Great place to stay — perfect location! Connor at the front desk is awesome and our bellman, Nickie was so kind and helpful! Our room is well appointed — includes a refrigerator. Good water pressure is always a plus too! Highly recommend for an escape to Santa Fe! Cheers!

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was upsetting was our bathroom sink was completely plugged. If housekeeping is cleaning thoroughly, that would not have been an issue. They would know it had been plugged and got maintenance to fix it. There was also old water spots and damage under it, where it had been leaking. Someone did try covering the damage with a box with the hair dryer. Luckily no one needed to dry their hair because apparently that sink leaks. Electrocution is kind of a big deal! They wanted to send maintenance to fix it in the middle of the night. A room for over $200, that shouldn't even be an issue.
We love El Dorado, next time we hope to get a room that is worth the price.

Had to cancel our trip due to the public health emergency and recommendations to limit travel. This hotel only refunded a portion of our deposit. Would not recommend, and would definitely not consider staying here in the future!

Had the most wonderful spa service as I was dealing with the effects of altitude sickness. Headache and dizziness. Kevin gave me a wonderful massage making sure to work on my head and neck and sinuses calming the headache. Beautiful facilities.

Great hotel. Friendly and attentive staff make you feel welcome. Great location for walking to the plaza and lots of nice shops and restaurants. Rooms beautiful with great bed and amenities. Definitely will stay there again.

Very quiet clean and great service close to a lot of good eating places.

Meant to only stay for 1 night, ended up staying for 2. The location is excellent. Didn't eat or really drink in the hotel due to so many restaurants around. Top marks for the 2nd night. Myself and the misses do long distance from the states and Ireland, so was chatting away to the check in girls (really wish I could remember there names) why are you here etc, so told them the story, got us upgrade to a fireplace and balony room, really made the stay worth it. Beautiful hotel and views from the premium rooms. But that's the only reason for the 3 stars. The facility is showing serious signs of age and the disgusting pool and hot tub have all but been forgotten with orange film caked around the edges and lounge chairs rusted and falling apart. They charge a "resort fee" and was informed it didn't include the pool area after I complained of it's condition? WHERE is the resort then? And now we have NO water at all in our bathroom! Was told that "sometimes things happen in life" and had to sternly negotiate only the removal of the "resort" fee. Still no water…

Nice hotel, but could use some updates. Great location. Staff were friendly and efficient — though at one point our phone wouldn't connect to the front desk. Very comfy beds, though the down in our comforter was balled up (but it did not matter since it was warm weather). Our dirty towels, robes, etc. Were always removed (even if hung up) but not always replaced. Wood on window opening broken. Bathroom pleasant, though no place to hang towels. Decor is nice, but some rugs and hallway chairs are worn. The pool is small, but it was pleasant to swim in at night. Desserts in bar were very expensive and not that tasty. Nice conference venue and catering. Overall a pleasant experience.

Overall room and staff great. Pricey for hotel. Plus there is an extra $25 per day that gets tacked on at the end of the stay. The pool is the size of a pool that you will find in someone's backyard. Great if you are by yourself. Uncomfortable if others are trying to enjoy it as well.

Had drinks at the bar. Beautiful hotel. Good staff. Above average prices. Tasty margaritas. Good selection of tequilas. I will definitely positively be coming back to this bar to have drinks in the future. I'm sure the rooms are as nice as the lobby.

We did not stay at the hotel, we just meet some guests for dinner. Food and drinks were great. Service was outstanding. Hotel seemed very nice and luxurious.

Lovely place, very good location, some of the room furnishings a bit tired and could be replaced. One of the most effective things they could do is to have senior, mature staff on hand to guide young, inexperienced staff. Good intentions but very apparently lacking the experience and sophusticstion to offer world class service. It all seems a bit small town.

Clean rooms and friendly staff! The beds are actually really comfortable. The windows are also able to be opened which I found pretty cool! Some friends staying in another room had issues with the AC but it was resolved quickly.

This Place was great! The staff was extremely friendly, and the beds were extremely comfortable. It is walking distance from the a bunch of restaurants. My room had a great view of the mountains! They also sent mailed us a guide book for the city, about a week before our stay! truly a great hotel.

We go here for food all the time and it's consistently good. We stayed here on our wedding night as did many of our guests. No complaints, only happy people.

The Eldorado is a beautiful hotel and our room was very nice and comfortable. For dinner we were trying to decide whether to walk over to the Plaza or eat onsite. The Old House online menu looked fantastic so we decided to eat there. Once we got there we were told that the online menu was outdated. We were given the updated menu which was surprisingly very limited for a 4 diamond hotel. We were very disappointed. The staff bent over backwards trying to make it up. It’s a great hotel but if you want a nice meal go to the plaza. My suggestion to hotel management is to go back to the old menu.

This place is beautiful! The actual room furniture is getting a little "tired", but it's clean and daily upkeep in the rooms is excellent. Service is exceptional here!

The place is lovely, everybody very accommodating and ready to answer any questions. Raquel was taking care of my room and she really saved my days there, I forgot my tea at home and she replaced the coffee kurigs for delicious black and breakfast tea. Because of the height elevation I really need it all day long. Thank you so much for that nice touch. Valet parking was very friendly and profesional. I hope I can bring my family back soon!

Very good hotel in the city center. Breakfast a little too expensive.

We were enticed here by the off season discount, but ultimately we're not impressed. We paid extra for a room with a fireplace, but no wood was available to start a fire (they said it was all wet). Our breakfast order for the next day was not input, which was also annoying. The door to the shower was put in backwards, so there is no way to turn it on without getting soaked in the process. The staff were all very nice, however, especially the front desk. Valet service was prompt and professional.

Location location location! Great place, friendly staff, clean and spacious room. It was quiet and relaxing. Valet parking included in the room rate. Walking distance from restaurants, bars and other places. Also not far from the historic plaza.

Very nice location and facilities. Beautiful lobby with an excellent bar/restaurant attached. 3 minute walk to the basilica and the center of town in general. Rooms were comfortable as well. Excellent experience.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly and hospitable. We received free tickets for sangria and breakfast. The hotel room and grounds are kept clean and beautiful. I really enjoyed the pool on the rooftop and their spa. It’s very close to the plaza so it made it easy to walk around and explore. Their valet service was very efficient and quick as well.

The stay was very good. Favorite part was being able to text my request and getting a response instantly. During this weekend the downside was the AC was down the whole stay. But they were happy to reimburse us food or spa we may have paid us. Great customer service … Would definitely come again.

Great location, and Bell impact. Service garage and parking perfect, some heavy flaws in the whole. Scenic swimming pool, but small, with 5 sunbeds, Windows almost broken or defective window, door of the shower that no longer closes. It is an old structure that would need maintenance as support goes ATDMDMJG.

Stayed for a conference, the hotel staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They offer a text message system for requests which is a nice feature I haven't experienced before. Service in the Agave Lounge is great, with good food and drinks and local advice. Pool and hot tub on the rooftop deck offer a good spot for watching the sunset. Room was a good size with comfortable bedding, clean and well appointed.

The El Dorado is a lovely property. The rooms are very nice very clean. However, I am very disappointed with the management. We were not informed when we checked in that the air conditioning was not working. We got to our room for a 5 night stay, dragging along multiple pieces of luggage, unpacked everything, repeatedly adjusted the thermostat trying to cool off or room which must have been 80 degrees and on the sunny side of the building, before we decided it just wasn’t working. We stopped at the front desk and found out they knew the air conditioning wasn’t working but the part was on its way and it should be fixed late that night or early the next day. It is now the next day, it’s not working, they don’t know when it will be and the hotel is full so there is no room to move to but they could move us to another hotel. Why would I want to repack 5 days worth of luggage and move from the hotel my conference is at? Why was I not informed before I checked in and unpacked? Worst of all the manager would not even come out of his office to speak to me. I am very frustrated, I was offered a fan and told to make sure and take advantage of the pool to cool. This could get interesting since I didn’t pack a swim suit, I may get my revenge on the manager for not coming out to speak to me. I bet he will come talk to me real quick when I get in the pool naked!

We stayed at this hotel in September, 2017. This hotel has a good location and the staff are nice but the rooms need to be updated. We had to move around the first night because the rooms they wanted us to take had lots of issues. The room we finally settled for did not look like the pictures on their internet site (windows broken, old furniture, old beds, loud air conditioners). If you book here demand a room that has been recently updated. For the price there are much better options in Santa Fe.

We had an entirely satisfactory room with king bed — think it had been remodeled. View toward the plaza. Very helpful front desk staff and valets. Minimal wait elevators. Good location away from the central noise, but walkable (5 mins) to anything. Good conference management.

Shocked that this was named in the top 5 Spas in the USA not even in my top 20. Massage was good but the treatment room nothing g special at all very sterile the waiting area again nothing special no beautiful flowers our outside area really a nothing special spa. The hotel is very nice fantastic rooms the spa mediocre at best. Locker room very standard nothing special. Enjoyed my massage but. It the experience and felt over paid and was dissappinted in my experience.

This place is amazing. All of the staff members are super friendly, the rooms are always clean and there is great turndown service with little chocolates everyday. I believe most of the rooms have fireplaces with amazing views of the mountains. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting Santa Fe.

We lived this Hotel and happened to get an amazing deal live music in the bar area at Cava near the lobby. Tasty drinks at Agave lounge clean rooms, thick bath robes, beautiful atmosphere. Right in downtown. We will come back.

We went to the Old House (the Eldorado restaurant) for dinner. The food was fantastic and well presented. There were only a couple other tables seated in the restaurant so it was a little quiet. Our only complaint was that we had a gift certificate that was emailed to us. The manager insisted that we print it out to use it. So my wife had to go to the hotel lobby to use the printer at the end of our meal. Kind of an unromantic way to finish our anniversary dinner.

This was a great stay. The rooms are large and clean and the sundries are high quality. The restaurants are all great, especially the cava bar. The location is close to the main plaza but far enough that the front patio takes are quiet. It was a great stay.

Hotel is showing its age. Needs makeover. Overpriced for what is offered. Lobby bar not open because is understaffed. Charges a resort fee but no lobby bar and no concierge on duty on a Saturday night! Staff is very friendly and courteous. However, maintenance request for broken windows went unattended. Windows were filthy on the inside. Curtains not properly hung. Double queen room actually only has full sized beds.

I had much higher expectations of this property. Location was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. We booked a suite and the room was in much need of repair and upgrades. The refrigerator was falling apart, the furniture was old and dated and the bathroom was extremely small. We had the two bed suite and while the beds were comfortable, they were very small. I would have expected two queen beds which would have easily fit in the very large bedroom but instead there were two full beds that could only accommodate one guest comfortably. We did enjoy a nice massage at the spa and the service there was excellent. Had a nice dinner at The old house and again the staff and service were very good. Unfortunate that the rooms were in such disrepair and need of an upgrade because the staff and service were very good. I would not stay at this property again and would not recommend it to a friend or colleague.

I am a Wedding Planner & Coordinator, and I recently had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding at the beautiful Eldorado Hotel. The experience was incredible from start to finish; their Special Events Manager, Dan Liss, was responsive and attentive leading up to and on the date of the event. Their banquet staff is also exceptional, and their new chapel is absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or event in Santa Fe!

Beautifully set up and decorated. Bar tender was very kind and helpful. Even though the drinks were extremely over priced I enjoyed my time there.

The rooms are nice and the area is decent, however, we paid way too much for a room that had NO air conditioning. They didn't even let us know until 2 am when I woke up sweating and ASKED them about it. Took 30 minutes for them to bring us a cheap fan. I refuse to stay here again. Everything is over priced in the shops anyways.

I'd choose this hotel only as a last resort. There would have to be nowhere else to stay. There is no microwave and the bed is very uncomfortable. We paid $59 a night in Albuquerque at a much older hotel and received a more comfortable bed and pillows. Also, apparently the ac had been out for two days, but no one bothered to tell us until we were melting at 2am. We had called the hotel TWICE before we checked in and even at the check in they did not tell us. Yes they brought us a fan, but when we went in the morning to talk to the front desk he didn't even care that we were not informed. I didn't even want money off, I just wanted the man to understand you have to tell people these things. I would avoid staying here. There are nicer hotels in Santa Fe for a lower price or even same price. Don't waste your time.

Me and my Spouse booked a stay in a junior suite for Valentines Day. Overall, the experience was pleasant. If you are staying here for pleasure be ready to spend money. Also, the rooftop pool and Hot tub was great, but heated pool could've been maintained a little better. Central air and heat was nice, no microwave, but had mini fridge. Cleanliness was immaculate! Staff was friendly. Balconies are considerably small. No bathtub just stand up shower. Junior suite is extremely large and bed was very comfortable. Main lobbies leading to rooms needed a little maintenance and were a little rundown. No ice machine on 4th floor. Valet parking is excellent and fast, but $24 a day with no other sufficient option. The view is overlooking the popular shopping and tourist plaza. Clearly earns its "4 star" status. Suggestions, add microwave for leftovers on date nights and decrease brightness in East facing rooms (manageable though) would book again for the right price.

Fantastic hotel near the heart of Santa Fe. The restaurant is fantastic. A bit pricey though. Really enjoyed my stay.

Great place to stay near the Plaza. Parking is tough, but they have valet parking for an additional $24/night. Beds are comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The pool is small and outdoors, but well heated and there's a hot tub! Room service was quick and the food was well above part.

The location was in downtown Santa Fe so it was close to a lot of good restaurants and shops. The rooms were cozy and the beds were large and comfortable. The staff honored our request to change to a king size bed which was appreciated.

The Eldorado Hotel is a lovely hotel and the rooms were very nice. The food and drink were very good. Valet parking and bell staff were very helpful and Stan, who helped us at the front desk later in the day, was exceptional. The operations manager who was at the front desk when we first arrived was a different story. We inquired about early check in and were told our rooms would be ready in about an hour. We decided to have a bite to eat in the Agave Grill at the hotel. The food was very good but the service from the bartender/waitstaff was not. When we again check at the front desk about our rooms being ready, the operations manager informed us it would be about 20 minutes more. We asked for a recommendation of a near by place to go and have a drink while we waited, he look straight at us and said " there are about 400 restaurants in this area". It appeared he was not interested in being helpful or pleasant at this point. This was the same sort of arrogance we experienced in the Agave Grill just earlier. Later that evening we again went to the Agave for drink, our waitress seemed a bit scattered but our beverages were fine. Upon trying to pay our bills, one individual in our group tried to pay a $15 tab with a $20 bill. The waitress said she didn't have enough change and actually said she would keep the rest for her tip (not kidding).
