Did you know you could book 3 rooms, 4 months in advance for your son's graduation and have the hotel management call the day before you arrive and tell you they were overbooked? Well they did and they can. The management lies and does not take responsibility. Find another hotel!

Stayed there on business. Room was roomy & quite clean though it could have had some more lighting. Breakfast offerings are very good and they offer a wide plentiful selection. Staff was great, sincere and genuine. Terrific community park a short walk away. Plenty of dining selections also just a walk away not that the in house restaurant (and bar) are lacking at all.

I stay here when I travel to Stamford on business. I like this hotel. Nice lobby and clean. Good restaurant and bar, but I'm out most of the time so a good bed and shower is what I really look for. This place works for me and I don'pt hear stuff through the walls. Parking is slightly confusing the first time but you then get a ticket for exits so hold on to that. There's a mall and some restaurants within walking distance.

Went to the Crowne Plaza for a work event. The staff was very professional and always visible and ready to help in anyway they can. I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza for all your special events.

Nice big hotel, service was efficient and ok. But I'm giving only 1 star as the room looked pretty old, 3 light bulbs where not working, the bath drain & sink drain where broken. The AC needed to be fixed during our stay. But the worst part of our stay was the fire alarm went off 3 times between 4:30 & 6:00am causing everyone to be startled out of their sleep & everyone had to leave the building. Kids where crying and scared. Management said it was a faulty alarm. Hope the matter will be taken care of as I will be recommending friends not to stay at Crown Plaza.

It was alright for just a room. The gym is outdated and not taken care of, pool is and jacuzzi does not have clear water "To much chlorinein the pool can see anything underneath and was somewhat dirty. And the jacuzzi chlorine 100% it felt like. Room wasn't 100% clean once you started looking around I'd say about 75%-85% clean. Dirty vents/Windows everywhere. Employees were nice I can't complain. Food is over priced to eat in, over charged by $7. Parking was payed $10 per night, but when I was leaving to place ticket in machine it never accepted my ticket in no way shape or form. I could go on but I have other thing to do thank you.

I have mostly good things about this property. First off the staff is top notch. My accommodations were very good. For the first time in 20 years traveling my room wasn’t ready when I got there. Now I was an hour early for check in but I have always gotten a room before. Fortunately it was laundry day so I got a head start on that while I waited for my room to get ready, dryers need to be updated. I’ve never had to pay to park at a hotel but you do here!

Excellent hotel in downtown Stamford. Very attractive building. Plenty of parking (paid though). Many conference rooms. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff both at reception and in the restaurant.

This place is a 3.5. As it's very inconsistent. Sometimes I liked it a lot and other times I was disappointed. Overall, it's a decent place to stay. Good sized rooms, great meeting spaces, and has decent ambiance. The food is pub-ish food, so I wouldn't over order. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

Not a huge fan of this hotel. I stayed here two nights and found the rooms loud. I had a passthrough door for the room next to me and could hear basically everything from the person staying in that room. Literally heard the neighbors have sex for an hour, thanks Crown Plaza. I also found the floors awful, the wood was not needed in half of the room, should have kept it all carpet. That probably would have kept it quieter too. It has a nice faucet in the bathroom, but find it odd the shower stall has no door (keeps it cold while showering). Toilet seat was broken. Otherwise, the grounds of the hotel are nice. Nice lobby with a nice restaurant and bar. Great conference area (I attended a conference here and it was excellent food — not sure if that was catered through hotel or not). Parking situation was okay but didn't seem like the nicest garage ever, but seemed secure. Had plenty of open spots when I parked.

I ended up staying 2 nights rather than the single I expected because of unplanned events and every other hotel was booked in the surrounding area. The service was adequate and breakfast was warm and fresh.

Good location. Provided morning and evening shuttle service. Comfortable beds and very clean. Looks great and drinks such as water and coffee were free.

The lay out of the hotel is beautiful. The food is fantastic and it's a wonderful place for conferences and social events.

It was my 1st time in there and I must say its absolutely beautiful. I was at an event there last night with a girlfriend and on our way out we were admiring how beautiful the gazebo would be for a wedding ceremony and the ballroom for the reception. PS the deejay was awesome too.

I hadn't been there since my 1st wedding anniversary in 1993… but oh how it has changed in 25 years! I attended an event on last night, and I was only in the lobby area and ballroom, but I must say It's beautiful! I don't know when it was renovated, and I don't even when the name was changed, but it looks great!

I went to an event called "Fun Girls Night Out" and the event did not like me but the hotel charmed me. The lobby is very big and looks elegant. They have cupcakes, water, and other snacks for the people staying here. They also have a parking garage. I'd like to go back.

The Crowne Plaza is my favorite hotel in the area. The breakfast buffet is good and the coffee is excellent. The front desk staff is always friendly. The rooms are clean and quiet. Wi-Fi is solid. The gym has a good array of equipment made better by the fact that it's available any time. I also appreciate the water, coffee, and treats available in the lobby. Speaking of the lobby, it's beautiful and spacious.

I did not like to lady at reception. She needs to go back to collage to improve on customer service skills. Limitation in breakfast as you do not have access to juices but have to ask for it. Honestly, I had another trip next week and I am going to try next door hotel.

Very contemporary building with a huge indoor atrium area. Very nice room with rich, contemporary fixtures. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful hotel in Stamford — with a Kosher sushi bar adjacent and on property named "SOOSH". Closed Friday night — but reopens at 630pm on Saturday in observance of the Jewish Sabbath — there is an Enterprise Rental Car office also. Great place.

Beautiful and stunning hotel. Very relaxing. Nice clean and tidy georgous lobby, huge ballroom. Fun pool and gym room. Rooms are nice and comfortable! Great staff and management.

I am here for business trip. We stay here for 5 days/4 nights. Overall experience is good. Hotel is clean and quiet, restaurant serves good food (fish and chip). The parking were not free and no complimentary breakfast for guests.

The bed sheets were dirty and had some blood spots. The bathroom door had reverse lock; that is so strange. The bed were so old. Staff members are nice gave us other room which had weird sound and did not sleep well. I hope they make basics better for the hotel.

Very nice place. When I relocated from California to Stamford couple of years back, for the initial couple of weeks I stayed in this place. Really a quality place of star rank and at the same time its not at all pricey. I really like this place for the quality of the rooms and good service.

I had a great time and wonderful memories I'll take back with me. The staff was great and cleanliness a priority. Will definitely be back!

Great Hotel nice rooms very comfortable atmosphere. Just watch out for Jerry Springer guests. You know how the show is so imagine the people you run into there. Very entertaining. LOL just be careful you could be Springers next guest being in that hotel.

Went to the Crowne Plaza for the Old Timers Awards dinner. The hotel Decor is nice was watching an artist painting a mural it was very interesting. My only complaint was the food pasta came out it was lukewarm and when the I entree came out which was a chicken dish The sauce was coagulated.

Convenient location for me with reasonable parking, comfortable rooms and adequate facilitates (pity the pool was out of action during my stay). Service is always good and prices are usual reasonable.

Cleaning ladies didn't mop the floor in the bathroom. There was hair and dirt all around, disgusting. When we asked at reception desk to send a help to set the AC as soon as possible, the guy at the desk replied he will send some right now. We didn't get anyone for 4 hours after that. We asked again; and now the lady at reception desk replied that all their AC system is connected and they can't make AC lower or switch it off in our room. However, one hour later the guy came and just pushed the button. Also, when they were asked for Advil, the only way to get it was to buy a new overpriced pack. I wonder if they charge for First Aid kit too.

The positive was the view from our room was great but I guess that depends on which room you get. Also the beds were really comfortable. But the negative is the horrible service we received. When we arrived later in the day I saw that the toilet in our room was gross with brown in it and the floor was sticky and I noticed dust on my bed and some dirt as well as the other bed, so I called the front desk for a change of sheets and was told someone would be right up. A half hour later I came down to the front desk to see what was going on and she says they are in other rooms at this time. Then when I came back a third time after going out a bit she spoke to housekeeping while I was there and they themselves said they had changed the sheets. After going back up to my room to discover that the sheets hadnt been changed I called the main desk again to complain and then 10 min later finally somebody arrived to change the sheets. This was already getting late and I was tired and the lady that came was giving me attitude the whole time. Aside from that, later we discovered that the door gets jammed so we cudnt lock it in case it gets stuck. Other than that the hotel was nice with pretty lights everywhere.

I was staying in crown plaza last week and was very pleased with the housekeeping services. Very helpful staff, rooms are nice and clean. Will definitely come back.

The location is great, rooms are good but walking to rooms if you get something in the wrong wing is really painful to walk at least a mile to get to the elevator. The brreaga is very average but there are really nice food options outside. The main Street in Stamford has really nice restaurant and every restaurant the food is different and tasty. The restaurant in crown plaza is just average and tastes like the normal hotel chain stuff but is still and option. I just like this place for the price but not too great is you do not like to walk after a long day at work.

The room was comfortable and wad clean. I was surprised that I was able to book this hotel with breakfast included for less than the holiday express next door. Parking is on the side of the building. Make sure that you mention that you're parking at the lot side they validate your ticket for being a guest. Overall, good overnight stay.

Nice room but lacked the headphone and the shower was not adjustable.

The check in person was very friendly and made the process quick yet pleasant. Accommodations were good. Beautiful gazebo inside for events, Ill keep it in mind. Good food, good bar, parking easy. My only criticism is that they turn down the heat to lowest setting so you have to warm up the room. I didn't notice until after I woke up shivering and had to look for the thermostat at 2am. Overall, good experience and convenient location with restaurants and other attractions close.

I stay here whenever I am in the Southwest corner of Connecticut for business. The staff is kind. The food is good. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. My last stay, I truly appreciated the cheese platter that the General Manager, Sanjeev Rai, sent to my room. After a long day with a client, it was a treat.

It was pretty much what I expected. Lots of pretty bows and ribbons make it look nice on the surface, but there are flaws like every other hotel. Check your bathroom door before closing it behind you. I actually got stuck in the bathroom and the door would not open. Thankfully, I had my cell phone (because we all check Twitter on the shitter), and called the front desk. BUT, I was put on hold for 20 minutes while they 'assisted other customers'. All in all, for the price and the pretty amenities, it's a good place to stay.

I was only in the lobby but it was very nice. The parking garage was old and looked very outdated and in bad shape. The elevator didnt work and the wasnt that many signs to help direct you around. I also missed the hotel caise there wasn't a big sign when drivomg past it.

The staff at the Crowne Plaza was very friendly and the rooms were very spacious. The only negative was the bar placement. Unfortunately there was a noisy guest at the bar and he could be heard in the rooms from 10:00 pm to just before 1 am. So they could use some better sound deadening materials in the rooms or simply better crowd control.

The lobby and lounge are nicely updated. Parking will cost 10 dollars a night, which seems normal for Stamford, but still an inconvenience. The rooms are moderately updated and clean. A good place to stay for a night or two.

Room was dirty. Bed wasn't made. Garbage in bathroom sink and tub. Looked like it was someone's room that they had threw us in. Staff wasn't friendly at all. They didn't seem like they were too thrilled to have us as guests. Would not recommend to anyone.

This is the best hotel of this class in the Stamford. The staff and front desk is outstandingly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom had great lighting, and I loved the shower offered areal water pressure and not a trickled stream. The lobby and lounge is beautiful modern and very up to date. Feels like a 5 star property.

Was there for the Agudah Yisroel Convention. Nice place. Great beds. Curtious staff. Even though the hotel was at capacity everything ran smooth and they were well staffed. We really enjoyed our stay. Hope to be back next year.

Very pleasant staff, great service. But showers were bad and seriously, no fridge or ice bucket for wine? $50 mediocre breakfast. Room was pretty good but staff def is the reason they get 4 stars from me… had the room been better 5

Its not often get's the opportunity to stay at one hotel for 2 weeks. To see the operations day in and day out. I had exactly that experience at the Stamford Crown Plaza Hotel. I tried virtually everything on the menu, and requested every item their is to request form the front desk. Its not a perfect hotel its more like a fabulous hotel. The staff is super friendly, respectful and courteous. The linens are always clean. The beds are absolutely amazing, the best hotel beds I have slept on. The rooms are modern, unique and tastefully designed. The restaurant menu is nice but its restaurant food, maybe more like pub food. The lobby is absolutely amazing for work meetigs etc… I will stay again. Yes. And highly recommend this property.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and was extremely disappointed with the whole experience, which is very different from what I am accustomed to at a Crowne Plaza hotel in other places in the world. Although the room, the lobby and facilities are ok, the quality of the service in the hotel is dismal. This starts with the housekeeping, with dust on the shelves and windows sills, beds not made up properly, soap and shampoo not re-filled and staff entering the room without knocking (on three occasions). The room itself is reasonable, although there is no bath and no fridge (yes it can be rented at additional cost…) and also no rail to hang up wet bath towels, just a simple hook. The food in the restaurant is also VERY bad. Due to time constraints I was forced to have dinner in the hotel on all three days. E. G. I had a chicken parmesan and thought that there were bones in the chicken. It turned out that the chicken did not have bones in it, but that it was overcooked to such an extent that the meat had turned rock hard. On the other occasions, the food was equally poor, with burnt hamburgers and overcooked fries. All-in-all, greasy an unimaginative food. The waiters in the restaurant, with all good intentions, had clearly never had ANY training whatsoever, judging by the clumsy way that the food was placed on the table, asking for your order without having given the menu first, etc. Etc.

Nice hotel, centrally located in the heart of Stamford. We enjoyed our stay here and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Location, price, cleanliness, comfort, contemporary lobby and service are second to none. We travel a lot to Stamford Connecticut and this is our new favorite place to stay.

The lobby is where the presentation ends. Any motel is going to give you the same accommodations for half the price. The parking is insanely expensive, if you want a mini-fridge in your room it's an extra 25 dollars a night, the coffee machine is worthless, as is the shower. You can not connect your laptop or device to the TV with an HDMI because they don't allow you to change the input on the tv. What the hell am I paying for here? A mediocre bed and poor shower? Everything was moderately clean, except the comforter on the bed. It was stained and had candy on it. It was a waste of over 1 thousand dollars (2 standard rooms for 4 days) I reccommend steering clear of this hotel, and probably the HI express next door as they are owned by the same company and stay in a much cheaper motel in this town.

I don't know which rooms the other reviewers were referring to… the lobby and atrium are magnificent, too bad we couldn't sleep there. This was the most disappointing hotel experience I've ever had. Over $200 for a room that was literally no nicer than the HoJo up the road. No fridge, no bathtub, our coffee machine was missing… Unless you're there for the lobby save your money and elsewhere. So, so disappointing.

Stayed at the beautifully renovated crown plaza in Stamford, staff were extremely nice and pleasant, rooms and lobby are super nice and clean highly recommended.

Hotel cant be beat clean modern recently redone hotel with amazing outgoing and welcoming staff they Just make you feel very welcome and will help regardless with what it is. Nice breakfast and lounge area where you can order dinner and drinks.

This place was under renovation since Sheraton abandoned it and it was bought by a local interest. Truth be told, it was awful for those transition years. And it took close to 5 years to turn it into a Crowne Plaza. The transition is over and the hotel is great. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed. I needed towels. Got em. Needed a spare room key. Got it. Housekeeping was friendly and good. Front desk staff. Fantastic. There were constantly staff everywhere cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming. Well done.
