7:58 pm lady was very difficult to get me a new room garbage service and you put the people with dogs next to us your just asking for the cops to come over violence.

I stayed at the red lion hotel in farmington, NM on may 21, 2016. The staff was extremely polite. Everyone greeted you with a smile. The rooms were clean and smelled nice. The continental breakfast needs some work, but I would go back.

Service and response time to costumer need was slow. One reservation was not properly fulfilled. Did not inform guests about internet or construction changes and issues. Facility looked clean and the layout was open which we enjoyed. We had wish the bar wasn't closed permanently.

We stayed for a week while my husband was working nearby. I have never left a review before but this Red Lion was so bad that I felt the need. It was like an act of congress to get towels for 4 people. It took a day and a half to get towel after asking nicely 4 times. The pool is nice but there are NEVER any towels in the pool area and we swam everyday. The breakfast was awful. Yogurt was warm and eggs/eggo waffles where cold. The mini muffins where dry and old. They didn't have creamer for the coffee half the time. The lady who locked up the pool at night yelled at some kids for dripping water all over the halls (again no towels at the pool) lame. I like to stay in Red Lion hotels when we travel but this one is an embarrassment to the chain. Skip it!

Beware! This place is terrible. Our first room had a leaking sink and the carpet underneath it was soaking wet. After 15 minutes of trying to explain we didn't do it they finally switched us to another room. One of the box spring was broken so it made it almost sink to the ground when you sat on the bed. Huge nasty stains on the sheets. The A. C. In both rooms sounded like there was a jet in the room.

Unfriendly workers. If you have high school students in your hotel you need to have better security. Not enough lights on the premises. We were in an elevator who had a prostitute there to do a job and ppl smoking Marijuana. And by looks of the hotel it needs to be improved by renovating it. I will not staying here again. I do hope our high school coach finds another place for our children to stay.

This place was nice during the cold war era probably. It has since fallen apart. The shower won't drain the knobs are broken, smells old and dingy. And for just 5$ more you can go get the holiday inn express down the road way nicer.

TV's didn't work, They were not flat screens, Half of the second floor is closed and has been for about 2 years do to fire damage, the room that one of my coworkers was in did not have soap or coffee, the others room had a broken heater, I went to open the curtains in my room, and when I did half the curtains fell off the rail, the bar was closed for maintenance, the food at the restaurant was ok not great and definitely overpriced. Enjoy your stay… ;) somewhere else! Bl.

No problems. Clean room. Hot water worked. Breakfast buffet is the only disappointment, sad eggs and bland potatoes. I would stay there again.

Hotel is not clean and smells pretty bad. Everything is dated. I got a good deal on priceline, but the host told me it's normally $100 a night… wouldn't pay that in a million years.

Spent a night here and it was the worst stay I have ever had at any hotel, and I travel a lot! The front desk gave me a key to an occupied room, you can imagine the surprise on the occupants face when I tried to open the door. Luckily they had the little chain lock on. I returned for another key and they gave me one that did not work. I returned to the front desk a 3rd time. I get to my room and kick on the A/C and bam! I thought there was a 757 airplane in the wall. Holly heck, I wish I could post the audio I recorded. At this point It was already 2:45 am so I decided to deal with the jet in my room and see if I could fall asleep. My wife always said that I could sleep through anything. She is wrong, apparently a jet starting it's engine in my room every 15 min. I cannot sleep through. Stay away from this hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the lobby, but don't be fooled by the expansive, shiny entry. The hotel is rundown. Take a look at the carpet in the elevator: nasty, stained, disgusting. There was a pile of trash in the elevator on the last of our three nights there. In our room, we encountered the following: stained towels, lightbulb in one lamp hanging out of its socket, nasty, old curtains, filthy vents. No one came to clean and straighten our room after the first night. I had to call and REQUEST housekeeping. When we came back to the room, we discovered that rather than give us fresh towels, the rolled up (not folded) the existing damp towels and put them back on the rack. The hallways and rooms on the 3rd floor smell like cigarette smoke, even though it's prohibited. Again, don't be fooled by the nice lobby or the pretty patio that surrounds the bar. This is a dump.

I should mention I come to this hotel at least once a month for work and my company pays for it so my review may be jaded a little. Pros: 1) The room I stayed in (251) was really quiet, cool during the summer. 2) The staff is actually pretty friendly and helpful every time I stay there. 3) The hot tub. The jacuzzi was large, hot and worked really well. (I don't get in the pool but it appeared families staying there enjoyed the indoor pool a great deal. ) Cons: 1) The smell in the hotel and hallway. While the room I was in was void of weird smells the indoor pool centered directly in the middle of the hotel and old age made the hotel smell weird. 2) The breakfast is weak. The food selection is poor and it doesn't taste very well. 3) The clientele. Lots of oil and gas workers that like to stand outside the hotel and be oddballs or sit in the hotel stair well drinking cheap beers and being loud. 4) The exercise room is terrible. No other way to say it. *Overall: The rooms and the hotel as a whole is pretty dated. If I were paying for this hotel out of my own pocket I would be disappointed. Sadly, I can not recommend this hotel.

Worst hotel I ever stayed at. Lady at front desk is rude. Hotel dirty. Room has bad odor. I left and went to holiday in express.

I have no idea where this please was rated so low. It is fantastic! It's definitely aged a bit, but it's classy and well preserved. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating.

I stayed in this hotel for two evenings and was not impressed at all. The hotel itself is rundown and in desperate need of a renovation. The corridors are kinda dim and feel old. When I arrived at my room, I found it was pretty dingy and not well kept. The lighting was pretty weak, the carpet felt thin and was a little dirty, and the bedsheets were stained (with what, I don't want to know). The bed was kinda comfortable but nothing great. When I went to look at the tub that night, there was dirt in the bottom that I had to wash out before I could use it. When I woke up in the morning on the second day, I nearly caught my shin on a piece of the bed's frame that was sticking out. I wasn't able to enjoy the made-to-order breakfast they had in the morning, but the choices I had available to me were adequate. I ate at the restaurant the second night and the food was decent. I didn't visit the bar or the pool. All in all, I was pretty disappointed with this choice. I would not stay here again.

The staff were very good, and the hotel clean. Rooms were what you would expect — no surprises. The problem was the internet. The connection in the rooms was so bad that I had to go downstairs to use a different network in the lobby and finally had to use the one (yes, ONE) public computer in the lobby. I waited in a line because other guests were using it. If you need to use the internet — do not stay here. One staff person told me that poor connection is common. So, the management decided to advertise that they have internet service and then put in a minimum one.

Staff is friendly. Rooms are kind of old. No new TVs, beds are springy. Better off staying at the Comfort Inn across the street. The bar downstairs is very divey and charges Vegas bar prices. The wedding space is a nice size, but the lights went out with a storm temporarily.

Do yourself a favor, skip staying at this old run down smelly INN! It's sore to the eye! The photo's online are misleading. There is nothing executive about the rooms listed as such. The rug in the room that was given to us was old and in this room a strange sewer odor filled the room. The tubs are stained brown with bacteria. It's literally disgusting! The front desk attendant showed us another room that apparently to them, was a lot nicer, " WRONG! It's sad! We traveled a long way under the impression of staying in a comfortable room in Farmington, but unfortunately we arrived, late at night, to what we considered a "horrid" first impression of Farmington hospitality. I call for RENOVATION! Someone please second this motion.

Reposting my original review here so others may see it. It's 3:54 AM. I've had no sleep at all. This is absolutely the most ridiculous hotel room I've ever had any experience with. There is something in the wall by the air conditioner and every fifteen seconds it rattles — I can't describe this sound. Not a minor annoyance, but alarm clock loud, every fifteen seconds like clock work. I called to see if we could move to another room. Of course not — they're booked. If you check in and they try to give you room 338, leave immediately. This isn't a hotel room, it's a torture chamber. It's irresponsible to rent this room to anyone. I have hundreds of miles to drive tomorrow on literally no sleep at all. This is dangerous. It's like Chinese water torture. Again, just to be clear, I'm not talking about a small sound. This is a "what the hell was that!? " sound every fifteen seconds. Good Lord this is ridiculous. I should have slept in the car.
