So staying at the holiday inn in neptune nj. We got in last night and froze, no heat. They tried a couple of times today to program it. The last time my daughter had to leave without me to go to my gtandsons lacrosse game which I am here for and will miss now. They called up and I told them it was still blowing cold air. They said we can turn it off and give you more blankets, thats a solution?

Breakfast was good a variety of choices. Room was very clean very comfortable beds Friendly front desk staff.

My family I am stay here every year when we come to visit. We have never had any problems in the past but when we got into our room last night, we were very shocked to see how dirty it was. The sheet had stains on it and if it wasn’t so late and my kids weren’t so exhausted, I would have called and complained but instead I just took it off. When my son woke up this morning he had an ant crawling on him in BED and we later discovered ants on the floor which I am guessing is from the massive amounts of crumbs that were all over including whole pretzels under the couch. I was actually disgusted that I had to make my kids sleep in that bed and was grossed out even having them sit on the couch. I refused to let my daughter down on the floor so we held her the whole time which wasn’t the ideal situation for us while on vacation trying to relax. VERY disappointed… will not be staying here next year when we come back down to the beach. The only plus side was there was a nice gentlemen at the front desk that checked us in and out. Certainly was not worth the 317.07 we paid for 1 night.

Horrible customer experience! Very cold staff! We are arrived at the hotel at 12:45 PM and we’re not even greeted nicely before being told check-in was at 3 PM. I had no issues with waiting till 3 PM however as I’ve done in many different hotels before, I asked if I can use the amenities on the hotel premises. I was told that I would not be able to use the hotel pool until I checked in at 3 PM. I couldn’t believe how dismissive the staff was especially the hotel manager Paul. He just addressed us with that’s hotel policy and we can’t do anything about it. So me and my family left and this didn’t sit well with me. I called back to get the number of the district manager and I was met with a runaround response. The hotel manager Paul gave me the name and number to the district manager Nick. When I called the number I was met with a voicemail of a totally different person so this made me feel as if I was given false information. I proceeded to find an appropriate number using Google and spoke with someone who assured me they’d handle it and get back to me. No less than 20 minutes later I received a phone call from the hotel notifying me that my room is ready and we could use everything on the property. I don’t think this is an issue with the company or the hotel specifically but I think the staff really needs some calibration when speaking to its guests.

Customer Service is excellent. The front desk Rep Tiara is excellent from the very start. She is very polite and knowledgeable.

Stay here for my son's wedding the weekend of 4/26/19. Rooms were clean, beds were delicious & the staff was amazing! Special shout out to Paul at the front desk! Thank you all!

Great stay. Rooms were clean and safe for little kids. The cafeteria has enough for cater for a healthy breakfast and the indoor pool is great. Asbury Park beach is just a short 14-min drive away.

Rooms were clean and sufficient. Check in was simple. I did not like how the bathroom door slammed shut automatically with no way to prop it open, but that's a minor complaint. Ultimately it was a fine hotel and I'd stay there again.

The rooms are super clean. Really nice. Easy to find and conveniently located. The price however is ridiculous. I am a regular staying at the Holiday Inn Express chain and this by far is the most expensive. I get it it's by the Jersey shore but honestly gouging people is a little sleezy. Complementary breakfast is nice. Too bad there will be no place for you to sit and eat. There are only 10tables at most. They should have definitely gone with a bigger dinning room. But honestly I was there for work not recreation so the Holiday Inn Express once again provided me a good clean place to rest my head.

Was not impressed with the hotel. The only benefit was it was no more than 15 min from the shore. $250 a night is ridiculous for this place. Breakfast was barley edible and I think the cleaning staff does more drinking than cleaning. We found empty liquor bottles and smoking paraphernalia hidden under the mattress. We paid too much and it was definitely not worth it.

Just stayed here and was very happy with our stay. The hotel was clean and a very nice set up. The room and bathroom were big with a comfy bed. We enjoyed the pool, game room, and fitness room. It's nice to have small things to do inside the hotel. Complimentary breakfast is always a plus. For the cleanliness, friendliness, and extra amenities like the pool and comp breakfast provided, the hotel was total worth the price. Much rather spend a little extra to get all that stuff rather than save a few bucks for a crappy hotel.

Would stay again. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff.

Outstanding service! Yet, they got to accommodate to day use BUSINESS-related needs, namely to take reservations for early check in, just as they do for late check in.

Holiday Inn (particularly the Express) provide a consistent value with better than reasonable quality. Front desk staff are always most pleasant, the lobbies each have a unique, (. To each location) clean and fresh look. Our rooms were ready and in good order (except our 2nd bedroom bedside lantern was not working and without a bulb?! ). The included breakfast was hot, plentiful and available for self serve in a well lit and attractive dining area. I noticed an indoor pool and a business center. It’s all good at Holiday Inn.

Second time staying at this hotel, the staff was so accommodating and nice despite having a rough night with recent weather. Thanks to all the staff, you're all great!

Just checked out from here this morning from just 1 overnight stay. This was a great stay and we will be back. The staff is very friendly and professional especially the woman who tended to the breakfast area (2/11/18), she was fantastic and very tentative. The breakfast was great with a huge selection plus it stayed fully stocked all morning long. The pool also was great our daughter had a blast in it.

Place is super clean except the game room and pool. Pool is not heated and smells so strong of chlorine. Also the game room needed a vacuuming and only 1 out 5 games worked. The all you can eat buffet for breakfast is on point except the coffee. Very weak.

Hotel is fine. Unfortunately, I happened to stay on a night when the rest of the hotel had been booked for a youth basketball tournament. These people simply released their children to run wild through the hotel all night. Breakfast was a zoo with children allowed run and scream among the tables. Never saw an employee in the breakfast room as it was picked clean by feral children. It's possible they were hiding. After waiting through 15 minutes of bedlam for one of Holiday Inn Express' famous cinnamon rolls, I gave and walked next door to Wawa to buy my breakfast. Not exactly the hotel's fault but it would have been nice to see an employee at least try to rein in their disruptive guests. As usual though, if you book enough rooms, anything goes.

Yes I stayed here nov23 2017. It was wonderful until the next day the house keeping came at 9am 1030 and at 1115am rushing me to leave woke me up twice check out is 12pm lord Jesus so disappointing! I was pissed off for that reason I will not be back that's a shame I like the place.

I was visiting the area and stayed at the Holiday Inn in Neptune. The staff was great, the rooms were clean and the indoor pool was very nice. I would be happy to stay there again.

I paid 144.00 per night there. Every hie ive stayed has had great breakfast and roomservice. The housekeeping was awesone but the breakfast however is very slim of choice. I am allergic to turkey and they serve only turkey saugage so I pay full price and cant even eat breakfast. I think its poor kitchen management. Big rip off should be reported to the bbb.

Had a non-smoking room with a king size bed. It was nice and served it's purpose, but it smelled like cigarettes when we first entered and if we would keep the bathroom vent off for a bit. Also, there's usually a binder that would have room/hotel info and I couldn't find it anywhere. Asked the front desk about it and they said they didn't have one which I found unusual.

As soon as I walked it, I knew it was better than where I stayed. The room was clean and worth the money. This should be your first stop when visiting the Neptune/Asbury shore area.

Very good customer service. The representative was very nice and made sure that everyone in the room was attended to. 20 mins from Manasquan or Belmar (cheap uber rides). Perfect hotel for people who want to have a good weekend by the beach.

Stayed here over 4th of July weekend. The people who work here are very friendly and the swimming pool is a blast. Rooms are very clean and love the furniture.

It was a very nice hotel and my stay there was satisfactory.

Whenever I travel I always stay at a Holiday Inn express I have always enjoyed the service the cleanliness and the friendly staff. Not to mention the continental breakfast Wi-Fi and parking. My wife and I are planning a trip to New Jersey so I decided I will call the holiday in express in the area. I called and the man working The front desk was named Aaron. He answered the phone stated his name and asked how he could help me I responded good evening and then there was an awkward long pause and in a snotty attitude responded "how can I help you? " I replied I would like to get a price on a room he responded with we don't have any rooms available tonight although I never mentioned I wanted a room tonight. " I suggested maybe he could be a little bit more polite, I was hung up on. I called back and Aaron once again picked up the phone and I asked do you normally hang up on guests? He replied he didn't hang up on me and again with an attitude how can I help you. I proceeded to tell him the dates that I wanted but then decided to hang up because I could never stay in a hotel that provides guest service like that. I'm in business I would never speak to a customer like that, without the customer I don't eat. I will now go and look for another hotel to stay at. Also I won't gain any reward points for my stay.

Nice and clean. I forgot hair gel. So I first asked for gel, they didn't have any, then asked for a comb, nope, then asked for a hairdryer. He said he would send one up. 25 mins later I went to pack the car and he said he didn't have access to that.

New, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Unfortunately no fridge or microwave in room. There was a snag this morning with breakfast… Cook must not have shown up and it wasn't ready before 7:30. Otherwise, great stay.

Check in was easy and the room was clean and ready early! Parking was a little tight but still manageable. Free breakfast always a plus.

The lady on the reception was exceptionally professional and had a smile all the time. As long as the receptionists are good then the hotel is good for me. Rooms are well kept and moderately new.

Clean, friendly, great for kids, easy basic breakfast. We are a family of 4 that stayed here at the end of a riad trip to rest and go to beach next day. Perfect! Asbury is less than 15 min away. I would stay here again.

My uncle had reserved 2 rooms, one for his family and one for myself and my family. These were reserved as 2 Queen beds for each room. This reservation was made in January. Our stay was from June 26-28, so plenty of time in advance to have this accommodation met. My uncle arrived first, only to find 1 King Size bed and a sleep sofa that was unsleepable (felt like you were sleeping on just the springs). After finding this out, my Aunt was very unhappy to say the very least, she spoke with the front desk to voice her displeasure over being charged for a room with 2 Queen beds and not receiving it. The staff explained that "they were overbooked" and could not offer another room. So, apparently it is okay to just give away someone's room who had booked well in advance, to whoever they felt they needed to and everything would be okay. So, the way to resolve the issue in the hotel's eyes is to just bring a small little cot into the room and that would make everything okay… UNACCEPTABLE! Now, myself and my family arrive… to find that AGAIN, that there was not 2 Queen beds, as was reserved, but 2 Full Size beds. My family of 5 is not fitting into 2 Full Size beds. So, to not cause a problem and complain, my wife slept with 2 kids and I myself slept with 1 kid. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping situation for my wife.

I stayed for 8 nights on a business trip and was unfortunate to stay over the weekend when the hotel was crowded. During the week every night they had the loudspeakers turn up in the hallways and even after calling the front desk the hotel staff did not shut the music off. On the weekend the hotel was booked primary with a bunch of kids in town for an sport event. Each night they used the whole hotel as a playground. Playing in the hallways, stairways. Till 11:00pm there were constantly the sound of doors that were slammed and loud shouting in the hallway. The hotel staff did nothing. Top on the list is a used condom that lay in front of the elevator. Nice! All in all I would not recommend this place.

All the staff were very nice, accomodations were excellent and overall a very good experience.

We stayed this past weekend with a group of about 130 people for a regional competition at Monmouth University. Most of these people were between the ages of 11 and 22. My roommate dropped something under the arm chair in the corner of our room. Reached down to pick it up. Saw something else under the chair. Pulled it out. It was a sex toy. How disgusting — we were horrified. We brought pictures to the front desk because we didn't want to touch it. Nothing was done. They laughed and mentioned that the maids needed to clean the rooms better. My daughter had a room with 3 other people up on the 3rd floor. Apparently there was a woman knocking on their doors telling them to "rise with the sun" at 4am, 4:30am, and 5am, and she also had harassed them several times over the weekend (also harassed more of our children too) — we were told that if it happened again to call 911. The hotel did NOTHING about it. One of the kids also mentioned that there was dried blood on his sheets, and another said it took her almost two hours to get a towel so that she could shower. Breakfast food = gross. Garbage cans overflowing onto the FLOOR.

I have just stayed at this location and it was a great clean and comfortable hotel. The previous poster making a comment regarding Tiara could be furtherest from the truth. She was always smiling and pleasant and exceptionally helpful. And as I had to leave in a hurry due to an illness in family she took concern and wished my family member well. And also asked me to be careful driving calm down. So it is obvious THAT REVIEWER did not probably speak to her in a kind way. You may just get what you dish out.

Made a last minute reservation for Sunday nite on Labor Day weekend. Got a great room at a great price. Staff is friendly and knowledgable vs the area's attractions, directions etc. The breakfast cant be beat!. The hot food was hot and the breads and pastries super fresh. The entire copmplex is immaculate and the staff is constantly visisble to keep it that way. I would go back in heartbeat and would reccomend this hotel to all my frends.
