This hotel is amazing. Beautiful view, super clean, comfortable bed, great jacuzzi tub, two shower heads, the food at the restaurant is very good and the staff is super nice and very helpful. I can not say enough good things.

I enjoyed staying at the Clarion. Was there for 2 weeks and the staff was fantastic. Food in the restaurant was good. Any issue I had was handle promptly.

Left my wallet in my room went back to get it, cash was gone be careful! otherwise nice stay but also people at head desk are personal like asking me about my problems. Excuse me? rude.

The initially booked this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub. Upon arriving with checked out the room, which was okay. However the pull-out couch that our daughter was going to sleep on was a complete mess. None of the springs that held the mattress up we're actually still in place. So needless to say she was not able to sleep on it. The pool area was another disappointment! The room itself smelled horrible, the pool was tiny, only 3 ft deep and in very bad shape! Glad we got the room with a jacuzzi in it. Since we got a coupon for breakfast upon arrival, we decided to eat at the hotel. Even though it wasn't busy It took an hour and a half for eggs, some homefries and toast, which turned out mediocre. Very disappointed!

Frat house. Great room, friendly staff, but they let the place get turned into a fraternity house and I was woken up by people running through the hallways banging on the doors at 2 in the morning and again at 4 a. M. No credit or apology was given for the $280 a night room I had for one night and only got to sleep a few hours in.

Service was amazing, the hotel staff really treated us well, and a nice warm atmosphere throughout my stay.

Rooms were decent but hotel needs updating. After a long trip, I arrived at 8:30pm on 3/19/18 and restaurant was closed. Nice person at desk apologized and said it would be open for breakfast at 6am. I arrived at 6:30 and restaurant was closed. Person at desk said cook didn't make it in and they have no way of making food. An apology would have been nice along with some recommendations for breakfast places in the area. Seemed this was the norm and it depended on cook's mood… at least that was my impression. First time at Clarion, and last.

This place sucks. First the front desk lady gave us a room that wasn't clean. Then our room was freezing, and then the remote to TV won't work, and then the pool and hot tub are not clean or working. But we had dinner and that was good.

Great value although we were part of a group. Very good service.

First off, Daniel was incredibly helpful in helping with my reservation both before I checked in and once I got there. The room was nice and big, comfortable bed, whirlpool tub. Room was clean and I have no complaints. If you find yourself in Oneonta and looking for a hotel, I would highly recommend checking this one and ask for Daniel!

As we stay annually and consistently have our rooms mixed up with ammentites that we book we continue to give the clarion a chance. We just call to book a room for the weekend. The front desk clerk as she calls herself refused to give us her name. As we are trying to book our room for the weekend she states prior to allowing us to book the best room they have as we always do “is there anything else I have other lines I have to answer. ” Are you serious? I highly doubt that we will ever book another room in this establishment that provides very poor customer service. To make it even more of a disappointment After our last poor visit we even received an email from management apologizing and asking us to give them another chance to make it right and that their poor service would be addressed. Well we see how far that went.

People were friendly, bed and pillows we're comfortable, and the staff was quick to respond to any issues I had. Plus it's nice that it's a central location to main Street. Quality stay and a quality hotel.

My overnight stay at the Clarion was quite nice. Had a clean and comfortable room with a lovely view of main st and was very happy with staff as well.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for our anniversary. For the price of $240.00 I was expecting a nice room. What I got was not much better than a road side motel. The lighting in the hallways was very dark even in the middle of the day. It left you with an uneasy feeling. When we got to our room the first thing I noticed was how dingy the carpet was. It looked like it needs to be replaced and felt kind of sticky in bare feet. The sliding door on the closet was off of its slider and I couldn't get it open. It was nice out side so I opened the window. The screen was broken and there were cigarette butts on the sill. We left for dinner through the second floor exit out onto main street. In the hall of the exit, there was empty beer cans and smelled of urine. The best part of the stay was listening to our neighbors fight all night. Very entertaining! I would not recommend staying here, especially for the price. If it was $100 a night and I was there on business, maybe…

This room would be worth $250 a night anywhere near a real city. Bargain even if youre paying a buck fifty for it. It's the best price for the location especially if you plan on drinking and/or hitting the book stores, art stores, or restaurants on main.

The room was great and exactly as posted on the website. My only complaint would be how strict they are for their check in hours. I tried to check in 3 hours early and was denied because my "room wasn't ready" even though, after staying here a couple of nights, there aren't more than 15 cars in the parking lot. And when I got there, there was literally only 1. But I was able to come back late after work (I was here on business) and check in as late as 11pm. Would still recommend though, as the rooms are very comfortable.

We had a good experience here. Comfortable, well-sized room. Great location. Good, inexpensive breakfast. Would have given 4 stars if they had shown some flexibility with our request for late check-out.

Big room with sitting area. Nice staff. It's directly connected to Main St via foot bridge which is cool bc that's where the nightlife is dinner drinks etc. Breakfast and pub good also pool for the kids.

It's a Clarion, affordable, clean and unassuming. It's hard to find hotels near Cooperstown but this was close enough while being in a town with more food options which is good for breakfast and dinner. Can't complain! It's what you expect and for that is 5 stars. A good place to sleep at night.

The hotel was right inn the middle of town. Walkable to many destinations. Room was spacious & clean. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet. Our hallway was not well lit.

Parents stayed here recently when they were in town for an extended family get together. The hotel rooms were actually surprisingly nice, there's a nice retro feel to them and the tub in their room was huge and really nice. Also well located in terms of being near a nice park, the small row of shops that makes up the downtown strip. Only major downer is that they could hear the trains that passed through in the middle of the night which made it hard for them to sleep.

Straightforward hotel, no bells or whistles. I thought it was a bit expensive for the nothing special that you get, but it was a place to rest my head for a night.

We got charged 750$ for one night staff not helpful at all trying to get matter resolved. Will never stay again so much for Satisfaction Garenteed.

We experienced one of the worst stays we have ever had at this hotel. From a clogged toilet, to staff checking checking us in the wrong room (keys not working), to the hot tub not working, the chef leaving early (8:00, restaurant open until 11:00) and the Manager not honoring his promise of a free breakfast. We will never stay here again.

The staff did not address our needs. We are Priority Members and were never recognized or acknowledged. We were first told that the hot tub was out of comission. In our room, the toilet overflowed. The front desk person incorrectly assigned and registered us in another room. As a result, our toilet was delayed in getting fixed. We were told that the bar/restaurant was open until 11:00. We went down at 8:30 and was told that the chef had decided to go home a few minutes earlier. The manager on duty offered us a free buffet breakfast for our troubles. Of course, in the morning it never materialized. As a Platinum member, I feel they should have upgraded our room, as it was no near capacity.

It was nice, staff was fun.

Nice setting behind the main street of Oneonta. Everything downtown within 5min walk. Good rates. Stayed in a king suite, room seems a little dated, but other than that, no complaints.

Extraordinary room. With fireplace and huge Jacuzzi ensuite. Responsive and attentive staff. Better than hotels at twice the price.
