Very very dirty place! Don’t ever stay here!

I'm not pleased with this motel at all. They put me in a room with no fridge or microwave, which is extremely inconvenient. The sheets were ripped and shredded. I asked if I could switch my room to a room with 2 beds for my kids, they told me they don't allow dogs in the 2 bed rooms (I had my black lab with me). The housekeepers don't clean the rooms that well. I will not stay here ever again.

I checked in, went into the room, the curtain is coming off the wall. The sheets are stained, the wall has stains, there is hair on the bathroom floor and the chair is broken. I walked in and felt itchy.

Very loud metal ice buckets, check. Doors that slam with great force at all hours of the night everywhere, check. The roof didn't leak and the breakfast was okay.

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BEDBUGS will welcome you as you enter the room, I was in Room 129 for 2 nights when complained they have locked the room and found tons of bugs (as per room service staff) and I was moved to room 225 and even there I found bugs were moving freely, I left my 3 pairs of dresses in room and checked out, This is one of the worst hotels I have ever been in, I have booked this through Expedia, I have been calling them to complain about this. I don't get any response. I have told all my colleagues who frequently travel to Rochester not to get into this Motel. I had to suffer those bites for almost couple of weeks. The previous day before checkout I was informed I will get 25% discount for being bedbugs guest, but during checkout they said, get well and see you soon! Worst management, Worst staff, Manager is seen very rarely on the property and is very rude.

Clean, polite staff, decent breakfast… No protein choices or fresh fruits. Does have fresh milk. Juice and coffee comes from a 'drink mix machine'

Ok at best. The room was small, the queen size bed wasn't as large as a regular queen size bed, there was a strange smell in the room, but overall ok. Breakfast was okay as well.

Rooms and beds are extra small, we were not offered double beds and it was three people in a room it cost more for a non smoking room that a smoking room, and the smoking room smelled like a group of people had just had a smoke party when we walked in! So my daughter who is on dialysis had to sleep on the window seal that's over the air conditioner… Oh and it was very over priced for the rooms to be as small as they are… The only way I would stay here again is if everything was booked.

There were no safety bars in shower and shower sprayed over shower curtain onto floor making it slippery. Otherwise good stay. Very quiet!

The price, cleanliness, etc were all acceptable. Nothing special nor anything to mark it condemned. You basically get what you pay for with this hotel. The staff was nice and the rooms appeared to be newly renovated.

Affordable motel with 2 floors (without elevator) with practically furnished rooms that are large enough and offer everything you need. In the morning until 9 am there is free Continental Breakfast with coffee, tea and juices. Easy to reach from I-390.

Felt like I was going to get broken into any minute. Felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. Rooms and the Hall ways were so weird and sketchy. You can hear noises from the water pipes from other rooms. It's so loud that it's hard to sleep though it. Will NOT recommend to anyone. Worst hotel in Rochester.

It was a good visit. Felt the rooms werent as nice as they could be. But it was a good place for a quick rest.

The room was clean, though looked old and tired. Old gatorade bottle under the bed makes me think staff does not thoroughly clean. The shower did not function correctly. Was decent for a reasonable price.

The price was right for our weekend concert trip. Place was okay. Nothing fancy, a little dingy, but it was a great budget hotel. Staff was friendly. Complimentary continental breakfast was a little lacking but it was a nice optuon to have. Location was great though. Convenient to our destination and some intersting stuff nearby to kill time.

Nice place overall. Great price and value. Clean room. Friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. Terrible breakfast. I recommend Microel, but go elsewhere for breakfast.

Older hotel. Relatively clean but needs much more updating. Beds must be full size not queen size. Groat around tub needed to be replaced. Breakfast area had nothing but bread type items and ran out of napkins and paper towels. Flimsy paper cups for coffee. Burned myself trying to carry coffee to a table. Smelled like cigarette smoke when you are in hallways. Not a restful stay.

Other than the two maids slugging in the morning in the lobby — — which required 3 police officers to settle — — it was a decent stay. Make sure you ask for one of the renovated rooms and do NOT take the optional maid headlock or powerbomb move. Let them do that to each other.

They will lie to you. They said that they told me to stop pacing around, but they never did. After people complained about it they just through me out without any warning because they were two cowardly to talk to me about it. They lied and said they warned me just so that they could throw me out without and not deal with it. The people who work here are scumbags, especially that fat dude that works the front desk most of the time. Do not go to this hotel, they are sleazy and don't have any morals. Go to any hotel accept this one. I promise you'll get better service.

Upon arriving this place smelt very disgusting. As me and my guests were walking to our room we noticed that a dog had defected in the hallways and it was not cleaned. Once we got to our room I noticed our TV was not working so I asked the man downstairs why. He gave me a brief explanation that I just had to change the input which I did, and still nothing so we just decided not to watch TV. Once we left I remembered that I had left a gold necklace on the nightstand in a very obvious spot and called (maybe 5 hours after check out) to have it sent back to me. They told me nothing was left and they had found nothing of the sort. When going over the bill we noticed we were charged an extra $50 for ‘breaking’ the TV. Do not come here unless you want your belongings stolen, to step in dog feces, or to be charged for something you were not responsible for.

This hotel is the worst experience I have ever had. Upon checkout we noticed our car had been blocked in by a plow. It is not that the maintenance department had plowed. They just pushed the snow behind all of the cars in the lot. It took us over 45 minutes to get out. The only way we did get out was to call our own plow and pay him 50$ to plow the parking lot. The worst part is that the maintenance man was outside with a shovel and watched us struggle with our hands moving the snow while all he did was smoke. When we asked him for the shovel he replied “this one is mine, ask the desk”. The front desk clerk was more than helpful and he even got us a shovel and a window scraper for our car. I have been a maintenance man for 15 years and have never seen such negligence in my life. Beware!

Cereal, Bagels, and coffee that was it. I will start with the plus side and that's only one thing. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was located on a main strip, right where my wife and me could get everything we needed. Now onto the rest of the review. The room is very small and the walls you can hear through them with no problem. The night before we left we could hear our neighbors t. V. Not only that but you can hear someone going in out of their rooms, if they were in the same hall as you. The water pressure was terrible. We didn't bother to shower while we were there out of fear of the cleanliness of the tub. On our wall in our bathroom it looked like someone had literally took their hand, wiped their nose on their hand, then wiped it on the wall. It was terribly disgusting. Luckily we brought our own blankets to sleep on top of the comforter with. No way was I going to trust sleeping on their sheets after I saw hand prints on the wall behind our bed. I don't know if they refuse to clean it off, or what, and this isn't just our room either. Our friends who were attending the same wedding said they saw it behind theirs too. I def. Will not be going back when we decide to go back to NY. If I could rate this hotel lower I would.

Our client David Rosen recently stayed here while on tour and had a great night! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room was perfect, clean and quiet. There was a really good free breakfast in the morning as well!

Dont book here. They dont honor your reservation. booked a non smoking room. Called hours before I arrived to give them heads up. They confirmed availability. When arrived they said only room left was a non-smoking room which the previous guests complained smelled like smoke. Thais because it's is 100% a smoking room. Staff is inadequately supported by owner and it reflects on their poor attitude towards guests and the poor status of this motel.

I was only delivering to a guest at the establishment but assistance was quick and precise. The overall atmosphere was fairly pleasant and I could see myself staying a night or two there.

My wife and I recently came to Rochester for a wedding and we're happy that we chose the Microtel over the other places in the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also loved the renovations. The room was clean and comfortable. We made it down just in time for breakfast and it was just what we needed for a quick bite before heading back home. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area!

Why bother to make a reservation if they sell your room right from under you. I have been staying at this hotel for a year, half the time I don't know if I have a room to stay in! I'm a travel RN that works nights so I need to sleep during the day! This hotel has a nurse traveler rate which is a nice discount when traveling on a tight budget! However that doesn't mean a thing when you show up after working all night only to find the hotel sold your room that you had reserved. I am so tired and upset, feel stuck, I can't drive home and double back it's too far… I don't think I will be coming back!

Pretty much as expected. We couldn't find a vacancy for a hundred miles so we were stuck staying here. The sheets didn't fit the bed right and unfortunately I saw what the mattress looked like underneath. The bathroom had some mold in it as well.

It didn't seem entirely professional. The rooms were small and the halls smelled awful. That said, the hostess was extremely friendly and helpful.

The Microtel in Henrietta is a basic hotel. It is reasonable clean but small and sparse on amenities. It is convenient to RIT so if you just need a place to sleep and shower it's a great bargain. If you are the type to hang out in your room then I'd suggest other options.

This is a very basic place but everything was clean and worked and the staff was kind and pleasant, so what more do you want from a $50 hotel room? We came in pretty late and were just looking for a place to stay for the night on a long road trip. Room smelled fine and the bathroom and bed were clean. Basic free breakfast that was tasty. Area seemed fine too. There was an unfortunate occurrence in the middle of the night which is why I knocked stars off. Whoever checked us in put the wrong number into the computer so when somebody else came in at like 2 am they rented out that number because the staff had changed at midnight and the new staff person of course would not know which rooms were taken except by what the computer says. We were woken up at 2 am by someone trying to open the door (we had the inside lock on though). I was like "Uhhhh hello? " and the man was very surprised to see someone in the room of course! He apologized and then went back to the office to work things out. I got a call on the phone to verify who I was and yea, then it was fine after that and we got back to sleep, but it was very annoying to get a scare like that.

Didn't find many of the horrible negatives reported by other reviewers. The room and bath were acceptably clean, the front desk staff pleasant, and overall an acceptable place. This Microtel, however, was not up to the usual immaculate new standards of almost all the other Microtels I've stayed at — the place was worn in places, was not sparkling bright or clean, and most surprisingly, did not have an elevator to the second floor! Repeat — You have to carry your luggage up stairs to get to the second floor.

Super friendly staff. Cleanliness 3 of 5. Fridge smells. But parking is plentiful. Internet is good. Tv is great. Breakfast is not extremely simple could be much better. Overall 3.5 out of 5

A more appropriate name for this hotel would be MicroTowel. The room was tiny, claustrophobic. We could hear people cough through the wall and understand what they had on their TV. Sheets were not fresh. Got fresh set from front desk staff. Bathroom mildewy in the corners. Like a tired old Red Roof with hourly customers. Shabby.

I stayed on the ground floor in a basic 1-queen room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi is really fast and reliable. Breakfast is pretty basic with mostly just bagels and muffins, but you can't beat the price.

This place was dirty and disappointing. Hand prints all over the walls, dirt crusted on the bathroom floor, noisy neighbors; the only good thing about this place was the price. It's barely even worth the price we paid, though. Our room didn't even have an iron, which we really needed since we were in a wedding that weekend. All other Microtels we have ever stayed in were very nice, this has been the only exception. This place needs some serious updates and a thorough cleaning.

This is a one star hotel at best. If you are ok with hair on the towels in the bathrooms, pubic hair on the sheets, and paper thin walls, then go ahead and book a room. Front desk people were nice but cannot fix anything. Vending machines were empty so they told us to just go to Tim Hortons next door. This place reminded me of a run down youth hostel. It's in a prime location, but is basically a flea bag hotel. We stayed at a Microtel before and assumed this one would be ok based on the brand. We didn't stay more than one night… never again!

Had an early check in no problem, however the first floor room smelled awful, musty. Fridge was mouldy inside, microwave was filthy inside, bed had stained linen and sagged to the middle. Could hear noise from every room. Easily the worst place I have ever stayed. Could not wait to shower and wash everything we brought with us as soon as we got home. Cheap price for a good reason. Never again.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Easy to access from the highway. Clean room, nice TV, comfy bed, and continental breakfast in the AM. I got exactly what I paid for; who can argue with that? Would stay here again.

The room was adequate and had everything expected. We requested a non smoking and got put in a disability room which was entertaining. The location is very close to Rochester and a decent mall.

Stayed here on trip to RIT, and was surprised at the room size but then again the name says it all. Overall it was OK but I felt uncomfortable in a strange way. Had to go next door to get real Coffee. Carpet was nasty looking and room was noisy. Place needs refurbishing badly. My advice is ask lots of questions before you book, no surprises then.

We went to this hotel for 2 nights. The price was there, Sunday-Tuesday was $93. Upon arrival the room seemed clean and updated. However, in our first floor room we had baby ants on our nightstand. Making it impossible to leave things out, we always had to be ready for that. Other than that the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

Old beat up rooms and spotted linens. Every noise from outside and upstairs echos. Paint peeling and shower moldy. When I mentioned the spotted linens the desk person at checkout said she would "note that for me". What does that mean? Did a priceline and got stuck here. Last time I got extended stay america but got this place instead. The 2 associates at check in were very friendly.

Bed bugs, cigarette holes in the comforters, no screen on the windows so no fresh air. Wish I'd found the bed bugs the night before so I'd know to stay somewhere else.

Nasty. Missing soap, low toilet paper, poor breakfast, room smelled, carpets gross. Need I say more.

Do not stay here because the sheets that they give you are not clean. The manager and staff will also enter your room without your presence to do who knows what.

The *first* Microtel apparently. I'm a big fan of this hotel chain, it's the only reason I ever took interest in the Wyndham brand based on my first experience which just so happened to be staying in the other microtel that's in the Rochester area. That hotel was in a different ballpark altogether than other budget hotels, and since then microtel had been my go-to budget hotel that has never disappointed. This location is, according to the sign at the front desk, the original location from 1986. Being a fan of the chain that was really cool to stumble upon — the only reason I chose this one instead of the other one I'd stayed at in the past was slight location advantage this time around and price, about $15 cheaper. I was just dead tired so went with the cheaper of the two. Definitely not nearly as nice as the other location, but for the price I paid I guarantee there's still no other hotel out there that could touch it. I stay at a lot of hotels! Internet was relatively good, front desk was cordial, room was clean and well designed. The design is pretty much the exact same as any other microtel out there except for a few minor items — no padding on the bench, slightly different desk, and the fact that it's obviously older than any of them since it was the first. That said, it's a great design that hasn't been improved on much at all in newer ones.

The Microtel in Rochester/ Henrietta was the worst hotel we experienced during our trip through several states. It was over priced with a horrible "breakfast" and the morning person had an attitude. More importantly, it was filthy with left over human residue everywhere and the building was run down and "shabby". If you have no where else to stay, save your marriage and keep driving.

Work sends me here regularly. Most times the rooms smell. There is always noise in the halls and adjoining rooms. The information that the front desk has about my reservation isn't always correct. On three occasions I have been woken IP from the fire alarm due to toast on fire in the toaster. Do they clean? I have had toilets that run all the time, broken TV remotes, missing "do not disturb" signs and other small things. This is not a place I recommend staying. Work sends me because it is cheap.

It's a discount hotel — clean, simple and convenient. The total for one night was $75. Coffee and bagels in the a. M. The woman behind the desk was pleasant. Reasonable and a good value. Right off the Thruway. No complaints.

HOUSEKEEPIING GOES THRU YOUR STUFF! I would not recommend this place for anyone. First of all, the place is old, smells awful — mainly like cigarettes. The numerous staff members I dealt with were simply unable to operate their own computer system and got me stuck in a smoking room. Also, and MOST DISTURBING is that their housekeeping snoops through your stuff. I noticed things INSIDE my luggage were moved around. Another way I know they do that is that I left a few doodles of some fictional buildings and a fictional city skyline (City designing is a hobby of mine — thank you SimCity). The staff when cleaning my room when through my drawings and were so disturbed by innane drawings of buildings along a beautiful lakefront that they called the FBI on me. The agents woke up in the morning and were quite civil and I was able to clarify the benign nature of drawings — but this left me very disturbed by the hotel staff. I would not recommend this place ever. Very paranoid, perhaps bigoted staff.
