, but I wasn't exactly impressed by this hotel.

Always a plus when you have a fridge with a workable freezer AND a microwave! Once the elevators are repaired it'll be better.

Great place, all the amenities, near everything. Price of rooms is pricey.

To be honest, my friends and I went into our stay here with fairly low expectations due to reading too many negative reviews. We were all PLEASANTLY surprised at every turn — from our smooth check in with a very accommodating and patient Jesse, to check out. They're still working out some kinks. We had a room key hiccup (really, what hotel doesn't? ) that was met with prompt, pleasant delivery of new keys for all by a kid named Tahj who showed up with the hugest smile on his face, like he was so happy to bring us those damn keys. And the elevators are still out, but taking the service elevator was made much more tolerable by all the staff we ran into (and you run into a LOT of staff when you're in the service halls of a hotel). The picture of hospitality at every turn. Every staff member we ran into was kind, gracious, welcoming and just down-right hospitable. We were there St. Patrick's Day weekend and they were slammed — they all easily could have been miserable. Room was clean and comfortable, bar had a great staff, restaurant staff was fab and the buffet was really good. No complaints from us!

Great staff! Make sure you get a room in the new section. The vintage part of the hotel has a revolting suer smell.

It's VERY busy in the lobby. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Elevators were inconveniently slow in arriving at our floor and we couldn't get out of the parking garage for half an hour (gate wouldn't work). We were here for two nights and couldn't estimate timing for the wedding events (not held at the hotel). At that time, I wasn't physically able to manage six flights of stairs. I would certainly return but I'd ask about the elevators working or not.

I stayed here for a conference. The room we we're in was recently remodeled however seemed though some corners were cut. Some of the tile in the bathroom wasn't properly installed… which you think would be an area of concern. The hotel seemed to be shaped pretty weird and a lot of rooms didn't really have a view of anything. At least it was located close to the convention center and other things in walking distance. There is a restaurant at the hotel, and although I didn't eat there I heard it wasn't that great. There is breakfast at the hotel, but isn't included. On a positive note, the staff was always very friendly and willing to help me out. (Whether I needed my parking validated, or needed my room key re coded! ) Oh, and parking is free!

This hotel is kind of run down and threadbare. I've stayed here twice for business conferences, and wasn't terribly impressed with the facilities either time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the physical hotel is showing its age. The carpets look old. The rooms are somewhat dated. This last time, the card reader on my room door didn't work correctly. Sometimes it would open on the first try… But most of the time it took 10-15 swipes to unlock.

Pretty shameful. Neglect and an obvious lack of care on the part of the owners, balanced solely by the kindness of the staff. Our two night stay was expensive and uncomfortable. It was a bit of a surreal odyssey from the time we parked in the garage to checkout. Grim is the word for the physical setting. We kept our socks on at all times and avoided going back to the room until we had to. Most of the staff were lovely, given they're stewarding a dying monolith (apparently it's been sold and the old ownership is obviously not putting a dime into it anymore). The town is booked for homecoming events so out choices were slim, or we would've moved. We could have been more comfortable for half the price at Motel 6.

Not good. Overcharged us when we got there. (Computer glitch when we booked and paid over a month before our stay. ) No refrigerator, microwave or even an alarm clock in our run down room. Was told we could upgrade to a room with those. I wanted to use my Carlson rewards points to upgrade. Was told I could not do that. I think almost $1000 for a 5 night stay in such a hole (Am being nice. ) Was way too much. If it weren' t for a great friend paying the overcharge, we would've lost a day.

The hotel is downtown, close to everything. Parking and breakfast were not included in the price. The room was nice, and our bed was comfortable. The elevators were not working properly. Out of 4, only 1 elevator was responding. And then it would not necessarily take you to the floor you want, so you still had to navigate the stairs.

The service was terrible the wait staff was behind in serving the food they practically we're throwing the food in front of you. Food wasn't good then at dessert they we're frozen not fresh and they didn't offer coffee had cups on the table but didn't offer any. Just terrible.

The Radisson is an OK hotel for road warriors. Parking is $17 a night for guests. The hotel inside easily let's you know it could use a fresh coat of paint, but isn't completely rundown. There are 4 elevators, and as of this review, should probably get inspected, they tend to take floor requests as a suggestion rather than a command. Depending on how lucky you are, you may be given breakfast /drink vouchers, which is nice. All in all, it's a lower cost option for staying in downtown Rochester.

A beautiful hotel right on the river in downtown Rochester. The hotel does need some updates as their equipment is aging. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They're directly across from the convention center if you are looking for a larger space for your meetings.

The air conditioner in my room did not work so I asked to change to a different room. The clerk at the front desk was very nice and gave me a much better room. Upgraded to a king bed with refrigerator and microwave in room. The fitness center is very hot and needs some updates.

I was here the other day for a conference, but I also got engaged here. The staff was so friendly, the room service was great, and the hotel was clean and pleasant. The chandeliers in the lobby are gorgeous! The front desk brought up chocolate covered strawberries and champagne when we told them it was our 5th anniversary free of charge. I would definitely (and have) stay here again.

Awesome venue, staff and food. As a Sheet Metal worker for Local in Rochester NY for the past 25 years I have frequented this location many times from fund raising events/dinners, conferences and also my Local's 100 year Anniversary was held here a while back. I have never been disappointed with the food, staff, service or venue. Keep up the good work RRCC!

Came here for a church conference for the week. The service left a lot to be desired. The elevators are atrocious only 2 of the 4 work, and they skip floors, don't open level to the ground. Just the worst. Honestly felt as though the elevators in this place are a death trap. We called for bath tissue, towels and wash cloths over 2 hours ago and still have gotten nothing. This place isn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Never again. The staff is a mixture of professional and unprofessional. Their cleaning staff halfway cleaned the room, no garbage was taken out and no bathroom tissue left. The keys to the room would continually deactivate and the staff attempts to make you feel bad for their ineffective equipment I just would stay at the Hyatt across the street.

Was here for a week and the didn't clean the room on two separate occasions. Called down to the front desk the first time and was promised they would come up and clean the room, well they never did. Called back when I returned to the room and was told they went home for the day. Had to ask for clean towels which they brought up around 11 pm. The second time had to make three calls to the front desk before someone came to clean the entire room. They have four elevators and only two worked. Out of those two one skipped floors the other would stop short of the floor and you would have to step up or step down when entering or exiting. No trash cans on the ballroom level. I think I'll stop there you get the picture.

Oh God, where do I start! The most serious problem I encountered here was regarding the sheets we got which looked like they were never changed from the previous guests and had hair on the pillow and what looked like blood stains on the sheets. Thank goodness I always look at them in the light before lying down! Also, in your life you will never use worse elevators that take forever to get to you and then miss floors over and over despite having staff with you in the elevator to push the buttons for you (I just ended up using the stairs to get to my HIGH floor). This hotel seriously needs to be renovated big time.

Not a great value for the money. Smallish, but clean, rooms have no fridges. Many maintenance issues while we were there — 2 out of 4 elevators weren't working, and escalator broken as well. No free breakfast as with many other chains; there's a restaurant on site that charges $9 per person for a buffet breakfast. Very poor signage in lobby; you'll have to ask to be able to find the pool or fitness room. Staff is friendly but not overly concerned about requests for extras. We asked 3 times for a rollaway bed for our daughter but never got one. I'd skip this one if you can find a vacancy elsewhere.

The parking was a little wonky, one my friends came to visit and ended up staying the night with me and almost had to pay for parking, if not for the card the lady at the counter gave me. The rooms are actually pretty nice, I definitely wasn't expecting such a nice hotel considering the location. I ended up booking two separate nights. My last day in NY wasn't so bad, even though I had to be up at around 4 in the morning… *sigh* there was a little old guy that said he had worked there for years and he was pretty cool. Brought me coffee, carried my stuff, talked to me. It was kinda weird only because I've never been treated so well by staff anywhere before. If I have money when I go back in a couple years, I'd definitely go again.

Always a algarete or tdds side, there are cituaciones and no one does anything or even l maneger, curto some clean or other in disguise.

Staff was friendly whilst checking in was long for the holiday party, food was good but the drinks selections were bare for the open bar. The live music was great while the djs were sub par, had an altercation that didn't escalate but no security in sight to meditate. Overall a pleasant but less than impressive experience.

We stayed at the radisson for their NYE party. They put on a great event. They had a good variety of food and beverages, plenty of bars, a dj room and a live band room. The hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. They had sleep number beds in all the rooms which was super nice after a long night of drinking and dancing.

Came for the New Year's Eve party — the food was under cooked (beef was raw) and then they closed Legends bar an hour early "per the General Manager" which is ridiculous since they are open until 2am every other night of the year. My sister had her wedding here and I thought I loved this place and would recommend it to others but after tonight… don't waste your money on this place. Spent $400 tonight for a new years eve package for $100 worth of fun — not worth the price.

Rooms were great although the room service hid the gratuity when we ordered up. All in all it was a great wedding weekend!

The roomkeeping is good and the hotel asthetic is very nice. It is also in a good area with many restaurants and cafes that are waking distance. The bathroom cleanliness good be a little better. Overall an amazing experience and customer care and help desk is great.

Not impressed with this hotel. 1. Three days before my arrival, there was a shooting in the hotel and a 19 year-old kid was killed. It was a dispute between two guests. Had I not been attending a conference, I probably would have changed hotels. BTW, the conference notified me about the shooting — I would have expected the same courtesy from the hotel. 2. The restaurants nearby are slim pickings. Legends (in the hotel) is your standard hotel bar food — nothing to get excited about. 3. The Wi-Fi in my room didn't work. The hotel staff said "reboot and try again" — standard non-IT helpdesk support options, but as most people know, never actually fixes anything. 4. Outdated and old looking hotel. The A/C unit in my room was exceptionally loud and kept me awake most nights. One nice aspect — free shuttle to and from the airport.

In light of the recent murder at the radisson hotel rochester ny. The hotel needs to be sold immediately to responsible owners, that will take care of it. I called the front desk and spoke to hannah the day after the murder of a young good man (a bernie supporter) who the very next morning was quite jovial. This not a laughing matter. during my next stay at the radisson, I was shifted 4 xs never offered me any free stays for my inconvenience. To different rooms. Room 1 punched in closet. Faucet fell off room 2 electrical problems. Room 3 broken bed room broken bed crying rooms from all the abuse the current owners and their staff have done this and I hate them for it. Except for clarissa and the gift shop girls and the waiter gong and the waitresses. Some of the cooks. None of the maintenance. And the men who carry your bags took my suitcase into the back office and went through it looking for a wire. The poor gift shop workers have to have an electrical space heater just to keep from getting frost bite in the winter. The rooms are filthy from lack of care with the current owner. I am on crutches and the handicap door opener does not work and I was hit by the heavy glass doors. In front of hotel at the entrance to the right of the drive-way the pillar is falling apart and broken! this beautiful hotel deserves so much better than what the current owners have done to it! they also are getting $250.

Very nice rooms with a beautiful river view. Did have a broken lock on our bathroom, but other than that it is a gorgeous room. Comfortable and warm beds and cold air conditioning. Pool is nice but heater was broken so it was very cold. There is a refreshing sauna and a nice workout area. Overall a nice stay.

I have stayed here annually for conferences for some time now. Rooms could use a refurb, but good location and courteous, professional staff encourage me to return. I have not had issues with cleanliness during my stays. Sports bar and restaurant are not highlights for me, and I do not willingly go there. Wifi reasonably fast. Dislike paying for parking.

I went to an event social in the Grand Ballroom. The decorations were nice, and clean bathrooms. The waiters were very professional and attended us very well.

Staff was great very friendly and approachable for everything. The rooms were large, I think we had the entire floor, all the bartenders were awesome.

Enjoyed a great Conference here. The food was delicious, including the unexpected mac 'n cheese bar. The staff was friendly and hospitable — overall great experience.

The rooms and the front desk were more than adequate, and the restaurant (Legends) was actually really good, but the bar service was pretty thin for a Friday night and getting food was really frustrating. Once we got it, the food was great.

Me and my wife stayed at the Radisson Riverside Hotel while attending the "Monster Ball" on October 30, 2015. When we parked in the parking garage we tried to find a cart to carry our cooler and luggage but we were unable to find one. The signage to find things was lacking tremendously. Many other customers felt the same way. The lobby is extremely outdated especially the carpet. The lobby, which should dazzle as a "first impression" … was quite the opposite. The rooms are extremely outdated and small. The ceiling tiles … everywhere… in the lobby and conference areas are stained from water leaks and need to be replaced. On a positive note … each employee that we had contact with was fantastic. The manager who was at his post at the top of the escalator even posed in a witches hat for us to take his picture. I was impressed by one of the maintenance men who had a great big smile and a genuine "Good morning"

Obtained rooms for 4 for total 6 nights. Different reservations. Some rooms faced the parking lot, a couple faced the river. The cheap ones. I questioned it and they said manager notes indicated no added parks, upgrades, welcome drink coupon, changes etc. Etc. Asked for brandy at bar but told "only Cognac" available. Actually only one cheap brandy/Cognac available at bar. Rooms worn and A/C wierd temp settings as others mentioned, but clean and bathroom well maintained. It is convenient for the area. I picked based on other better reviews as need urgent, but more starts might be some mistake or inexperience. 3 stars is charitable.

This is a beautiful hotel. We got there on Friday and the room was 79° in the hotel room and after 3 hours it only went down one degree with the AC set at 53. I went to the front desk and they sent someone up to replace the whole unit then it was wonderful. They gave us 4 free breakfasts for the inconvenience which was Excellent. The hotel staff was very polite all weekend until Sunday Morning when we were leaving the parking garage and the hotel clerk gave us a problem with not having to pay to get out the garage after I was told the night before that it was free. He needs to learn manners and also know we were there for a conference. This is why the hotel got 4 Stars instead of 5 because of the rude attendant when leaving.

I really enjoyed myself. I had a beautiful room, food was very good and the service as well. A first I didn't like the area of my room and the front desk gladly changed myroom with no problems.

I recently stayed at this hotel, the Rochester Riverside, over the weekend of July 10-12. While in the past I had pleasant stays at Radisson hotels, after this last experience I'm not sure I would return. There were two main reasons for this: first, I was promised a group rate as part of a block booking for our soccer team of about $150 per night. However, due to some confusion, when I called to book the room, I was told they were sold out, and I had to pay the rate, paid in advance, no cancellations, at about $250 a night. Strange considering I'm one of the parents! Since obviously as part of a soccer team, I could not really stay somewhere else than the team without excluding my daughter from her team essentially, I feel I was gouged at this rate. The booking agent and the manager I spoke to at the Radisson offered no flexibility, understanding, offers in kind, or any kind of client service that I have typically received at the Radisson as a regular business traveller and loyalty member. Second the state of the hotel was dirty, overbooked, and one of 3 elevators was down for the entire weekend, leaving people with 20 minute waits to go both up and down in the elevator. Since my room was on the 15th floor, stairs were not a regular option. Really not impressed. I do have to say despite this, the people working there remained professional and positive.

The staff were so accommodating. I had to fly in last minute for the passing of a parent. When I got to the room there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a sympathy card attached. They really went above and beyond for me during that hard time.

Good stay musty smell in ice room, service desk wasnt the most helpful.

The rooms were rundown with the walls peeling off. The service and elevators were crazy slow and water broke through the pipes and leaked everywhere including 5 floors down. Also the employees were very rude at times.

Hotel room was outdated but clean. Their parking deck for $15 a night has a lot of construction going on and is difficult to get around. For a last minute booking at $65 +tax a night, not a bad place to stay.

I had a wedding there in September which they required me to pay $5, 000 more then my contracted amount, made my food with garlic (i'm allergic) which they knew to make my food separate being the bride, and they over cooked all the steak diners they promised would be medium. I continue to call and send e-mails and they will not call me back. HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Otherwise, the rest of the experience wasn't so bad. They lady I first worked with who left the day after I signed my contract :/ was amazing.

The hotel was actually not bad. It's in a decently walkable area, but with a lot of methed out tweekers walking the street one block up. I waited for their airport hotel shuttle for 1 hour. My wife waited 1.5 hours when she came in the next day. My driver said the previous driver did not inform him I was waiting (I called front desk 3 times and they kept saying any minute), and her driver said there was an emergency that took a 2nd driver away (though the hotel told me there was a delayed wedding party that required a shuttle). The really bad thing was after a 2 nights' stay, I left with about 30 bedbug bites all over my arms and back. Room 1136. My wife killed one bedbug in the morning, hopefully that was it, but I have a sneaking suspicion there are probably more.

I stayed at the Radisson Hotel 5 days. The desk clerks as well as the room service were all professional and responsive to any and all issues that I had. I inadvertently hit the select button for a movie which they removed from the charges. The breakfast buffet was reasonably price and offered a different variety of breakfast items each day. The room was clean, temperature control was adequate and quiet. I'd recommend this hotel for business as well as for recreation. Enjoyable stay.

I haven't even stayed there yet but I hope this isn't indicative of the experience when I do. I called trying to make a reservation (nothing complicated just a one night stay) and the first time (because there were multiple times) I got transferred twice and then hung up on. Called back again and got transferred again, was on hold for 5 minutes and then was told to call back in 10 minutes and was hung up on. Called back in 10 minutes. Was transferred. Lady at registration asked what I wanted, told her to make a reservation on so and so date, she said "hold on lemme transfers you" and got an automated message saying they were unable to make reservations at this time. Ended up making the reservation online. The website was awesome though. Use the website if you can.

We loved our stay. We came for an event at the conference center. Very convenient, and I wish I'd had more time to explore the area. (Luckily we had time to walk to the waterfall and the Genessee Brewery, a nice local outing. ) Instead I spent most of my time working and eating at the hotel restaurant or room service, so I can vouch for nice food, a pleasant bar, a clean comfortable room, and excellent service throughout. The staff was extremely thoughtful and friendly. We also enjoyed the river view.
