I attended the Connecticut Salsa Fest at this hotel, and I thought the hotel staff helped the event run smoothly. Parking for the event was affordable, and room that I went into was clean and well-air conditioned (which is important for a dance event). I really enjoy this venue!

My exprience at this hotel was not very good. The rooms were okay at first but problematic later. There was a huge brown stain on our couch bed, and they refused to replace it. So, they just covered it with sheets. The showers leaked, and water covered the floors of the bathroom. The second day I was there was a strike going on outside that disturbed everyone in the lobby and the rooms around it. The food was terrible. The eggs were watery, and the fish tasteless. I would not come here again.

The front entrance and meeting rooms of this location are truly stunning. The food they serve for breakfast was delicious, extremely well presented and the wait staff were professional and attentive. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were inviting. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at this location. They offer self parking along with valet parking both a fee.

My company’s food and lodging folks put me up here while restoring power to the Newtown/Oxford area. They hit a home run, I have stayed at the Mar**** Stamford and it’s sister hotel but the Hilton is the best hotel in Stamford in my opinion. Everything was clean, food was hot and it wasn’t a hassle to park. A-Plus.

Always great service and clean rooms. Especially after their recent renovations. This hotel has played the scene for many conventions and I'm never dissapointed. Close to the city and beautiful grounds.

Clean rooms. Very comfortable stay. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. The staff for both evening and morning shifts were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful lobby and large guest rooms but not much else to write home about. They don't maintain the place as well as they should. Also, the heating/cooling units in the room are modern looking but quite poor in quality. A decent place to sleep but little more.

Very nice for a conference center. The main area is very nice but the rooms are just slightly dated. Everything is nice and clean and staff is very Friendly. The hotel is very accommodating for large groups. Also the public bathrooms on the conference floor could use an update. Would go here again.

When you see the hotel from outside and when you come inside, you expect the same from customer service representatives as well. I wasn't happy with checking service but check out was better. I guess they have to interview their stuff again. Buffet is definitely needs more people. It was nearly impossible to order the food. I was never been offered a cup of coffee. Room was clean.

Hotel location and interior are nice. Very friendly reception and restaurant staff, breakfast was ok, dinner excellent. Room was spacious and clean, bathroom clean and properly maintained. Room service wasn't acceptable, took 1hr 20 min instead of promised 40 min or less. Pizza was ok, red beat and goat cheese salad didn't have any beats at all (I'm fine with kitchen running out of certain ingredients, but some sort of explanation wouldn't have hurt). Pool area lacks proper maintenance, though designed nicely. Heating didn't seem to work. Whirlpool didn't work for 2 days in the midweek.

Work put me up here due to a snow storm. Nice hotel, rooms are clean and spacious, staff is great. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and because of the storm the hotel was at capacity and some of the kitchen staff couldn't get in. We waited a long time for our meals but the waitresses and staff were apologetic and did everything they could to keep us happy. I wouldn't have wanted to be in there shoes, they all worked as hard as they could. Good stay overall, I'll be returning.

My stay was decent overall. The room was very nice and the restaurant served incredible food! Unfortunately the valet service was substandard and the service was not so phenomenal.

Hotel has decent amenities (fitness center, restaurant, etc). Hotel room was good, but definitely had it's fair share of wear and tear (shower head was loose and all but detached from the wall, cracked/peeling ceiling sections, etc). Bed was comfortable and the room temperature was stable. Overall it's a decent place to stay.

The service, the rooms, the food, and the general feeling of comfort were egregious. I have never had such a poor experience at a Hilton hotel. There was literally nothing that was good about my experience there. Unlike other Hilton hotels, this hotel was dirty, the staff could not understand what a synthetic pillow was, the housekeeping staff threw away all of my toiletries and bedside reading, the chef at the restaurant could not read the menu (or did not choose to make the dishes on the menu), and the front desk staff did not become pleasant until they saw for themselves why I would not come back. The only reasons that I did not give one star are the one server at the restaurant who was excellent (despite the nastiness of the food), and the one person at the front desk that did not treat me as though I crawled out of the sewer. Be Cautious when you stay here. Be Very Cautious.

Awesome place to stay. Shuttle service to train to NYC literally 3 mins away. Train to NYC less than an hour. Ru s late I to the night.

Greeted professionally by all staff, courteous bellman, clean facility. Parking expensive. Room heating unit noisy and bathroom decor needs freshening up. Bed was fairly comfortable. The corner rooms also have a nice view, but it's a long walk!

Just book one of the other decent hotels in Stamford. This place is terrible. Booked this hotel for a night of respite midway home on a long trip, and aimed to check in late (11pm). One king suite. Called the hotel at 10am that morning, and was informed that everything was fine with my reservation. When I arrive at the hotel, they have given my room to other guests and (after verifying that I wasn't a Hilton Honors member, told me I would have to settle for a basic double full room. Charges $20 for parking, with a torturously full lot. Found black hairs under the sheets in one of the beds.

Definitely could use a remodel. The room looked it was directly out of the 80s, but it was fine for us. Room 871 was a corner room with a view of the water.

Staff very friendly and professional. Accommodating as well. Location is very near to NYC and surrounding area. Rooms are done traditionally with business in mind. Really enjoying our stay.

I was at the Hilton briefly for a breakfast meeting. The breakfast buffet was great and the seating area outside the restaurant was perfect for out brief meeting. Love the hotel renovations, the lobby was beautiful!

Driving up to the hotel, it looked nice. My Husband, and our two Kids, and myself were excited after driving all day to go check in seeing as how the photos of the hotel looked nice. The front desk clerk was friendly but explained to us that parking was $15 a night which we did not anticipate. The parking garage is dark and creepy and so tiny, our SUV barely fit. We notice the hallways and decor in the hotel is very dated and had a bad odor. We get to our room, and instantly notice how dated the room looks, but we didn't inspect it too much because we still wanted to get cleaned up and go eat because we were hungry. As I got into the bathroom to shower, I noticed the mirror had toothpaste on it and was very dusty but I proceeded to go take a shower. The shower knob got stuck and I couldn't change the temperature or turn the faucet off. I called my Husband in to help me, and with some force he was able to move the shower handle. As I was showering I looked up and at the fixtures, they were disgusting. There was mold all over. I quickly showered as it was getting late, and my Family all did the same. We were very upset that the room was gross, but we did not even know just HOW bad it was until later on.

I have been very pleased with this stay. They have been nothing less than kind, helpful, conscientious and willing to serve. Hotel is extremely clean, with beautiful rooms and a lovely lobby. Valet service has been top-notch, (though there is a nominal fee attached based on parking constraints related to its downtown location) they go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I'm extending my stay based on my great satisfaction with the hotel as a whole. No Hilton I've ever stayed at has disappointed.

I've stayed at countless Hilton properties and this one is decidedly middle of the road. The lobby is spacious and well designed and the staff seemed good based on our limited interactions with them. The room itself was under par. We were upgraded to the suite, which was nice enough, if a bit dated. However, the water pressure in the shower was slightly better than a strong drizzle and the Wi-Fi was impossible to use during our stay. The most unfortunate part of our stay was the strong unpleasant odor that was emanating from our couch. IT made using the couch (and subsequently that portion of the suite) unusable.

All the employees were very friendly, ideally liked that I was able to check in earlier then expected. The room was very clean. Some issued that I had were when I ordered room service and received my meal there was a bug in my meal this was handled very professionally room service came and gave me another meal at no charge to me, unfortunately I had already lost my appetite. Another issue was the following morning at around 9:30 am there was a knock on my door and before I could get up to check who it was my door was opened and then closed again I didn't see the person was but this was a concern for me. Besides these issues my stay at this establishment was ok.

We requested an early check-in. The room was ready when we arrived. We asked for a King 1 Bedroom Suite. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. They provided complimentary water and soft drinks. Our bill was emailed to us early before our checkout. An overall excellent experience.

Room was good, parking sucks. We ordered 2 pizzas via room services one was great and hot, the other was cold and rubbery. We ordered them at the same time. Nice clean room.

Excellent, friendly staff. Very comfortable. Some great views of Long Island sound. Definitely visit the executive lounge on the 10th floor for dessert and good company.

On May 27, 2016 another parent and I stayed at this Hilton Hotel as our son's were playing a baseball tournament 5 minutes away. We arrived at 7:45 PM, checked in and the nightmare began. The first room we were given was anything but clean; the bathroom toilet looked as if someone had had a case of diarrhea and there was food on the floor near the beds; called and informed the front desk and after the desk clerk was as sickened as we were, we were given another room. Walked into the second room and were greeted by long strands of hair and dirt on one of the beds; by this time we were both so disgusted and start time for the game (9 PM) was nearing, so we were offered a complimentary breakfast and a different room on the Executive floor. After returning from the game, we were taken to a different room on the Honors Level and to our surprise that room was clean; we put our bags down and headed to the bar area to have a drink after the experience, only to be greeted by the most ignorant bar tender who at 5 minutes before they were closing (midnight) informed us that they were closed and we couldn't be served. Went to the front desk manager who told us they closed at 1 AM and we should be fine; explained how nasty the bar tender was and he asked us to wait and he'd handle it, only to have him come back and tell us he was wrong they closed at midnight and we were told we could order from Domino's Pizza.

Decor is nice. We arrived at 1:30 am, exhausted. The beds were very comfortable. But there were 2 barking dogs on the no pets floor, the hallway carpet was soaked with water as we sloshed to our room, hair all over the bathroom floor, room not vacuumed well, and the hot water didn't work in the sink. But when we told them in the morning how disappointed we were, they insisted on picking up the tab for our room and gave us free breakfast. I guess their slogan that they will make it right is followed through!

Stayed here many times for work or personal use. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The air conditioner did not work on one of my stays but the maintenance department fixed it promptly and I was given compensation for the inconvenience. Rooms are very clean and the breakfast is good.

I spent 9 days at the Hilton Stamford over the Passover holiday. The hotel was clean and inviting. The check in process was excellent (and they had every single room checking in over 1 and a half days) and the room service was great.

Ok room for the price. The desk did not explain the breakfast voucher so I did not know I received one. I had to get another from the front desk, and almost missed breakfast.

Stayed there to avoid a snowstorm. It's was on the companies dime so that was great, but even if I paid I would have been happy. The bed was extremely soft, the room was impeccable and overall facility was great. Breakfast is a little pricy but good, also really enjoyed the lemon, orange and cucumber water offered by the elevators. Would be happy to spend more time there.

Called to book a room and the rate doubled from the advertised price. Even being a hhonners Dimond member the price went up $75.00 a night when I called to books stay. I guess they think people are stupid and will just pay it.

The staff were very pleasant. The room was nice. When we took a shower the tub filled up with water, but they sent someone to the room to fix the issue when we informed them of the problem. Enjoyed my weekend stay.

Staff were very friendly here during check-in and room service. Lobby area looked nice and had a decent bar crowd going at around 9 or 10 (Tues. Night). Room felt a little tired and dated though. I prefer to stay at the Marriott when traveling to Stamford for work, however, this Hilton is a nice alternative.

Rooms where nice and affordable, staff where nice and friendly. Restaurant over priced and snobbish, pay to park though? That's a low blow.

Rooms, bed and hotel at Hilton Stamford were very nice. Staff helpful. Breakfast good but overpriced. Elevator to parking garage broke for a period of time — bad news when you have a lot of stuff you need to bring back to your car!

The Hotel was great when you first wall in. The employees were nice but not helpful. When we got to our floor it smelled moldy and musty. The walls were in shambles The doors had scuff marks it was dingy. The room was ok the sheets had hair on them the furniture needs to be replaced. The output for the best and air made a horrible banging sound all night. The pool was not heated but they did have a Jacuzzi. I wouldn't recommend the hotel or stay again.

Worst hotel service ever! I was charged twice for supposedly a two room reservation in one night? Why? If I only made one reservation. Not only were they not able to tell me why that happened. But also the front desk couldn't let me know I supposedly had "two reservations in one night"? Why would they allow that to happen or not even ask me about it? It doesn't make any sense. Besides the horrible service the hotel itself is horrible. The front desk is not knowledgeable about their stuff and rude! NEVER GOING BACK!

Let me begin by saying that anyone who gives this hotel 5 stars is working for the hotel. There's no way anyone could rank this as 5 stars. We made reservations for 2 rooms on the Executive Level 45 days in advance of our business trip to Stamford. After a long day of traveling, we arrived to be told that they were "trying to get in touch with us. " We looked at our phones… not a single call or email, so the manager was clearly lying. Manager reiterated that they had given our rooms to someone else and that we should go out front and stand at the curb to await transportation to another hotel. He couldn't get us out of there fast enough — yet the gentleman behind us was checked in and provided with a key. It was unbelievable. Literally kicked to the curb. It was even worse when we arrived at the "partner hotel" a few miles away which had all of the charm of a crack house. THEY DO NOT HONOR RESERVATIONS, so don't bother making them. Also called Hilton corporate to report the incident and we were told the General Manager would be calling us within 72 hours to address the problem. That was 5 days ago — still no response. UPDATE: just received a "customer assistance feedback survey. " The first question asked if your problem was resolved. When I answered "NO" and clicked next, I received a message saying, "sorry, you don't qualify to complete the rest of the survey. " Appears that if they don't resolve your problem, they don't want your feedback.

I feel like my shower was going to fall through the ceiling. Still curious of what the stains were in my wall. Food was pretty ridiculously awful with the exception of the berries. I come here frequently for work and unfortunately am forced to stay at the hotel. Meeting rooms are constantly at an unacceptably cold temperature. I do respect the staff I interact with on a daily basis and appreciate the way I am treated.

Came in yesterday to check in, was greeted under the assumption I was with a specific company (a competitor, no less) … not professional to make assumptions. Ordered room service, was told 40 minutes or less, took them an hour. Ordered the ravioli, and the menu specifically lists portobello first in the description, but found no traces of mushroom at all. My room, as well as most rooms, over look the train tracks. Walls are thin and windows are not sound proof so it was hard to get rest when the train runs through as frequently as it does. Additionally, went to order carry out at the restaurant today (to avoid the hour long wait), and staff was rude. When asking them if they can do carry out, the answer I received was "what do you want", in a negative tone. Lastly, just got to my room and it smells like bleach. My husband has platinum status with both Marriott and SPG and I never would have chosen this hotel if it wasn't expenses through work. Would highly NOT recommend. Also, Wi-Fi doesn't work.

The dates of my stay were 6/19/15 — 6/21/15. I would have expected better from a Hilton. First the good: the room was pretty clean, the bed was comfortable, the room service food was good (Cobb Salad, Coffee), the staff was very friendly and very helpful. Now for the bad: room was outdated, the alarm clock did not light up and was way too small, the controls for the A/C were disgusting and looked like they had not been cleaned in months, the room was too cold for me and when I called the Front Desk to ask for a blanket, they sent up 2 blankets that looked like they had not been used or cleaned in years — dirty and full of holes; no information in the room telling about anything local — restaurants, shopping, local transportation, churches; no information in the room describing any amenities in the hotel (i. E. Pool, internet, restaurant hours, workout room). All in all this was a terrible hotel and very disappointing. I will never stay at this or any other Hilton again.

First morning no hot water for showers, fixed late on the first night. Shower curtain barely attached to the wall. Rooms are dated. Was charged 4, 000.00 at the bar instead of 40.00. Will not return to this location.

A decent hotel for $99 in the heart of Stamford. The rooms are dated but clean. I wouldn't pay much more than $100 per night for the room.

I love this hotel, me and my fiance go all the time, just to have a weekend away in Stamford. The only problem I really have with this hotel, is the fact that their pool is flooded with Chlorine. The past two visits I made to the hotel, I jumped I the pool, and immediately my eyes were on fire. The second time I went in the pool, thinking that they fixed the problem, the burning happened again, and I ended up in the emergency room, because eyes drops just did not work. Still, it is a great hotel, I like it, the staff is very good. Aside from the pool, the hotel is near perfect.

Hotel is ok in terms of looks. Definitely not Hilton. Rooms are small. The main door handle needs to be pushed real hard and the card reader to unlock is a hit or miss, bathroom has some cosmetic blemishes. I forgot my stuff there and I called them and they said since its saturday they will give me a response by tuesday. Its been 10 days now and still I didn't get any call. My experience isn't positive. Will never stay here again.

This was the worse experience I had with a hotel in all my days of traveling. The AC was down from the time we checked in on a Friday night. Having to take multiple showers there was no shower lining to prevent water from getting on the floor. Hotel bought towels up for my co-worker and I to clean the water up. When asked if we can get a lining for the shower the rude front desk clerk Andrew responded by saying " just put the curtain in the shower. " The curtain was made of cloth so of course water will continue to soak through the shower curtain. No manager on duty, rude staff, and no assistance in getting us into another hotel. I STRONGLY recommend you NOT stay here or you will not only have to deal with horrible conditions, but rude front desk person Andrew. Absolutely horrible.

I absolutely love coming to this hotel. The staff are friendly and courtesy. I especially love Maria at the front desk she is kind, sweet, and has a wonderful personality. The hotel is big and spacious. My son loves the pool its always nice and warm. Breakfast in the morning is delightful. We will definitely be coming back soon :).

I stayed there May 16th — 18th, 2014. A wedding/event was being held there the same weekend. Many of the wedding guests stayed on the floor we were on. The wedding guests were very noisy, slamming doors, shouting, yelling, laughing, etc. They were having a great time without any regard for those of us trying to enjoy our stay @ the Hilton. I politely explained my situation to Messa at the front desk and she apologized for our inconvenience and moved us to another floor. The hotel was very clean. The lobby area well lit with sky lights, comfortable seating areas, and a nice bar. My only wish was to have access to a microwave in the room or somewhere near the buffet area on the lobby level and a refrigerator in my room. I would have liked to keep my champagne chilled. Oh well.

I would never return To the Stamford Hilton Confirmation# 3109368452 The wait staff in the restaurant repeatedly fell below expectations from apathy and lack of training, by getting orders wrong from myself and other attendees from our group and on 3 separate occasions with separate servers they did not know what the menu offered. I repeatedly asked for receipts and was told “Sorry I already closed the drawer" Happened 3 times. When paying for breakfast with 20 dollar bills I watched wait staff make change in the tip jar at the bar. Again could not get receipt. 2 separate occasions I was given the wrong change. One of those, I had to tell the waitress the correct amount. During lunch on Saturday we were told we could not sit with friends in the dining room and would have to sit in bar. The bar was full. The dining room had approx. 20 people. After complaining to desk staff I sat in dining room anyway and had to wait 35 minutes for order to be taken. The order was wrong and had to be remade. I was told by desk staff that no management was in the hotel at the time to file a complaint and that someone would contact me. No call back was ever made. Staff that did speak English had no knowledge of immediate area. The bed was made with sheet only during entire stay no blanket or comforter. Dirty linen in front of door for 2 days blocking room entry.

We stayed the last 2 nights at this hotel and I've never had a worse hotel experience in my life. We checked in at 9pm and the room wasn't ready. They had no rooms available with 2 full beds until we asked for a manager and they finally materialized. Too bad it took 30 mins to check in with our 2 small children. The next day, it took until 7pm to make up the room. We had requested, and it was granted, that the room be made up at 4pm after returning to the un-made room at 3pm. We were forced to hang out in the hotel lobby for 3 hours before the room was finally made up. We killed time at the bar, the only place with a visible TV for an hour until we were kicked out. It took the bartender 60 mins to notice we had kids with us, apparently. She didn't kick us out until we tried to order something. The next morning our keys refused to work when we returned to the room after breakfast. 20 mins later someone finally came to let us in. On a positive, the restaurant staff was extremely helpful and nice throughout our nightmare stay. They are gems and I wish all their employees were this helpful. The restaurant manager finally went up to check to see if our room was finally made up when the housekeeping staff refused to return anyone's calls. Do yourself a favor, stay far, far away from this place.
